641  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cashlowinvest.org on: January 11, 2024, 01:08:07 PM
Yeah, like everyone else is saying that the domain is nowhere to be found. I guess OP that the website itself has been shutdown by its owner/s and was able to successfully scam people already. Based on the domain name, I wouldn't even put any amount of trust from it.
LOL, what? cashlowinvest for what? the name itself is already dubious as most of the legit investing companies have a special name to their domains and not just like this cashlowcowinvest or whatsoever.
642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin acceleration services - Fee comparison on: January 11, 2024, 11:09:56 AM
I have experienced using Binance acceleration with one of my transaction that has stucked for a long time, I have to do it since I just wanna try it out and it charged me like $20 for the acceleration. The website is directing people to their telegram contact and that's how I contacted them and gave my TXID and it has estimated how much I need.

For real? It's not fully automated?
Before it wasn't like that image that you've posted when you just have to paste the TXID and it will calculate the fee. I didn't see that process several months ago so maybe it was already updated or I just can't vividly remember if it was there.

But this was the process that I was able to encounter when I've used them, it was manual. I've messaged on that telegram account based on the instruction they have for mining/acceleration and they were the one to estimate how much I'll pay as they replied back.

Step 4: Users who are agreeable to paying the estimated cost can then proceed to speed up the confirmation of the transaction at the Bitcoin network by reaching out to their respective Binance Pool Business Development managers if they are a VIP 1-9 user, or contacting the Binance Pool team via Telegram (@BinancePoolAccelerator) if they are a regular user.

I can't find the message or the conversation that we've got on Telegram, maybe they have deleted or cleared the history already. There are the other steps from step 1-4, my memory isn't so good nowadays but prolly I just shortcut and jumped to step 4 but it did worked.

I just obliged since I've been waiting for that transaction to get confirmed for a very long time, you won't believe it because I made a mistake for broadcasting it until it didn't hit the fee that I've set. I'm not sure if I'll use them but did helped me though.
644  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: got scammed by Desmondcz on: January 10, 2024, 09:11:50 PM
ohh whatever, it's only $22
Yeah, it was just a $22 but these guys will keep on existing and might just abandon that account and create a new one. Just buy directly these servers to the actual website of these cloud services and make your own account there for which I know that's what you'll just do after this. I understand that you're in a hurry and these scammers when they see that their victim are on that state, they're taking advantage of you guys. I hope that there won't be anymore victims on this type of digital sales.

It's just $22 but it will motivate the scammer to scam more, and be innovative because he proved that there are people who are so careless and do not do research before they buy or trade, for every individual these scammers scammed that will greatly motivate them to improve because there's money to be made in scamming people.
As long as there is money to scam, they won't stop. We even saw people going to sell their souls for a buck and that's why it doesn't matter how much it is. For the victim's side, it doesn't matter a lot but the reaction of the scammer is true you've said, he's going to be motivated more and will keep going on because there are victims willing to get scammed for that amount.

