7301  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: July 22, 2019, 01:16:45 PM
At the moment, izooomrud account is fully unblocked. He can withdraw or sell his funds.
Looks a great initiative to end the drama, or at least help things cool down.
One more thing: I think you should claim that a new signature campaign run by @Livecoin Manager (just assume it is a new one from Livecoin) is an official campaign from Livecoin. There is drama that it is run by scammers, whom are not from Livecoin team. I don't think Livecoin exchange need another drama.
7302  Other / Meta / Re: Calling The Attention of BTT Moderators Towards a Ban on: July 22, 2019, 01:08:04 PM
Wth, I've always used abbreviations like BTT.
Sure! People can use whichever abbreviation they want. It is an endless discussion.  Tongue

Four months ago, there was a poll to choose which abbreviation should be used to call bitcointalk.org forum. You can check it here, if you have time: [POLL] BTT - BCT - BTCT?.
In short, there are different perspective, people supports BTT, BCT, BTCT, but there are actually a considerable proportion of supporters for the full name: bitcointalk.org.
Additionally, inside Flag Box, theymos used the term 'Bitcointalk.org' too.

Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they strongly believe that the creator of this topic is a scammer. (Check their trust page to see the detailed trust ratings.) While the bitcointalk.org administration does not verify such claims, you should proceed with extreme caution.

For beginners,
Read first, before doing anything else.
There are lots of things that beginners have to read in order to prepare enough basics for their time in the forum, and in crypto.

Binance don't ask for KYCs if your withdrawals don't exceed 2 bitcoin per day. Here you go: https://www.binance.com/

I see you're on your way to Hero status!
Although they say not to ask excessively, would you consider blessing me with a single merit point, in appreciation of your progress to Sr. status and in anticipation of your projected furthering of seniority?   Grin
Thanks for your time.
I am not a merit-earning beast, but you can read my guide here: Promotion with merit system and new rank requirements. It's possible.
Inspirational stories from self-made promoted users

Lastly, based on your post history, if you keep posting that way, you will never get a single merit, I believe. Read stories, learn from them, improve your post quality, and wait for your first merits.

Theymos is slave to the community. His todo list could be made public for all the forum to do. Distributed work is done faster with more nodes.
Theymos' todo list can be found there:
Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them)
Sometimes, theymos run contests to improve the forum, but it is not too often. The forum has nearly one-person-coded by theymos.
The Epochtalk forum, the new forum software has been here for too long, but there are limited developers help to test it. I don't think we should ask for more public sources if don't join and help the new forum software testing procedure. I am sorry but I am not a developer, so I can not join it, but if you or anyone else can and have spare time, you all should do it.

For Milkyway101,

The thread title is incorrect, somehow, because the forum is bitcointalk.org, and you should call it only as bitcointalk.org. Or if the title has limited characters for you, you should call it as the forum, then everyone will know you actually implied about bitcointalk.org. There are bunches of fake sites that clone the forum and try to steal accounts of forum users, and more valuable related things.
I don't remember, but theymos at somewhere, wrote clearly that it is bitcointalk.org forum, not bitcointalk, BTT, BCT, BTCT, whatsoever.
I found it, there:
Welcome to bitcointalk.org, the Bitcoin Forum!

For shortened links, you can check them using the website: https://redirectdetective.com/
Or you can add a plus symbol (+) at the end of links to move to pages at which you can get final destination pages by redirect links.

For suspicious phishing links, you can check links by scrolling computer mouse above the link, then you will see link at the bottom of the web browser (right or left, it depends on browsers, but mostly on the left bottom). You can check this by scrolling computer mouse on the link to my post.
7311  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: July 21, 2019, 05:32:33 AM
Bitcoin prices gave us a termpory boost as it’s come down again to $10600 on preev, though this volatility is normal but I do hope in coming days it tries to reach $13k again. The market is yet volatile I don’t think that we’re witnessing stable prices yet as bitcoin prices seems to be stuck in $10k - $11k range. I’m currently waiting for bitcoin prices to rise then I can use less Satoshis to bet with, so currently I’m not gambling but it’ll be interesting to read other people’s strategies and learn from them.
I am happy to see bitcoin moves up, but I don't think that Bitcoin will hit $13,000 soon. Bitcoin, in reality, has been on its re-consolidation phase, that will take a lot of time to finish. In my opinion, Bitcoin might have serious movements in the end days of this month, before more positive ones might occur in early days within first two weeks of August. Retesting the range around $9,000 or even below it a little bit is a possible scenario.

