701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 14, 2023, 01:06:42 PM
I believe it can be a little more successful in Serie A because it is not as difficult as the Premier league. Serie A is of course a difficult league, but Milan is one of the important teams in this league and Pulisic, who can play in many positions, can achieve great success in this team.
Yeah Serie A isn't difficult as the Premier League because if we take a look with the Champions League when the final matches were always dominated with Premier League's team. But what I like in Serie A is the unpredictable performance of the team, sometime AC Milan become a winner, but sometime they're not able to reach top 3 etc. It's not like Premier League when there's a team is very tough, almost no team can beat them, but it's not like Bundesliga where Bayern Munich looks impossible to not win.
The English League is indeed considered the most difficult, but I think Serie A is not inferior. I think that there are only three strong leagues in Europe - England, Spain and Italy. Even Germany or France don't have as many strong clubs as the above mentioned countries. Serie A is very competitive and because of that many matches are unpredictable.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: July 14, 2023, 12:19:44 PM
Yesterday, thanks to the altcoin ripple, the whole market went green. Some coins showed excellent growth. Even Solana was worth more than $30 yesterday. So now we can't say for sure that altcoins are dead. Probably for altcoins on the contrary, a good future can happen now. All coins are at the bottom one way or another.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: July 13, 2023, 03:55:18 PM
I also see that the NFTs hype is coming to an end. People are starting to question what's the point of them buying an NFT? Honestly I used to see NFTs as a place where the super rich spend their money.
Justin Bieber spent more than $1.3 million on NFTs last year. Currently, the value of that NFTs is around $59,000. It says all.

The people who will make real profits are the ones who bought them at a low price before they became popular and sold them when the prices were high. Now NFTs become a joke to me, and it makes sense why their value is crashing. Junk items.
It is not a fact that someone was able to get very rich buying and selling the most expensive nft. Maybe it was fake buying and selling from themselves or lies on the sites where the collections were sold. Either way the hype has faded and nft's are no longer worth as much as they once were.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 13, 2023, 11:33:10 AM

Firstly I would like to point out that no one can actually be successful through their gambling because your success will always go back to the source where it came from whether in large quantity or small one.

I disagree with this sir because I've seen and I know over two people who all their success stories today has been accredited  to gambling and there is a childhood friend of mind who played a game of about 30 thousand naira and that's about $60 in btc and meh he won a life changing money in my local currency  and ever since then hisife took a new turn and his a owner of about 3 bet outlets.
Well I won't say that I haven't seen or heard about someone making a huge win that can actually change their life but I always like to think about the whole money he must have spent before he could be able to get that particular big win. Because of all these news about people hitting miracle wins from their bets, the whole gamblers in my neighborhood have all turned gambling addict because they say that the only time they relent on their bets they won't have that lucky win.

I have come across many winning stories where people got the money they needed to change their lives, but it is also true that they may have experienced losing a lot of money. Because those who lose big money don't want to reveal their losses, everyone is excited about the win but no one wants to talk about the loss. All of us gamblers are inspired by winning stories but there are many hidden stories that we don't like to hear. In order to win from gambling, the gambler must constantly try his best. On the other hand, luck can favor you at any time if you conduct gambling normally without becoming addicted to winning.
It is impossible to be consistently successful at gambling. The casino will always win, not those who play in the casino. Yes, you're right. You may get lucky a few times and win some amount of money. But nobody but you and the casino will know how much you lost. It is possible or even likely that the loss will be greater than the winnings. It's a similar situation with trading on the exchange. You may have good trades, but you will never tell how many bad ones you have had.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: July 13, 2023, 08:21:53 AM
So far, bitcoin has had several cycles that have been repeated in roughly the same way, but each time the growth has been smaller. We cannot say for sure that these cycles will be repeated every time. There are exceptions and failures in any system. The second dangerous factor may be that bitcoin has never faced a global crisis, which is the case now. But you are right that many investors have positive hopes.
While there are many investors who have more expectations of Bitcoin, it can also be a factor that a repetition of cycles like what has happened in the past can also happen again next year even at a different price range. Because improvements and corrections are two things that have always existed in Bitcoin so this cannot be denied by anyone, even though the desire of many investors is for more positive things to happen in the next year.