People should be grateful that we have this section to expose scammers and that we have the community to expose and help those who got scammed all the threads here if newbies will take the time to read will give them an insight into how scammers do their scamming.
Yes and it's been helpful not just for the newbies but to everyone.
645  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More reason you should protect your privacy and anonymity as a Bitcoin holder. on: January 10, 2024, 07:25:12 PM
We become talkative in real life when we meet someone who's in the same interest as us. But take it as something that you are interested about but don't reveal that you're already into it. Always talk as if you're a newbie in real life so that you'll get to know on who's actually in and who are just trying to know people that are in. I know for a fact that there are people that just distinguishing people who are into the scene so that they will have an idea who are the people that they can attack just in case they have ill intentions to us. Ensure that yourself is always on the safer side and don't get overwhelmed when the talk is all about profits that you've made.
646  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 09, 2024, 11:04:54 PM
Who is crazy enough to play Plinko with $380 per ball!? On high-risk with 16 rows? Pure madness! Smiley
Wow, I can't do that much risk on a 16 row and that's why whenever I play plinko, it's just with small amounts but I like the risk taking confidence of that winner. Congratulations. $387 per bet, that's a lot and this guy has got balls and probably just did it like having a YOLO mentality. Anyway, a win is a win and this is a lot and he deserve that. If I'll manage that money, I can now stop working within this year and next year and just focus on increasing that through portfolio since the halving is just around the corner.
647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie, be careful of the Bitcoin information you process on: January 09, 2024, 09:53:43 PM
Information are all over the internet and things can be answered easily if you search the right keyword. And as someone who researches, make sure that you have to verify all of the details that you're gathering. As a newbie as well, you need to check too, you're not just there to receive information but you all can verify every details that are fed to you. Not just because someone you know tell you so, you won't check it. That's wrong, you can always check it on your own.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 09, 2024, 11:47:14 AM
It's really scary, that's why I don't really open my activity about bitcoin to strangers, I personally only share about bitcoin (promoting) to people which are already know before. We must always be careful of our assets, especially if we live in a quiet place.
We just don't talk to strangers because you'll never know the intentions that they have and that might be the scary part of it when someone approaches you and that person caught you off guard. Don't be overwhelmed when a person asks you things that are important and you always need to be alert with it.

In my environment, Bitcoin no longer needs to be promoted, most people know what Bitcoin is. But on the other side, there are still many who are not interested yet in investing, maybe the price is too high or they don't have enough funds to own bitcoin.
The same for me but before, it was really different and how I was like talking to anyone that shows interest to Bitcoin but after realizing that I need to take care of myself as well and need to be observant at all times.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 09, 2024, 09:53:30 AM
Definitely a scary thought but to me, I feel like it's a matter of being vigilant, if you're promoting cryptocurrency then you should be more aware of your surroundings and that you're making the right decisions and careful about the people that you're talking to because that's how some people get caught with what they're doing, being a voice for bitcoin adoption comes with a risk and I dare to say that I'm alright with the risks involved because I know there's more to this with me talking about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general than being scared to death about what might happen to me.
To each their own as they say, for me, I just want to protect myself and my future but if someone asks me questions about Bitcoin I'll definitely respond because that's the type of conversation that I want to have. But of course, there will be grounds and it will also depend to the person that I'm talking to. We just have to be careful as well and we, as someone who's into this market, we can also be picky on whom we're going to talk especially if the person that approaches us and want to start a conversation about Bitcoin is kind of suspicious.
650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term corrections could be detrimental. on: January 09, 2024, 07:47:05 AM
How I wish that I'll be a millionaire but there are lots of it here in the forum that have been holding two digits of Bitcoin and that's more than enough for their retirement but still will patiently wait until the end of the bull run.

smart people dont 100% cash out everything to then live on/spend it all
they instead just cash out portions of the gains to live on

never cash out everything. do everything in small allotments/percentages

like traditional finance, dont spend the capital, live off the interest/dividend
only take out (not all) but bigger portions if significant ATH to then buy more at discount n a correction

these 5% tides are nothing compared to the 300% tides of true ATH/corrections (mid 2021-dec2022)

dont get emotional over 5% waves, dont go full 100% trade on these small waves
I agree, while the thought of having a retirement fund is there but for sure that most of the holders that have got a lot won't just cash out everything. The flow continues of how it all started and there will surely be some Bitcoins left on their stash that's still going to continue as their holdings. That is one mistake that I've done when I was starting, I've sold most of my holdings but good thing that I was able to recover and still bought some along the way before all of these crazy prices have come up.
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term corrections could be detrimental. on: January 08, 2024, 07:08:00 PM
The talk of ETF approval is what's on board for now and because of this, many investors and holders are scared, thus, taking their profit before the market crashes.
I don't understand why they need to be scared of what? They've been holders and investors of Bitcoin for quite a while so, they know the timeline and what actually is happening. And if they're eager to take profits before a crash happens, no one knows when a crash will happen but we've got some clue and it's not yet this time. We're not even on a bull run yet or have maximized it.

