Bitcoin hashrate hits an ATH, waayyy above its 2021 rate, and nobody in the community talks about it, MSM is quiet.

So typical. I guess only the price matters.

When moon, precious?

Canadian Govt takes full control of all broadcast media by passing bill C-11. This gives the government full access and control of all media, broadcasting and more. Effects all news outlets, YouTube and similar sites, and more.

https://www.parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/44-1/bill/C-11/first-reading

Not surprised.  Roll Eyes

Inb4 "BbUt TrUDeaU Is NOt a FaSCisT DiCTaToR, CaNAda Is STiLL a DeMOcRAcY !"

Maybe try reading it first yourself...
- It does not take control
- It does not apply to ALL media
- YouTube, social media and all internet undertakings are exempt

What it does do is guarantee every minority gets represented in broadcasting

Actually why don't you try some reading yourself before responding? There are HUGE govt loopholes in that bill...all by design, of course.

And a 'merit' already from Jimbo, gee what a shocker. His government can do absolutely no wrong in his eyes.  Roll Eyes

Elon goes for TWTR. Didn't see that one coming.

All I can say to Elon is "Good luck with that."

IIR Jack Dorsey was at one point the largest stakeholder, and even then he couldn't steer that company away from corruption.

Their entire business model now is "Selling user data" and "Mouthpiece and censor for the global WEF agenda". It is deeply and irrevocably entrenched.

Change the business model, and TWTR share price starts to plummet.

Quite difficult to relate to why any purported probitcoin person would be so adamant in burning bridges in these parts ... sure nothing wrong with calling names and even taking strong positions that might not be part of the party line...

Yeah, guys/gals here do not always respond to some issues or concerns that are expressed, and for example, I probably brought up one of my issues with setting sell orders above $100k on BinanceUS several times, and no one even attempted to address the issue... yet still, on a personal level, there are many times that I have batted around ideas and gotten more insight from such batting around of the ideas, and yeah, surely members here might consider me to be a bit combative and offensive from time to time, but some members are still able to deal with those kinds of tonal matters, call me a few names, and still end up addressing my questions... even if I might not necessarily agree with their answer, I have been able to go through some kinds of meaningful and substantive backs and forths that have allowed me to at least understand my position a bit better, and maybe to consider if I might want to reformulate some of my thoughts on the matter.

It seems to me that being too combative precludes a decent amount of substantive discussion, and members will largely not cooperate at all.  Anyhow, members can treat their credibility here however they wish.

You’re slightly missing the point Jay.
By the time  I’m done, this thread will have - hopefully - recovered its original glory. [was there ever? I don’t know tbh, but you get my point]
I don’t seek anybody's cooperation, compliance, merit or anything else for that matter. I couldn’t care less about the “credibility” of my account, much less if it ever becomes “legendary”.

I just want to call out the liars. About everything - to the best of my ability.
The liars that have politicised this thread, manipulating their way in one way or the other, whilst at the same time distorting “common sense”. [No Arrie, not you]
I would like to read everybody’s else opinion about anything. Off topic, on topic, just no shills please. I’ve just had it with all the bullshit.

That’s my mission. We owe it to Satoshi.

Along with those liars, we need to call out the "Agent Provocateur" accounts here on Bitcointalk and WO that are clearly govt shill/bot accounts, because they constantly spout out all the MSM bullshit agenda talking points no matter what the actual topic is. And yes, they distort common sense to the point of complete exhaustion...because it's their job, no doubt they get paid to do it. Btw, some of them were former pro-bitcoin, pro-Libertarian "good guys" accounts, whose owners obviously at some point sold their account to a fucking shill. You can go back and look at their complete post history and see the exact point when their narrative (and even their writing style) began to change for the worse.

This website got infiltrated by them long ago, but they stayed focused mainly on Bitcoin bear trolling or shitcoin bull shilling until just a few years ago. So it wasn't that big of a deal. But now? Now they go after and jump down the throats of anyone in any Bitcointalk thread, including in the WO, that isn't towing the MSM liberal bullshit agenda line on any particular topic. The very minute someone posts an informed and well-researched thought/opinion that doesn't tow the party line, they swarm all over it like flies to shit. It's fucking ridiculous.

I personally refuse to post here anymore about any topic outside of Bitcoin or the Fed/economy, no matter how innocuous it might seem to me. Don't want to deal with the bullshit anymore.

It's always good to know who the true puppet masters are....and it's definitely not our supposed national leaders.

They are also the puppets. They'll be given the cliffnotes of the softball questions in advance, and also the answers too. The MSM will make sure to ask only those questions.

Dance, monkey. Dance.

The f-bomb tirade was way out of line.  A jackass putting his anger management issues on display.
Albeit, Will is now gonna get that hummerjob he'd been begging for, for the past week....

