As a European, i like the way Sanders is talking... To bad he's so old, chances are he will not be able to finish his term if he gets elected...

[...]

Well, Bernie Sanders certainly looks like it, when compared to Clinton or Trump, but he's not that much older; 74, versus 68 and 69, respectively - and he's in good shape, apparently, so I think he'll be around 4 or 5 more years, at least.

And, to paraphrase a comment from TYT, Trump (and Hillary) would look far older too, if he stopped dying his hair orange. Smiley

I'm sure I should not be Mr. Donald Trump. Current alternatives I think the more moderate, is Mrs. Clinton, but to be honest none convinces me completely.
Mrs. Clinton is not moderate in my opinion. Maybe she is conservative, but she is not moderate. An overview of her opinions can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Hillary_Clinton

I wouldn't exactly call a warmonger who is eager to start the WW3 as a "moderate". And with regards to her political positions, she seems more left-wing than the current POTUS, Barack Obama. The United States had enough of ultra-left wing lunacy during the past 8 years. Now it is time to elect someone who is a bit more conservative.

Billary might seem more left-wing than Obama now, but only because her campaign is being pushed in that direction by Bernie - who knows how much more right-leaning she will actually be like, if she gets into office. But to call Obama ultra-left wing is ridiculous; he was paid for and served the establishment (just like Hillary has so far), with little deviation (certainly not as much as he could have deviated from, if he really was such a radical). 1342  Other / Off-topic / Re: Name your favorite YouTube channel on: January 31, 2016, 09:01:03 PM
It's hard to name just one channel (especially considering they cover such vastly different topics and styles), but I suppose a fair way of choosing is by most time spent on. In that case, my favorite channel is "The Young Turks" (https://www.youtube.com/user/TheYoungTurks) - it's a news channel, but it has both very high quality content, and is very entertaining (definitely worth to follow).

Other than that, there are several other channels I like to keep an eye on (in no particular order):

https://www.youtube.com/user/TheAmazingAtheist - The Amazing Atheist, and his ramblings on, well, just about anything.
https://www.youtube.com/user/penguinz0 - very amusing reviews of, less than well known, games by penguinz0.
https://www.youtube.com/user/Vsauce - at times weird (in a good way), but always very interesting content.
https://www.youtube.com/user/RichardDWolff - RichardDWolff and his monthly presentations on Global Capitalism.
https://www.youtube.com/user/thejuicemedia - thejuicemedia with their critic/commentary on current events (some of the videos are hilarious).
https://www.youtube.com/user/TheRealNews - The Real News Network: another news channel, but also very good and informative.
https://www.youtube.com/user/crashcourse - they have a series of mini-courses on a variety of subjects (and new ones coming out frequently).
https://www.youtube.com/user/minutephysics - quick and interesting physics related videos.
https://www.youtube.com/user/sixtysymbols - they periodically cover Astronomy and Physics related subjects (in a simple and easy to understand way).

1343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkey warns Russia they 'face consequences' after fresh airspace violations on: January 31, 2016, 08:18:19 PM
but the thing is that russia wants to destroy isis...that is the main objective....so turkey has to have patience...and help russia in destroying the isis

I wouldn't say destroying ISIS is Russia's main objective; rather, their main objective would be securing their interests and influence in the region. If ISIS gets in the way, they want to get rid of it, sure; but the same is true for any other "moderate" faction (to the extent those might exist, if at all), as well as any other foreign forces.

erdogan is definitely right.. he must take some precaution for his country'S sake..

Precaution against what, exactly? It's not like Russia is looking to attack Turkey proper - they certainly are attacking Turkish interests in Syria, but it should be obvious by now Turkey et al. aren't going to get their way there (to the detriment of everyone else).

[...]

On a serious note, I didn't find a hero member for the open spot in the crypto-games.net campaign over the last week.
Maybe a listing in the active section will drive someone interested over there.

Hmm, it might be a good idea to also ask DogecoinMachine to update the OP of the thread to reflect an open spot for the Hero Members then - not everyone will look at a Google Doc spreadsheet by default, or go through the thread in the hopes that there is a mention of an open spot somewhere (especially when the OP was updated not that long ago: Jan 27).

