641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the absance of Bitcoin affect the crypto Industry? on: December 11, 2023, 12:04:41 AM
Well you just have to look at where this guy is coming from, yes he is well known in crypto community and I will say well respected. But most of the time if they say something bad about BTC it's because they have the reason. And in this case, obviously he want's his Cardano to be in the top of the market.

And I will say that his argument is flawed though, in the beginning there are also lots of coin that challenge Bitcoin and wanted to become the go to crypto.

Are still people forgetting about the so called Flippening?, where there was a school of thought that Ethereum will take over the crypto market. And guess what happen, Bitcoin still remain on top which means Bitcoin will be and going to be the go to crypto no matter what happens in the future.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 10, 2023, 10:42:40 AM
This is due to the misbehavior of parents who are not good at raising and educating their children. Excessive pampering of wealthy children and the ease with which they obtain everything with complete ease will make them ineligible to bear responsibility themselves and will lead to their bankruptcy after the departure of their wealthy parents.
So the blame is primarily on these rich parents.

I don't know if we can blame the parents though, I mean as I parent most of the time we showered our kids with luxury life maybe because we don't know them to suffer what we have gone through in our childhood. And so we we acquire money along the way and we wanted our kids to have bright future and then we pamper them with money.

So it's really hard to balance everything as a parent to the point that we might be going over board and it's kinda late that our children just look at life so easy without thinking of themselves and what could be the future for them without their parents money. Again, everything should be balance so that we can teach our kids a good lessons in life.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 10, 2023, 10:20:42 AM
I think that quote could be applied to anything like confession to your loved ones, there would be a reward if you risk it which is a win-win, if they turned you down at least you learned from your mistake, and if they accepted you then that's good. This can also be applied to investment because if you don't leave your comfort zone to take a risk, you will regret it and won't be learning anything from the experience. Note that taking a risk should be done with knowledge and decided wisely cause if you risk impulsively lacking information and data, for sure it's just like you are throwing money straight out to the trash, there's a case that you can be lucky with investing with no knowledge but always remember that luck won't be always by your side that is why doing your own research before risking is a must.

Yeah, everything in life involved risk, but if we are talking about investments, then it magnified 10 folds. Because first, we don't have totally control of everything, and we don't know what the future holds. Second, we risk our hard earn money, so in case our investments didn't turn out well, then we might have to go back to zero again and restart all over and hopefully we can't make the same mistakes as the last time.

But then if we look at the bright side, there are a lot of opportunities and we don't want to missed them. That's why in life we learn how to take risk and see how it will go. If there is a reward then good for us. Specially in the world that we move in, crypto like Bitcoin. Like last year, lowest low, and if we are afraid and not take that big risk and bought when the price is $15,500, then we won't experience a 100%++ growth in our investment today.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 10, 2023, 09:14:09 AM

So if Bivol gets Canelo's 2nd fight with PBC I wonder if Benavidez will ever get his shot at the real title. If Canelo somehow beats Bivol in the rematch, I expect him to take Crawford as his last fight of the contract and go back to Matchroom.

I think it's only fair that there should be a trilogy for their fight. Bivol could have declined a rematch with Canelo after beating him, but he agreed to it. Therefore, if Canelo is a true warrior, he should give Bivol a chance to determine the better fighter between them. This can only be settled through another rematch.

They both playing the mind games I guess, Bivol wanted a rematch but Canelo chooses John Ryder and let Bivol look for a dance partner with less money on the line. So Canelo paly his part very good in this games, now after beating Charlo and moving out of the Matchroom contract, Bivol is left hanging. And then we heard that if there will be a rematch, it will be in terms of Canelo again which including Bivol going down to 168 lbs and with rehydration clause.

As far as Benavidez goes, yeah, me might not get his title shot against Canelo as Alvarez is now looking for the biggest paycheck that he can get before retiring. So Benavidez could chase Morell or even Bivol or Beterbiev.

The big paychecks for Canelo would be Bivol on light heavyweight or Benavidez. These others that you have mentioned will not cause much excitement from the fans, I reckon.

However, the biggest might be for Canelo to accept Bivol's challenge and fight him in super middleweight where Canelo will risk all of his championship belts!

