I don't know why you included address 3GwTPjGUHsRGqBAnqqdjmX8GrQN4ASoJH7 in your post, but not in your signed message.
Let me guess a bit. Maybe he wanted to stake one address to secure account, and use another address for his transactions. However, both two addresses likely new ones, because they have not had even only one transaction so far. 3GwTPjGUHsRGqBAnqqdjmX8GrQN4ASoJH7 1K4CMazSr5V3MfcbVpC4gRhFW9JfJBpe4d I recommend he to stake all two addresses, it is only better, not worse for his account security.

Agreed. Typing the forum name of forum as bitcointalk.org forum, rather than any acronym or simply bitcointalk forum. Because who knows in the future, crypto world might have bitcointalk.com, bitcointalk.ca, and some others similar sites. I've mostly used BCT, though (while some may dislike it) I do think BTT rolls off the tongue pretty well (as well as being more distinct, at least when comparing it to the Bitcoin ticker symbol (BTC)). IMO BTCT is a bit too long of an acronym - once I've typed out more than 3 letters, I might as well type out the forum name in full.
Some opinions. From what I've seen, "BTT" is only used by clueless bounty spammers. Real users refer to the site as BCT or just Bitcointalk if you're not too lazy to type Honestly, I have read some bounty topic, that mentioned about BTT, or even in telegram or Discord channels. At that time, around more than one year ago, I did not know what it means, honestly. As @LoyceV pointed out, it tend to be used as BTT by lazy scammers, who even don't care which kind of forum they join to spread their scam projects out. One more thing, when abbreviation BCT use, we should use it as BCT forum to avoid misunderstanding with any kind of tokens, altcoins launched later. Real crypto enthusiasts will easily known what BCT forum means.
It should be the best if we mention the forum as bitcointalk, the original, full name of it. If someone are lazy to type down its full name, and if I have to make a vote, I will choose: Bitcointalk forum, abbreviated as BCT forum. I would prefer to spend a second to add the word 'forum' at the end. In the future, there will be something, digital assets, or sites, or stocks, etc. that have its abbreviation, ticker as BCT, BCTT, BTT, so adding the word 'forum' at the end, after the abbreviation always make sense.
In short, I voted for: BitCoinTalk forum ~ BCT forum.
We need the word 'forum' behind because for people who see or hear about the forum the first time, they don't know that bitcointalk.org is a forum. So, without the word 'forum', they might guess that it is a site, a marketplace, or something different than a forum.
To sum up, the best option (in my opinion) to write or call the forum is: Bitcointalk.org forum.

The basic technical charateristic of all mobile devices is those devices have worse, and less effectively heat-ventilation and heat-radiator. And, the characteristic is one of main reasons that will put mobile devices under higher risks of damages. And, mobile devices tend to have shorter lifespan. So, I agreed that never should use mobile devices to mine or stake cryptos if you have rigs. In the case you don't have rigs, you should use money to invest in crypto, rather than invest into new mobile devices (when your devices damaged and broken later).

This should not be treated as a intentional paralyzing attempt and if everything is handled case by case in paralyzing as stated by Theymos this should have been overseen as not an financially motivated paralzism.
I would support for an upliftment of the ban.
I remembered that you found post of Limx Dev years ago, that copied and pasted, without source. I like what Limx Dev did with his project, and really hope he can come back. But, if it is the case that lead to return of Limx Dev, with ban-unlift, so I guess others might complaint. Why someone get ban-unlift with case-by-case handle, whilst others don't get it. So, how to explain about it? I just curious (still support the come-back of Limx Dev).
By the way, in which cases users will get signature ban for 1 year, 2 years, rather than perma bans? Which kind of rule violations will cause punishments with year-long signature bans? Thank you.