Also, increasing the rates might help. Cheesy
1345  Other / Off-topic / Re: LoL, DOTA 2, HoN, Hots on: January 31, 2016, 07:43:46 PM
The only one of these games that I played was League of Legends, and even then, that was quite a while ago (in fact, I started playing when it first came out). I never ended up venturing outside of LoL because, well, the others weren't out yet at the time, and by the time they were, the friends I was playing with were obsessed with LoL - and playing these games without people you know is, usually, not as great an experience.

But, truth be told, I was never a great fan of these types of games - and both my net and computer kind of suck, and so did my playing ability (totally because of the pc and net, not my own fault in any way). Tongue

dota2 is most popular from these games, and it is awesome. But the problems are:
1. you may start hating people if you play without your team
2. too many crazy russians who play realy bad and scream all the time

Well, for the second "problem" at least, LoL had several servers set up (three if I remember correctly: Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and North America), which could help mitigate any "cultural shock" - it also had a "mute" button. Cheesy

Don't the other games have something similar in place?
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: January 31, 2016, 07:37:44 PM
Actually gambling also a good way to earn 1bitcoin a year or even more. but yeah, it's risky. for risky investments like HYIP, it's more risky than gambling though.

ya gambling really good also to earn 1 BTC quickly and it depends on your strategy in playing gambling.

I'm pretty sure there is no gambling strategy that will ensure you will have an easy time making 1 BTC - either you are lucky (and preferably, have a good bankroll to start with), or you're unlucky (and lose) - or you own the casino, I guess. Tongue

Now, there may be a couple of small exceptions to this, where luck may not play the overwhelming role it does elsewhere (like, maybe in sports bets; where there is some background information to inform your decisions), but even then, it's still a risky endeavor, and should only be entered by those fully prepared to lose the amount they wager.
1347  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the best way to make money on the internet? on: January 31, 2016, 06:49:52 PM
Hallo guys I am asking this question for a long time and I really want your advise in this topic however if anyone of you have make a lot of money from the internet I would love your help  Smiley

Well, what the best way of making money is, really depends on the individual, and: how risk-averse (s)he is; what skills (s)he has; what type of contacts, and how many of them, (s)he has; and so on - so, try not to look so much at formulas from someone who happened to make a lot of money online (to the extent they will actually share their methods), but rather, at what you have to offer, and how far are you willing/able to go.

Now, trading, gambling, and questionable investments, can certainly seem like a shortcut to "fame and riches", but they tend to be too risky for most to be able to have a constant return from them. So, I'd personally recommend starting out small, by nurturing that skill you have, or that you have always wanted to develop, and then offering to work on it for others, before moving on to bigger and better - it's not an easy road either, and there will most likely be a lot of competition, but it's almost certainly the road that will offer you the greatest possibilities in the future.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: January 31, 2016, 06:42:13 AM
only few days left before the competition officially finished and so far 32 of 50 competitor qualified made 70+ bets it means need 18 competitors left to make top 7 place getting full prize come on guys you still can beat the 480% roi by making a good parlay , only few days left! let's make this competition more fun! GL

Yes tonight is the battle parlay you still have a chance with 12.97% ROI and 76 best while I only have 8.13 % ROI and 4 bets seems I had no expectations to win but I have prepared a strategy if successful I will fulfill all bets up to 70 bets

Will we be seeing a last minute meteoric rise in the leaderboard? Stay tuned, everyone. Smiley

But, if you're going to rely on parlays to quickly rise through the ranks, please remember that you may have to do more than the usual 70 bets to qualify. Specifically, if one of your winning bets is won at odds above 35, the required number of bet slips will be double that odd (as described in the Main Rules, 5.1).
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: January 31, 2016, 05:59:59 AM
Hi, u9y42. Honest I did not proficient in betting of any kind. I have 1354.5 Loyalty Points in casino.directbet, honest to get 1000 loyalty points just very heavy, in this competition consolation prize get 100 mbtc and I think it's too big for the consolation prize. not wrong if DirectBet said that. just a suggestion from me: consolation prize should not be as big as it is,to what gave the consolation prize if it is difficult to obtain, 10 mbtc for consolation prize and need 100 loyalty points before it can be withdrawn maybe it looks good.

