Will the release be wallet mining only or do you have an external cpu miner built as well? Binaries for windows?

622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ħ [HODL] Imagine If Your "Swiss" Bitcoin Account Had Compounding Interest. on: April 07, 2016, 06:13:51 PM
If I want to solo mine with hodlminer what is the full command?

hodlminer.exe -a hodl -o http://127.0.0.1:8332 -u user -p password --no-getwork --coinbase-addr="your hodl address"

Do you need to put your address in quotes or just the address without quotes?
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] !!!!STEEM NOT a SCAM !!!!- NOT a scam only honestly unfair??? on: April 05, 2016, 07:30:47 PM
The coin launched with only a source code on github. How many coins have been called a scam because of this same scenario? Let me give you a hint, all of them.

There are so many red flags here all one has to do is read the OP and the first page.

The launch was designed to give the developers and anyone competent a large advantage. So yes its a scam. The only reason you question it is because you know what your doing and are happily mining away.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Panama Papers open eyes of public towards Crypto? on: April 05, 2016, 07:09:24 PM
Perhaps the elite will start using crypto to store their wealth..  Roll Eyes

When the Elite start using crypto for this purpose, they'll stop getting caught....but only if they use Monero, not Bitcoin.

Bitcoin would work for them too. All they would have to do is secure their addresses and private keys. Unless they "give it up" to LEO then there is no way anyone can know who owns which addresses.

625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did you watch The<Star Wars: The Force Awakens> "? on: April 05, 2016, 02:50:28 PM
It was much better than the last 3 star wars movies.  It was pretty good.  It had a lot of similarities to the first movie.  It started on a desert planet with the main character, it had a droid that met up with the main character, there was a bar similar to the cantina, etc.  There were also some parallels to the 2nd and 3rd movies.  I assume all those things were intentional.

I find its luck of originality disturbing Wink
C'mon, its a goddamm rip of first movie. Same plots, same characters, the same places.
The same bad guy, dress in black with voice modulator.  Roll Eyes
Big weapon (planet size) destroyed exactly the same way! They used almost identical shots,
when ships where dropping bombs...boring, predictable not funny.
Its a remake for new generations.

Hollywood doesn't take chances when it comes to big money. So they keep regurgitating the same old stories over and over with new movies and tv shows. I expected more but got the usual from the entertainment industry.

NOT!

I don't see how this event will have any impact on crypto. Its about rich people evading taxes. Some will get fined others will serve time. Bitcoin will never get mentioned.

My cpus are running at 90 C, is that too hot?

Is it an AMD cpu? If it is then that's normal, you need a liquid cooler or better heatsink/fan for it.

628  Other / Off-topic / Re: Memorable movies on: April 01, 2016, 07:46:26 PM
Highlander.

EPIC! it spawned like 3 or 4 sequels (that were all shit) and a TV series.

I wonder if we can put a bunch of these together and make a free energy motor  Tongue

Actually they look very cool. Designed by a higher intelligence. Like the Grays maybe.

I would hate to have to clean all those litter boxes.

Where does the magnetic pull factor into this theory?

Can some one explain what the agenda of proving the earth is flat or not moving would gain,is this a religious angle or something that I am not aware of? Discredit science by making people believe and then shift to Jesus. Please let me know whats up with all these threads.

Its a social experiment started at some US university. The participants are unknowing and the objective is to prove how fucking stupid people are.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STEEM][POW] - An experimental Proof of Work blockchain on: March 24, 2016, 02:42:14 PM
I have good news and bad news...

bad news: we have identified an integer overflow bug in the POW scheduling that only shows up when difficulty got high (thus didn't show up on our tests).
good news: we have decided to relaunch the chain with the fix and in a way that will hopefully make more people happy

On the relaunch we will do the following:

1. Start a new Thread
2. Give 30 minutes notice ahead of the start of mining
3. Not squat on any names

If there are any other requests for the relaunch we will consider them now.

Like we said from the beginning this is experimental / unproven consensus and beta software.

How about windows binaries so the rest of us can mine?

Freaking ISIS. They just got to shit on happy people all the time.
Seriously what idiot wants to belong to such a group that is so destructive in nature toward all good things in life?

IS/ISIS/Daesh are a bunch of psychopaths recruited from around the world. An army of psychos worse than the Nazis.

What I don't understand is how can France, USA and other countries that have been attacked just sit back and let their people die. Politicians are such pussies, lets see what happens when Trump gets into power. That guy will probably use tactical nukes on them.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STEEM][POW] - NO IPO | NO PREMINE | NO INSTAMINE on: March 23, 2016, 05:03:48 PM
Can someone please compile windows binaries and post them here.

I know it is possible to build this on windows (it is derived from BitShares code which builds on windows), but I don't have a windows machine.

Crap, all my machines are windows. I guess I should just get with the program and install linux on a dual boot for my pcs. That would take a long time, maybe in a couple of weeks when I'm on vacation.

For now I guess I'll just watch and see what happens.
635  Other / Off-topic / Re: Belgium Airport!!! on: March 23, 2016, 02:55:17 PM
When I seen building 7 come down all by itself in a controlled demolition I knew something was up. I just figured that the gooberment had setup explosives to bring any building down that housed secret command bunkers.. kinda naive. Then I got an email with pentagon pics that show no plane wreckage.. That's the first thing that got me thinking.. After that it was all downhill. Reading about this shit and not being able to do anything about it is depressing and damaging to oneself. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I want to go back to the matrix and not remember and of this. That steak sure tastes good.

638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hypotetical question: you have a mineable coin, miners take it all? on: March 22, 2016, 09:55:28 PM

i just mean, how can you avoid the available coins to not be taken by 1-2 individuals and make the distribution more fair?

the whole idea is this:

#avoid it being taken by the few,but powerful miners
#make it available for most people without the need to buy it from the top 3 miners?
#make it live for a long time to avoid pump and dump, that so many coins fall victim to.
-snip-

Give people a reason to mine it.
Have some innovation or backing around your coin you will attract a larger crowd.
Get some help from the crypto community in marketing the coin.
Be completely upfront and transparent about everything.
Launch it with a countdown during a time when most of the world is awake.
Have a roadmap for the coin and follow that roadmap.
After the coin is launched don't change anything in terms of supply, emission, consensus mechanism etc.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ħ [HODL] Interest on all Balances, C-Cex Exchange, 3500%+ Term Deposits on: March 22, 2016, 07:01:17 PM
I could be wrong here but my concern is that the volume on the exchanges will be so low because everyone is investing hodl. If I am not mistaken the exchanges need a certain volume or they discontinue trading the coin?

On YoBit the volume is 1.1BTC in the last 24 hours. I think it has to drop to .01BTC volume for a month before they will think about de-listing it.

GTA 5 - because I can drive on busy sidewalks and full speed and get a nice red paint job at the same time.