I think Canelo is still the cash cow no matter how we look at it, either a DB fight or Bivol it will still make a lot of money. But it's just the question on why he would do Bivol at 168 lbs and then when rehydration clause? Doesn't make sense as he is the champion in that division unless he wanted to have that big advantage against Bivol. We might call it just to make it an even field for him.

But if he wanted to be really cemented his legacy, for me a rematch at 175 lbs will be the way for him. Not unless if he longer wanted more belt or if he thinks that he can't really beat Bivol at light heavyweight that's why he wanted the rematch as his best, 168 lbs wherein he is the undisputed.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 10, 2023, 07:55:28 AM
@bbc.reporter, you are right, should have been 1.01 ML odds for Haney. Prograis was so overwhelmed by the good footwork of Haney in the early rounds that he could not figure out how to cut the gap between them as Haney also got the power in his new division. But one thing ordinary fans couldn't appreciate is that he lacks the killer's instinct. He could easily knockout Prograis as the latter's legs were no longer there.

So what's next for Haney now, Shakur or Ryan Garcia?

Tank Davis would be the best option for Haney, Tank should move up in 140 lbs and then fight Haney for the belt. Davis has been protected by his handlers for many years and it's about time for him to really step up the plate and fight a champion.

Shakur is a full fledge 135 lbs, and I don't see that Haney going back down to that weight class anymore. He has vacated all his belt and I think he will campaign at 140 lbs moving forward. So money fight at 140 lbs for Haney is Tank Davis.
646  Economy / Reputation / Re: BlackHatCoiner decided to take a leave from bitcointalk on: December 10, 2023, 07:01:57 AM
From what he says, it's due to personal reasons. So let's leave it like that, of course we will missed such great person who has contributed a lot in the community. But I guess everyone has some important things to do in their lives right now that they prioritized it over our great community.

At least though he gave us the goodbye so that no one will speculate as to the sudden disappearance of this Legendary account.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Investors Confidence in Bitcoin💪 on: December 09, 2023, 11:55:22 AM
Well the confidence of bitcoin investor is top notch  Grin because bitcoin gives surety to the bitcoin lovers and the investors. We all are aware with the price trendency of bitcoin and the market analysis gives us confidence to invest without thinking extra. Because it's give proves a lot if time. That proves gives high level confidence to the investor of bitcoin. The confidence come from the price analysis of the bitcoin.

Being the prime mover and then showing how good the price will be in the future, making huge profits, it's easy to say that investors are going to be happy with it and so their confidence is very high. I mean in the last 5 years, the growth of bitcoin is tremendous.

And we hear stories that there are investors who become so rich because they have stash a lot and then sell at the right time. With that, some of us trying to replicate that. The formula is very easy, buy low, during the bear market, and be a long term holder and then sell during the bull run to maximize your profit and then rinse and repeat that formula.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best game provider? on: December 09, 2023, 10:25:44 AM
@OP why not just create an announcement thread about the gambling platform you are talking about?  Members will not get serious with you if you keep on click-baiting anyone here.  Many members frown on this kind of tactic so I suggest that you announce the platform formally in this forum by creating an announcement thread in this board.

Stating the best game provider is subjective.  We all have different experiences on different providers.  One can experience that a  certain kind of slots provider sucks while others will think of the same provider as the best.
He is not here to create ANN Thread mate because look at His post History , from his 1 month
age here in forum all his posts are just 3 that sending all with a Link believing that this account is a shill account
for any sites that he might be posting and already posted.and also he seems to be luring players from all of His
links provided here in forum .
and we will expect more and more link sharing from this account in the coming days.

Or maybe there will be a lot of accounts to come to shill for this casino, who knows. But it's obvious that the OP doesn't have the experience here, just creating an account and he is gone after shilling for this so called best game provider or what casino he is trying to promote here.

