661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mixin is being hacked on: September 30, 2023, 08:01:55 PM
Everything is making me more confused. Anyone help me to clear something up?I wasn't familiar with Mixin the first time I heard about it. It seems they claimed to be a decentralised wallet service. So how would their funds be stolen through a database attack in a cloud store? Was it their personal funds? Because users data shouldn't be stored anywhere on a decentralised wallet. Only users should secure their private keys. Without private keys or seeds, hackers won't attack users funds. It's the funds owner is Mixin, then reasonable. But how could even such a company store their credentials in a store? Why don't they use cold storage?
662  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there another similar concept? on: September 30, 2023, 07:48:02 PM
The forum terms are that signature campaign payments in Bitcoin should run through the service section, and it shouldn't phishing or harmful sites that possibly steal or hack users funds. For altcoins, they should run through the altcoin service section. Nevermind, even if your business isn't related to Bitcoin, you must pay a reward in Bitcoin in order to run a campaign in the service section.

The forum users terms for running signature campaigns should be legit business; cheating and scams aren't appreciated by forum users. That's the condition I have found so far. In summary, you can run a signature for any legit business.
663  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustable or not on: September 30, 2023, 07:38:24 PM
It's seems the OP is promoting a scam behind the question. Telegram is full of scammers, and you are Shilling fake service here. However, I don't think forum users are stupid enough to use @slokzz as an escrow. There are a lot of trusted users on the forum who have been offering escrow services. If anyone needs to use the escrow service, don't deal through Telegram, though you may just chat with real Telegram. Any financial contract must be through a forum PM, even if the user is highly trusted.
664  Economy / Service Discussion / Anyone been using Pyypl? It seems a potential virtual card can use crypto on: September 30, 2023, 07:28:45 PM
Are you familiar with Pyypl? Though it does require KYC, it could use crypto to create a virtual master card and be used everywhere. Funds could be sent through a banking channel as well as in a legal way that considers remittance.

I am not promoting it exactly; I am just curious if you guys are familiar with it. Pyypl solved a couple of problems, especially about virtual cards and bringing money into bank accounts in a legal way. I have been using it for a while and have never faced any issues. But if you don't want to submit KYC, then avoid it.
665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoiding Faucets and Airdrop Scams on: September 29, 2023, 08:46:03 PM
Scammers are taking advantage of our stupidity. Mostly greedy and new crypto users are falling into the airdrop trap. They are submitting their private keys for tokens, which is worthless. Many threads have been raised to protect forum users from such scams. But still, we are hearing about airdrop scams. We have to keep in mind that nothing is free in the world.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving cycle on: September 29, 2023, 08:37:31 PM
Interesting circle to me; it seems we have a bull run after every halving. It would take a couple of months as well, according to past history. So we might not see bull runs and ATH during the halving. The circle clearly shows ATH was after halving, not during the halving event. This is a fact we have to keep in mind. Also,  there is a dump after every ATH. Otherwise, we can't actually mark ATH. However, I am not expecting much difference on the chart due to halving. There would be just a FOMO and pump for a short time. We may see a real bull after the halving event is over.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 29, 2023, 08:28:01 PM
That is where I am currently struggling. I have been trying to teach my family about crypto. I am holding my crypto assets in a ledger. Still, no one is able to handle my device in case I pass away. It's really a concerning matter for me. Also, it's hard to trust anyone outside of my family with such funds. I hope I can teach someone about my holdings before I pass away. Because if my family can't access my funds, they have to suffer. I know everyone thinks about privacy and trust. But in our lives, we have to trust someone; otherwise, we can't live. So yes, it's very important to teach a family member about our holdings.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is possible to clone Bitcoin? on: September 29, 2023, 08:18:50 PM
Anything on the Internet is open-source; you can clone it. Since Bitcoin is open source, you can definitely clone everything. But it will create a new blockchain; you have to start mining from the beginning. You can't send cross-chain transactions to the Bitcoin blockchain. So ultimately, it will be an altcoin. Its like you clone fiat, but it will be treated as fake money. You can't use real money, though criminals try to do something like this, but eventually fake money gets caught. Interesting thing you are questioning and answering wrong. However, you may Google your query to get better answers. There is a fact. What do you mean exactly by clone Bitcoin?
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I smell fear... on: September 29, 2023, 08:04:35 PM
We all know Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency due to decentralisation. So if anything wants to counter Bitcoin, that should be decentralised as well. We shouldn't worry, even when CBDC launches. Also, we shouldn't be overly excited. Everything will be normal; nothing is going to surprise us. I feel CBDC will help crypto users. We can exchange our BTC easily when CBDC is available in our country. But still, the government could monitor us through CBDC since it will be centralised and controlled by a central bank. Nothing to fear; just let them launch so we can act accordingly.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin fail if not Peer-to-Peer and self custody? on: September 27, 2023, 07:33:21 PM
What do you want to express, actually? Bitcoin doesn't need a third party; that's why it's decentralized. If you need a third party, then it's centralised, and there's no difference between digital fiat andYou are thinking about something that doesn't exist. Where have you found something wrong? We don't really need any financial institutions for Bitcoin transactions.