Alright, let's see what FrueGreads and DirectBet think about it (as well as the other participants, if they have something to say about this).

That's the spirit. Wink

Now, not that I want to undermine the message, but I just have to make a small correction: it's not a few days left; it's 18 hours left. Cheesy

To be clear: the current round ends February 1st 00h, UTC (18 hours from now).
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: January 31, 2016, 03:33:50 AM
Please remember that if you do not have the minimum 70 bet slips, you will not receive any prizes (including the participation prize).
Participation Prize - All qualified participants will receive 100 mBTC Casino House Credit
(3,000 loyalty points need to be earned before it can be withdrawn).

minimum 70 bet slips - 3,000 loyalty points need to be earned before it can be withdrawn
why not all made number 7, minimum 70 bet slips and 7,000 loyalty points need to be earned before it can be withdrawn.

consolation prize need 3,000 loyalty broo before withdrawn, consolation prize 10mbtc alone broo but loyalty points reduced to 70 loyalty points

Hi, hahay. I don't personally have a lot of experience with DirectBet's Loyalty Points system, to be honest, but here's what DirectBet said earlier on this subject:

the prize payed in Casino credit how many time need to be played before withdrawal?
there is a "roll-over"?

You need to earn 3,000 loyalty points before you can withdraw the 100 mBTC house credit.

If you play optimally, on average you are expected to have more than 90 mBTC left to withdraw by the time you reach 3,000 loyalty points.

So essentially the value of the participation prize is more than 90 mBTC !

That's why I mentioned earlier that there is a lot of value in this competition. Everyone will win.

Sign up now here  : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467.0

So, I'm under the impression it shouldn't be that hard to withdraw, if not all, at least the majority of the consolation prize. But, as always, we will take into account the opinions and ideas of all participants and, if we can come up with a better system, adjust the rules accordingly for the next round.
1351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Neteller now is using Bitpay to accept Bitcoin as deposit method - Big news! on: January 30, 2016, 12:57:18 AM
what are everyones limits with this?  i see max 3500 dollars for usd for bitcoin.  So if i want to convert 3500 bitcoin to neteller, it cost 35 dollars.

any chance they make it zero fees?

That's doubtful, unfortunately; in fact, up to a few months ago, they were planning on increasing the fee to 5% (though they apparently settled at 1%). But, regardless of the deposit fee, the main problem with this service is still the same: what to do with the Bitcoin deposits - users can't (directly): withdraw the money; use it to make online purchases; or use it in conjunction with their Net+ cards. I suppose one can try to circumvent their limitations somehow (perhaps by passing the money along to another account or site first, as previously mentioned), but there is always the risk of being caught and losing both account and coins.

By the way, you wouldn't be able to convert 3500 bitcoins with their limits (perhaps you meant "convert $3500 worth of bitcoin"), but if you could, the fee would be 1% as well (so, 35 bitcoins). I'm not sure what limits VIP member accounts have, however (if any).
1352  Other / Meta / Re: New features added? on: January 29, 2016, 08:11:15 PM
I just want to ask this because now im comfused, im not sure if this is new and I have never seen it before, or it's just that I didn't pay attention and those options have been there since day one. Im talking about this:

"Show unread posts since last visit."
"Show new replies to your posts."
"Watchlist"

I think this wasn't ever before, and it only showed "Total time logged in:", also im not sure if it showed my avatar on top. Im confused  Huh

I agree with Shibashi Dogemoto; as far as I can recall, those options have been there, if not since I registered here a few years ago, close to it (except for the avatars). There are also further options you can add to that list; for example, the "Patrol" link1 - maybe you had some of the other options disabled, if that is even possible? Or maybe, you recently changed your browser? (I've been using Firefox this entire time).

1 - to enable/disable this, go to your "Profile" -> "Forum Profile Information" -> "Show patrol link: Shows a link to the patrol page under "watchlist"". However, I see no settings concerning the other options, in the "Modify Profile" section.

