many accounts reactivated to join the Yobit campaign and start spamming.
With the serious response from theymos on Yobit campaign, I thought that we might have new unofficial rule on campaigns the potentially cause spamming in the forum: (1) Participants will get different temp bans: depend on total bad reports on their works during specific period (7 days, for instance), and percentage of good (exact) reports on their posts. (2) Temp ban on signatures of those companies: 60 days (for Yobit), but the period of signature temp ban might be discussed and should have 3 or 4 levels, like what we have with the forum account's temp ban: 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, and last one is perm ban. (3) Temp ban of signature on campaign managers whom run spamming campaigns and keep running them after get warnings from admin, staffs, DT members. It means they won't be able to advertise their campaign management roles via their signatures. |

Some factors affected bitcointalk.org's traffic:
(1) Bitcoin stagnation
(2) Merit system (launched in January of 2018).
(3) Banned and nuked accounts increased
(4) Some prominent altcoins built their own forums.
(1) Bitcoin stagnation results in less attraction on new investors, and old investors even don't care to visit forum, or less regularly visit the forum. In addition, such stagnation of bitcoin leads to less profits, or negative income from mining, so miners less regularly visited the forum.
(2) Merit system: help to wipe out spammers and bounty hunters, so they left the forum.
(3) Due to forum members contributions (topics, reports), more accounts get banned, or nuked.

Time gap between posts is one of factor can maintain post quality. It's not always right, but it help to reduce spamming speed, and somehow might maintain post quality at a fixed level. When people don't hurry to spam (due to required time gap between posts), they might spend more time to brainstorm before posting.

Hi, Because you have really good data scraping skills, so would you mind spending your time to make a statistical analyses on some figures of those merit source applications: (1) Mean or median of total merits earned in the OP, all time. (2) Mean or median of total merits earned in the OP, within first 24 hours or first 7 days
Weeks ago, I mentioned about it, but I did not say it directly. Can I express my opinion in opposite side?  Merit source applications are always good, because, to be qualifying enough to made application and got attention, consideration from @theymos, applicants have to choose ten high quality topics. So, they have to spend time, to find, collect, and present them into their applications. Is it good or bad? It is obviously good, because some of those topics have not listed or mentioned in any list before they collected and presented in merit source applicatioins. No matter result of application is, got accepted or rejected, it is only good for community. One more thing, spammers should and could not apply to be a merit source. Maybe I missed something, but I have never seen spammers applied to be merit sources.  Consequently, each batch of ten-chosen-topics in Merit Source Applications are usually good topics. |

because the price of ETH kept declining and this makes many people lose hope on the ETH coin whether it will increase or not.
Whenever most of investors lose their hope, and start to sell off their coins, coins will start to recover. Ethereum, might raise more than $500, but I only set my profit-taking price at $500. Taking profits at that price (if ETH reach it), then I will wait for next chances to invest in ETH again. Two rounds of investments at $150 and taking profits at $550 might have equal profits as only one investment which wait for taking profits at $1000 from the entry point at $150. |

Ethereum might, or might not, who knows? Honestly, I don't have much hope that ETH will hit $1000. It is good for all of us (who invest in ETH) to see the coin hit that price, but it won't turn into bad one if ETH only rise to $300 or $400. It's enough for me, and it is my target price to take profit. It's nearly the same for bitcoin, I won't hope bitcoin will reach $19000 again, I only wait for $10000. That's enough. |

I fully agree with you. For the sake of experiment, a year and a half ago I kept a coin and just watched it grow. The roadmap promised quarterly capitalization. Yes, there is a capitalization, but the value of the coin decreased by 2 orders of magnitude! This is a lot, my entire contribution almost burned down, and now it is not an experiment, but simply a sports interest. And alas, this practice is observed with almost all coins.
Ethereum, years ago, brought a big innovation to crypto, so we can hope that it once again, will make a breaking for Proof-of stakeable coins. We mostly saw proof-of-stake coins have their prices drops gradually after switching to stake phase, but Ethereum is a giant in crypto, and it might make a big difference for us. DASH, so far failed in this aspect, so let's see what will happen when ETH activates PoS. |

Note that you should create a free account on the site in order to have some additional features, for free. However, I always recommend to use professional softwares. It's ridiculous to save small amount of money by using free sites, with less powerful protection for your assets, then eventually your fortune get stolen by bad guys.

Not only Bitcoin Cash, but also others Bitcoin-prefixed name-calling coins are fake bitcoins. They are only other altcoins, simply abuse the bitcoin-prefix to steal money for crypto investors, whom don't determinantly enough to stick with official bitcoin.
For me, in crypto, there is only one bitcoin, with the ticker BTC (BTC). It is an unique bitcoin.
