721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When it's all set and done, do not forget those in need. on: July 30, 2023, 10:03:38 AM
Before you say that I am talking trash, Bitcoin investment is like taking from some and feeding others, what this mean is someone is buying from you when you are dumping, it's like the world shape, it goes around.
You are not talking trash. Nevertheless, there is a need to remind you that there are 21million Bitcoins that was created. Currently, humans who mine Bitcoins have mined 19 million Bitcoins and there is left only 2 million BTC. Technically, when we buy Bitcoin it doesn't necessarily mean that we are buying from people who are "dumping it". Because even as I write this at least 800 bitcoins would be mined today.
Read it here - https://www.blockchain-council.org/cryptocurrency/how-many-bitcoins-are-left/

So instead of showing off how successful you have become always remember that you don't get there alone, it happened through the help of others that bought from you.
Not entirely correct

So try as much as possible to help those that are in need in your surroundings, or help others that are living far away from you, you can do this anonymously too if you think it's not safe, this is the right way to bring back into the community.
It is not compulsory. I think this is a moral obligation to always give back. Whether it is Bitcoin, stocks or any other investments. It is a moral human obligation.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin to pay everything online? on: July 30, 2023, 09:49:15 AM
Your question is if one can pay use Bitcoin to pay for everything online but then your analogy of paying for a banana on the go doesn't doesn't fit into the question.

Bitcoin is yet to have a 90% adoption rate so not everyone owns or accepts Bitcoin for online payment just yet. And even when it happens in the future not everyone would because some Mom &Pop stores will still be either stuck in the past and refuse to add a new payment option or outright don't want Bitcoin because they don't understand it.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and others urge AI pause, citing 'risks to society' on: July 29, 2023, 06:12:36 PM
This is clear hypocrisy. He was championing the course for halting and regulating the artificial intelligence sector now he has become a major player in the same industry. xAI will be headed by the South African billionaire and he claims that his new firm will make better AI products. He even joked that his firm will develop TruthGPT which will be better than OpenAI's ChatGPT. All these inventors are money-seeking individuals that only consider their pocket and ego.
Believe Elon Musk and his bunch of corporate executives at your own risks. They are the biggest hypocrites in existence. One minute he's speaking out against AI and gets a standing ovation because they think he is for them, next minute he is building a competitive AI driven product and tries to sound like what is doing is different from his competitors. It is all for the money and the shareholders.
724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 29, 2023, 05:59:51 PM
As newbie I'm of a suggestion that it's good to advocate time to learn bitcoin and its chart of market before investing in any part of cryptocurrency investment and bitcoin, as a new investors that want to make profit and don't want to experience losses in investment, we should know the values of coins either altcoins and otherwise before investing
It is good that newbies should have mentors , successful traders and not just anyone that they can big with their questions, confusions and frustrations about trading. This one above all should not be ignored. A newbie trader is like a lion cub without the pride, the cub wouldn't survive 2 days in the jungle. As a follow up to this, newbies should join trading communities with other traders but they should be extremely cautious and vet each of those groups thoroughly. They should immediately exit them of they smell a scam.
725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is AI in crypto a game-changer or just another hype? on: July 29, 2023, 05:22:44 PM
But the big question remains: Will these AI implementations truly deliver on their promises or will they become obsolete in the future, dismissed as mere trash?
Some will deliver on their promise and most won't. They'll fade or fail just as most do because they are trying to follow the trend and not create new innovation other than reinventing the wheel or copying and pasting other projects tech. In the future they will be advanced humanoid that are smarter and have a higher computational ability to make more accurate and precise trading predictions.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RFK Jr Says He Purchased Bitcoin For His Kids on: July 29, 2023, 04:56:57 PM
RFK has been on the news lately and he has been so vocal about Bitcoin. It is not unconnected to his presidential ambition and the dire need to have the Bitcoin community vote him as he would have noticed that we are growing rapidly. Whether the Bitcoin community in eventually decides to vote him in as a result of his being so vocal about his support for Bitcoinor not, what I can deduce from the news  is that it is going mutually beneficial outcome. Both sides win. He has give Bitcoin more publicity. If he doesn't win at least he would still have the bitcoins he bought which would increase in value.
727  Other / Archival / Re: How to manage bitcoin correctly? on: July 29, 2023, 04:40:45 PM
When BTC reached $69000. I didn't choose to sell it. but the current price of Bitcoin dropped to less than $30000. Is it the most reasonable choice to sell BTC now and turn your attention to other investments? I hope to get some good suggestions. Although I have held BTC for many years. I am not good at management.
I do not mean to sound like a motivational speaker but there is one of them that said, you are already in pain why not get a reward from it. Bitcoin halving is next year. What happens is that historically the price of Bitcoin increases. This is the expectations for the next halving. Whatever your Bitcoin you have in your wallet is worth now, it would increase in value after the halving. The summary of the message I am trying to pass across to you is that you should have some patience. If after the halving you still feel like selling it off, godspeed.
728  Economy / Economics / Re: Population: Economic strength or weakness on: July 28, 2023, 11:45:56 PM
It could be a strength or a weakness . It is determined by the environment. China is one of the most populous countries on earth yet technologically they are ahead, they don suffer from hunger or starvation. They have a very low crime rate and have managed to fight off corruption in their country.  The same thing cannot be said of India for instance. India still struggles with systematic corruption, pollution and inability to Carter for the needs of her citizenry. I think that China is the model country for other countries who need to learn about population growth and expansion can take a lead from.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 28, 2023, 11:27:09 PM
I like the idea of cartoons and kids learning about BTC from them, but rewarding them for watching an episode? I think that’s really bad. They either watch something they like or they won’t care about the episodes anyway if they watch something they don’t want to.
The ideas of cartoons sounds great and my friend uses that but he gets to mix it with the regular ones just to make the kids not feel like they are being punished by being compelled to watch something they don't. Another way to teach kids about Bitcoin is through coloring books or puzzle books  bitcoins. They books are highly colourful, engaging and stimulating. However the kids need a parent or guardian around to ensure that they are actively involved in the learning.
730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for newbies on: July 27, 2023, 11:59:29 PM
My best advice for newbies is to understand the importance of a good foundation and learning momentum trading. Everyone has a weakness, and you must identify your weakness, or it will wreak you. Most important your target at the start should be to develope a trading method which is essential to avoid overtrading. If you are able to develop some competence the rewards, you'll reap will be profits. Any day you are experience stress in trading you need to look at your trading psychology and be able to know how to manage your emotions.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 27, 2023, 11:44:35 PM
This days lot of bitcoiners are scared of introducing bitcoin to people because of they  do not want to be blame if the investment ends bad. Most people have lost good relationships with family and friends all because of introduction to financial investment with no profit and this made them to take a serious decision never to make any introduction about money to anybody again.  As for me I'll always introduce bitcoin to people because it is money, people needs money for better life.  It is my duty to tell about bitcoin to people and it is their decision to invest in it.

