Perhaps through campaigns like YoBit, that require users to visit their site?
Didn't think about them (not a big fan either), but with VPNs and stuff, that could lead to alot of mishits IMO.
Nobody would start banning on that basis.

I agree - precisely why I said what I did.
1322  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: February 15, 2016, 04:48:12 PM
However, some signature campaigns do explicitly prohibit users from joining with more than one account, and will ban (from their campaign) and deny payment to anyone caught (or believed to have been caught) doing so - although, having the same IP as another user is probably not enough for someone to act on, but I could be wrong.
How would a signature campaign manager get access to the IP addresses of the users in the campaign, in order to connect two accounts in that way and kick them for the reason of multi-accounting?

Perhaps through campaigns like YoBit, that require campaign participants to visit their site?
1323  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: February 15, 2016, 04:44:58 PM
I am a little new at the signature campaign.  My wife is a newbie and is asking about joining a signature campaign too.  Is it allowed to have 2 users from the same IP address in signature campaigns? I just want to make sure we don't get banned if she joins one.

Well, the forum itself poses no such restriction: you're free to create and use however many accounts as you wish (with or without paid signatures), provided you (or those sharing your IP) don't spam, or break other basic forum rules.

However, some signature campaigns do explicitly prohibit users from joining with more than one account, and will ban (from their campaign) and deny payment to anyone caught (or believed to have been caught) doing so - although, simply having the same IP as another user is probably not enough for someone to act on, but I could be wrong.

Cool!

I'm In with 100 mBtc plz.

Welcome back, Jcga - FrueGreads will add you to the list shortly. Smiley

In the meantime, please make sure to re-read the rules; we've made a couple of changes since the last round.

1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Discussion Thread) on: February 15, 2016, 11:00:56 AM
registration started? and where should I enroll?

No, the registration period hasn't started yet (but should very soon, as Republikcoin.com pointed out). As soon as it does start, participants should use the Registration Thread1 to register.

1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Discussion Thread) on: February 14, 2016, 07:11:20 PM
So, when will we get the final updates? Prizes and things like that. I liked the "entries" so far, I want to know what the "main course" is xD

We should know more in the next few days - sit tight. Smiley

Will be another competition thread?I want to participate in a new competition.Nice picks I saw in all competitions.

No, we will be maintaining the same three threads we have now, and new announcements (relating to dates, prizes, updates, or whatever else) will be made here.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Discussion Thread) on: February 11, 2016, 01:18:55 PM
The prizes should be paid everyday for your casino account, and the value should be around 30mBTC.

Since those are "prizes", I guess there is no rollover requirement, or, there is? The later would suck for those that use the playing wallet since according to Directbet you cannot withdraw anything from your wallet till you clear any rollover (or, you have the alternative of renouncing to the bonus, which does not sound good either).

Yes, there will be a rollover requirement of 1000 points for each of the 30 mBTC daily bonus. However, to avoid the withdraw restriction you mentioned, participants can request that the bonus be issued in DOGE instead of BTC (or vice-versa) - this will place the restriction on DOGE, while allowing BTC to be used, or withdrawn, normally.

You need to watch other 250 episodes... Things getting complicated and mysterious than ever...

Right... because they really needed those 500 episodes to "warm up", before getting to the good part. Cheesy
1330  Economy / Services / Re: Bit★Starz.com January Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC/month on: February 06, 2016, 01:28:22 PM
thank you for the payment
waiting for next campaign Smiley

If they should pause the campaign, then the result is they would never re-open it again.

It might indeed be wishful thinking that they will re-open the campaign again, as you seem to be suggesting, but that isn't always the case. It wouldn't be the first time a signature campaign returns after pausing for a period of time, often with a new model and/or payment structure - in fact, hasn't BitStarz gone through that before as well?
1331  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Main Thread) on: February 06, 2016, 01:17:19 PM
Just a question with min. 100 mbtc bankroll, does that mean I have to bet 100 mbtc every bet or what? Sorry I don't quite understand. I am actually interested in participating here.

Those 100 mBTC refer to the minimum bankroll participants will have to start the competition with (in other words, how much BTC they start with, and from where the BTC for each bet is "deducted" from; with the expectation that: that amount will have to last for the whole competition, and that they will ideally end up with a higher bankroll than they started with).

Now, as mamansuherman was getting at, that doesn't mean you have to bet with that whole amount each time - in fact, the stake for each bet must be between 1% and 5% of your current bankroll (the amount of BTC you currently have), as described in the Main Rules 4, and 4.1 (the specific amounts might change for the next round, however).

By the way, let's use the Discussion Thread1 instead, and leave this thread only for participants to post bets in.

