7041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 18, 2019, 02:21:25 AM
@TheNewAnon135246. No hehehe. He only hits like a Ford Escort according to Dana.

In any case, we do not know what kind of Cain is going in the octagon tomorrow. It might also be the no cardio version that fought Fabricio Werdum.

Not sure if anyone has beat him yet but Francis Ngannou has/had the world record for the hardest punch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC_t7h1JTls

I know, I was only joking hehehe. It was Dana who said that Francis Ngannou hits like a Ford Escort which Cain mocked and said that he was not impressed on the comparison.
7042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 18, 2019, 01:52:37 AM
@slocker. I reckon the FIA is serious to make the sport more exciting. It has allowed changes on the front and rear wings to reduce turbulence which affects the car behind. It has also allowed to widen the slot for the drag reduction system in rear wing to make it more effective. The maximum fuel allowed was also increased to make the drivers push for more speed instead of conserving fuel.

All those changes were decided to increase overtaking hehehe.
7043  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-17] Crypto Miner: The Next Bull Run Could Take Bitcoin Up To $700k on: February 18, 2019, 01:28:07 AM
"this just in: crypto investor thinks the price will go up!"

calling $74k-$740k is pretty reasonable though. lots of room for the unpredictable there. and after the 2017 run, it's more dangerous to bet against the bulls than with them. that's just based on conventional trading wisdom. keep betting the trend until it ends.

$74k to $740k hehehe? It might have sounded more credible if he did not make any prediction and only leave it for everyone to know that he's bullish for bitcoin's future.
7044  Economy / Speculation / Re: The American doomsday by Tom Lee on: February 18, 2019, 12:55:25 AM
Is the money in circulation ample enough to defend Tom Lee's prediction? The S&P 500, the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq are in their all time highs, I reckon the rally must end somewhere.
7045  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-14] Bitcoin Developers Propose Temporary Reduction of Block Size on: February 16, 2019, 03:37:13 AM
Another clickbait title from bitcoin news media combined with a boost for bcash hehehe. Also, this would not be unexpected if this is a paid article by bcash promoters.

The corruption in the cryptospace is everywhere.
7046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: February 16, 2019, 03:05:55 AM
Grin Coin has been listed and lively traded on Poloniex exchange, that is formerly the largest exchange around two years ago.
https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_grin
It's the welcome message from Poloniex for Grin coin.
Quote
Poloniex is excited to be one of the first major exchanges to host this much-anticipated new coin. Happy trading!
Any exchanges without KYC yet? They all seem to require submitting information I don't trust them to keep secure.

Bitmesh
Bitforex
I always thought Bitforex was KYC, I guess I have my list of exchanges I usually stick to.

they have KYC but unlike poloniex ($0.00 USD daily limit if no KYC), in those two exchange you can buy/sell, deposit/withdraw. although i don't know how much is allowed for no KYC accounts.

Also, Grin withdrawals are not yet enabled in Poloniex and the price is also trading higher than the exchanges that first listed it like Hotbit or Bitforex. I would avoid it.

@kingcolex. More people will want to mine and hold Grin in 25 years once it reaches a high level of adoption which it was designed to do and once inflation is under 5%.

Bitcoin's monetary policy incentivizes hoarding. This restrains adoption. Grin's monetary policy might push the price down in the next 25 or 30 years, however this encourages circulation of the coin and spending. This facilitates adoption.

I reckon its developers learned what's good and bad for a cryptocoin and copied the good parts.

This would not be practical to do in Monero unless it changes its monetary policy to be more similar to Grin or also Dogecoin. What would Monero's inflation rate be when all the coins are mined and tail emission enters? Less than 1%.

I reckon this incetivizes hoarding. Grin's monetary policy, however, is designed to be a currency.

What Monero's Ric Spagni Thinks About Privacy And Money

If you ask Riccardo Spagni–aka FluffyPony on Crypto Twitter–about who should invest in Monero, get ready for a pushback. “Monero's probably not an investment. It's designed to be a currency, and in particular it's designed to be a privacy-preserving currency.” says Spagni.

7049  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-14] JPMorgan Chase to Launch ‘JPM Coin,’ Using Crypto to Speed... on: February 15, 2019, 02:26:32 AM
This deserves to be the funny news of the day hehehe. That hypocrite has said that bitcoin is a fraud only because JP Morgan cannot control it. If it did, I would doubt that he would have the same opinion.

The article also mentioned that JPM Coin will initially focus on international settlements by major corporations, helping speed up transactions that currently take a day or longer using extant options such as SWIFT.

Are they developing another Ripple? Why not invest in Ripple the company? Is XRP in danger to be classified as an illegal security?
7050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 15, 2019, 01:52:18 AM
~
And Velasquez prolly still has the cardio to last the whole 5 rounds.  Ngannou really doesn't.
~

Those are my thoughts too. Velasquez can definitely do better in the long run. But I think we have to keep in mind that Ngannou has the hardest punch ever recorded

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6dblwcTi3Q

And those are not just some units. We can see from watching his fights that he's able to knock out his opponent with a single punch.