Fake ass staged event for the dumb masses is fake af

That’s your opinion bro. I don’t think it was staged. That’s my opinion. I guess I must be a member
of the “dumb masses”

Yeah, I mean it makes total sense that as Chris Rock watches Will S. approach him on the stage, he grins a shit eating grin at him, puts his hands behind his back, and stands perfectly still...waiting for him. /s   Chris even leans his head in, as if to give Will S. a better target. Roll Eyes

Open your eyes, dude. It was all a staged publicity stunt. They planned that backstage. The Oscars are dying. Roll Eyes

Yeah...the world economy is doing sooo fkn well, that Apple is cutting back their new iPhone SE production by 20%.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/28/apple-reduce-production-budget-iphone-se-china.html

Their BUDGET model. By 20%.  Roll Eyes

And if they increased BUDGET model production by 20% you'd be screaming how bad the economy is, "people can't afford the more expensive phones anymore".

Dumb consumerism is dumb. Blowing money on disposable crap is not an indication of strong (or weak) economy, it's an indication of stupidity and vanity.

Uh...the fact that Apple even came out with a budget model iPhone is proof positive that "people can't afford the more expensive phones anymore".

And now even the budget models aren't selling, hence cutting production by 20%.

Pretty good indicator of a weak economy if you ask me.

I don't disagree with you on the blowing senseless money == stupidity and vanity part. Dumb consumer is indeed dumb.

Why so pessimistic on the price? I'm predicting $120K by year end and that's conservative

Because we're not going to see that kind of price until closer to next halving.

Lol OK

Must be nice to be right all the time

Or is it?

Saving your post so we can see whose prediction is closer to being right by EOY.

Of course I'd be happy to be wrong, as it just makes me wealthier even faster.

It's contagious. ...LFC.. and likely a few other purported longer term BTC bulls expressing similar sentiments regarding our likelihood for flat or down all the way through this calendar year, perhaps most of next calendar year too and into early 2024.. It's almost as BIG as a holy fuck (or is it sheeeeit) that we can be considering that king daddy is somehow constrained by calendar years and 4-year fractals and nonsense timing frameworks like that when the top for this cycle that we are currently in has been manipulated to fuck, and most likely delayed (postponed) rather than cancelled... but hey, think what you like.

You mean that I should be intently listening to the same clowns that were sooo like "Bitcoin is gonna be over $200K by Dec 2021!!!! Because PlanB said so!!! His data is irrefutable!!!" ?

That crowd?

No thanks JJG.

I know the kind of fuck ton of real fiat $$$ it would take to get from where we are current at, to > $100k STABLE PRICE. And I can tell you that, we're just not seeing it rn.

After March is over, Wall Street will be in the red since January to the tune of about negative 12-15%.

They will need to make that up and then some, to be back in the black by EOY 2022. They absolutely cannot afford to have a down year.

And believe it guys, they will get there.

Watch for the rest of the year as the stonk market (which logically should continue to crater along with the economy) mysteriously hits new high after new high, all the while Ukraine War rages on as well as continued absurd ongoing inflation, job losses, and economic meltdown. The stonk market should hit a new record ATH by December.

Bitcoin will be at least > $55-60K by year's end.

NFT collection failures begin to mount in flashback to ICO bust.

Quote
For every Bored Ape and CryptoPunk there is a Baby Baller, one of the thousands of NFT projects that have faltered not long after celebrated debuts.

On average, one in three NFT collections have essentially expired, with little or no trading activity, blockchain analytics firm Nansen found. Another third are trading below the amount it cost issuers to mint the tokens. Nansen analyzed about 8,40.

As failed projects pile up, long-time crypto observers are having flashbacks to the Initial Coin Offering bust of 2018, when thousands of digital token quickly become worthless after regulators warned they’re probably unregistered securities. Much like ICOs in their heyday, NFTs have become one of the hottest corners of the cryptocurrency world as speculators seek to take advantage of the surging

I don’t think anyone here is surprised! if you are then you need to get your head checked!

I had to explain what the NFT craze was to a client the other day, and I used the Hot Wife Example!… we were both on the floor laughing!

One thing history has taught us, there will always be another scam!

Yep...I've actually spent some time thinking about what the NEXT crypto scam will be. Because we all know it's coming. They'll need it for the next bull run. I'm sure they are cooking it up as we speak, and I'm also sure that it will be even more bonkers and ridiculous that either ICOs or NFTs.

I'm thinking something like:

NFTs that point to ownership of some physical space (that can't legally be "owned"). Like a small portion of someone else's beachfront property. Or a canyon view. Or a piece of real estate on the moon, or an asteroid. Or a cubic piece of the ocean. Or a piece of an African sahara. Or an Indian reservation. Or, of course, a piece of VR real estate (aka land ownership in the metaverse).

Whatever the NEXT crypto scam is, I'm sure it'll be even more nutso.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

We're nearing the end of March, so get ready for a bogus-ly positive sounding headline from the MSM.

Something something cease fire Ukraine/Russia negotiations blah blah blah. It will be bogus and tentative/ temporary, of course.

Stonks and bitcoin will jump 8-10% on the news, and then fall back a bit.

It will start the longer cycle of a slow, random walk upward in the markets til the end of the year, with lots of FUD flash crashes in between.

Prediction: Bitcoin at > $55k by Fall/Winter.

EDIT: You dummies predicting $100K by April need to quit sniffing glue. The Average Joe public has already forgotten all about Bitcoin and the crazy crypto shennanigans of 2021, just as the whales and the MSM intended. And it'll stay that way until the run up to the next halving. Use this downtime to accumulate even more btc.
