Look like interest died down. I don't understand why, though. It's a great coin.

PMC's main problem now is one of trade volume. If the coin was on a bigger exchange, the majority of trade volume would move there. It wouldn't spread the liquidity.

Adding PMC to any more smaller exchanges would though.

Proof of work can be anything. It doesn't have to be mining in the computational sense. It's just a convenient method that is easy to verify and hard to forge.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's the exact same people pumping these coins.

PMC went down yesterday, but it's already bouncing back up.

As I said, the coin is rare. Those who are manipulating the price now are going to buy themselves out of the market the next time the price goes high.

Look at Mint, Maza, Aurora and now Blackcoin. Pumped and dumped and will probably never recover. Thankfully PMC is too rare for this. The price could be pumped, sure, but who could afford to pump it as high as those coins went? Does it even make sense to dump such a rare coin?

I see a long future ahead of PMC. The only thing stopping me buying more is that I know the coins need to spread out. As I'm holding mine long term I'd only be taking coins out of the active market.

There you have it. Maxcoin meant nothing to him, and people should have listened to the doubters from the start. Max can shrug it off, but people invested money in his crapcoin.

I'm sure he's acquired lots of new fans out of this.

While that is conjecture, I do find it extremely puzzling that he would not post the address if his story is legitimate. You'd think he'd be desperate to post every bit of information he had to exonerate himself.

I feel sorry for the bag holders who bought in on the rise and didn't sell out before the drop.

The sad part is how so few people are questioning his story.

There's going to be considerable cynicism, as 50% premined coins are becoming a worrying trend. The national I.D part is a nice idea, but you'll need to convince people that the logistics of your plan are sound. That's a lot of people to give coins to.

Coins that have good developers, and are rare enough to retain some value.

I would suggest PMC. Less than 500,000 total supply, and unbelievably cheap right now, thanks to the current bombardment of daily altcoins. Worth holding a few long term. It won't cost you much, and it could make you a lot of money someday.

It's worth holding a decent portfolio of altcoins. Your odds of owning one that will go up in value will increase that way. Best to look at which coins are currently undervalued. KDC and Cash are two others that spring to mind.

Provided the puzzles can be solved by humans, and not end up being bot-mined (which you can bet would be the first thing some people would be working on), it could be done.

The tricky part is in making the proof of work verifiable.

Trader bots might increase volume, but they also decrease value.

Well, there is that, but it also increase the block size, meaning anyone sending PMC has to pay a larger mandatory txfee if the block has enough transactions in it.

So it results in larger block rewards overall. I think regardless of how many miners are currently mining PMC, the block rewarder is better left on, than off.

Due to the shorter delay between block injections I've spotted 4 of my rewards in a single block, pushing the block reward over 0.15. Not a bad amount of PMC.

Block Rewarder has been re-enabled. I've sped up the tx fee injection time, so most blocks should have rewards.

I'll speed it up even further now, see if I can hit every new block.
