661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 03, 2023, 08:25:36 PM

Nope, Inoue already has established a good name and he has been mentioned by several boxing legends and some active boxers as well. Whoever Inoue is facing it will always going to generate a good money because the boxing fans would come to see Inoue's performance.

A boxer who have an excellent skill sets can be easily become popular that will attract boxing fans.

No doubt about it because right now the boxers in his weight division wanted to fight him either to steal the show or at least get some decent amount of money from their fight. His skills are rare and he is excellent when it comes to giving the fans the real fight they wanted to see in a boxing match. So he is gaining more fans after his good performances in his latest fight.

of course, whoever is making a noise in the boxing world is the money maker when it comes to fights. but that is, if he will continuously to win fight after fight, and it seems, he's doing a great job for now. if he will beat fulton, he will find a bigger name to fight with, and that list is a very short one now.
if he won't stay much longer at 122, he will definitely go one weight division up, and that needs conditioning of his body. for now, let's see how he will perform with the fulton fight. it is fast approaching and other betting lines are more attractive to bet. winning method, inoue by ko is at 2.07x, whereas, inou by decision is at 3.05x at stake.

Decent enough if you are a Inoue fan, and for sure there is additional adjustment once the actual schedule takes place
during the fight event we will see more options to bet.

I like to follow that opinion of yours, whoever making the noise will earn the hypes the more you win the more you can attract fans and promoters.

Same deal with Inoue after unifying all the belts from his last division, now he's attracting more interest
and possible to make more money fights.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 03, 2023, 06:35:57 PM

And most probably they will not end the regular season in the 8th seed or just barely passed to play in the Play-in Tournament, and in the finals, I'm sure that they could have brought more results or even made a difference if Dame was already in the roster. But in reality, that was not the case and in the upcoming season, it's not that even clear that Dame will land in Miami as there are lots of teams in the league right now who is very inclined to have him.

Yeah right. They might not be playing on all those crucial situations if Dame was there to help, but we all know that we really
can't control or predict what might happen if ever he's with the Heat, right?

Now, with that trade request, a lot of things can happen. Just look at the way when Kyrie requests that trade from the Nets
rumors circulate that he might join LeBron but ending up playing with the Mavs.

Looking to see (Dame) achieving his goal, to win a title.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: July 02, 2023, 09:54:41 PM
In any case, perhaps it was a good decision for Moloney as he is not a champion. But then again Donaire has also a greater chance to win as well if we look at the current odds, he is the favorite here.

Even the fighter that Moloney fought is not a champion, when Inoue left the Bantamweight division, all the belts were vacated. Therefore, Moloney had the opportunity to choose any boxer for a championship fight. It's just unfortunate that he passed on fighting Donaire and instead opted for an easier opponent.

A wise choice that gives him the belt. I'm sure that if he takes Doniare, it can be a hard fight to him, knowing how good Donaire
was and what his capabilities were. It might be a different outcome for Maloney.

Now, it's Doniare that will take his chance to regain his belt, still positive that he can outperform Santiago here, experienced and his
strong hook will be his advantage. As I believe that his skills are still intact, just the speed is no longer the same.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: July 02, 2023, 08:19:33 PM
~snip~
Having boundaries and controlling yourself and your finances is the hardest thing most gamblers have to do.
I myself sometimes still get out of control and spend more money just to continue the game session.
However, there are several steps that can be taken for prevention, namely by only depositing a limited amount of money into the casino with the aim that we don't lose excessive amounts of money when we lose.
It's better to play gambling when the mind is calm because this can help us not to get out of control and get carried away by emotions.

It is an addiction after all.

Some people can't really handle any level of gambling, others can easily gamble a few times a year. Everyone is very different so you have to do whatever works for yourself.

Sometimes that works for one person doesn't work for the next one.

Nothing to say about that. Some may control while others don't. It applies to this situation, and in some cases, there are
gamblers who just play and go, and that's it.

While other thinks that with good mathematical calculations, they can create a strategy that will give them some edge and will allow
them to make some good amount of money out from the casino.

Copying your statement. Sometimes your strategy works for you, but it will not have the same outcome if others will use it.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 02, 2023, 08:02:32 PM
I do not play that much because I know I may lose all my bankroll. Maybe because I believe that you won't every time. We lose more than we win. So, we shouldn't take gambling as a source of making money. Instead, I see it as entertainment.
Correct thinking to be entertained and at the same time bet safe. Most of the slot RTP is below 96% which means player has a guaranteed loss of 4% in long term playing. We are hoping to hit huge win early in able to win against the casino and not by staying longer and playing same games overtime.
That kind of thinking must be owned by gamblers so that they will not experience big losses when playing gambling. But many gamblers don't care about that because they see that gambling can provide fast money for them, so they keep playing. But unfortunately, they won't get it because in gambling, having luck is one of the conditions to win the others. And it is a mistake to use gambling to make money because it will be difficult and impossible to get in the near future. And if we talk about RTP, players still won't be able to get big returns because it also depends on their luck. But they keep playing and trying to win, so it's up to them.