Also, more money is being invested in BTC because of the assurance investors have of the ETF project being approved and as such there's every likelihood that Bitcoin will pump harder than before.
And that's happening now.  Cool

Although am quite certain about the bullish market season of 2024, just after the halving expected to happen, it is to note that altcoins and shitcoins have been dumping hard recently and every one investing in them should be careful not to make serious losses.
Let them invest where they want to invest, if you're solely focused investing on Bitcoin or you've got a larger portion of your stash on it. All you have to think of is your own portfolio and can even wait until 2025 which is like the pattern of the cycle.

I am very certain about the bullish market season after the halving, and as such my advice to any true crypto/BTC investor who may become millionaires in the next 12-18 months, would be to hold tight and not let any short term corrections stop them or put them out of the market until the duration of their holdings is complete.

What are your thoughts?

652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 08, 2024, 04:59:44 PM
As much as I want to promote Bitcoin on social media with my friends, I take care of myself because of the cases about $5 wrench attacks. It's okay to promote it to your actual friends but sometimes, you need to put boundary on whom you're going to tell it because you don't know some of the friends on your social media have been tracking your move and might go against you and will come by to take your Bitcoin. Take it for these examples:

That's why its important to consider the welfare of people which we want to teach since by having that they might prone to any risk its because bitcoin is hot money for criminals and they might be an easy target for them especially if they are not properly guided well after they learn about bitcoin or crypto. At my place its really complicated since I think I am the only one know about it since I never heard bitcoin discussed here so I choose to be silent since I don't want to create any noise that I have bitcoin. Also not planning to introduce this to them since I don't know what will be their take about it and also don't want to create some negative impression from them knowing unknowledgeable people always be so skeptical on new information's they have heard.
There are times that we're proud to be holding it for so long but you'll have that realization when you've seen news like those that I've linked. It's just best to be silent and choose the people you'll talk too about Bitcoin but if it's with finances, maybe some little bit of casual talk that one may mention Bitcoin about it. While it's true that people that have lack idea about what Bitcoin is, mostly are negative and skeptic on it.

It's all evolving, I mean in the beginning , nobody wants bitcoin and I think everything started in 2017 when we have a bullish run up to almost $20k and everyone though, hmm, we can make money out of it.

And so criminals whether online or offline has a field day hunting those bitcoin enthusiast, rob them or their hard earn Bitcoin. That's why it's no longer to talk about Bitcoin in public to non-coiners as someone might be eaves dropping and then will follow you at home and uses that $5 wrench attack as we are now in their radar.
And if we're going to analyze it, before it was the non Bitcoiners think that Bitcoin is just for the criminals. Going on to the present time, we are realizing that the bitcoin holders are afraid of the criminals(who's not?) and who knows that those that have been skeptic about BTC before are one of us how.
653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 08, 2024, 02:08:49 PM
With the current performance of Bitcoins, should we say that the Bitcoin bull run has begun or we should expect the real bull run  after the halving as usual.
You can think of anything that you want to think. Whether it has already started or after the halving or whatsoever. What matters now is that we're actually approaching to the bull run and any signs that you're using for your speculation when it has started, it all matters to your satisfaction. Whilst many believed that the bull run has actually started, this isn't yet the actual or real bull run that we're expecting.

The current market state is already bringing joy, is this a sort of trap or what could have led to the current positive market performance.
I'd say that it's a trap when we're actually done in the bull run and when it has been followed by a huge dump but so far, haven't we seen one? none yet.

