641  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 24, 2024, 11:15:49 PM
First off, I must say that Education is very good and i don't dispute the fact that it's very vital and necessary for human development, it can put you in a position to be successful no doubt but being a graduate is not a 100% guarantee for one to be very wealthy, one can be very sound academically but lack some basic skills of acquiring wealth. Also one can still have some good knowledge of certain skills but if there's no zeal or self confidence in earning a living through it then your education on those skills can be said to be a waste since you ain't making effort to earn from it.

 Also I've heard several people complain about having good grades, being 1st class graduates but find it difficult to secure good paying jobs, imagine someone struggling to achieve good grades in the university but find it difficult to earn a living and at the end settle for minor jobs while there are many dropouts with good skillsets as well as being creative and think outside the box, and are bosses of big organisations and companies.

 Well it's not basically about being educated or graduating with the best grades that makes you wealthy, it's about determination, being consistent and also persistent cause success and wealth are not achieved in one day or immediately after graduating. In as much as you have good grades, you must still improve your skills, not only job skills, marketing or management skills but your critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Having a diploma does not mean instant success, if you ask me there is a great deal of people that go to college that do not really have the capabilities to be there, however since college education has become like any other business and profits are the most important thing, then those behind it are interested on pushing it to as many people as possible, and if this means giving watered-down education and offering dubious majors then that is exactly what they will do, even if this mean that their students will get a lot of debt and get no marketable skills either.

This is all true, here in our country it seems normal to get a college school, there are universities that are free and students are made scholars so that they can study, but there are also many private schools that offer courses at a huge amount of tuition per semester. Sometimes, the quality of teaching in expensive universities is not that good, so once a student graduates, when they get a job, they only have a few experiences and capabilities that they can give to a company, that's what happens here in our country, even if you come from a rich school, when it comes to getting a job, the students who come from the public are just equal to you in job offers, sometimes they are the better ones if you look for many things.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 24, 2024, 09:01:28 PM
Yeah, women gamblers are increasing in number due to online casinos but I don't think they can even compete with the number of male gamblers. I don't think that even 1/4th of gamblers are women so I guess male gamblers will always be more in number because women aren't much interested in gambling as males and they really don't want to win and earn, they can easily take whatever they want by controlling their own husbands and boyfriends.

Same thoughts, That's why there are more and more women who are interested in gambling, especially in online gambling apps because the advertisements that appear through online social media platforms attract attention and are very promising.
The number of men who gamble is actually more because they are the experts and pioneers when it comes to gambling, it seems to be the nature of men to learn quickly and get better when it comes to gambling but this is just my opinion based on what I see personally especially in our place.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 24, 2024, 08:26:53 PM
Hi guys, I don't know if something like this have been discussed here in the past, a thread a I previously commented on made me curious about this, so I decided to ask here.

It's a pretty forward and simple question, which is...
1. What is the highest amount of money you've bet on a single game in the past?
2. Did you win or lose that game?
3. Was it an amount you were actually ready to comfortably lose?

My own answer
To the first question, the highest amount of money I've bet on a single game was around $3000, I bet this amount On a sport match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia in 2022 world cup tournament.

To the second question, unfortunately, the game did not win, so I lose this money unfortunately, was a very bitter experience for me.

To the third question, of course this amount was money I was never ready to lose, but over confidence in Argentina to beat Saudi Arabia made me bet it in the game, but somehow, Saudi Arabia managed to beat Argentina, and this was how I lost that money, till date, this remains the highest amount of money Ive bet bet in a single game, and unfortunately, I lost it.

So, what about you?

I have never had the experience of betting a large amount when it comes to gambling because I only have a set amount once I am in front of the bet. I won small amounts even though I didn't bet that much. when it comes to gambling, I always use the amount of money that fits my criteria, I only have a specific or ceiling amount that I should use so that I don't run out of money once I lose.
644  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: February 24, 2024, 10:46:52 AM

Beginners luck is something that would really be strongly be able to influence you to play even more and this is something that you should really be that careful on this case because if you wont
then you are really that putting yourself on possible addiction. Usually noobs would really be creating that kind of beliefs and hopes into his mind that he's really that making easy money
with gambling but once that reality would slap into your face then you would really be having those realizations that it is really that not possible on having this kind of approach on things.
This is why it would really be that best that you should really know on what you are doing and dont let yourself get easily be hooked up by too much greed.

Both the luck achieved by beginners and experienced gamblers will make us easily influenced by what they get.
And novice gamblers are usually very ambitious in pursuing victory, and one day the novice gambler experiences defeat over time and then he realizes that he has made a mistake.
And I agree with you as a gambler, you should try as much as possible not to be greedy when in the casino, whether winning or losing will happen and we have to be able to accept it.