That's why it is called cycle, and I doubt that it will be broken in the next block halving. And speaking of block halving, this is very unique design by Satoshi himself and that's why the price keeps getting higher and higher every 4 years because bitcoin is getting limited and scarce.

So there's no question in my mind that it's possible that we are going to hit another all time high again, in 2024-2025.

The best thing to do is simply accumulate and then HODL in the long run.
This is not a mathematical cycle that cannot be broken because it obeys a certain formula. It is a market cycle that can fail, for example because of a crisis. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm just saying that it can't be ruled out. Halving is a major factor in bitcoin deflation, but you can still buy bitcoin on the exchange in almost any quantity. Unless of course you have a trillion dollars.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: July 12, 2023, 08:32:58 PM
The sec and the us government do not have control of the whole world, in their part of the world they try to stem the expansion of crypto and to keep financial control to traditional banks but it is a losing fight and they know it
I think America is playing dirty against crypto. For example, China just banned crypto for a while, then created regulatory laws and first allowed it to be used in Hong Kong. And the US started an obscure interpretation about securities or not, which is almost 100 years old. Garry Gansler's face alone is not credible and I'm sure he made money from market manipulation.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 12, 2023, 06:15:45 PM
Mbappe is one of the best players in the world right now. He is still very young and already has so many titles that older players don't have. He has a lot of ambition and wants to achieve big results. PSG is not a bad club, but Mbappe realises that apart from money he will not get much here. He needs titles in Europe.
If Mbappe still has ambitions to win titles in Europe or titles like the Champions League, then the solution is to move to a team that has often won the Champions League and also their own league. Even though PSG still win Ligue1 very often, PSG still haven't proven their ability in the Champions League so that is what Mbappe has yet to achieve at PSG. And if next season Mbappe still stays at PSG, of course he hopes that PSG can really have extraordinary abilities in the Champions League besides in Ligue 1.
PSG have been unable to win the Champions League for a long time now. This season they had Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. This is the best attacking line up of any European club. Even Manchester City, who had no problem winning the Champions League this season, have a worse attacking line up than PSG. Well, the fact that PSG regularly win Ligue 1 is because they have almost no competition, and they barely won this season.
708  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: July 12, 2023, 03:26:44 PM
I think it doesn't matter if bitcoin doesn't happen ATH anymore, a loyal community and continues to increase is an important key that bitcoin will survive, and this is what makes many countries legalize bitcoin, even if ATH doesn't happen again I'm sure users won't leave bitcoin.
I think that many would like to see that bitcoin will continue to reach ATH, because indeed every investor really hopes that ATH is always formed for every period that bitcoin does. because every ATH achievement that will be carried out by bitcoin will always be awaited because it also affects every movement of all existing coins. I agree that the community on bitcoin is indeed quite high but it does not rule out that the need to continue to increase and achieve renewable ATH is highly anticipated.
I think that if you don't see ATH again, of course all investors don't expect it because they are really waiting for this to continue to happen.
So far, bitcoin has had several cycles that have been repeated in roughly the same way, but each time the growth has been smaller. I'm really finding it difficult to believe that Mbappe is still not interested in staying at PSG knowing how much they (PSG board of directors) are ready to splash on him in terms of salary to be paid. After making those comments during the Interview last week I just feel that things between Mbappe and the fans ain't going to be the same again. I'd let him have a taste of what Messi and Neymar Jr went through from the fans, how they boobed those players without considering how they (Messi and Neymar Jr) feel or how they are ready to play and win trophies for the PSG side. But it's clear that Mbappe don't want to play or stay at the club again. My question is, what kind of reception is Mbappe going to receive from the fans?