That is correct, it was a wrong mindset to think that gambling is nice source of income. I don't understand sometimes why they thought about that., Gambling doesn't need any skills instead, gamblers always depend on luck to win profit in the game of the casino platform. This mindset must be change in the eyes of a gambler.
This situation is seen in those gamblers who do not work elsewhere. They have no any earning source. So they consider gambling is a source of their income. Even if this idea is wrong, those gamblers take it positively. The opportunity to get money from gambling without doing any work does not help them to think about anything else. This platform should never be considered as a money making opportunity as it is completely dependent on luck. Moreover, uncertain income should never be considered as a source of income.

You said it right, uncertain income, especially if it's a high-risk based source can't be qualified. Gambling is a place where entertainment
can kill you some time and allow you to relax out.

But if in the sense you will going to treat this place for sourcing your financial needs, it will be hard for you to quit once your engagement
already reached to addiction. When there's nothing else, your mind is focusing but all in to this venue.

It's easy to quit if the intention is to enjoy, and the money you use serves the purpose of enjoyment. Win or lose, you can quit with a smile.

Also, one more piece of news came out and I thought they are just discussing the matter about the roster.
Damian Lillard requests trade after 11 seasons with Blazers
Damian Lillard is calling his shot. Portland's all-time leading scorer is ready to leave the only team he's ever played for.

https://www.nba.com/news/blazers-damian-lillard-requests-trade

Honestly, I'm not that surprised about his move for requesting a trade because I already gave it a thought beforehand that sooner or later, Damian Lillard will force a trade as Portland cannot just bring some superstar by his side to provide more results for the team.

I mean, I know he could have requested a trade if he wanted to in the past few years but he chose to stay and gave the Portland some chance.

Damian Lillard trade destinations: Star wants Heat, but plenty of other teams have more to offer

It's time to chase for a ring before it's too late for him, like you, many of us believe he already gave enough time for the Blazers
to bring him a squad that can help him to win a title, but nothing happens.

I remember way back when they face the Warriors in west finals though it's a swept series, but those are the time where they, really
manage to go that far, just some missing piece to add, but it didn't happen, and they are now ended up in this low-performing squad.

Waiting for the trade destination of Dame, hope to see him sign to a competitive team either East or West.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 04:27:50 PM
I am a Mavericks fan and a Doncic fan so I just don't want his years to be wasted. Everything Kyrie Irving touches is cursed. I wish it will not be the same this time.
It's not a curse, the talent is there,  it's the chemistry that he is lacking and chemistry takes time to build up depending on someone's attitude plus he got a ring already. I think, what he lacks is the thirst to win a championship and I don't feel it from Irving. The intensity and eagerness to win aren't the same as when he was in Cavs back then. The Mavs would have a better chance in playoffs if he can play like that before. Just look at Curry, the eagerness is still there. That is greatness.

Hopefully, he will bring that back to Mavs, I mean that competitiveness the way he played before. But if he will play the same,
way back from Boston and Nets.

It might end up the same outcome, nothing that will improve unless the chemistries between these two superstars will ignite
and the rest of the role players will step up as well and provide the lift that both stars will be needed to chase the title.

James Harden trade destinations: Clippers lead the pack, but Knicks, Heat, Celtics and Bucks loom
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/james-harden-trade-destinations-clippers-lead-the-pack-but-knicks-heat-celtics-and-bucks-loom/
Los Angeles Clippers
Miami Heat
New York Knicks
Boston Celtics
Milwaukee Bucks

Where do you think James Harden will land?
I am taking the New York Knicks out of the picture. They are already strong with Brunson around, they don't want to confuse things on the point guard position.
Boston Celtics too. I don't think they need more guards. Malcolm Brogdon did too much for them and I doubt they will trade him. He is one of their gem whenever Tatum and Brown takes their rest.
Milwaukee Bucks too. They have Jrue Holiday there and luxury tax will be pouring if they consider it.

I think the best spot for him is either LA Clippers or Miami Heat. If there's a betting line for this I'd pick the two but if only one choice will be provided I think Miami Heat will be his landing point. Remember, they are making ready to take Damian Lillard if ever the Trail Blazers will trade him, well Harden is not that far from Dame.

