Yes, you can make more than 100 valid bets, FriendlyChemist, without being disqualified because of it - that rule was probably not worded very well. What we meant by it is that, aside from needing 100 valid bets to qualify for prizes, this time around (unlike in previous rounds of this competition), any additional bets participants make beyond the minimum will not be counted (in other words, won't affect who will win the competition).

If so, all you need to do is to post here, stating your starting bankroll (how much you will start the competition with) and what address you will be using throughout the event, following the format presented in the third post of this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467.msg12963505#msg12963505).

Hmm, those 10 bets will only count as 10 valid bets (as far as this competition is concerned) if they are not duplicates of one another; otherwise, only the first will be counted.

So, multiple bets in the same result (say, Barcelona winning) will only count as 1 bet here (even though, those several bets will still be honored by DirectBet; they just won't count as more than one bet towards the requirements of this competition). However, multiple bets in different markets (for example: winner of the match; over 1.5 goals; Barcelona clean sheet) will all count as different bets.

1. Well, no, users aren't allowed to play in this competition with more than one account, so having a minimum rank requirement is still useful. However, there is only so much we can do to enforce such a rule, while not restricting (what we believe to be) legitimate users from joining - one of the reasons why we send invites directly to some users below the minimum rank requirement, and allow some other exceptions, on occasion.

2. Hmm, yes, we might keep the registration period open for longer if we believe the number of participants (current, and potentially still going to join) justifies it. But anyone registering late will miss out on the initial daily challenges.

3. That's kind of the reason we will probably not be repeating the first challenge - it's not really gambling related.



I might as well answer here, while I'm at it.

Ranks, in this forum, are determined by your Activity. You usually gain 14 Activity points every two weeks, provided you post regularly (and at least once in those two week periods). Also, important to note here, is that Activity can't be higher than the number of Posts a user makes. So, what sometimes happens is that, if a user doesn't post very often (but still posts at least once, in enough of those two week periods), his Activity might not increase as much as it usually would (the Activity being limited by the number of Posts, as I mentioned above); however, that maximum Activity an account was supposed to get (if it had more posts) isn't lost, which means that, if the user makes additional posts, the account's Activity will also increase.

Thus, a "potential Full Member" is a lower ranked account that has enough maximum (unfulfilled) Activity to reach Full Member (>= 120 Activity), but still needs more posts to get there. You're account also has "potential Activity", by the way: maybe about 42 points in total.

I'd prefer a space themed strategy game but, lacking one of those to play at the moment, I'll take this one.

A few suggestions/complaints:

• It seems that the registration process doesn't allow you to set a password longer than 16 characters, but doesn't warn you of such - I had set one longer than that, and then had trouble logging in.
• The confirmation email that is sent after registration should probably not contain the player's password.
• Maybe consider adding an email notification system, able to warn offline players when certain events happen: construction completes; research completes; player is attacked; etc..
• Build queue - I understand this might partially conflict with the option to pay to immediately complete a building, but...
• As far as I can tell, there is a limit to the amount of buildings that can be built in a territory - maybe there should be a way to demolish buildings as well, in case a player wants to reclaim some space?
• The start of the game is very slow: after building a few of the initial buildings, and running out of resources doing so, I was forced to stop playing (as there was no further action I could take). Maybe it would be beneficial to start the player out with a few more options: maybe more resources, so they don't run out so quickly in the beginning; maybe a couple of scout units we can play around with; or maybe with more of the basic buildings already built (which everyone has to build anyway), allowing the player to start specializing more quickly.

Sorry, amrulshare, but, as Mediator pointed out, this campaign is already full (check back in March; we may reopen the campaign at that time).

No, that's not what I meant. By "double posts", I meant two (or more) posts made by the same user, one directly after the other in the same thread, which could (and often should) just have been made in the same post.

As an example, consider this post of mine: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467.msg13987816#msg13987816 - instead of editing the post to add that last bit about bitbollo, I could have just made another post with it. Had I done so, in the context of this campaign, that would be considered a "double post", and count only as one post (instead of two).
