US inflation is at 5%. But it is temporary. Yes… Brrrrr Such bullshit numbers, such gaslighting. They talk 5% like it's the real number. But since 2020 you see lumber prices at 300%, houses +20%, propane 150%, gas at the pump +30%, food at the grocery +20-30%. If prices didn't change much, pay close attention to the packing. They likely "shrinkflated" it. I buy berries every grocery shop. A small carton of strawberries was $3.99 in 2019/2020. Now for the same size it's $5.99. Raspberries, blueberries, also nearly double. Is that "inflation just up 5%"? No it is fucking not! No even fucking close. All lies.

M. Saylor move...wow, but they are SENIOR notes and HIGH YIELD (aka "junk") at 6.125% interest. 6.125% interest on 500mil is 30.625 mil yearly interest. MSTR has only 81 mil EBITDA. Basically, it is an "all in" kind of move. Senior bondholders are in a pole position to get everything the company holds in a hypothetical case of a company going bankrupt...for example by not being able to service it's debts.
Next earnings report will be not good: "The Tysons Corner, Virginia-based company said in a filing Monday that it’s taking a roughly $284.5 million charge during its next earnings report due to losses related to fluctuations in the price of the digital asset. That amounts to more than the company’s cumulative earnings since 2011."
Hopefully, WS would treat it as one-off. This is potentially dangerous for the long term company survival, UNLESS he has some ace up his sleeve, and maybe he has, at least i hope so.
It worries me too. I think his ACE is simple "Number Go up". I hope for his sake as well as ours he's right. I imagine his balls touch the water when he sits... Pretty safe bet me thinks. Well let's just say, if the bitcoin price is not at least double where it sits today in 7 years, then yeah 'Houston we have a problem'.

Not all heroes wear cape: Square Considering Making Bitcoin Hardware WalletNot only Jack Dorsey is supporting Bitcoin Core Developers via Grants, but also is trying to help bitcoin from the inside, building from the inside to make the project better. Jack is an uncreative hack. "Hey guys, we want to recreate what Trezor and Ledger have already spent years building and doing an excellent job of, but somehow really bring nothing new to the table."-Jack Dorsey If he really believes in Bitcoin, he could show it best by doubling down and buying another $1B worth of bitcoin right now. Put money in mouth.

Elon musk, won’t be missed in the top 20 of richest people on the planet….
In retrospect …”regret will come later”
A headline from the future…
Elon got well compensated for his role in all this I'm sure. Having a mega personality well known with millennials and hipsters, buy bitcoin and then later turn on it, is going to be the new "China FUD" moving forward. Mark my words, it will happen again in a few years. The only question is who will they pick next.

OT: A few of the pleebs out there have taken the red pill, and are starting to figure it out. "I think I have figured out what is going on with treasuries and reverse repo. Why do banks want treasuries? It’s not that treasuries are valuable assets, but because they can leverage it by reusing it multiple times. They can’t leverage on cash, but they can leverage, perhaps 10:1 on treasuries. [Yes, treasury rehypothication!]
Combine this with FED's buying treasuries and the rates keep going down. But the lower rates are only a sign of huge leverage. What do banks do with the leverage? They gamble on stocks or give it away on margin or real estate loans to gamblers. Basically, we are sitting on a ticking time bomb.
So, treasuries are not pristine collateral as some claim, but toxic waste which allow more, and more, and more gambling. This also explains why banks want reverse repo; it’s not that they have too much cash to handle as they say; it is to borrow treasuries so that they can do more leverage. Once you realize this, you understand all the recent behavior of the banks."-Random pleeb on YT#BUYBTC

Notice how shitcoins cannot go up without Bitcoin going up. Shitcoin beliebers don't realize that all shitcoin indexes are tied to Bitcoin. It's the way the algo bots trade, and there are a bizillion of them. So shitcoins are going nowhere without Bitcoin pumping first. Sorry shitcoiners. Also sorry J.P. Morgan. Good luck trying to ice skate uphill.

At one point, my cousin mentioned that the government probably invented bitcoin.. He said that he believes that the USA government has a motive in order to have an ever-present backdoor that just sits there but then when I pointed out quite a few reasons why his assertion is likely not to be true, he asserted that he agrees that his idea is a long shot, but still one that he believes and it motivates him to be quite skeptical of bitcoin as an investment that will hold its value.
Is he an Idiot? This statement holds zero logic, if the Gov created it then they will not allow it to lose value and therefore not do what they want it to do so why does he think it will lose value. Those are diametrically opposed views, The guys a lost cause, don't waste your breath. considering how easy it is to "follow the money" with bitcoin (some honeypots mixers etc notwithstanding) i would think a government agency would LOVE to trial something like this and see what bites. sure NOW we know that chainanylitics can do pretty solid stuff de-obfuscating transactions (not always of course) but im sure a LOT of peeps got or will get some nasty visits from some polite government type folks with briefcases and search warrants and accompanied by some (generally not as polite) LEO backup who thought they could hide from anything incriminating left on on the blockchain (because hey pseudo anonymous!) and get away scott free. although personally i think it went down as we mostly know; satoshi pulled together some existing tech, added a pile of brainpower and vision and combined it all into bitcoin. The biggest argument (proof?) against the Govt creating Bitcoin: The Govt has never, and will never, create anything new, especially anything that would actually benefit humankind. Because they are literally a bunch of men and women children who are nothing more than reactionary idiots.