And being a experienced gambler, no we won't try this casinos, we will still maintain that this has no reputation yet and for us there are platforms that we have trusted for many years here, old and some new casinos that has been in the last couple of years but has established their names already.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's role in financial development on: December 09, 2023, 09:40:03 AM
My father is an expatriate. He made us human by working hard. Now I am grown up but unemployed. As the night deepens, a thought crosses my mind every day. How my father is still working alone for us. How much heavy work he has to do regularly, he has to do his own cooking, wash his own clothes and clean himself. Our family consists of me and one sister. My father had to take a lot of debt to go abroad. For which we are burdened with debt. Now I work along with my studies to run the family. I want to save money and invest in Bitcoin in the future even though I have worked hard because of the idea about Bitcoin. So that I can benefit from here, so that I can help my family financially and put a smile on my parents' faces. Sadly, we don't even have a house of our own at present.

Well then study hard and go chase your dreams. Yes, some of us specially in third world countries, one father or even our mother chooses to go out and work on our countries so that they can give us a bright future. So if you really wanted to reciprocate and give back for the hardwork that our father is doing abroad, then I will ask you to just go and learn and study and maybe by the time that you have graduated you might find a good job and your father going back home because it's now your time to give back to your families.

So that will be your first goal, and when you got a study job then that is the time that you can invest on bitcoin, maybe thru DCA or any method that you are comfortable and be just like the rest of us here, long term HODLer.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 09, 2023, 07:17:37 AM
@Inwestour. Tyson Fury would have certainly knocked out Francis Ngannou if he trained properly. A world heavyweight boxing champion almost lost vs. a mixed martial artist in boxing? 1 week training might be an exaggeration, however after his performance, yes I am quite certain Tyson Fury did not have much training.

We can assumed that perhaps Fury could knockout Francis Ngannou if he trained hard. But I guess majority feels that he didn't take his training seriously and now he has to pay for it. I mean it didn't derail his fight against Usyk, but obviously he has take damage in his eye and needed more time to heal.

And this could be a wake up call for him, and Usyk could see this as somewhat a weakness on the side of Fury. Although still size does matter in boxing and Tyson has the advantage but there could be factors that could favor Usyk like being a south paw and the quicker fighter between the two.

This isn't a fight that will be dominated by one fighter based on opinions here, so this makes it very interesting to watch as there are plenty of believers that Usyk will win despite bookies made Fury as the favorite.

Both have their strenght and weakness but we will find out who is the best fighter after the fight only, so just continue the speculation as the more this fight gets hype, the more it will gain the attention of the people resulting to better viewership and of course decent money that both deserves to earn. But as for me, I'm not gonna change my choice as it will remain on Fury.

The odds may not be as discouraging to bet for Usyk. Fury may be the crowd's fave but I think the spread is gonna be close.

Yes, odds of Usyk are more appealing as he is the underdog and we know that we love to see a live underdog pull one from Fury and become the undisputed HW champion. So that is a low risk big reward for us to go and bet on Usyk.

IMO Ngannou would have won the fight given more rounds in the fight. He lasted 10, I think he can do 12 and probably KO Fury again. If they are to fight again, Ngannou will be more motivated but less chance of them getting inside the ring. More money is needed for it to happen.

I think we already have gone a lot on the Francis Ngannou debate. Majority thinks that Fury underestimate him and most probably he would have lost if Fury doesn't have that mentality to survived or use his boxing IQ ot barely win every close round.

But against Usyk, a slight miscalculation on his end might end up bad for Fury, IMHO.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 09, 2023, 05:05:24 AM
Have read that there is a rumor that has it, Canelo will be fighting Bivol in a rematch this May and it will be held in the 168-pound division. But the catch here is neither boxer would reach the 178 lbs come fight night, for me this is the same as the rehydration clause that Team Canelo is master of doing on their opponents.

What's your though on this guys, do Bivol would take the bait?

When was this rumor surfaces though? Because I remember Canelo interview before the John Ryder fight is that his goal is to fight Bivol or to rematch him at 175 lbs. So I guess that decision has change already if this latest rumor is true.

It's really up to Bivol to take the bait or not. I thought Bivol will have a fight this coming December.

Maybe this is just a get busy fight for him until he gets into Canelo or even Beterbiev. But if Canelo is chasing greatness then it should be at Light-HW because that is where they first fought. If it is 168 lbs then that is obviously Canelo's territory.

Canelo will not win if it fight is on the 175 pound division, at least for and most of the users here that is why they are giving this bait to Bivol as the latter also has an ambition to be a unified champion either at 175 or 168 so probably he would take this fight.