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin for bitcoin on: July 12, 2023, 01:47:33 PM
Ah well if you really want to consider bitcoin worth something equal then it’s 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin stuff. There is no other currency which can compare itself with bitcoin or it stability. The one bitcoin equals one is like considering the values of every product and services in terms of bitcoin valuation. Then we will see the power of bitcoin and its stable value. If Bitcoin is considered the other way around then obviously we will have to keep thinking bitcoin as highly unstable coin all the time. We should not be comparing bitcoin to any coin or fiat for that matter.
This is the misinterpretation by many, they are thinking about Bitcoin as a plain coin and should be backed up by a stablecoin. I honestly trust Bitcoin more compare to any stablecoin and it doesn’t need one just to tagged as an asset because Bitcoin is already an asset. Stablecoin is still controlled by someone so you should not fully trust it, just learn from the failed stablecoin and you’ll see why Bitcoin doesn’t need one.
One way or another, bitcoin is valued in different currencies. In much of the world, for example, it is measured in dollars. Even when you buy something online with bitcoins, the value is still stated in dollars, i.e. in bitcoins it changes according to the exchange rate. Stablecoins were simply created for the convenience of trading on an exchange and have only now become something more.
both of them have their own goals which of course support each other, bitcoin being the main goal is to make a profit, while stable coins are the main goal is to maintain asset stability. so we have to use it appropriately for the purpose of getting a bigger profit. the profit earned from bitcoin can be used to buy our needs by converting them into dollars, and we leave it in a stable coin to wait for the moment to buy bitcoin again, that way we can buy with a little capital and get lots of bitcoin, because we buy when there is a price drop
At first glance this idea is very simple and looks very profitable. But for some reason, only a few people have been able to make a lot of money just by buying cheap and selling expensive. Although bitcoin has clear cycles of when to buy and when to sell. But few people have the patience to wait for several years, especially if bought at a high price. In such cases, you should definitely have stablecoins.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 11, 2023, 03:20:09 PM
I think this project will have potential for growth. Now Binance needs to raise bnb and attract new users in every possible way after the SEC accusations. I think that the new IEO project is just right for such a case. Probably for Binance it doesn't matter what kind of project it is, the main thing is to do everything in time.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 11, 2023, 02:27:12 PM
There will be no repeated mistakes that Real Madrid will make in this transfer season because we can see that Real Madrid have acquired several young players at not too high a price and left money to take Kylian Mbappe when the time comes.
Many hope that Kylian Mbappe can be present among other players at Real Madrid to be able to take his glory in the champions league later.
Nasser Al khalifi will not let Mbappe move to Real Madrid for free. He had spoken and wasn't happy about the decision of the player to not extend his contract and activate the 1 year renewal option. This put PSG administration in an awkward position and all of them will be convinced that his departure this season is essential for the team since they are the only one losing in this whole story.
Mbappe have a good salary. Real Madrid will get the player for free next season. PSG will lose him once for all for free and this isn't good for them. They will make him move for a good price by the end of this transfer window!
I also think Mbappe won't be able to move to Madrid this season because it would be huge money for the club. Real Madrid won't pay that when next season they can buy Mbappe at a reasonable price. I think nothing serious will happen if Mbappe doesn't play for Real this season, although they will miss such a striker.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 11, 2023, 01:19:36 PM
it would be easier to have other alternatives to vent his addiction to have fun in other ways. I mean like when I run out of my gambling budget I will play video games that make me forget the thought of gambling.
maybe this method is not very guaranteed, but I have done it myself and feel that video games can be an alternative to slowly forget about gambling.
Anything that could help you to get your mind out of gambling for a time is fine, so not only video games are an option but any other recreational activity you may like as there are many hobbies out there which are incredibly cheap on their nature or sometimes completely free, this way you can still get a similar amount of entertainment while reducing the amount of money you dedicate to gambling at the same time, hobbies which will also help you to not think about gambling as much as you did before and make it easier for you to quit, if that is what you want.

