1- I want to know if Mr X send me 1 bitcoin to one of the addresses of my Electrum wallet and later I buy a birthday cake with some of the bitcoins in my wallet, Does Mr X understand the cake has been paid by some part of his monies?
Yes.

Quote
In Electrum, When I want to send a payment it doesnt let me choose to pay from what address
It does.

Right click on the address you want to send the fund from and you will see spend from

Click on spend from, Bitcoin will be spent from that address.

6643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The top 5 must-see Bitcoin movies in 2019 on: August 18, 2019, 01:11:47 PM
1. The Bitcoin Gospel – 2015

2. Banking on Bitcoin – 2016

3. The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin – 2014

4. Bitcoin: Beyond the Bubble – 2018

5. Magic Money: The Bitcoin Revolution – 2018
These are more like documentary not main stream movies. Bitcoin Heist is one of the movie I have watched in the past but again it did not have much publicity and the casts were not so popular.

By the way, I will be watching all of the above once I get time. Thanks for the names.

Unless whales will provide for this A grade movie with popular actors and actresses then we won’t see good outcome for this.but looking forward to one good movie to promote not only bitcoin but the whole cryptocurrency as well
While a movie (if it turns out to be a super-hit one) will give great exposure and perhaps a motive to the audience to be involve with it but I am seeing Bitcoin is getting good exposure.

For example sportsbet.io sponsored Watford FC. The major payment method for sportsber.io is bitcoin. Other day I have seen 1xbet accept Bitcoin payment. So, we are not doing bad at all.

Give it few more years, may be next 10+ years, we will see Bitcoin adoption will become huge.

Nope seriously it will work. We would have max of 5 players removed from the batting in case 100 overs are lost. ( as in this match case). Since we lost almost 100 overs in the very first day, this means each team can now bat with 5 batsmen only and we would easily have the result by now.  Wink
Test cricket will lose it's glory :-D
6646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 18, 2019, 12:10:38 PM
This was only possible if we have the full 5 days for this test. Since we are having the 4 day test match, it is going towards the draw quickly.
I think it turn out to be a 3 day match :-P Two days were completely wasted if you sum up the wasted time so far.

Quote
Just a though creeping in my mind, if we have rain in the one day or T20, we reduce the overs for both the teams. Similarly something should be done for  test matches too to get the results.  For example every 20 overs lost in the test will mean that the both the team will have one batsmen less to bat or something like this  Cool
LOL this will be hilarious. Take off Smith from Australian team :-P

On a serious note, I do not see there will be even any thought about it at all. Weather (Rain, wind, sunshine, cold) is a part of cricket match. May be in the future we can see indoor stadium with a huge roof above so that rain can not stop a match than again we will see balls will not swing much because of less windy surface.
6647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 18, 2019, 11:42:00 AM
What's mouthwatering here?
My interpretation is that:
Having the whole 5th day and England having 6 wickets in hand the match could go anywhere.

England could score quick runs, play the innings like ODI match and give a good target to Australia. Australia would either go for a win or a draw or if England bowling was too good then may be England would win from there.

On the other side, Australia could take 6 wickets very quickly and get an easy target to win and either win from there or draw the match.

But, now it seems too obvious that it will be a draw match.
6648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 18, 2019, 11:22:39 AM

The rain in the last day means that this test will end in a draw now. There is no way any team can win now and also there is an almost 1 hour lost in this rain-every-day test match. England should bat the whole day (buttler and strokes are capable to do so) and end the test in a positive note.

The match has started and both Buttler and Stokes are trying to manage some quick runs. We all know the excitement of this Test has gone unless Australia can take all wickets of England before the lunch and I do not think it will happen. Rain will be the winner of this Test.

The dominance percentage of this match so far is (calculated by my broken calculator :-P):
Rain: 50%
Australia: 30%
England: 20%

@ragavancoin, not sure if you have placed bet for Sri Lanka but if you do then congratulations! You won the bet. 10% of the investment is not bad :-)

Also congratulations to Sri Lankan fan. This was an unexpected performance from the team. I did not follow the match but I thought Sri Lanka will lose this series but now it seems they found themselves in a good position to win the series. They just do let the NZ team to win the 2nd Test.

Back to the Aus Vs Eng Test. Man! I hate the rain.

Rain dlays start to mounthwatering final day
This is the current headline in cricinfo.
6650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 10:53:00 AM
Impressive and I just could not help to send you 5 merits out of 6 sMerits I had.

The idea of hoarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, waiting to sell at later times for higher returns is the reason Crypto is slow to be adopted in mainstream transactions. Anyone who gets it try to hold on to it, as long as possible, thereby depriving the market the needed circulation to keep these currencies viable and acceptable.

This is a hard call even I am also mostly trapped here. I do sell my BTC when needed but most of my coins are in hold with this hope that price will spike and I will sell them then.