If Bivol wins this at 168 then he got his dream but if Canelo dismantle Bivol at 168 with that rehydration clause, most of won't mind him winning the fight as this is not what a true warrior in the ring wants.

It's really a bait from Canelo here, or you can call it a bluff, just like in poker. Canelo knows that he has the strong hands here, fighting at his division, and then with that rehydration clause to make sure the Bivol won't go at high as a cruiserweight because Canelo will have a problem with a bigger but faster opponent like Bivol.

On the other hand, Bivol is looking on his version of legacy, wanted to beat Canelo as his strongest weight take all that belt. So for me, Bivol will take this bait easy, without any concern whatsoever at 168 lbs and he believed he can make it.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Aspect of Sports Betting or Casino Gambling Posed a Challenge for You? on: December 08, 2023, 09:20:59 PM
What aspect of sports betting or casino gambling posed an initial challenge for you when you first started, but which you eventually grasped? How did you finally understand it. Did a friend explain it, did you watch a YouTube video, participate in a sports betting community on social media, or did you figure it out through a trial-and-error approach?

When I started sports betting, I only knew to bet on the ML. I'm not that familiar with the handicap bets or any bet builder that time. So yeah, it took sometime to understand it. My approach though is to really bet on them handicap line +/- and see how my bet is and how I'm going to win.

Never watch any video or join any sports betting community. I was want to discover it myself even if it means losing a couple of dollars here and there. At least getting the first hand experience will teach you a valuable lesson in sports betting.

As for luck base games like slots, it's not that hard and complicated in the beginning and everyone can grasp it easily.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for newbies on: December 08, 2023, 06:26:04 AM
Hello everyone, as you can see I'm new here, I'm looking for recommendations for a game to bet some money that I don't mind losing, I would like recommendations and if possible a recommendation for somewhere that teaches how to play. Thank you very much. Grin

I'm not really sure if we can recommend games, I mean it's very easy to understand games like dice, slot machines, roulette games. You just have to bet on it, on the case of single number bet on roulette, obviously it's one number for 0 to 36.

But just be careful though in gambling, you might experience what we call beginners luck and if by chance you win big, you might be suckered to play even more, longer that you though. And if that happens then, the house edge might caught up on you.

In any case, goodluck to your journey.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: December 06, 2023, 11:23:16 PM
And just like the rest of us here commenting on the shoulder roll of Ryan, this is what Devin Haney has to say,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZTl0eqT4yJY

The title though is a bit misleading, he didn't clown Ryan Garcia, he just shares his opinion with that stance of Garcia and again, majority of us see it as horrible and it seems that Ryan is learning that defense though.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 06, 2023, 09:04:31 AM
@Maslate. However, what many fans might have not known is Tyson Fury did not train very hard for Ngannou which implies that Fury might have underestimated him. We can be quite certain that Fury will not be underestimating Usyk. There is also a championship at risk. This will be a different fight, a more important fight for Tyson Fury and his legacy.

Tyson Fury odds on 1.61 is very good, I reckon.

Yes, and that's what boxing fans speculate, he really underestimate Francis Ngannou that time, and just trying to justify that he almost lost to the guy and say that Francis is a hard fight for him as compare to Usyk. But we all know that is not the case, Usyk has movement and a champion, so how can Fury says that he will be an easy opponent for him? He is just trying to downplay Usyk and then stroke his ego that he can beat him. And I do agree that backers of Fury will have a field day with that kind of odds although the fight is still very far and there could be swings in the odds.

Looks like the promotional video was for real, Fury was just trying to gain weight through eating while Ngannou was training hard to surprise the world. Well, he indeed surprise the world as we weren't expecting he'll win, but it's "Almost", that put Ngannou being a champ like while Fury downgraded to being a rookie like.

Most likely it was the case here, and to think that Fury is talking about his future fight with Usyk in Saudi, it make us think that he is overlooking Francis Ngannou. And while they make and try to promote it very hard, even his dad has somethings to say about Mike Tyson supposedly.

