701  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin crossed 520$... on: June 09, 2016, 05:52:50 PM
That's nothing... it is still pretty cheap. wait t'ill it gets to $700 or probably more before July. The halving is coming and the price might rocket any minute now!
Yup they tried to crush the price wit ha panic sell after the 595 top of the other day, but it quickly recovered and now we are at a really really stable 580 price. It will not last much, the price is wanting to explode all the way up.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: June 09, 2016, 05:51:26 PM
Investing is pretty risky in bitcoin, because how unregulated it is.

I would invest max 1 or 2 bitcoin and keep the other 10 bitcoin save.

Perhaps 1 bitcoin for passive investments like investing for gambling bankrolls (satoshidice and bitdice are good websites to do this, you can split between these two, or you can find even more if you want to split more, if you want more suggestions just pm me). Or loans on exchanges (i think bitstamp allows you to loan money to people who want to short or trade on margin, but I never tried this so i don't know how this works and how save it is).

The other 1 bitcoin you can trade actively if you want to actively trade. If you're good at poker or know a lot about sports you could use poker or betting on sports, which are both slightly risky, but better than normal gambling. I would not advice regular gambling, as you'd more likely lose money than gain money. Even though I invested in gambling websites and make some money from losing gamblers, I never advice people to gamble. Luckily not everyone listens to my advice.

You could find some other investments/startups to invest in, but research them before you invest. If you find any promising investments, let me know, I might want to invest in those too, if they look profitable enough.

HashOcean also looks promising, although I would be cautious with investing too much, I think they look legit, but I have no experience with them yet, so I plan on investing a small amount and see how it goes. They mine altcoins with Radeon R9 cards and sell those for bitcoin, the payout seems to be fairly consistent.

So far, the most profitable for me has been investments in satoshidice and bitdice. Although you never know how much you make because it depends on two things:

1) How many people gamble and how much bitcoin they gamble
2) How much luck the gamblers have, on some days they might have so much luck that you actually lose money, but since you have a house edge of 1%, in the long run you will earn money. (out of every 1000 bets they make, you win 505 times)

If you invest in those, you'll see over the course of a month or so you'll have some profit. Those are my long-term investments, so that I can get some passive bitcoin income.

They won't make you rich overnight (but no investment really does) but they will give you some long-term profit.

I was planning on investing on hashocean but im too scared that before I even make ROI they will shut down the site and run with the money.
It has been active for years it seems tho so it would take bad luck to be you the sucker that gets robbed..
703  Other / Off-topic / Re: I spent all my saving on bitcoin, now i am broke on: June 09, 2016, 05:47:28 PM
If this is real, OP will be rich in 20 years, because only hardcore holders (actually burying your wallet is a hardcore holder) will hold BTC for that much amount of time, so by then, a single person owning 5 BTC will be a rarity, which means OP will be wealthy as hell.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Knights of the Old Republic on: June 09, 2016, 05:40:02 PM
Lol this is really nice, do the numbers have any functionality? you could make an actual game, like a dungeons and dragons roleplaying game with the cards, a table and so on, with bitcoin related stuff.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin crossed 520$... on: June 08, 2016, 06:37:21 PM
It goes beyond the halving. Its a collection of good news, solid progress being done by core devs, and the cherry on top to fuel the bull cycle is the halving.
706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going Up to 500? on: June 08, 2016, 06:35:42 PM
The problem is a lot of people here have been pessimists for a long time because of the big 2013 crash, so they are underrating the potential of Bitcoin's bull cycles. If only they knew we are going to go beyond 2000 this time..
707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Five digits on: June 08, 2016, 06:27:40 PM
Expecting it goes to 10.000 dollar just crazy, are you on drugs man! 1 Dollar could be 100 euro too looking at the 'market size', but that's not going to happen.
nor bitcoin going to 10k.

It is not crazy to imagine the bitcoin price to be $10000 in 2020. If we have 5 million active users, it is possible.

Again, active users don't matter. Does gold have 5 million people constantly paying for stuff with gold? exactly.
We just need a couple whales to get in and price goes beyond $10000 easy.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: June 08, 2016, 06:24:06 PM

Did anyone see this?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4n4vld/counterparty_announces_ethereum_virtual_machine/

As Bitcoin continues to rise and tech gets better and features added, ETH will be hardpressed to justify the existence of their token to be honest.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!! on: June 08, 2016, 06:18:33 PM
I can see ETH getting a couple dollars higher before it starts deflating, then again one might as well stay all in with BTC, less risky.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Within 10 years we will all own more than 21 Million Bitcoins each on: June 08, 2016, 06:17:14 PM
What are you talking about  Huh

I don't understand, this guy sometimes talks really weird shit.