I think whether it is a beginner or an experienced gambler, it is appropriate to hide their gambling activities. Because from a social perspective, it is seen as a complete contradiction to ethics even though the state legalizes it, especially if the gambler is a person who has a position or influence in the social environment. Associating with an environment that has an interest in gambling will indeed influence someone to try it, very relevant to this wise saying "social relations determine the direction of the future", only a few people are lucky in gambling.

since there are a lot of judgmental people around especially now, it's really better to keep the gambling activities we do to ourselves to avoid hearing opinions from other people. I won't lie but I became that kind of person too, especially when famous personalities have issues related to money and gambling, it's easy to judge them because when we hear the word gambling, negative thoughts immediately come to mind.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 24, 2024, 10:15:15 AM

Controlling ourselves is important, it should be done before, during and after the gambling session to be better.
Some people may have good control before start but it may change completely during or after gambling so it can lead into something unexpected.

This is the most important thing that needs to be remember by other people who really wants to engage in gambling activities, It's quite difficult to do since even if we really want to control ourself, It's kinda hard to apply in action. Many gamblers does know how to control theirself but once they experience different things in gambling, just like winning big amount, there is a change because their greed that they tried to suppress from the beginning is starting. It is difficult to explain why it reaches that point because it is about our mind decision.only medical professionals can properly explain why this is happening to us.

646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 09:00:55 AM

I knew they were up to gambling discussion but they never wanted me to know about it.
I never see gambling as a bad activity unless you gives yourself up to it in controlling your emotions. So I think these two guys knew they were at the wrong side of it that is why they never wanted me to know they were into gambling.

maybe that's why they don't want to tell you because they know that things are going a bit sideways in their business and it's only right that they don't tell you about their sources of income. even if you are one of the closest friends because it's a matter of confidentiality. Like what you've said, You never see anything wrong about doing a gambling business as long as you know how to control your money, decisions and emotions, that's all true and it will only become wrong if you cannot handle well your financial expenses and you've already developing gambling addiction.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: February 24, 2024, 01:46:04 AM
when someone has a debt to another person and cannot pay it back on time and giving an explanation and asking for an extension of time for me is much better and also having good ethics like still having the responsibility to return the money.
It's also better than forcing yourself to get results in other ways such as gambling to double your money and quickly pay off your debts it's quite clear that he expects more from gambling, whereas gambling is only a place of entertainment, but instead gamblers see it as a place to make money.

anyone here or out there, I hope that you never think of gambling as an opportunity to make money or hope too much because that kind of thinking is very bad and we can be too dependent on gambling every time we need money, we will definitely run to gambling in the hope of getting money get money but if you are not lucky make sure we don't double the money but double the problem we have to return the money and also lose the money at the same time.

As long as you have a sincere intention to pay off your debt, I am 100% sure that the debt collector will give in and give you an additional deadline, but if you want to run away from your responsibility then it will definitely be difficult to pay off your debt and the debt giver will not give you relief.

Exactly! but not all lending companies give a grace period on the debts you have to pay. Usually they are strict in their policy and they will really follow what is stated in the agreement, they can also pull the collateral you gave them anytime you fail to pay.

648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever introduced an elder gambler to online betting? on: February 23, 2024, 09:58:08 PM
And you, have you ever successfully introduced an elder person to virtual gambling?
I must admit that convincing an older person to play online or virtual gambling is extremely difficult because of technological barriers. Older people are often very lazy to operate on phones or computers, not to mention having to process money transactions on the internet, most of them will be afraid from the beginning. At their period, the internet was not yet developed, everything was direct interaction between people, so that became their habit. Society has changed a lot now, many older people have also worked hard to update technology and use smartphones and computers more than before, but according to my observations, all their operations only stop at simple tasks like watching news, YouTube or playing simple games.
My family also has a lot of older people, they often have the habit of playing cards together instead of playing them through a computer screen, sometimes what they need is interaction and meeting with other players than winning and losing, which virtual gambling cannot have. I once tried to persuade my aunt to play gambling games on her phone, but she said she easily fell asleep after just 15 minutes of playing on her phone. It is difficult for them to concentrate for a long time to play on electronic devices.

Most eldest people are just like them and it is natural because they aren't used to it, They still want the local way of gambling which is using cards and chips. There's still a lot of eldest who is indeed a fast learner when it comes to using technologies especially mobile phones but majority didn't pursue on using it even if it is norm. It's okay if they didn't get it how to use it, at least you offer and teach them how to use and play online gambling somehow.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 23, 2024, 01:11:49 PM
I have noticed that many blame chick for making a decision to split and she wants to keep whole prize. I am sure there were reasons to do that. If their relationships were healthy, she or he would not make moves in the past and right now to split. Maybe that guy was a troublesome. Maybe there were no more magic between them. I dont know their whole background, but I cant blame for leaving that man. I can only blame her for decision not to split the prize.