But at the end of the day, he did get the W, barely and the judges favor here because it's either they don't want to derail the fight with him and Usyk (supposedly December but was push to February because Fury need more rest to heal from the damage he has taken from the Ngannou fight.)
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People losing their Bitcoin is not a risk to Bitcoin: on: December 06, 2023, 07:30:59 AM
So I read a thread by a new member who was asking if the information that is being shared here is just theoretical to gaining relevance in the platform or is something that is actually being practiced in real life situation and the first thing that came to my mind is the numerous post about securing ones Bitcoin holding and the fact that some persons might be taking it for granted.

The truth is that people actually loose access to their private keys and will loose their bitcoin In the process and a lost bitcoin isn't even a disadvantage to the network but actually increase the value of bitcoin in circulation and so if you take all the security measures being shared in the platform for granted, you're putting yourself at a serious disadvantage because if you loose your bitcoin due to your carelessness, it's your loss and not that of bitcoin and I doubt their is a means you can use in recovering a lost Bitcoin without your private keys.

There are a lot of ways to lost your Bitcoin, specially during the early years, and who wouldn't forget this story? Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up.

And so there are a lot of ways that has been shared here in the community on how to protect your private key and mnemonic phrase.

657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 05, 2023, 11:47:24 PM
I saw that leaked video, and yes, it looks like Haney but it's not, and they say it's Elijah Pierce. And this could be a old video as the supposedly dance partner is super bantamweight so there is a big difference as far as weight class goes or if really Pierce.

https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/768225

So I wouldn't put too much emphasize on that video, it just hype more on Davis power though instead of a good promotion for Devin Haney.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution on: December 05, 2023, 10:13:12 PM
It's never proven that jotting down a New Year's resolution is very effective, and maybe others see this as just a waste of time. Or you don't know to write, as long as you have that in mind throughout the year you will be good.

And definitely, gambling should not be a constrain to anyone, we've seen people losing big money and then some winning big with huge parlay and lottery. So as long as you are gambling responsibly, you will be fine without writing it as a practice that we have known for.
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warming warning of the BTC, ETH & the LTC Cryptos upcoming halving on: December 05, 2023, 09:31:43 PM
There is absolutely no recovery of lost instead another chance is given to attain either similar heights.
Majority of Bitcoin investors has solemnly blamed itself for ignoring Bitcoin in the first place, a lot has blamed itself for accumulating Bitcoin before the bull-runs and yet fails to keep eyes up to the balls at when kicks to rolling.

Then that is not a Bitcoin investor in the first place, because if you are a truly Bitcoiner, you will know that the right time to accumulate it is during bear market cycle, i.e last year when we have it's lowest low at $15,500.

Let's keep eyes up and take advantageous chances by accumulating, hodling over the halving of the expected cryptos on a warming warning  because the running flexible to the ETH to approval.
Certain crytos expected on the next expectant halving are >>>
* The BTC-USD
* ETH-USD
* LTC-USD

As others have said, LTC has it's halving already, and if you look at the price, there's no movement at all as it is Bitcoin's small brother. And if I'm not mistaken, even in the last bull run, it didn't crossed new all time high?

Not sure about ETH, I don't hold bags of it.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 05, 2023, 09:11:11 PM
Former Heavyweight Champion, Deontay Wilder recently shared his thoughts on this fight -

https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/news/boxing/tyson-fury-vs-oleksandr-usyk-deontay-wilder-makes-fight-prediction/a85k15wb80rp1odd2jhlbkkp7

“It's a 50-50 fight, anything can happen. People look at Fury's size as a major advantage but that doesn't necessarily mean nothing because Usyk can stay low to the ground and because Fury's so tall it's going to be difficult to reach down”

Of course, it's 50-50 fight, anything can happen, but the odds maker think otherwise, current odds, ML Fury at 1.61, Usyk 2.22. And it's obvious that Fury will take that into consideration when training, he will look for sparring partner that is similar height with Usyk so he can gauge the distance.

“If Usyk can get in and out real fast, I feel speed could be a major factor. For me it's 50-50 and I'm glad it's finally happening so we get all the belts in one place”

I think the speed factor goes to Usyk, but Fury as well has some good movement, so it's not like a stationary target for Usyk here. He will really needs to really fast to caught Tyson flush. Yes, definitely we will see a undisputed champion in the HW division, it's hard to do it in this division and so if ever Wilder will get his chance to fight the winner, then it will be for all the belts, so it really favors him.