James Harden is the biggest name in the trading block now. The odds would favor the LA Clippers because it is the team that Harden personally wanted to play. Personally, I am losing some hope in Kawhi Leonard's condition to become healthy for a full season or the playoffs.

But I will not count out the other teams, even those teams that are not on the favorable list. Many teams are willing to make adjustments for Harden. I am also hoping Harden will consider playing with Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

Hardens' destination is still questionable, depending on which team will accept his demand. But I also agree that if given
a chance, we might see him pairing with Butler and Bam.

Heat might offer something to acquired Harden, might be a good addition if he will adapt to the system, I see him doing that when he played
for the Nets, he managed to adjust for KD and Kyrie, very possible that he can do it again and adjust for Bam and Jimmy.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 30, 2023, 10:27:40 PM
Saw some sparring clips of Inoue in Twitter, and it seems he looks huge at 122 lbs, or maybe he was in the fighting weight as we still have a month to go. And even Tank Davis is hype as well and he said that he is going to watch the fight.

So there is a big buzz on Inoue, and I do agree that the fight should have been made in the US so they he will still get the needed exposure to the audience. Maybe in his next fight, it could be in US against Tapales (if he wins here).

If the demands will call it out for sure we might see that happen, if Inoue will manage to win against Fulton and he decide to
unify again all the belts in this division.

Sure thing that promoters will aim for a bigger venue, the timing for Inoue and Tapales might be very crucial as they needed to gain
that attention to make sure that the fight will earn decent viewership.

Let's wait for the outcome of this upcoming fight and see what will be the next thing that will happen.

If you are gambling with money that is meant for entertainment, whether it is going out with friends to a bar, a movie or any other, even if you lose every last cent, it will not make you regret spending. But if you're gambling with money that you need for something important, like paying for utilities, a gift for a child, etc., then of course you'll regret your action when you lose it.

Before gambling, make sure that losing this money will not do you any harm. Then everything will be great.
That is exactly the way gambling should be seen, when I spend my money and watch a movie and I enjoyed it, do I regret it? Of course not, instead I am happy I took the decision to watch that movie, even if I had to spend some money to do so, and when you gamble with the same intentions then there is nothing to fear as you will spend some money in exchange for the entertainment you were looking for, it is only when people deviate from those intentions that they can get in trouble and regret their decision.

If you exceed from that original intention and once greed dominates your mind, the chance that you'll lose control and lead you
to a tough situation where you will keep on asking for more.

Gamblers always have that self-will before they start to gamble, it's just the change in desire that affects your mindset when you engage
that much into gambling, being out of control lead you to addiction.

But same with you, if you treat gambling as part of your entertainment and the amount of money, you're willing to spare is for the
sole purpose of gambling, win or lose you can quit without any regret.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 30, 2023, 10:33:42 AM
I gamble and enjoy it so much that I have been doing it ever since. Gambling is a very responsible thing and some people cannot change the habit after gambling. And if there is loss by misbehaving with neighbors in the vicinity. For some such people the reputation of gambling is ruined. I've been stuck with gambling for a long time facing losses but now I'm enjoying gambling with experience. So I don't think gambling is bad in any way but peace of mind if I am addicted to gambling.
That's what we should do in playing gambling so we won't chase victory because it's difficult. By enjoying gambling, we can forget about other things for a while and whatever happens to the result, we also won't be disappointed because we are not after anything. But people who chase win will still try and will not stop until they get the win. But some people don't stop immediately after getting a win but want to get another win. They are too greedy with what they can get and want to get more when they can't always get it. So we have to be a responsible gambler.

One of the reasons why gamblers mostly lost their money is because of trying or aiming for a big win, instead of enjoying and allowing
the entertainment to fill the fun they wanted to have money to complete the enjoyment.

If you can look on that side of gambling, then it's a safe sailing for yourself as most of the time failure to control
yourself always push you to keep on playing.

Addiction is the worse outcome once you can't no longer control both your lust and your emotions.
672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: June 29, 2023, 05:57:44 PM
I go with the idea of watching and following some experienced traders. They can give you good hint in performing your trade, might not
have the same outcome, but you'll be able to learn from how they execute their trades.

There are some situations where someone can just hear about crypto trading for the first time and be ready to go into it without even having anyone to teach them; at that point, they may not really have or see any experienced traders to learn from. So, sometimes there is no really experienced trader to learn from; the only thing to do is practice on the Demo account, if the trading platform they are using has a demo section.

It's on you I get your point. There are traders who are willing to jump right away and try some luck if they will earn from this business,
they are not going to look for any experienced traders to follow.