My prediction is, if Velasquez will manage to evade Ngannou's punches during the first couple of rounds, he'll win the fight.

Agreed. However, it might be better to assume that Francis Ngannou can or will also connect his punches in the 1st and 2nd rounds. The problem would now be how strong is Cain's chin?

Also, we do not know what kind of Cain is going inside the octagon. It might be the weak and rusty model hehehe.
7051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum Prediction and Info Thread on: February 15, 2019, 01:33:06 AM
It appears that Dana might have a new opportunity to create an exciting storyboard in the middleweight division. Chris Weidman has been tweeting that he was not impressed in Israel Adesanya's performance. He also said that he is overrated.

In any case, some UFC sportswriters have already made comparisons on Adesanya as a young Anderson. I reckon if Dana can organize a Chris vs Adesanya fight,  he should promote it as the revenge of Anderson hehehehe.
7052  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Never use Coinbase wallet's private key back up feature on: February 15, 2019, 12:49:13 AM
A good thing by the OP to notify other members about this. I myself won't support storing private keys for bitcoin wallets to be stored in any sort of online cloud service because if during an event of a cloud service getting hacked it would risk all the private keys and the bitcoins as well. According to me, notepads on personal phones and Macs are a way better way to store away private keys.

Are you trolling hehehe? It might only be a better way to store your private keys and seed words if your phone and Mac is offline all of the time and will never be connected to the internet.

Also, there are many guides in the internet on how to safely store them. The people might be lazy to do it, however.

7053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: February 14, 2019, 04:09:44 AM
What Floyd claims might also not be true. These are acts he plays to create a situation where he has the upperhand during negotiations for the fight versus Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd might be a good actor in his past life hehehe.
7054  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [2019-02-06] Locked bitcoins in QuadrigaCX might be another exit scam. on: February 14, 2019, 03:42:15 AM
A legit company will not authorize only one person to hold vital info and passwords.
He was the sole owner of the company, and everyone else who worked for it was his employer. As it is a private company 100% under his control, he can do whatever he wants with it. If he wants to hold all the logins, passwords, funds, private keys, and whatever else himself with no back ups, then he can. Is it stupid? Absolutely, but that doesn't stop him from doing it. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other exchanges out there with similarly stupid set ups for holding their users' funds.

That might be what the people behind the exit scam want. That we think they are stupid for having such a set up. It would be more stupid to accept it and let them get away with it without an investigation, I reckon.
7055  Economy / Exchanges / Never use Coinbase wallet's private key back up feature on: February 14, 2019, 03:24:46 AM
A big no was the first word that entered my mind after reading the first sentence of this article.

It will certainly be a public service for the community to tell everyone not to back up their private keys to any cloud storage platform service. I do not care how safe and secure they are.

Coinbase Wallet users will soon be able to back up their private keys on personal cloud storage platforms Google Drive and Apple’s iCloud. NO.

7056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2018-11-30: update to 0.12.7.0+ ASAP; 0.12.8.0 on Windows] on: February 14, 2019, 02:43:33 AM
What Asic friendly algorithm would you suggest, if the community decided that it wanted to embrace Asics?

I reckon it might be critical for Aeon's growth to be a more secure cryptocoin via hashrate. At least we can promote it as a more secure option than some of the top 50 cryptocoins hehehe.
7057  Economy / Speculation / Re: Technical analysts becoming bullish on bitcoin on: February 13, 2019, 04:02:47 AM
In any case, have we always been under Tom Lee's games? Was he selling when he was hyping his $25k prediction last year to fool everyone to buy while he was selling? Is he fooling everyone to buy along side of him today?

it's definitely possible. hell, if i were him i'd be tempted to do the same! it's perfectly legal to publicly hype your crypto investments, and i don't think someone like him is required to disclose anything at all. cryptocurrency isn't even subject to insider trading laws or anything like that---it comes with the mantra "caveat emptor"!

He might also be doing his $25k hype again to try to cause a dump so he can buy on $2k. Tom Lee might be beginning to use his bad image to reward himself and his fund hehehe. What a smart boy.

@smooth. What is your personal position on the issue of new round of Asics finding its way in Aeon again? Embrace them or follow Monero's hardfork to kill them?

7059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS and Ethereum might be pumped in China this year on: February 13, 2019, 02:33:21 AM
@bitcoin31. I do not know where you get your information from if you are under the impression that Ethereum has more potential hehe. I am not saying that EOS has more potential, however Ethereum has been very short of its promises.

Also, check the data on how many users use dapps in Ethereum. It is not that many.

7060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: February 13, 2019, 02:01:28 AM
@Cryprotourist. Agreed on the mini bull runs. However, Grin might always come down to near its bottom for the next 10 years after each pump because of the high inflation rate.

Unless, we see a miracle of demand similar to bitcoin hehehe.
