But if this is what we're getting measured against:
http://cryptco.org/Cryptcoin-CryptCast-Anonymous-Whitepaper.pdf

Oh my word, I just read it and it's not so much a 'Whitepaper' as 'back-of-a-napkin'.

Goes to show that it only takes Hype and a good pump team to make a coin nowadays. I can see the apologists lining up to somehow justify this: http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptCoin/comments/28e8be/security_analysis_of_cryptcoins_cryptcast_feature/

How the fuck did this coin get on Polo and Bittrex from the get go and then just die off? So fucking scammy! where is the dev?

Any movement on the Whitepaper yet?

Whilst branded product giveaways are fun they don't exactly tackle the criticisms and concerns people are expressing about this coin, namely, that it is lacking substance and is simply an extremely well-marketed series of promises.

Were you to actually have a technically superior implementation of this coin's features, one that was demonstrably so by way of a Whitepaper that describes the back-end processes with the same degree of accomplishment as you market the front-end, this coin would have inherent value that would lift it out of the quagmire it has been sitting in for quite some time now, well, quite some time in cryptocurrency-land anyway.

Yup, we need a technical whitepaper detailing the entanglement engine. I think they are working on it.

1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Primecoin - why no clones? on: June 14, 2014, 11:19:57 PM
Nobody makes them because nobody knows how to make pools for Primecoin clones. With the exception of a handful of developers.

1526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [BGR] Bongger! Wooooo!!! Weeeeeeeeee!!! Bonggers!!!!! Yeah!!! on: June 13, 2014, 08:06:48 PM

They are way undervalued now, buy them up!
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][LIT] LightCoin | ASIC Resist X11 POW+POS | Long term plans | No IPO on: June 13, 2014, 03:08:07 PM
I have thought carefully on the name of the coin and me and my coworkers scammer friends have decided that Lightcoin is the appropriated name for the plans we have for this project. We are here for the long haul short term and to deliver  scam you out of your money so I don't have any hurry to see a community grow around Lightcoin development. I mean really, whats the point of a community when we just plan to fool you and steal your money.
Lightcoin (LIT) is to be confused by the scrypt algo crypto currency named Litecoin (LTC). I am sure people can see the differences. will be fooled by the similarities. Then just buy it thinking they are buying LTC.

Fuck you and give us your money.

I fixed that for you. Now it says what your real intentions are.

1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] Project Trust & Credibility DEAD, utopianfuture admitted HOAXING** on: June 13, 2014, 01:15:22 PM
Typical elitist "Do as I say not as I do".

Crypto seems to attract the type. So now the question is, what is the next scam from his sock puppet accounts? This guy is not going anywhere.

1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CLOAK - Full of Bull Shit on: June 13, 2014, 11:01:13 AM
Yup, seems the coins with hype take all the press and the coins that have actual working anonymous don't even get noticed. Its all about marketing (bullshitting). I don't get why you guys don't see pinkcoin as an anon coin Huh Huh It just sits there and goes nowhere while these new scammy lies do well. Its beyond me.

1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Revamped PinkCoin (PC) Pure 100% PoS | Multipool | Fundraiser | Anonymous on: June 13, 2014, 01:05:59 AM

1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Revamped PinkCoin (PC) Pure 100% PoS | Multipool | Fundraiser | Anonymous on: June 12, 2014, 06:47:13 PM
For the moment we PINK have a website for anon transfer, that is great.
But I would like to see this implemented in the wallet, is there any timeline/schedule for that?

+1 for PINK

Nope... all that in development and no schedule whatsoever. They will be released when they will be released Smiley We all know what happened to the coins who gave schedules, promises and time frames. And looking at all the new experimental features we're brainstorming and toying with, a time frame is the most unproductive thing we can happen for this coin. Unlike other coins (and most public companies), we don't plan on "pleasing" traders or investors with a stimulant (hype) each quarter / month / week. We go down that road, then we will only have time for that. Sockpuppet management is a time consuming and often expensive working style... but it simulates activity and pleases the day traders Smiley

Hi, thanks for quick reply.
Even though you dont want to have a timeschedule for upcoming releases I think that the PinkCoin community would appreciate to know what features and functions will be implemented.