They are just going to move forward and will try everything. If luck permits, then they will gain. If not, then it will be charged to experienced
and the next thing to do is to decide if they will continue or they will stop and forget about this market.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 29, 2023, 05:40:53 PM
Maybe seeing Paul and Steph starting at the same time.
There is a possibility that this approach would help Curry conserve his energy, as they would already have a facilitator, while he and Thompson focus on finding open shots. It would result in a smaller lineup, but adjustments can always be made.

It's quite evident already that the Golden State Warriors aren't looking to change their line-up to keep up with the giant players nowadays that can literally protect the rim and paint, instead, they are giving more focus in what they have and the strengths where they are famous for, small ball.

Now that CP3 is on the Warriors, I think so too that he will be in the starting line-up but that won't be long as they cannot afford to lose CP3 via injury and will just let him rest in-between or where the Warriors needed him the most.

Yeah, this is also what I'm seeing Kerr doing in the next season, they are going small and obviously giving up height against team that has great center. But they still have Green and Kevon Looney.

And they are used to small ball, there are games that you won't see Looney down the stretch, it was Draymond who play center position. And then we have Klay and Steph and then Poole for them. So same lineup, except that CP3 will be their point guard and then Steph focusing on his shooting as well as Klay. So nothing has chance in their style of play despite losing Poole.

And I hope that aside from Steph and Klay playing healthy Wiggins will also be a good part of their campaign, with that last title
that they've got, Wiggins provides them both offense and defense.

With a smaller lineup, they can still work it up if the shooting percentages are higher, and we know that if Warriors are starting to heat up
it would be tough beating them in that kind of game.

With CP3 adding to that system, we might see more good looks for all players who's inside the court.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: June 29, 2023, 12:29:07 PM
No, it doesn't mean that rich people can gamble as much as they want until they become addicted to gambling and lose all their wealth because some rich gamblers, especially business people, gamble for fun and can really be responsible for the gambling they do.
I have quite a number of gamblers with sizable finances, but they can all have limits in playing because they realize that gambling cannot make them richer and to be able to have wealth they have to work or do business, not gambling.

Wealthy gamblers don't have a target in every bet because targeting victory when betting will only make them crazy about gambling and this is what I know from several gamblers I know.
It is kind of rare for a wealthy person to get addicted to gambling as they know very well how difficult it is to earn any significant amount of money and they instinctively understand that gambling cannot provide them with the profits they are looking for.

Still it is not impossible, as we have seen cases of multimillionaires which got addicted to gambling and things went so out of control that they lost all their fortune in just a few years.
Yes, and I'm sure of that, even rich people have their own way of gambling so they don't spend larger amounts of money and avoid addiction.
Rich people especially business people have a way to control their finances as well as when gambling they can also easily control their emotions.

It's because they don't have a clear head like other rich gamblers.
All rich gamblers must have a fairly large business and from there they can think that they will only be able to multiply money from the business and use gambling as a means of having fun.

That kind of business people know how to control and set limitations that they can really follow, unlike with other gamblers
who can't control their emotions, they can easily get addicted and burn their bankroll.

It's always depends on how a person set his expectation, with making money on a daily basis out of gambling, that's really
something that might risk all your money, luck and house edge from the gambling site, things that you needed to consider.

Gambling to earn a little and enjoy, against trying to meet your target in the daily manner which is not possible as you are doing it inside gambling.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: June 28, 2023, 05:45:18 PM
As Holder is only one things that make feel relax without cares about price than trading should be carefully for entry price and out from the market at the right time. At least if you're trader or holder as long as you know percentage that you want to take profit it's all fine

Indeed, you need to set your goal after you fully convinced yourself with your chosen asset, there's no problem if bull or bear
comes up as there's always a cycle and until you didn't meet your target.

You can just relax and patiently wait for the price to reach your target. There's always a good opportunity for both bear season and
bull season has a right timing to collect your profits or to position your orders in expect that you will be able to maximize your profits.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 28, 2023, 05:32:16 PM

Donaire was a great example of a true champion, as he was well aware that Inoue could beat him again, and yet he still risked a unification match to test himself against Inoue once more.
Inoue is also a great example as he always seeks to fight the best opponents, which is why he became an undisputed champion in the bantamweight division. After winning, he wasted no time in moving up for the super bantamweight title match. If he succeeds again, it would be a tremendous accomplishment, and I am certain he will continue pushing his limits.

The reason why he was being compared to Pacquiao as he's not afraid of taking fights that might strip his belt, I mean,
the challenge that he's facing attribute to his greatness.