7313  Other / Archival / Re: My Bitcointalk Forum, BTC Story. on: July 21, 2019, 05:24:34 AM
Because there are overlaps inside the @wwzsocki's story, including his journey in real life and with bitcoin & blockchain technology. On the other hand, the story tells about his journey with merit system, from Senior Member rank to Hero Member rank now. That's is the main reason why the thread can be fitted with Meta board.
For other stories, for example, solely tell about rank achievements with merit system's challenges, I still think they are more fitted with the Beginners & Help board. Not sure, but I kept my story in that board, not in Meta.
Promotion with merit system and new rank requirements. It's possible.
Most of other stories are in Beginners & Help board, too: Inspirational stories from self-made promoted users

Any ideas (hope that I am not wrong with it)?
7314  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: July 21, 2019, 05:15:25 AM
I was Hero member when merit was introduced (1.5 year ago), I feel very happy because with today's date I have received 1000 merits which made me, like some users like to say, "self-made legendary member".
I am a self-made Senior Member, and I actually started as a Junior Member with merit system. Now, I have been on my way to your beginning rank, Hero Member, and I am proud of myself that I am not too far to that target. I achieved more than 80% of merit requirement for that next rank.

I am not sure about you, but based on your posts and contribution in ANN threads of Stake.com and PrimeDice, I believe you are from team of Stake.com and PrimeDice. Hence, I have a recommendation for you, and two teams, that you should spend a little time to consider.
I think teams should announce in both threads that there are some core members of two sites posted in those threads: Stunna, SteveStake, and Symphonized  (if you actually are one of the team members). I suggest this  because I believe it will be helpful for new visitors, help them to know which accounts will spread official information for them, and stay away from potential scammers. How about this?
7316  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Playbetr.com🔥The Crypto Casino Sportsbook LIVE Dice 14 Coins-BTC ETH XMR+🔥 on: July 20, 2019, 04:56:03 PM
We now have 15 coins with the addition of BCHSV Bitcoin Cash SV.  We are seeing an increasing number of players use their mobile phones for both casino and sportsbook play and we will continue to improve both displays as well as a forthcoming mobile app.
The more good coins (with some good features, like fast transaction speed, and cheap transaction fees) added, the more convenience the PlayBetr site will give gamblers. It is amazingly and interestingly to see such a young casino like PlayBetr added 15 coins in total on their platform, that is much more than other old casinos. It means the approach (expansion more acceptable coins on the site) might help the site become bigger. Consequently, current gamblers will stick playing on the site, and new gamblers might join the PlayBetr to play.

ABSTRACT

Intra-day merits:
Notes:
- The part of the asbstract describes figures of intraday merits over the period from 19/2/2018 to 15/7/2019 (truncated dataset);
- Days from 24/1/2018 to 18/2/2018 truncated due to highly potential outliers; and days after 15/7/2019 truncated as well due to incomplete week (the 2019w29);
- Statistics presented in the post are for truncated dataset

(1) Potential outliers are days that have intraday total merits beyond 186 or 1104;
(2) Median of intraday merits over the period is 637;
(3) 50% of observed days have their intra-day merits range from 530 to 760 (the interquartile range);
(4) Friday [in GTM time] is the day over weeks has lowest intraday merits in terms of both median and mean, at 571, and 608, respectively.
(5) Monday [in GTM time] is the day over weeks has highest intraday merits in terms of median and mean, at 681, and 740.
(6) There are 29 potential outliers in total, and there is only five potential outlier days happened in early weeks of 2019, on 09/01/2019, 14/01/2019, 27/3/2019, 13/5/2019, and 11/6/2019, at 1161, 1127, 1249, 1150, and 1187, respectively.
(7) Minimum and maximum of intraday merits (full dataset) are 312 and 13018, on 11/2/2019 and 24/1/2018, respectively.

Intra-week merits:
Notes:
The part of the abstract use full dataset, only dropped last two days due to incomple week (2019w29).

(1)   The median of intra-week merits is 4527;
(2)   50% of observed weeks (77 weeeks in total), have total merits in the range from 4159 to 5259 (the interquaritle range of intra-week merits).
(3)   Minimum and maximum of intraweek merits are 3065 and 30949, in 2018w35, and 2018w4, respectively;
(4)   Ten potential outliers [beyond 2509 or 6909], all of them occurred in the year 2018.

Time series plot

Basic statistics:
- 50% of observed weeks (77 weeks) have total intra-week merits above 4527, whilst the rest 50% of them have total intra-week merits below 4527. 4527 is the median - p50.
- 50% of observed weeks have total intra-week merits fluctuated in the range from 4159 to 5259 (the interquartile range, from p25 to p75, in raw statistics below).
- Min - max: 3065 - 30949.

Code:
. tabstat merit, s(n mean sd p50 p25 p75 min max)

    variable |         N      mean        sd       p50       p25       p75       min       max

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Potential outliers:
Code:
. di 5259-4159
1100

. di 1100*1.5
1650

. di 5259+1650
6909

. di 4159-1650
2509
It means that potential outliers are weeks that have intra-week merits beyond 2509 or 6909.
How many weeks are potential outliers?
Code:
. count if (merit >= 6909 | merit < 2509) & merit != .
  10
10 weeks are outliers, in total.
List of those ten weeks:
Code:
. list merit week if merit >=6909 | merit <= 2509