I appreciate whatever you are doing guys but want to know what features will implemented and by that said I think that more people would engage and take part of the Pink community.

regards

I understand the anxiety to know whats coming up in the future for Pinkcoin, and like anyone coughing up money in an investment, would like as much details as possible. But pretty much the major things we're working on are unique to Pink and cannot be comparable to features of other coins at the moment. We're also in the middle of testing their feasability... whether its practical, most effecient way to go about implementing them etc. Some of them may not even be remotely possible. It would be an embarrassment to say we're working on so-n-so feature, news spread like wildfire, prices shooting up, only to realize its not feasible, and prices come crashing down leaving behind a horde of bag holders... impatient for the next "feature" to be announced so they can cash out with minimal loss, etc. The announcement cycle will be a never ending process then... giving hints and stuff every few days, putting more pressure to get half baked features out there. It has the same outcome of having a timeline. Its one of the reasons we adopted a no announcements / hype policy and ninja launch them when they are ready for public. In some cases like the anon, we needed a larger base of users to test it out and provide feedback so we could fix the bugs before rolling out the final version and locking it.

Rest assured, now that its behind us, we're moving on to tinkering with other features that really matter. I'm not going to lie... its going to be a while. Just don't keep refreshing every 10 minutes like McHammer to see if the next feature is announced  Cheesy

Thanks for the update.

1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X overheating problem on: June 12, 2014, 01:05:13 PM
After you get better airflow you probably want to save those cards by flashing them with an optimized bios. There is a guy on the LTC forums named The Stilt that seems to be very talented at that. Here is the thread: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=12369.0 all you need to do is search it for your card, download the optimized bios and flash each one. I guarantee that you will have much less heat produced by doing this one thing alone.

Just to give you an idea of what it will do, I also have a bunch of R9 280x sapphires. When I ran them stock the temps were like you said and the VRM (voltage regulators) were almost 120 degrees. After the Bios flash my VRMs run 65 degrees and the cards stay nice and cool at about 55-65 degrees. With 725Kh/s each..

1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Open Letter] Enough. Altcoin exchanges have to be public or die. on: June 11, 2014, 07:26:29 PM
Bittrex ad and delist on a weekly whim is pretty much the dumbest shortsighted strategy I've seen in an exchange. More supports short term pump n dump, start a new rinse and repeat then adding any longterm value to a real decent coins.

That may be true, but I have no reason to believe that Bittrex will delist HYPER in the near or far future. When they continue to see HYPER progress and gain market volume, they'll keep it listed.

Sorry that wasn't an opening for you to promote your shitcoin  Roll Eyes

It's not a shitcoin and I don't appriciate your arrogance. I have no patients left for those who believe the HYPER is anything but genuine, think whatever you want. It's pretty sad that there's so many scams in the crypto world that every alt coin is considered guilty until proven innocent. The fact that you would just assume it's a scam (nice try deleting your post btw) just lends credence to the idea that anonymity is bad for the crypto community. Forced transparency, not by some regulatory commission, but by the people, is what will keep cryptocurrencies relevent in the professional world. Arrogance, assumptions based on nothing more than a bad taste left by some of the scams in recent history, is not acceptable in a civilized discussion on the potential ramifications of complete transparency of cryptocurrency exchanges. Thanks for wasting five minutes of my life...

Based on your post I decided to take a look at HYPER. What I found was promises to make a space exploration game that uses HYPER as in game currency. The flaw in your plan is that you will pay the developers in HYPER to make the game. Do you have any idea what it takes to make a video game like this? Its going to cost you about a million dollars in salaries and take over a year to complete. Who in their right mind would take a worthless coin as payment on the assumption that it may be worth something in the future? I think the crypto world needs to be much more evolved before anything like this is possible. Maybe in 10 years something like this will work but not right now.

Chances are its a complete lie and a scam to get hype and increase value. Thing is, we don't fall for that anymore. That is why everyone automatically calls it a shitcoin or scamcoin.

1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Day Trading - Phone, Tablet, Netbook, or Laptop? on: June 11, 2014, 06:28:27 PM
Forget tethering, that is just a waste of time. I take it your making money so you want something reliable. Get yourself an ultrabook, nice and light. Make sure you get the model with built in mobile. It will have a slot for a simcard.

And awaaay you go..

Simply hibernate it when you are done, open the lid, your trading again in seconds with all your websites up.

I'll say this - you get what you pay for.