Bank of Japan governor slams Bitcoin, calls BTC a speculative asset The real question is: why do they feel the need to even mention Bitcoin? Baseball cards are a speculative asset, but you don't see any banker mentioning them. The fact that they feel the need to tell me Bitcoin is bad, makes me feel the exact opposite. Funny how after a decade of this behavior along with all the MSM bashing, the Average Joes still haven't figured this out.

https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/leaked-chinese-document-reveals-a-sinister-plan-to-unleash-coronaviruses/news-story/53674e8108ad5a655e07e990daa85465A document written by Chinese scientists and Chinese public health officials in 2015 discussed the weaponisation of SARS coronavirus, reveals the Weekend Australian.
Titled The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons, the paper predicted that World War Three would be fought with biological weapons.
Released five years before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it describes SARS coronaviruses as a “new era of genetic weapons” that can be “artificially manipulated into an emerging human disease virus, then weaponised and unleashed in a way never seen before”. All the unnatural coronaviruses humans have been contracting since 2000 are results of genetic engineering as I contended at the outset of this pandemic. Only 2-3 natural coronaviruses have established true human transmissibilty in over 1 million years of human-viral co-evolution and now since genetic enginerring was developed we have seen 4 new human-transmissible coronaviruses in less than 30 years. The virologists are now more dangerous to humanity than any group on the planet. They possibly represent the great filter for our species. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/05/26/politics/biden-intelligence-community-pandemic-origins-report/index.htmlThe truth will come out this year. Expecting the WHO to give a very thorough and accurate report on 'the truth'. The NWO government is the Arsonist, the Firefighter, and the Investigator. ...as the Arsonist: "Let's leak Covid-19 from a renown gene virology lab in China, and claim it was from bat soup at a wet market across the street." ...as the Firefighter: "Lock everything down! Shut down the world's economies! Get that damn vaccine going asap!" ...as the Investigator (18 months later): "Hey ya' know, we really really really should get to the bottom of where that virus originated...I mean, right? Shouldn't we?"

He is a very smart dude with lots of insight. It's just his "big bad maxi" narrative that is annoying. He may not realize that the whole "Ethereum is actually more amazing than Bitcoin" argument is fairly worn out for people who have been paying ACTIVE attention for longer than him. He actually goes WAY back in having interest in "crypto" but only came out guns blazing this halving epoch. Overall I like Raoul Pal, his insight and judgement of Bitcoin is sound. Well at least as long as he doesn't pull a Nassim Taleb and turn on it/us, or favor other shitcoins over it. Although I will say that he has not done enough DD on Ethereum to realize that the future promises it makes are both unachievable and untenable. Complete vaporware scamcoin. But he is spot on here, and the contrast he is pointing out is still not really being heard over the ROAR of "ZOMG BITCOIN VOLITILE CANNOT BE SOV" screaming noise.
But we are getting closer.
People when 100X over-leverage is raging: "Bitcoin is too unstable to be a SOV." People when 100X over-leverage has vanished: "Bitcoin is boring." or "Bitcoin is dead."

Some unsolicited sage observations and advice from someone who has been through these BTC ups and downs many times:
1) China is the culprit that allows the whales with massive over-leverage to run during the bull stage. They don't say shit when the price is going up (of course not), but pull the rug with FUD when they are ready to short. It's all part of their game. They have done it before during prior bull runs, and they will most certainly do it again in the future. Controlling the majority of mining is also part of their game, so they are not going to "crackdown" on mining. That's completely BS.
2) If Bitcoin cannot hold a certain price for very long, then it was massively over-leveraged by whales and was not meant to be. Pay attention not to where it flies high, but where it lands and where it scrapes the bottom. It's current true SOV price is somewhere along that line.
3) Bitcoin's fundamentals and purpose never change from what they are, no matter the price.
4) Take comfort in knowing that new ATHs tell you where the price is going and will "be" someday, not where it will be now. Notice how old ATHs are eventually left completely in the dust. This new one will be no different than the others. Have extreme patience.
5) Your btc accumulation/holding strategy should be just like the goldbugs. If you are not DCA'ing in and holding through at least 2-3 halving cycles (if not forever), then you are doing it wrong. Short term thinking is mental weakness. If you can't handle it long term, get out now before anxiety overtakes you and you pull a MR.