I think us the community needs a completely different mindset, culture to grow to help Bitcoin to be used for daily life trade. Those who believe in Bitcoin they can buy it whenever they will have cash and instead of spending from the cash, spend Bitcoin when a merchant accept it.

Yes we have high fees, transaction delay etc etc are there but once we start using it for daily life trade then I think we will get used to it. Perhaps people will accept Lightening payment more seriously.
6651  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] Yobit Signature Campaign / Sr. Member- Legendary on: August 17, 2019, 08:07:59 PM
Anyone complaining about not being paid was caught abusing our campaign with multiple accounts.  Any type of cheating will not be tolerated.

We have expanded our marketing budget and as you may have noticed, we have been running a lot of ads on coinmarketcap.com and wish to hire some quality posters from bitcointalk.org as well.
I do not understand why you guys don't hire a campaign manager and let them do the quality control of the campaign? We will see less spam.

And also improve your customer service quality although I personally never had a bad experience with Yobit but all those people complaining about you does not really look good.

Can srilankan team going to win the match without any upset tomorrow?, because of they are need only 135 runs with 10 wikets in hand to win in final day, so it will be sefe to bet on srilanka? Please let me share some tips about it I can bet on srilanka team?
Sri Lanka should win this Test very easily. You need to check weather forecast before placing the bet. The only upsetting thing I can think of, is the rain.

By the way, I see the odd for Sri Lanka is only 1.10
Do you think it worth the risk? I have record to lose an odd that was 1.06 against Sri Lanka. And I lost around 0.05BTC on that bet if I can remember it correctly.

Still couldn't believe that Smith missed his 3rd consecutive century by just 8 runs.
Yes, it was heart breaking to see Smith missed his 3rd consecutive century. I am worried about him for the 2nd innings. Can he bat the way he do? I hope the injury is not much serious.

Bitcoin Heist is a movie you can watch but I do not think many people watched it and it had much popularity. The actor and actress were not much recognized.

A Hollywood movie will do the job with some A graded actors. Thing is that do they have any producer/writer who is interested in Bitcoin?
6655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 17, 2019, 06:07:48 PM
I am hating this rain. Around 8+ overs were wasted. If the match were continued then we might see one or two more wickets to down. Good for England.

Regardless of the result of the match (which will be draw) i am disappointed with England performance. 96/4 in second innings is not something which you will be looking by England nation. Even though match will be draw, but England need to reconsider how they can rectify their batting issues.
I will not say that this current Australia has their best squad (I am missing Starc) but the way they are coming back to the match every time, is really exciting. England seems a team who does not have any clue what they are doing. Their top order needs to be sorted.

Is CHANGELLY SCAM EXCHANGE?
Lately we are seeing so many complains against them so it is highly recommended that not to use them. Have a search in the scam accusations board you will find a lot of them.

Edit:
Just thought to make things easier for you since you are a newbie.

With two more wickets down, England seems to be in trouble now. Even though they now have a 100 run lead, it's very difficult to say if they're doing fine at this time with only this much lead. Tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day! Let's just hope that rain doesn't ruin that last day.
I am not expecting much from this Test but if Australia can all out English and can win this match then I will be a happy man. They have possibilities. Took 4 wickets very early. Now Stokes and Battler are the challenge for Australia. Get at least one of them before stumps today and then tomorrow go for the rest of the wickets as early as possible. If Australia get a target of 150 or 180 then they can win this match.
6658  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 with zero or neutral trust on: August 17, 2019, 05:01:24 PM
I still think it would be handy to have a trading trust ranking, rather than a forum policeman ranking.
I do not disagree with you but the reality here is that the forum policeman ranking gets most of the advantage* I think.

*Being in the DT network. Both DT1 and DT2
6659  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 with zero or neutral trust on: August 17, 2019, 04:35:22 PM
I've not been keeping up with the latest changes to the trust system, but I'm having difficulty in understanding the justification for including a member without a positive trust entry in the DT1 rankings.
Is it really necessary to have a trust feedback to be in DT1?

Here everything explained to be in the DT1 however here are all the criteria to be in DT1:
#3
I will periodically (maybe every month) be reconstructing the default trust list to include everyone who matches these criteria:
 - If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank.
 - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.
 - Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries.
 - You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection.
 - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
 - You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
 - You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

So, if you notice carefully then you will see there are no such criteria that someone has to have any feedback to be in DT1. And personally I do not think a feedback is necessary to be a DT. A DT should be the one who has good sense of judgement of the forum affairs.

Highly unlikely, they already lost 2 wickets Roy and Root for 20 runs. Unless they give a stand and play the right balls,  Aussies are getting a chance here.
Maybe, my predictions will go wrong and Aussies will win, but England is nowhere near winning this game. Tongue
Only 30 overs left of today.

Since England lost two early wickets, we will see defensive batting from England which means England will try to stay in the pitch as long as they can. This will be a draw match.