OP, no, no one can own more than 21 million BTC, that is the hard coded limit, it's immutable (unless massive consensus was reached to change it, which will never happen since it would insta crash the price).
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we still say that BTC transactions are faster? on: June 08, 2016, 06:09:29 PM
Bitcoin is about decentralization and security, not speed.
If you want speed, wait for Lightning Network. Then we will have billions of transactions daily without no problems, so don't worry about it.

Wow, Lorylore sure can pump out those posts.

Check out this post from 6:12:38 am...

indeed, it is a very good business plan. however, it is also not easy as you need to have good security and good marketing skills. Otherwise, some casino that i have known end up closing cause too little people.

13 SECONDS TILL HE'S READY TO CLICK POST AGAIN!  13!!!

end up a lot of time, they became addicted and it is no longer just want to recover their losses cause it is too much to recover. they will just throw in hundred of dollars to gamble each time.

Did a little digging, figured out some of Lorylores other accounts.  3 of them are Hero accounts.
Lorylore = NamelessNames  = hua_hui =n691309

On the campaign spreadsheets Lorylore has betcoin username listed as "namelessname" and has had two different addresses listed.

lorylore   namelessname   14ohJQacYpBKxLfgrZHBST8u95ahx2ocV6

The 14ohJQ address is part of wallet [22a1a664fb]
16ijBeEWHty2MEwrdX8q9Zd7yg1SyEPWHVis also part of wallet [22a1a664fb]
Tx 6b95f56347805de8583268e97e117b0b58a449bf0572b6ecc5d1d7b9716ee79d proves that these two addresses are from the same wallet.

NamelessNames (Lorylores Betcoin username) is linked to the address here https://archive.is/qaqaT#selection-5799.0-5805.33

The same address is linked to another account here:

I am interested to join this campaign.

Would like to clarify that recently i didnt manage to post because most of the time, i am trying to reach out to my previous campaign manager regarding the late payment for a month long. I did not post anything cause i dont want to make hard for him to count otherwise it will snowball for him.

Also, in this scam accusation lorylore is involved in: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1113913.msg11822218#msg11822218 he links himself with 1HujfN1jHD3r6J2ByhqvDEuSEzbP15NpWK.  The very same address used by another account for another campaign:

When I tried to join this campaing, I was first rejected because of "negative trust" which quickly was proven to be a bullshit reason to not accept me, since I have untrusted negative feedback, only one time, and by a known troll to boot. I even had admins agreeing with me.

Then he resorted to my posts not being "what he was looking for", again, proven to be a bullshit excuse after 2 minutes of looking at members of the signature campaing. I also called out on that lory guy posting in broken english. I also didn't say that he didn't deserve a post, but im clearly a better poster than that guy, im knowledgeable on Bitcoin and have been on here for a long time, yet that guy deserves a spot and I don't. Go figure?

There's also some excuse about how I was not active before trying to join. This doesn't make sense. I stop posting for a couple of weeks before I try to join and that counts as not being active. I mean who cares if after joining the campaign I become active again? Some people have lives outside this forum, we take breaks.

Anyway, I gave up. There's no reasoning to be done with roslinpl.
713  Economy / Services / Re: ❃❃ ▶▷ BETCOIN.ag ◁◀ ❃❃#Signature Campaign-High Pay, Monthly Bonus, Special Award on: March 02, 2016, 01:28:09 PM
Hello,

thanks for your message. Indeed this Participant already received a message from me.
I request you to not to remove him from the campaign. If you do so then you will be feeding the trolls. The trust system is not made to diddle this way basing on your likes or dislikes while not considering anything said by other people.

Please ask them proof's for what they claim and i (and most of the other supporters) would not support that guy if it is proven that he is a paid shill.

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm very sorry but he already have 3 negative feedbacks. When there was one only I was willing to let him stay with us and help him to get back his trust rating back to normal.
Now when there are 3 neg and 0 positive I cannot let him participate with us.
Those ratings are not valid and are based on likes and believes. No body can force you to how to use your own money and i don't see any problem in that guy wasting his money over a hooker or on a risky game.

You should not support any of such trolls.