Amount of EARNED merit in the last 120 days: 40-50. I am on mobile and can't count them properly Manually counting them, nope, you don't have to do that, fella. There is a tool for you to get them, automatically, giving by @Vod. https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=Trofo&from=&start=11/27/18&end=&min=&max=Please replacing the starting point of your wanted 120-day period. In the example above, I set the start day on 27/11/2018. So, you received 38 merits during last 120 days, not 40 or 50 ones. Additionally, you can see the flow of your received merits over time, with help from @LoyceV's tool. Replace your user ID, or ID of others you want to draw merit plots for them. Each column (bar) shows 5-day earned merits. Your chart shows there is almost no spike of earned merits over time. You are likely a very stable guy in terms of collecting merits. @tbct_mt2 created a topic there: Tools for managers to check quality of posts (both merited & unmerited posts)

I known the reasons behind KYC requirements the forced exchanges to do by governments. They wanted to control flows of money, taxes, and so on. But, it is the fact, and we have to accept that fact, no one can fight against governments even KYC violates core ideas of blockchain technology and decentralization. That may be a trend. But not a good one. The goal of Bitcoin and crypto currencies was to create an independent free elite-less money system. With all the regulation you give this up and become dependent again on exactly those you wanted to fight.
Mainly due to the reasons above, but in some cases KYCs might be helpful for investors, who don't have enough skills to protect their own money and store them all on exchanges, give exchanges fully control of their money. Just maybe a little bit better for them, and reduce their losses in bad situation with scam exchanges. Identifying scammers is just an excuse. The point is to keep the money flows or value flows under control. In my opinion, those who support KYC and AMLs hurt crypto currencies.

It is the trend for now, and for future. Authorities will require KYC on crypto exchanges, and it will happen around the globe, sooner or later. Regulation in Russia is not yet ready. I think it's good that no personal information is needed for verification, as such centralized exchanges have become rare.
In my opinion, KYC is not too bad way to help investors better to catch scammers if something seriously wrong with crypto exchanges. Yeah, the fact is when scam exits occur, it is hard for police, local authorities to investigate, then catch scammers and get part of stolen money from them, and give those money back to investors. It's the fact, but KYCs might help somehow. However, I would only trade small amounts there. The cxchange can disappear overnight and there are no opportunities to do anything in Russia - unlike, for example, in New Zealand with the Cryptopia case.
The key lesson is should not store all your money on exchanges due to risk to lose all your money from exchanges' hacks, or scam exits. So stay careful and trade only small amounts you can lose and do not save XEM there in the longer term.

I checked the topic again, there are links to original articles at the bottom, but I don't remember that hours ago, there were links to the articles or not (maybe not, if I remembered well). If links posted hours ago, it is fine and don't violate plagiarism. So, if it is just copy and & paste with links to original articles, there is no reason to give merits to that topic.

You know what this forum needs? A battle royale mode of some sorts Stimulated by the topic of Hhampuz, theymos will replace all avatars and signatures in the forum with images of porn-stars and signatures from porn sites. Forum users will have chance to enjoy it only 24 hours. As most of you probably know by now, I like to listen to the community before I do anything definitive.
I've been approached about a pornsite who may want me to run a Signature Campaign here at Bitcointalk. Now there's nothing illegal with legit porn sites and as far as I know there's nothing against promoting such sites here either but I'd still like to hear what you guys think about it, would people apply? (With good payrates people don't seem to care what they advertise but still). If anything would come up that they've been doing some shennanigans later on, could I get in trouble for marketig it here? Should I consider it in any way immoral to promote pornographic content here?
Feel free to discuss, I'd prefer it to be on topic and without multiple posts about "Your campaign, your decision" etc. One post is enough and different opinions are always welcome.
I found the image today, so theymos might announce the first merit rain drops in the forum on 1st April 2019. Why not? Merit rain drop hunters will give theymos around of applause.

It would be more better if you add a warning/disclaimer on signature about adult or 18+. So people's will aware before click the link that they are going to visit porno/18+ website from signature.
Warnings or disclaimers are necessary as we all see on cigarette boxes or violent videos on Youtube, etc. Therefore, it is required for sure. However, the fact is such warnings/ disclaimers tend to increase the attention of readers, visitors. One of basic human charateristics is curiosity, and they tend to find out which prohibited/ warned.