1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: February 06, 2016, 12:18:43 PM
Is it just me or some dude wants someone else's place because it has a bigger reward lol. Jeez people turn into animals when cash is involved over the Internet.

Isn't that the whole idea bro? It's a competition so people try their best to win? I'm not in thr competition but people don't play to lose? If they have a chance to win then they aim to do just that?

Well, sure... but we would prefer to keep the competition limited to the betting abilities of the participants - Wendigo was suggesting bitbollo was trying to get rid of the other competitors by having them disqualified / unable to enter future events (specifically, because they have received some negative feedback). Cheesy

Come on, bitbollo... Roll Eyes

Hi i want to join tipster champ can i registration in here??
Thx

Hi, Vinzzila. Short answer is: not yet, and not here. Smiley

Registrations for the next competition aren't open yet (we'll post about it when we have a better idea of when it will open), and should be made in the registration thread (which you can access here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1248467).
1335  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition -sponsored by DirectBet- (Main Thread) on: February 03, 2016, 09:11:40 AM
Sorry, just want to know for the new competition, there will be a new post for it or carry on in here?

Hope can take part in the next competition Cheesy

Well, the following competitions will probably still make use of this thread, at least for participants to post their bets - registrations for, and discussions about, the competition will be made in the appropriate threads, which you can see in the OP.

In any case, as soon as we work things out with DirectBet, we will make posts in all three threads to inform everyone about when the next round will start, changes to the rules, prizes, and so on.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IV FREE Tipster Competition - win up to 1.9 BTC! (Discussion Thread) on: February 01, 2016, 12:33:38 AM
nice and congratz too all participants,
this another round i wanna to join this competition back again Tongue since i have alot free time..
when will another round date will open?

Well, first, we'll have to review how this round went, and consider changes to rules and prizes. After that's done, we'll have a better idea of how soon we can restart the competition.

In short, we'll let you all know as soon as we do. Smiley
1337  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: January 31, 2016, 11:51:58 PM
Aliens, as in extraterrestrials, are real. There has been proof of biological life on planets other than ours. We shouldn't also discount the fact that there's a huge number of galaxies, and a huge number of solar systems and planets in those galaxies, which could hone a huge number of races and species.

While I certainly agree with the latter part of your post (and indeed, went even further in some of my previous posts here), I wonder on what you're basing the former on; specifically, what proof is there of biological life on other planets? That's certainly not a widely accepted view (the idea that there probably is, yes, but not that it is proven in any way).
1338  Other / Politics & Society / Re: will you save your bicoin for future?? on: January 31, 2016, 10:49:26 PM
I am new to bitcoin world, and i have done survey about the past of bitcoin, and shocked to see how bitcoin grew its value. It was 0.01$ for 1 btc in 2010 and now it is 380$ and still increasing day by day...
And , Wall Street Analyst writes, "Bitcoin price could reach 98.5k $".
So will you save btc for future or not.. If yes, then for how many years??

I am planning on saving my coins, as much as possible, until the time I get most/all of my income in BTC, and have avenues to spend them on daily goods (which unfortunately, I don't have, around here) - how long would that be? I don't know, or care; I'll hold until then. However, I might stop (or eventually be forced to stop) doing so if I believe there is evidence of a major flaw with Bitcoin - I might have to jump ship to some (not copy-pasted) alt at that point. Cheesy
1339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Eurozone crosses Rubicon as Portugal's anti-euro Left banned from power on: January 31, 2016, 10:28:31 PM
Seems like it is possible to use objective criteria, quantifiable measures, to assess "good or bad" as far as dictators are concerned.

Note there are "benevolent dictators."  Singapore, I would think.

Alright; and, in other circumstances, maybe that would be a valid case to make1 - but it's kind of beside the point. The truth is, Portugal isn't a "guided democracy"2, and Anibal Cavaco Silva wasn't a dictator: he was elected; performed his duties (I won't say well, but at least) within the bounds of his office; and, considering his term is ending, the next president was recently elected3 (Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa) and will take his place in a little over a month.

1 - although, it wasn't that long ago that Portugal got rid of its dictatorship (1974), so any such arguments are not likely to find a lot of sympathy with the natives. Wink

2 - well, to the extent that most Western countries aren't, which is debatable, I admit, given the constraints of the European Union, and/or the overwhelming influences of countries like the United States and, to a lesser extent, Germany.

3 - in fact, I'm not sure if they have finished counting all the votes yet (although the outcome is clear): www.rtp.pt/noticias/eleicoes/presidenciais/2016.
1340  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: January 31, 2016, 10:00:38 PM
UFOs are real. But are they military or alien?

Neither; they're unknown objects - you can't go from that to "so the choices are, they are either military aircraft, or alien aircraft"1. Tongue