I do really think, sharing experience can help one learn and avoid the shock of greediness on investment. Tell us your view on bitcoins market performance recently
Many are greedy but it's the typical season that we're seeing now. After this halving and bull run, many will regret that they've never taken their profits. So, when the time has come and you think that it's time to get profits, bull run or not, just mind your own business by that time because everyone's going to be busy with our own things.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just sent 26 BTC to genesis block address on: January 08, 2024, 12:41:30 PM
Unless he moves the coins to another address, I don't believe him.
You don't have to believe nobody because it's the genesis block address and only satoshi is the one who's known to have access on it but we don't even know where he is or might be dead and unlikely to come back.
When I look at Explorer, that address never sent any btc yet (only received), is it possible Satoshi forgot the private key?
Most likely and that's what everyone is believing. So satoshi played it really well and proven one attribute of bitcoin for being anonymous whilst him, pseudonymous. That address is unlikely going to send any Bitcoin for what the most of us think that it's totally lost forever.
It even came from him with the quote at the first post about lost Bitcoins forever and it's probably that he did it on a purpose. So, if there are more people sending BTC on that address, it's like the burn address that satoshi has assigned but there are other addresses that have served the same purpose.
655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does inactive users deserve merits? on: January 08, 2024, 10:18:30 AM
If you think that they deserve merit, do it. That's how it goes if you think that they're meritable and high quality posts and helpful to you, you can even post the links here for everyone's reference and to see if many will agree to you. It's not just about agreeing that they deserve merit but if they seem to be good as well based on someone's judgement, then they're good to be merited. There have been a lot of high quality posts/threads that deserve more merits even the posters of it were inactive long time ago, it's like a legacy that they've left here.

657  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 07, 2024, 11:45:25 PM
While we're on the Bitcoin community and optimistic with this approach, we like to receive salaries in Bitcoin and that won't even be a problem to us even with the volatility. But with these government agencies, you just can't hope that they'll have the idea of what we're optimistic with and then apply it to them as soon as possible. It doesn't go like that as these sectors in the government can't settle for the volatility that Bitcoin has and their employees also won't agree to that part because they want to receive what they've worked for as equivalent to it. While some may agree that it's totally fine as they are also going to invest on Bitcoin why not accept it as payment so it goes directly. Again, it's not for everyone to agree with.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just sent 26 BTC to genesis block address on: January 07, 2024, 09:07:08 PM
If it was an error then that was a big error to make! I can't believe someone could just shoot over an entire fortune like that, its just wild to think of! Perhaps it was a flex or perhaps it was an accident we never really may know the truth. If it was meant to be on purpose certainly they have a boatload of bitcoin!
I don't think that it was an error. It was probably done on a purpose. Who knows that if this is just someone who has bought thousands of Bitcoin during the early days and want to thank satoshi for his contribution and he has done his part. But honestly, this is really a fortune of a lifetime that someone can easily drop off and forget about it. This guy/gal probably have a lot of money or BTC holdings and this isn't really a mistake but sort of token of appreciation and showing his/her gratitude to satoshi and bitcoin.

I think it is supposed to be a demonstration of ownership. The sender wants us to believe he has the private key to this address.
No, it wasn't a demonstration of ownership. Because if someone who owns that address, it's none other than satoshi himself. It is just a way to burn those BTCs forever.

Unless he moves the coins to another address, I don't believe him.
You don't have to believe nobody because it's the genesis block address and only satoshi is the one who's known to have access on it but we don't even know where he is or might be dead and unlikely to come back.

Are you sure OP that you'd like to keep your Bitcoins on a mobile wallet? I'll give + to Electrum mobile and Bluewallet. The last time I've used Bluewallet was long time ago and I had not experienced any single problem with it. As you can see, the debate about the safest really matters depending on many factors, good that you've asked this and I wonder in which wallet you'll end up using.

Blockstream Green is a nice addition to the current list of suggestions, https://blockstream.com/green/
I've used Blockstream Green(Green) but not the mobile version, for me, it's easy to use and user friendly.

@OP for your other reference of mobile wallets;