The woman is not the only one who is at fault here so she is the only one to blame, They both became greedy for money and both are invincible because of their own pride. It's easy to solve that kind of problem, both should just agree on a 50/50 split especially since they haven't been dating for that long, they haven't been married yet so it seems like it would be difficult if you go through legal ways, too much of trouble and hassle on both sides.

651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 23, 2024, 12:26:53 PM
this is one of the few questions where the answer is obvious. and it's a topic I always repeat when we talk about gambling.
you can certainly win, but in the long run, the more you play (compulsively) the loss of money and lack of fun is practically certain.
just look at how many gambling companies are created and how many profits they achieve every year

Well, I haven't read much here about this topic or maybe it's just covered by new topics? Anyways, So some people ask because they are curious as to who actually earns more? The answer is really obvious, but considering the payment of tax, rental spaces, employees rate and other utilities expense, we are not sure who is making more money, right?
652  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: February 23, 2024, 12:06:45 PM
Through out last year I find it hard to get things done with funds despite how my earning was and I find it hard to spend more on my bills around me , though I have been seeing some humans earning and paying bills with one source of income and I do ask myself how is it done

please your advice will be of help
have you evaluate your income and your expenses? maybe because you are living in not so appropriate in your own capacity?
sometimes others are coping with life because they knew how to do a proper budgeting meaning they are only spending
a little part of their income and the remaining is being saved and this is what you must know now since you are already in
crypto world and that is to know how much to spend and how much to save.

exactly! there are other people who earn just enough, it will really take a lot of money budgeting to fit in, others save and don't prioritize luxuries because they know that once they spend on things that are not included in their essentials, they will surely break their budget.

Enjoying life while young kahit enough lang ang ipin or ipon hard now then enjoy later once matanda na basta ensured na financially?

654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between afford to lose and can't afford to lose. on: February 22, 2024, 09:19:18 PM
Your first definition is not correct. It is the second definition that is correct. Even if you are working and collecting huge amount of money, if you are gambling with the amount high enough to make you not to progress in life but making you to have financial issues, that means you are gambling with the amount of money that you can not afford to lose and if you are doing that consistently, thst is an addiction.