Like what you mentioned, after unifying all the belts in the bantamweight division, he's now here, challenging the current
Champ and will try to take the belt on Fulton's name. It will be a great challenge as fans will expect him to win.

Conclusion will be dictated after the fight, if who between Inoue and Fulton will hold the belt.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 28, 2023, 12:35:16 PM
Maybe seeing Paul and Steph starting at the same time.
There is a possibility that this approach would help Curry conserve his energy, as they would already have a facilitator, while he and Thompson focus on finding open shots. It would result in a smaller lineup, but adjustments can always be made.

I thought CP3 would lead the second unit. It would be risky for him to play as a starter, considering his tendency to get injured again with increased minutes. CP3's current value lies primarily in his leadership abilities, as he is no longer the consistent playoff performer who could put up significant numbers. That's just my perspective.

I'm on the side where Curry and Thompson will benefit when CP3 will play with them on the starting unit, he can give them spaces
when he facilitating the ball.

With his scoring capabilities, it will add up on their offensive threat. I think the downside is the defense if 3 of them will play together
the opposing side might use the size and speed to take advantage of the small lineup.

We will know that once they start playing together, looking to see how coach Kerr will design the system.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: June 28, 2023, 12:22:13 PM
Gamblers who can't control themselves will keep playing until they really run out of money

If only. The ones with serious gambling addiction won't stop even at that. When they run out of money they'd often choose to go into debt, pawn their car or other items, borrow from family, or even steal from the close ones.
It's a serious condition and I find it hard to have any sort of respect for a business that would try to capitalise on that.

But if gamblers are more focused on having fun then any win will be considered a bonus because according to them satisfaction and pleasure are their main goals for playing gambling, the fact is that people like that don't care about experiencing any defeat as long as they can still control it, everything will definitely be fine.  Wink

That's a different category, those who only visit casino during a night-out with friends are probably safe from any life-changing losses, but there are also a lot of people, often elderly pensioners, who visit casinos as they have no real alternatives for having "fun". That's pretty sad really.
Chronic addicts will do anything to get money just to gamble once there is no other way to get the money, once there is no one they can trust to lend to, once there is nothing left to pawn or sell. Crime will cross their mind, and without much thought and all they have on their mind is money to gamble. And I think there are a lot of cases like that and when they get caught, they will tell the results to give vent to their addiction.

and gamble just for fun because I think going to casinos is fun. It's not something I do often, as my current financial situation doesn't allow it. But there's something about the casino environment that I find energizing, and it's not unlike going out to a nightclub and spending a few bucks to have a good time.

Gambling for fun is more about self-control. If you know how to manage that emotions, then you are good to go
and you are not going to be prone to any addiction as you use the place to sort some entertainment.

Sad things are when you exceed and you let yourself being out of control and start losing patience and
lose your money.

Think ahead and balance your betting strategy. You should be more on the safe and wise side
where your money is located.
679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: June 27, 2023, 05:18:52 PM
No one knows, but we are bullish right now. Because we don't know if it's just a fake pump. It's just a trap for others who think we're about to enter a bull run where when those who buy Bitcoin see a huge amount, the value will suddenly dump and their holdings will be squeezed again.

Still have a possibility, but no one really knows if it's already a bull run or just another artificial pump that will bring more attention to
the traders and investors, for a possible entry to try making some decent money.

Quote
Which will again measure their patience to wait for a long time. So if you are a long-term holder, you don't have to worry about these things because you will hold your Bitcoin for 3-5 years.

That last statement is a valid one. It will not be a doubt for you if you are aiming for long-term success. The current situation will just
repeat itself, and having the set target will keep you safe from fearing whatever situations that will shake the market.

I think the thought of quitting a job that provides me with a steady salary is a bad decision,
consider with a calm mind before making a decision,
better trade make it as a second job and it will be better.
It's not that bad if you're really confident to trade Bitcoin. However, despite of the time and effort you spend, there are moments you can't really take profit consistently since bearish season is for accumulation. Therefore you have to wait for an increase in order to trade your Bitcoin. Just shows that there's a certain time on when you can profit and a time to fill your bags. That being said it's not really wise to quit your job to be a full time Bitcoin trader, though no one can stop you if you think that's more beneficial in your situation.

Anyway, we have different opinion regarding this. Maybe some prefer to go full time because it's convenient rather than working 8 hours a day on a day job while some don't agree.  But just remember to always choose what's giving you a profit that can sustain the needs of your family and it can be both if possible.

Correct. There are different opinions about how to take things out of this situation, if you feel that your level of confidence is already
that high and you fully understand all the risks that involves inside this business.

Taking your chance and try your best to achieve your goals is still possible. Trading is an opportunity for those who will invest time and money.