Because of the risk that is in bitcoin it won't stop me from telling people about bitcoin which will better their life if they found it interesting.
Best of luck man.
Hoping that the people you introduce to bitcoin get the reality of what it is and not accept with the expectation that their life's problem will end as a result of investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin is for everyone. I don't know how you introduce them to bitcoin but you should go more than talking to them about it orally and finding out how each of them that shows interest would like to know about bitcoin. When you do, get them the resources that will help them understand the fundamentals quickly.
732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid and identify scams? on: July 26, 2023, 03:31:44 PM
Am not much familiar with cryptocurrency, and that's why I need more guidance so that if eventual I see one, I will know how to handle it, this will help me to have a good knowledge on the path to settle for.
There are too many scam projects out there that if you have been in t he cryptocurrency space for long you will be able to either identify based on the type of people promotion them, their media outreach and reviews.

People who are promotion scam projects don't change they only rebrand themselves. They move from one scam project whose cover has been blown to another scam project where they think newbies may not know them.

Their media out reach... characterized by slow and most times they are either unresponsive or unreachable. So of you have questions to ask about the project no one can give you any concrete answers.

The reviews... If you watch closely you'd see that experienced people in the crypto space have warned other to desist from investing in the project.
733  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 26, 2023, 03:16:32 PM
I am not saying this on any authority but I would say that Twitter is heading to "extinction". With all that is happening I'd have to question any investor who either still have confidence in Twitter stocks or who is yet to sell of their stock.
And this is all the fault of Elon Musk who is running Twitter like a dictator or solopreneur. I am utterly disappointed. The reason why people are still on the app is because they are thinking about how they'll get their followers if they move to another app. I predict that in the next 5 years, Twitter will either close down or be sold of to another company.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 26, 2023, 10:32:26 AM

If you have land, you have the chance to grow many vegetables. If you don't know how to grow vegetables, you can use YouTube.
YouTube is a valuable resource for those who don't know how to grow vegetables. Even without a land, an individual can still grow vegetables in an old bathtub, a bucket or a crate. The person do not need any too fancy, just with the right soil type, you are good to go.

Quote
If you don't have land, it is usually easier to store legumes. This is what I did during the pandemic. They have a long storage life and are filling.
Agree with this point. Legumes and grains have long shelf life but depends on how it is package and where it is stored. A Ziploc bag is great for packaging legumes and grains. And they should of course be stored in a cool dry place without insects.

Before storing anything for survival what is important than all is ensuring that the storage place has zero rodents, insects and moisture. Proper fumigation should be done.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 09:59:15 AM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?
The question should be, "Will I teach him for free?" No, I won't. Secondly, just because he is into drugs doesn't mean his purpose for wanting to learn about bitcoin is to use it for doing drugs. What if life circumstances forced him into it, and learning about bitcoin is the only alternative to leaving the drug business?

50 Cent did drugs but left and started making music. Do you think that if Dr. Dre had said, "No, I won't give you a chance because you are into drugs and gangs," he would have become a celebrity? I don't think so. There's nothing wrong with teaching your neighbor. He may just want a better life for himself, and Bitcoin may rightly be what would offer him that freedom.

736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 26, 2023, 07:00:12 AM
What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.
Nothing. I would walk away even if money was involved. I have seen someone die from a sucker punch during a heated argument over money. If a fellow gambler and friend tries to play a fast on me because I used his account for betting and her won, I would walk away. There are several other subtle ways of getting me money back from him even without their knowledge. Sun Tzu in his book the Art of War said something similar to that the best victories are the ones fought without any bloodshed and in this case without a fist fight.

740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 23, 2023, 12:37:02 PM
The OP should take it easy. We all tire of all the advice and counsels and appeals. Any serious person should be able to take responsibility for their Bitcoin holding and since you are not in the plans of every individual you cannot tell them whether they should invest before institutional investors or not.

Some people who are outliers would are waiting for institutional investors to adopt Bitcoin before they make their move. For them it is not about whether they small investor and it certainly not about the price of Bitcoin.