That's what I notice at first too and for me, even if you have a job or business that gives you a large income and then you just use it to gamble with no certainty of winning, it seems like you are just wasting the money you worked hard for, which is not what you should be. We really need strong decision-making and self-control, especially if you enter the world of gambling, you need to be able to separate your time and attention from your career and vice. You can't combine them because both can be lost.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: February 22, 2024, 09:01:09 PM
maybe in your country gambling is legal, in my country gambling is illegal, and I have never seen any advertisements about gambling on my local TV station, but unfortunately most children now prefer to watch YouTube, on YouTube I sometimes see advertisements for gambling , but I have set it if my child is holding my cellphone so that it doesn't display gambling advertisements
~~~
Ok but isn't it surprising that 1xbet can run advertisements when your government is so harsh about it? I think it would be easy for them to shut down any gambling advertisements when gambling is prohibited altogether. I get the point that these ads might be placed on Internet streaming channels, but I doubt that in most countries someone could just go and stream an ad when the service or product is illegal.
Those channels are run by many powerful people with connections to the government, so they also advertise illegal stuff but nothing happens to them. They broadcast these advertisements regularly and on a large scale during cricket, football games. I don't know why law enforcement agencies don't take action against these channels, as per rules they can't advertise gambling websites on their channels, but they are doing this illegal thing without any problem.
The law enforcement agencies do not take action against the gamblers in my country, the same way they do not take action against channels run by such powerful people, even I think they may not take any time. Because corruption exists everywhere, they control everything with money power.
It seems that we are almost in the same country based on the description you shared, where the government is a big corrupt one, they don't take any action here especially in the illegal doings of the country because of big and rich people are behind it and strongly attached to the government. Well, when it comes to money, who wouldn't refuse a million million offers just to protect all illegals. I won't mention the country but I know many people can relate to it.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 22, 2024, 08:42:02 PM
Casinos have different styles of play if you stick to one casino it is not easy to know the options of other casinos. As far as I'm concerned, all casino tricks can be learned if you try hard to find alternative ways. But if the gambler is not interested it will be associated with the gambler to try again. People learn new things from change.
The thing there is that one casino can't have it all. The new casinos seem to be coming with amazing offers, tempting odds, and features that we need to go and try out, even if it's for the lowest amount. Seeing them advertise some of their features attracts us to the casino.
Me I can't count how many casinos I have used just this year alone; it might have ranked up to four new ones, the old ones and my regular ones not included. It's just part of me trying to familiarise myself with what they are offering, especially those ones that come to this forum to announce their existence and advertise here.
You have a valid point here, especially is you are the type of person who really wants to explore something new but you also need to monitor the bookings at different casinos because when new ones like that open, there are so many tempting offers and you will really need to strictly restrain yourself from betting to avoid going back and forth to casinos and also not to develop as an addiction the habitual activity you do.
I came from that situation before, so what I did was I listed all my bills and expenses, then little by little I did a cost cutting strategy. I removed all the expenses that were not part of my essentials. I had a hard time at first because I had to save fixed amount monthly just to increase the savings from the salary at work. Like what many people said "just live within your means only" and when you follow that, you won't realize that you're getting used to the strategy you're doing to save more. It will come to a point where you really need to save money, but of course you also need to treat yourself somehow so that you don't burn out from the job you have.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 22, 2024, 12:24:29 PM
I advise everyone to see this video, I'm not related to this person, but I can relate to his stories and the gambling addiction that most of us could have been suffering for years. This is the second video that I have been watching and they say the same things. Not just money they lose, but time and relationship. The other video that I saw that he was not even present with the delivery of his first and second kid, he was done gambling and trying to make money for the hospital bills but it turns out that he losses in both time.
Perhaps you have seen other videos as well and maybe share it here.
I haven't watched the videos related to him but based on your story, it doesn't seem like he is addicted to gambling? Not sure, but it seems that the gambling he did was to earn money to be used for the birth of his wife and for the expenses of his children. It's just wrong because it's always said and reminded that gambling shouldn't be made a source of income because there's a big chance that instead of making money you might just lose all your money, and when that happens, you'll definitely have a serious problem.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 22, 2024, 12:05:32 PM
This is a sick story.
The lady never loved that man, this makes it all clear
 Charlotte asked him via a friend to leave.
👆🏻 she asked the man to leave, via a friend, she can't even said it to his face directly, after they have celebrated the winning together and also have plans for the money, this is very cruel of the lady, I think the man is lucky, someone else could think about taking his life via poison or assassination.
Before reading the whole story, something in me already thought that the lady ruined it all, and I was right, this is the time she will see something wrong with the man, something that wasn't there before they won the ticket, if justice is to be served here, they must split the money into two, but I will like to ask the woman why now? Why is she letting go after money is involved?
Woman are crazy creatures, most of them are this deadly and you may never even notice it, until it get to the point.
Issues been raised after winning? You are definitely right about women. They are decievers, manipulators, pretenders and totally crazy once that greed of money kicks in, right?
Im not really that generalizing but i could do such thing because i have a worst experience with women in the past on which i could say that they arent something to be trusted.
This is the sole reason on why i do make myself that not mindful about settling down or having that marriage thing, because i do really tend to search up the girl that would be something that not just only
good when you do have the money and could really be with you on those hardest times.
Sad stories because of this kind of sudden decisions because of the involvement of money. Love could be replaced and could be broken instantly if we do speak about huge amounts.
plans would be mold out into their minds and doesnt care on the current relationship that they are with. Theyre fucki'n selfish.
Well, not all women are after mens money LoL. It's not because you've experienced something like that that you will imprint in your mind that they all have the same actions and intentions. You will surely find the right woman for you, the one who will help you in everything, support you and most of all, will not leave you or change you for money.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 10:44:33 AM
I had a friend who use to play the gambling only when he consumed drugs,Sometimes he use yo win the money.But most of the time he loss the funds,when we have a chat on the weekend we shared our experiences.The reason of the loss in the drug consumption is the gambler will play the game without any hesitation to take risk.The gambling is the risky game,the gamblers who take huge risk some times make the huge multiple of betting dollars.But the risk doesn’t make him win,because the meaning of the risk is the possibility of losing and winning.Every month we meet each other,the odds between us is gambling.
My friend also added when he had huge winning in the night games without drugs,he had an habit of playing the gambling at the earning morning after wake up.It doesn’t mean an addiction,it was his dedication towards the game.But the sad part is he will loss sometimes if he wake up in the few hours sleep.When he had shared this I had advice him not to do the gambling in both in drugs or early morning games.Because we should not play the game at the early morning,because we are beginning the day.If the game give the loss in the early morning,the entire day will goes in a negative vibe.The new gamblers should take it as the lesson to avoid loss in gambling.
He said that if he doesn't take drugs, he loses, but the winning of a game is not based on that. It just gives him life and energy to be more active in gambling. It's sad to think that your friend suffers from two addictions that we know is one of the addictions that are hard to overcome, especially when they have a serious impact on a person's system. He is trying to win the game because he is using drugs, but the truth is that his system can no longer stop the drugs, his body is looking for them.