671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges have to learn and improve on their security on: September 27, 2023, 07:25:25 PM
Scam and hack aren't the same thing. We are facing crypto hacking on the exchanges, and users have been suffering for that. I feel exchanges are using some security features to protect their funds. But hackers have been able to break their security system. Even the biggest exchange, Binance, also faces hacking issues. I don't think it's possible to prevent it completely. Because even if you use the most advanced security features, hackers will try to exploit them. Until you keep automating withdrawals, it's hard to prevent attacks. On the other hand, large numbers of withdrawals are impossible to handle manually. Exchanges need to struggle to find something where hackers are unable to break the security system; for example, hackers won't reverse Bitcoin transactions.
672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to add Bitcoin payment to a WooCommerce website? on: September 27, 2023, 07:15:49 PM
It seems the BTCPay server supports WooCommerce integration. Here you may find your desired answers and video tutorials on how it should be integrated. Please take a look: https://docs.btcpayserver.org/FAQ/Integrations/#how-to-use-woocommerce-store-with-btcpay
Since the BTCPay server is supported, I won't prefer any other payment gateway. Because for others, you won't have full access to the funds since they will not provide your seed. Try to avoid custodial payment gateways if you can use the BTCPay server.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: September 27, 2023, 07:01:09 PM
For me, financial freedom inspires me to invest in Bitcoin. When I realised that holding Bitcoin means it's my own bank and I can spend it whenever I want, I started playing with Bitcoin. On the other hand, the decentralised module behind the financial freedom script Bitcoin volatility gives me another inspiration to get benefits from that. Bitcoin has become the most popular cryptocurrency because of its high volatility. Investors could get profits from the volatility. But as I said, financial freedom is more important for me. No one asks questions when I want to spend my funds, whereas banks ask questions when trying to withdraw a large amount.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving and inflation on: September 25, 2023, 08:11:13 PM
A lot of halving threads have been created. It's actually hype, which will create a FOMO. So everyone will assume a pump of Bitcoin. So credit will undoubtedly go to halving for this pump. There is no technical reason for the pump; halving makes sure supply is working fine and miners rewards will reduce. However, for a long time, Bitcoin hasn't been pumping, so most likely it's preparing for a pump that would happen near halving. I think it's the best time to accumulate from our ends. Bitcoin is almost stable now and not much volatile lately, and that's the symptoms of the pump.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the rise and popularity of cryptocurrencies be a vivid example? on: September 25, 2023, 07:58:59 PM
If the current fiat ecosystem can't protect us from inflation, then I don't believe Bitcoin can. It's because Bitcoin isn't part of the fiat ecosystem yet. It's a digital currency that exists virtually and couldn't act directly in a fiat ecosystem. Still, we are unable to use Bitcoin for our daily lives; hence, we shouldn't expect it to protect us from inflation through Bitcoin. But if we are in Bitcoin and could gain some money from it, then it might help us survive inflation. We are earning something out of our real lives that could help us fight inflation.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price increase after halving? on: September 25, 2023, 07:52:46 PM
Halving is just an HYPE and FOMO. Technically, miners will get fewer rewards after halving, so probably miners aren't happy. Due to hype and FOMO, we might see a pump in the Bitcoin price, but it won't last for long without real adaptation. We need something that will keep pushing up the Bitcoin price, just not for a temporary pump. A lot of holders are expecting a Bitcoin pump due to halving, and most probably that's the reason for the upcoming halving pump.
677  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for KYC or various collaborations on: September 25, 2023, 07:47:27 PM
Are you looking for something like they will do KYC verification for you? Does it mean you want to buy KYC verification? I am just confused about your demand. If you are thinking of passing KYC through someone else, then it seems you are going to do something wrong. Otherwise, why are youn't able to do KYC? Selling and buying KYC verification are both risky. I don't think you will find any, at least from the forum. I would advise you to avoid such illegal business on the forum. Otherwise, you might fall into trouble.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are new cryptocurrency projects a viable investment choice? on: September 24, 2023, 07:53:48 PM
I don't hate real crypto projects that introduce new cryptocurrencies. But I hate scammers who capitalise on the current trend. There were a couple of successful bot projects that did very well. Now scammers are taking advantage of the trending projects. So we have to choose solid projects when thinking about investing. Though new projects bring opportunities to make money faster, they may cause you to lose money afterwards as well. So be very careful with new projects.
679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first knowledge in Bitcoin/Bitcointalk on: September 24, 2023, 07:45:39 PM
The greatest and most important thing you learn about Bitcoit isn't quick-rich scheme. That's what we should be aware of at the beginning of the Bitcoin journey. Many of us spread misinformation about Bitcoin, saying that we may get rich quickly by investing in it. Bitcoin isn't an investment project or Ponzi scheme from which you can make quick money. It's a highly volatile cryptocurrency, and we can capitalise on the volatility through trading. That's how we may make money. On the other hand, we may lose money as well due to wrong decisions. So overall, you learn a valuable lesson about bitcoin investment.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Potential events that can initiate next bitcoin rally on: September 24, 2023, 07:38:19 PM
The truth is that FOMO is coming. I can't see any upcoming real adaptations yet. Though adaptation won't be pre-announced and it does happen suddenly, we are unaware of any potential adaptation. Due to Bitcoin ETF and halving a FOMO coming, and the chart would start moving up. But I am not sure if it will last for long without real adaptation. ETFs don't help grow real Bitcoin since they're just contract trading. Halving doesn't really push much; it's just a FOMO; there is no logic to pump. Rather, miners will get fewer rewards after halving. But still, I want to be positive but realistic.