I can not wait for the next competition, because I did not register in this last competition. whether the rules will be the same as before?
if I can give a little advice for the next competition? happy to give advice to the competition more interesting Smiley

Sure; feel free to share any and all ideas you may have to make the competition more interesting - after the end of the current round, we will review the event, and improve upon the rules (as we have done in every round so far). Smiley
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: January 29, 2016, 06:52:30 PM
If I bet on 30 January while the match began on 2 February whether it includes a valid bet and Obtain ROI ?
Now I have 40 wager would like to add 30 bets again bacause many big match starts on 2 February

Well, if you make those bets before the end of the competition (and they are valid), they will count towards your total number of bets. However, if the bets are settled only after the end of the competition, those bets will not affect your ROI, or your position in the leaderboard, as we won't know the result until too late.
1355  Economy / Digital goods / Re: How much would a simple website cost? on: January 29, 2016, 02:55:43 AM
Well if you need a website to be that simple you can try to use Wordpress/Blogspot and add free theme in it Wink

This. However, if you want a custom website made for you, it should cost a measly amount like <$10-15; less if they use a template.

Well, first, the website really is for a friend of mine (I'm asking this on his behalf) - I would have no problem admitting it was for me, if that was the case. Wink

Then, the thing is, he was offered a sort of package deal, in relation to the project he is working on, and the website is only part of it (the rest is not IT related). But the amount they were asking for the work they would be doing was rather high, so, we were wondering if it could be due to the webpage somehow - looking at all the values mentioned so far (design, domain, hosting), I guess not.

That's all we needed to know; thanks, everyone.
1356  Economy / Digital goods / How much would a simple website cost? on: January 28, 2016, 11:45:13 PM
I'm not sure this is the best/right sub-forum for this question, but anyway: how much would a simple website cost? A friend of mine will possibly end up having one made for a project of his, and would like to have an idea of the prices being asked. The website itself would likely be very simple, with no more than 5 or 6 pages (home; about; a page to hold/show photos; and little more), and a menu to navigate between them - no login, database, or anything else, really.

Thanks.
1357  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: January 28, 2016, 07:02:02 PM
well it was proven so yeah

There is no evidence, that I'm aware of, that proves aliens are real (much less that they have ever visited the Earth) - care to fill me in? Tongue

There are new structures on the moon you can google this and it shows a time frame of what looks like a base with tunnels. Also very weird how ancient Egyptians drew hieroglyphics of helicopters and spaceships.Type this into google images "ancient egyptian helicopter"

Actually, they most likely did no such thing: chances are the "hieroglyphs" you are referring to were simple the product of the originals being re-carved, or otherwise modified (which seems to have been a common occurrence back then): http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Abydos_helicopter.

In relation to the moon structures/tunnels/bases you mentioned: is there any site where I can learn more about it? Predictably, randomly googling for the keywords you provided gives way too many "conspiracy related" results (and most of them nonsense).
1358  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Re: Como ganhar bitcoins? on: January 28, 2016, 06:01:47 PM
Eu tentei varias outras campanhas e nunca me aceitaram.

If you are having lag, I assume you are not using Google Chrome but Mozilla Firefox. Try playing again with Google Chrome and ensure that flash player is updated. I had the same problems with Firefox and after I tried it with Google Chrome the experience was much more smoother.

Ah, yes; I am using Firefox (in fact, I don't even have Chrome installed anymore - I tried it maybe a year ago, but its mandatory updates, that I didn't know how to turn off, were starting to annoy me, so I got rid of it Tongue).

But anyway, my net does legitimately suck: having a ping over 200 or 300 ms isn't unusual, unfortunately, so I may not be able to do anything about the lag. However, I suppose Chrome's javascript interpreter might, at least, make the experience a bit smoother (by the way, the game doesn't actually use flash, right? Isn't it all/mostly javascript on the client side?).
1360  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Re: Como ganhar bitcoins? on: January 28, 2016, 04:37:45 PM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036113.msg12989915#msg12989915
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036113.msg12960967#msg12960967
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036113.msg12435506#msg12435506

Undecided