I agree with this. There are many ways to enjoy and to entertain yourself without breaking the bank. You can have any hobby that will be beneficial to you at the same time or just bring you pure happiness with nothing in return but satisfaction. This way, you can divert your attention from other things aside from gambling and reduce your expenses that you can allocate to the necessities or other form of recreational activity. It will be up to you whether you will dwell on gambling or not. The choice is entirely yours to decide. And the level of difficulty will depend on your discipline.
It's easy to talk about discipline and various hobbies when you don't have a gambling addiction. Not if a person has a gambling problem, these things don't matter to them. It is an addiction like alcohol, nicotine or drugs. That is, it is not possible without the help of specialists to just do something else to stop gambling.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: July 11, 2023, 12:18:52 PM
Bitcoin is approaching its next move, and there is optimism about future price increases. Some concerns remain, including the situation of Mt. Gox and the ability of the Bitcoin economy to survive large price increases. Bitcoin price prediction to reach around $40K towards the end of this year, seems still realistic especially especially recently the price of bitcoin has again reached above $30k and the crypto market looks green again.
Bitcoin's current price range is still at $31K and below $31K and that means that Bitcoin is still very strong to increase more than that if no more major corrections occur in the next few months. I am quite optimistic that the price of $40K can reach the end of this year because of the reality now that Bitcoin is no longer so affected by bad news. Even so, worry and panic can occur even if it's only temporary because the optimism of many people is still far greater than the panic that appears suddenly.

The $40k goal isn't really that hard for bitcoin, but if you think bitcoin is no longer affected too much by bad news, that's not entirely true. The future is unpredictable and we cannot predict what will happen. Negative information can come to us anytime, we can be optimistic, but we should not be subjective. Based on the current situation, the bear season is not over yet if calculated according to the 4-year cycle, the world economy has not recovered, and the news around Mt.gox still haunts us...There is much more to be careful than optimistic that the negative news will stop hitting us.
I think that 40k is very difficult for bitcoin, because first it has to break a very strong resistance at 31-32k. After that there will still be a few levels of resistance left. I don't know what could influence this, but there should definitely be some very good news.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 10, 2023, 04:48:59 PM
Juventus captain Leonardo Bonucci has 1 year remaining contract but there was no attempts from Juventus they will extended his contract and currently he was thinking some offers which come to him such as from Newcastle and Arabian clubs that it says some of Arabian clubs were interested to used his service but it wasn't mentioned which club who want him and i think it's time for Bonucci to thinking his future because apparently Juventus aren't willing to give him contract extension because Juventus feel his performance was decline and last season Bonucci only played 16 times at Serie A i think it's clear he didn't earn trust from Allegri and moved to other clubs would be good for him especially Arabian clubs because these teams possibly will offering huge money to him
My friend, Bonucci is at a career crossroads. I disagree. Although his Serie A playtime has reduced significantly (down to 16 games last season) I don't think it's a performance decline. Allegri's approach and team dynamic may be involved. Have you considered Allegri's penchant for team reshuffles? You think Arabian clubs may make him money. My query: Will money trump competition? He is Juventus' captain - will he simply relinquish that honor? Newcastle might be smart. A legend like him could strengthen their backline and mentor younger players. At this point in his career, could he handle the Premier League's fast pace?

Probably not many of the younger generation know about Bonucci now. Yes, he's a star of the old days, but it's hard to talk about his ability now. I remember accidentally seeing Frank Ribery in one of the games. It was a shock for me. The times of these players are over. Now there are new stars who have to play.
716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - how low will we go in 2023? on: July 10, 2023, 03:04:55 PM
It is unknown no one can pin point the exact price of btc from the start, no one knows how low it will go and no one knows how fast it will recover from dip.mostly btc is being affected buy some negative news that is why it drops beyond the limits, but if there are also a good news it will also recover very fast so i think we need to be more active on the different news.
Yes, of course no one knows for sure, but we can predict it with various aspects so that speculation arises and that will be done by everyone who trades or invests in Bitcoin.
If you look at the price movement of Bitcoin over the course of the year then I don't think we're ever going to go under 20k anymore, now there's a lot of pushing for this slow movement to move on the upswing, I'm sure of that.
Do you think that people expected the price of Bitcoin to go as low as $16k when it touched $69k? I don't think so, and what that proves? It proves that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, in general, are unpredictable and highly volatile, so we can't really be sure if Bitcoin will drop back to $20k or below or not because anything is possible when it comes to cryptocurrencies. A couple of bad news circulating in the market can cause great damage to the price.