This guy didn't accept me on the campaign because I had 1 negative trust feedback from a troll. I already called him out in the past, even made a thread about it and I had mods saying that I was right. Guys like this (that don't accept you on their campaign because of stupid untrusted negative feedback) are feeding the trolls that send random untrusted negative feedback around. For some reason he can't understand this.
What's even funnier, judging by his own rules, he shouldn't be able to participate on the campaign for he has 1 untrusted negative feedback and apparently that's enough.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1322628.msg13548165

As you can see everyone thinks roslinpl politics to accept or not people in here are absolutely nonsensical. Guy is asking for actual trusted negative feedback doing this.
714  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Blocksize needs to be increased now. on: January 21, 2016, 04:31:47 PM

Because raising the blocksize to 8MB out of nowhere is way more risky than staying with 1 while we search for ways to scale Bitcoin properly (raising the blocksize will never properly scale Bitcoin, not without something like LN). We don't want datacenters running nodes, we want to be able to run nodes on a single computer, what's so hard to get about this? That's the real sabotage, centralized nodes.

Dude, the 8 MB limit is not each and ever block. If the cap is 8mb, and the current block size is 0.5 mb , then 0.5 mb blocks will circulate. The 8mb block is only the cap limit, not the default size.

Therefore the block structure won't really be destroyed, it's not like you have to reformat earlier blocks to all have the identical size. Even now block sizes vary so that's not an issue.

But what you are doing here is artificially not letting the block size go up, and when the limit is hit, then people will compete for the empty space, so the TX fee will massively go up, and most people cannot transact and the TX confirm time will go up.

That is the real sabotage.

The blocksize will go up anyway, the question is, will you let it go up naturally, or you plan to make bitcoin a communist centrally planned currency. I hope not.

Having a bunch of "free space" that's unused due the cap being too big brings a lot of problems and possible exploits. What centralizes Bitcoin is not being able to run a node in your computer, not the nonsense you are talking about. Bitcoin will never scale to worldwide levels by raising blocksize.

Honest newbie question: how rising block size prevents from running a node on regular PC?

If the blocksize is too big, you can't host the blockchain in your computer. Right now for example myself, if the blocks x2 by increasing to 2MB, im done with it, im not running a node, because I will run out of space. Like me, a lot of casual people running nodes will give up. This is why raising the block size right now is an act of stupidity, when we have segwit to deal with it, not to mention the actual risk of a hardfork. Anyone supporting bigger blocks now doesn't get it or has a certain agenda.
715  Other / Meta / Re: My Account In bitcointalk Was Hack on: January 21, 2016, 04:27:55 PM
Sorry to hear. A lot of cases like yours lately. But there's a lesson to be learned from this: Forget about altcoins, most of them are total scams and their developers are after your BTC. Unless the project is legit, don't risk getting infected in hopes to get a pump to dump for BTC later.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Jamie, you are right... on: January 21, 2016, 04:25:30 PM
Who's Jamie and why Bitcoin will eat his lunch? I don't get the joke and I don't know Jamie. You should be more explanatory when you open threads. Is he another "Bitcoin will fail" fudder? We have a lot of them here.
He is an enemy of Bitcoin, everyone that has a lot of power in the current system knows Bitcoin is a threat, so the want to crush it before its too late, this is why we must stick together and stick decentralized (stick with Core and not with some random people that hasn't been around since the beginning).
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apparently Chinese Mining Pools are sticking with Core! :) on: January 21, 2016, 04:22:54 PM
It is not surprising at all that Chinese miners would opt to go with Core. They all have 'here and now' mentality, they don't care much about bitcoin future, or growing the network adoption or consumer base.
Every solution increasing blocksize is not good for them because it will diminish theirs earnings.
This is stupid to be honest. You aren't looking at it the right way. Not wanting a block size increase now is precisely the correct long term vision, because you stick with a solid core until we have LN, then we don't need to raise block size again, unless the technology all over the world is advanced enough that everyone could run a node with their computer if you raised it.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 21, 2016, 04:20:51 PM
Im so used to Bitcoin now that whenever I have to use some payment processor like WU I get so pissed off at the insane fees. I don't get why some people here is complaining about fees and wants a bigger block size when it's as cheap as it gets and very fast too.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: January 21, 2016, 04:18:48 PM
A lot of people have been living on Bitcoin only for the past 4 years, ask if they think if Bitcoin si or isnt money. I think its pretty stupid to still be arguing if its or isn't money.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: January 21, 2016, 04:01:20 PM
Im holding because im scared of the geopolitical situation. Things are start to look really bad. The abolition of cash, worldwide financial crisis, stocks collapsing.. I want to have something that can remain outside out all of this.