I think the only thing you can do about that is to simply state in the campaign requirements that you have the rights to not accept certain applicants regardless if they meet all the requirements; and simply just accept the ones that you think are legitimate users who don't abuse the merit system.
It is the basic fact. Campaign managers are responsible to choose participants for their campaigns, so I don't think it is the one should be added to campaigns' rules. Participants apply, and their applications will be taken into consideration if they satisfy including criteria and not violate excluding criteria of campaigns. After that, get acceptance or not depends on the screening procedure of managers, who will check their post quality, trust points, and more things.

The forum, with supports from merit system, and good managers, has jumped into new era, in which there is very less chance for shitty higher rank users get acceptance to join serios, high paid campaigns. The era of self-made high rank users has started, and they will dominate serious, high paid campaigns soon.
Why not counted? Merits born as one of tools to measure the level of constructive in the forum. So, whenever posts/ topics received 'true' merits for its contributions, it's good. Your suggestion is likely that 'real constructive' posts/ topics that received merits after campaigns announcements will automatically turn into un-constructive ones. Let's look further a bit. Such merited posts/ topics are unconstructive in one campaign, but will turn into constructive ones in others campaign (that announced mins/ hours later). It sounds a bit weird, and unlogical here, right? Most simplest solution that I can suggest you to change the requirement as below.
"You have earned "X" amount of merit in last 120 days but merits gained after publication of this OP will not be counted "
I still have not found theymos' post, gave up for now. By the way, I also remembered @LoyceV stated somewhere that newbies with 1 earned merit is more interesting than a Legendary without a single earned merit.

It is a really good indicator for merit abusements. However, it is just early indicator and does not make sure that those cases are really merit abusers. Reasons: - If those merited posts/ topics are really constructive, there is no reason to say they are merit abusers, even their latest merits earned come to their accounts few mins before they made applications. Personally, I experienced myself that sometimes merits come to me in a row, with large amount, sometimes I have to wait for days, or weeks to get my next merit (huge gaps between two merits received). - If those merited posts/ topics on which they have additional merits to satisfy your campaigns' requirements are bad posts/ topics, it might be a merit abusements. However, in such cases, for small merit abusements, @theymos stated months ago, maybe early days after merit system activation in 2018, that insignificant merit abusers should not be tagged, because those ones will run out of merits sooner or later.
To sum up, if you find those insignificant merit abusers applied to your campaign, simply Ingore their applications. That's all, in my opinion at this point. I have people applying in my Campaigns and when I go to check their merit received I can see that they just received enough merit to hit the requirement, in some cases it was done just minutes before they apply. Now, this is probably merit abuse as I don't buy that it happens as a coincidence.

You maybe right for now, but in the future it might change. When African crypto enthusiasts have better knowledge, experience, and of course better skills, both technical and scam skills (LOL), your statement might not be right anymore. Fortunately, time will help investors become more knowledgeable, and with their own experience, precious lessons in crypto for years (losses, invest in scam projects, for example), they might become smarter and more carefully with their investment. Consequently, over time, scam projects will harder to get succeed. Anyway, in other side, scammers always find out ways to adapt and make more complicated scam projects. It would surprise you if you carryout some research, the most professional scammers are Asians they were in charge of all the ico scam am not sure we have Africans with enough blockchain experience to run a successful scam.

Nope, everybody should be named Thermos!!!!!
Thermos, what does it mean? I am non-native English speaker, I don't know what it means. Search result shows like this: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/vi/dictionary/english/thermosa brand name for a special container that keeps drinks hot or cold
I still have not understood the meanings of Thermos in your post.
Theymos saw all forum users like him years ago, when he was a noob, not an admin, in the forum. To be honest with you @cabalism13, if I have not been in campaign, I would have worn the image as my avatar.