I don't want any of that to happen, of course, because I also want the price to go up just like everyone else, but what I said is a fact and we should always think factually and consider all the outcomes instead of thinking about one and ignoring the second, that way, we can always be ready for both situations.
It's really hard to guess where the price will end up by the end of this year. But for me the key factor is the next halving, which is less than a year away. If the cycle is not broken, a new bull market will start soon. And it doesn't matter what the price will be in 2023. It's much more important what happens in 2024-2025.
717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: July 10, 2023, 01:47:52 PM
The market has not been bearish for more than half a year. True, it cannot be called a real bull market, but the price is now twice what it was in January, so it is now an uptrend. The recent fall can be called a correction of the uptrend. The last resistance at 30k was broken. Now there is hope that 40k will happen. The big foundations are with us again and should help.
Today an increase in the price of Bitcoin was seen again and it is possible to go to $ 40K although Bitcoin still has not broken through $ 32K today because the increase is taking place. I'm pretty sure that Bitcoin will reach $40K within this year, but in the near future it will still take time for Bitcoin to cross $32K and approach $35K with stronger increases. So I also believe that this uptrend is a trend that it is time to make improvements in Bitcoin and in some other cryptocurrencies as well.
The new week has not started in a good way for bitcoin. Although the price is still above 30k, the bulls have run out of strength to break the resistance above 31k. It seems to me that the momentum may end in the near future if good news doesn't come to the market again. But for now bitcoin is in a narrow range, altcoins have a chance for a small festival.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 11:30:15 AM
If they invested time and effort here, most probably this is their profession already.
I mean they take gambling seriously and not just gamble for entertainment. There are gamblers who are treating gambling like their daily job and some are earning a lot and that’s the time we can call you a successful gambler if you are able to control your finances and keep on winning in gambling.
If gambling has become a profession, i.e. your regular source of income, it can probably be called an addiction. You can't do without betting on sports or poker. Otherwise, you will be out of money. I think that even if a gambler gets a regular job, like a shop assistant or a warehouse worker, he will want very much to keep gambling. So gambling is an addiction in one way or another.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Solana hit $40 this year? on: July 08, 2023, 08:10:45 PM
if the bullrun comes this year, maybe it can happen, because currently SOL price is $21.42 and for SOL price to reach $40 it only requires an increase of 2x from the current price, so it is a very easy for SOL to achieve $40 if a bullrun occurs, because every time a bullrun occurs, most altcoin prices increase at least 3x from the current price or even reach the ATH price and the ATH price of SOL is $259, therefore I believe if the bullrun occurs on this year, so the price of SOL can reach $40, but if the bullrun has not occurred on this year, then it's very difficult for the price of SOL to reach $40, therefore this depends on market conditions, but now is the right time for you to buy SOL, because SOL prices are still very cheap and worth to buy.
At the beginning of the year, when SOL was below $10, I didn't believe the coin could recover at least to its current price due to the collapse of the FTX exchange. But now that SOL is above $20 I think $40 is realistic. I'm just not sure it can happen this year. I think the market will start to show good growth next year.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: July 08, 2023, 07:19:03 PM
Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you

just add more your BNB and ETH, because in my opinion BNB and ETH are the right choice to make an investment, so you will definitely get profit from investing in BNB and ETH, but if you dare to take risks, then you may try investing in new projects (SUI and ARB which I think are better than HOOK and ID), but I still recommend you to invest in BNB and ETH, because BNB and ETH are safer and will definitely give you profit in the future.
I don't think BNB is the best option for investing, especially now. There have been a lot of big funds applying to sec for etf approvals lately. It's all coming to a point where bigger and more licensed exchanges will emerge. So I think binance has a threat for the next few years. Nothing lasts forever in this world.
