Haha

Quem dera. Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2043545

"- Posts in others board will not count."  Angry

625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Robot wars: Japan agrees to fight America in giant "Battlebots" duel on: July 18, 2017, 06:24:21 PM
Russia today has become synonymous with lies so it is better not to quote this false channel. Only Trump can blame CNN and not pay attention to RT.

[...]

I don't know that RT is all that different from most other news networks, really - they certainly have their (decidedly pro-Russian) bias, but then, every other outlet will tend to serve their owner's (individual, corporate, or national) interest. The best you can hope for is that you have an idea of what those interests are, so that you can get a glimpse of the big picture (why do certain stories get pushed at certain times, what spin is given to those stories when compared to other sources, and so on).

But anyway, let's not get (even more) sidetracked here. Tongue

The world every day is crazy...

... and it's about to get crazier still! Tongue (probably)

Over two years after the initial challenge, we might finally have the chance to see two sluggish, barely functional giant robots duke it out some time next month: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd4m7bX9NfM ("GIANT ROBOT DUEL DETAILS", 01m09s).

23rd WEEKLY PAYOUT: 05/05/17

With this payout, the signature campaign funds have now been depleted.  I would like to thank all of the participants for this 23 week campaign and wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: XII FREE Tipster Competition - sponsored by DirectBet (Discussion Thread) on: May 26, 2017, 03:32:40 PM
[...]

Why not start the competition funded by the users, then seek a sponsor later? This competition may be expensive, so maybe a sponsor won't be willing to pay everything.  With completely news rules, of course.

I think the option of a competition with no sponsor should only be followed as a last resource.
It's a good idea, but I'm sure the prizes will be more interesting with a sponsor. But it would be an interesting idea to test as another Side Competition, so 3 competitions total! There could be a competition where users would pay a buy in, that would be used as a prize pool (just like in poker tournaments). If we get a sponsor they could put some added bonus, or a guaranteed prize pool (just like in poker as well).

Actually, this seems to have given FrueGreads some new ideas for the competition - let's see what else he's going to come up with. Wink

i hear about directbet will be closed huh? omg this is my favourite gambling site . and how about this contest? will change the name? or find the new sponsor? but i think the best sponsor is only directbet!

DirectBet was very good to us, but we are doing our best to find a great new sponsor, tyoA7X.

The name of the competition itself will likely remain the same, however: "Tipster Competition" - the "sponsored by" bit in the thread title will need changing, of course.
629  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Campanhas de assinaturas que aceitam posts locais on: May 23, 2017, 08:39:52 PM

Recomendo.

Me pagaram hoje também. Tudo direitinho.

Sorry, rudada, but the XII Tipster Competition is already over.

Take a look at the competition's Discussion Thread instead (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1256522), to keep up to date on the latest news / suggestions / schedules / whatever else ends up in there. Smiley

Yes, PokerDiceMan; participants can use DirectBet's Playing Wallet to place their sports bets and so, by extension, to participate in the competition.

EDIT: hahay beat me to it. Wink

Hey, everyone.  I just wanted to let you all know that the announcement of the winners of the XII Tipster Competition, along with the announcement of the winners of the Side Competition, will be done tomorrow (at around 14h). This has, of course, no impact on the tournament's schedule, which will be ending in about an hour.

Good luck, everyone, and don't forget to place the required 100 valid bets, especially if you're in the Top 7. Smiley

How does the side competition work at this stage? Only names from phase 1 participate for this competition Huh

Yes, only the participants who finished the first phase of the Side Competition with the highest scores passed to the second phase.

So, basically, the first phase was used as a way to select the 24 (out of more than 200) participants that would be taking part in the Mini-Leagues stage.

[...]

Do I still have a chance on the side contest ? I really do not really understand the new system in this contest
So I just played like a rule last season, So I want to know if I still have a chance or not.

Sure you do. Smiley

You passed the first phase of the Side Competition, so you are automatically participating in each of the (four) Mini-Leagues we are running during this tournament. And, just to clarify, each Mini-League works pretty much like the first phase did, or how the Side Competition worked in previous rounds: participants are awarded points based on how much ROI they make each day (taking into account bonus points for winning Daily Challenges, and penalties for not placing bets each day) and, at the end of each Mini-League, the top placed players are rewarded. The major difference between the current and the previous systems is that, where before we only had one League running from about the start of the tournament to the end, we now have four different, and relatively independent Leagues running in succession (with the points accumulated by each participant being reset at the start of each new League).

So, even if the previous Mini-Leagues didn't go well for you, you can still reach the top paying places in the next (we're currently in the middle of the third Mini-League, and there is a fourth starting soon). Also, remember that each day of the Side Competition has a Daily Challenge, each worth 30 mBTC.

EDIT: added some more information.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: XII FREE Tipster Competition - sponsored by DirectBet (Discussion Thread) on: April 24, 2017, 06:06:06 PM
I want to use jikin <1> for contes Mini League 3, because jikin <3> has finished bet 100x

Sure; we'll start using your first entry in the Side Competition calculations as soon as possible (your third entry will still have to be considered for the first day of the current Mini-League however, as it has bets placed and settled today).
