7781  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk's April Fool Joke 2020 Discussion on: April 02, 2019, 12:05:14 PM
- New rank requirements implement and all users will be resetted their ranks.
- Ranks will be only determined by activites that in turn only count for posts in the child board, Bounties (Altcoins)
- Users who don't have a single post in Bounties (Altcoins) will be demoted to Brandnew.
- Merits will have only one use case, to buy bitcointalk souvenirs.
7782  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk's April Fool Joke 2020 Discussion on: April 02, 2019, 11:15:26 AM
What I expect for the next one in 2020 is announcement from theymos that he will shut the forum down, and won't move to Epochtalk or anywhere else.
However, I think it is very soon to discuss about the event that might occur next year.
theymos might  not do anything next year, but I don't know and I don't have enough experience in the forum (just more than one year).
I only experienced two April Fool Jokes (in 2018 and this year).
7783  Other / Meta / Re: Tip to the posters: You don't need to purposely make your replies longer on: April 02, 2019, 11:10:59 AM
Personally, topic sentence is the most important thing that posters should keep in minds whenever they start writing down a post.
Long or shot, it does not matter because each person has special way to express their ideas via writing them down.
It's personal style, however writers should follow some fundmental things:
(1) Coherence
(2) Cohesion
(3) They should write the topic sentence for their post first, especially if they have intention to write medium or long discussion with their posts.
From topic sentence, they can easily expand their ideas. Topic sentence is very important to help readers catch the main ideas of writers. They can catch it at the first sentences of posts (usually the first to third sentences).
7784  Other / Meta / Re: The new Thermos 2.0 Bitcoin Wallet is finally out on: April 02, 2019, 11:06:05 AM
It is enclosed in a water resistant steel housing and has been reported to work when sending bitcoins while free diving on the coasts of Spain.
Time to get serious now so I will stop with the jokes.
Good time to stop because theymos refunded to all users who sent smerits to souvenir shops for their orders yesterday.
It's time to lock the topic to avoid spammers joined and get their post quota.
7785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Newbies please read Services' / Bounties' topic tittle before applying on: April 01, 2019, 02:50:25 PM
Good campaigns managed by good managers are usually not a first come first serve campaign.
So, such lazy bounty hunters do non-sense applications.
They act fast with their applications, but managers might just glance at those applications in mili seconds, and nothing more.
7786  Other / Meta / Re: Is April 1st a free day to abuse the merit system? on: April 01, 2019, 02:27:34 PM
What if the real joke is the Merit system? Theymos has been planning this day since January 2018, and tomorrow the entire Merit system will be reset Shocked All back to 0 again Cheesy
Merit, KYC will dissapear, but we will see Karma.
All of us will have bitcointalk karma, that is main reason we have been here, mostly due to Karma.

In the opposite side, I don't see such huge merit circulated today is merit abusements. I think it is merit destroy.
There are so many users hoarded their merits for more than one year, then today, they decided to destroy them all.
It's what we waited for more than one year, and finally they have great opportunity to destroy their merits.
7787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: April 01, 2019, 02:25:05 PM
Dogecoin is pumping again Cheesy Up 17% in the last hour lol Cheesy

Forget it, the rise, the volume increase today are all fake ones.
It comes from the April Fool, and not real ones.
Tomorrow, few hours from now, when you wake up, you will see Dogecoin come back to its start today.
Do you believe me at it?  Grin
7788  Other / Meta / Re: The new Thermos 2.0 Bitcoin Wallet is finally out on: April 01, 2019, 02:13:55 PM
Thermos is kind of hardware wallet is what I see theymos disclosed in his KYC image.
The Thermos hardware wallet has water-resistant charateristic, which is much better than waterlogs.
But, I still wonder how deep the Thermos wallet can be able to works fine before destroyed or damaged by water pressure?
7789  Other / Meta / Re: Is April 1st a free day to abuse the merit system? on: April 01, 2019, 02:05:29 PM
Yes, that topic is an outlier and should be excluded.
After excluding all merit circulated in that topic, especially OP, total merit circulation in the forum today till now is nearly normal (based on your given statistics).
excluding from this count those awarded to the Souvenirs from the Bitcointalk.org thread (some of which may be rolled back, some will definitively not).

In my analysis, the median of intraday merit is 626, so it is normal to see small rises of intraday merits for today to 700 or 800 in total.
Outlier only occur if total intraday merit for today surpass 11xx merits after excluding merit circulated in the Souvenir topic. Let's see.
So far, today there have been just over 350 sMerits awarded (going over the recent stats)
(1) Potential outliers are days that have intraday total merits beyond 164 or 1118;
(2) Median of intraday merits over the period is 626;
(3) 50% of observed days have their intra-day merits range from 521 to 760 (the interquartile range);

Nope, he might be excluded from merit source list tomorrow.
Only XalOleX will received such deMerits from theymos 😂😂😂
7790  Other / Meta / Re: Is April 1st a free day to abuse the merit system? on: April 01, 2019, 01:59:01 PM
Mostly happened in the Souvenir topic, so it's very easy for theymos to do reversion tomorrow.
Yeah, it is concentrated in the OP, no where else in that topic.
Personally, I think it is a good indicator that theymos might do this is most of big merit senders in that OP are merit sources, or staffs.
Did you pay you attention on such free indicator?
7791  Other / Meta / Re: What if tomorrow all rank badge and title dissapear, and we only get KYC badges? on: April 01, 2019, 01:23:43 PM
theymos is the only one know what will happen next few hours. He might snitch all our KYC verifications and run away or maintain as what we saw today.
You know it's not gonna happen. You are taking it seriously
Quote
Be happy with your April fool identification. Mine is worse LOL
It is not too bad, fella.
You have hidden well in the shadow, unfortunately today with KYC, I known that you are merit beggar.  Tongue

Personally, I wish that I will get glitched tomorrow with my KYC verification.
7792  Other / Meta / What if tomorrow all rank badge and title dissapear, and we only get KYC badges? on: April 01, 2019, 01:09:48 PM
Most of us thought that the KYC requirements today is April Fool, but I have my own different thought.
I know that it sounds very crazy, but who knows and admin has never been a boring guy.
He actually made us surprised in January last year, with merit system.
What will happen for us if tomorrow all badges of ranks and all rank tittles dissaprear, then all of those ones will be replaced by tittles (maybe with new collection of badges for KYC tittles)?

Someone collected more than 40 KYC verification tittles.

7794  Other / Meta / Re: Souvenirs from the Bitcointalk.org on: April 01, 2019, 12:54:22 PM
If staff can add new type of badge for the Souvenir shop, it will be great.
In the souvenirs shop, I would like to buy this one, the Ban Hammer Badge.
Perma banned users might love such Ban Hammer Badge.

The ban hammer badge for someone who got bans as one of tools to remind them about their past sweet memory in the forum, before the day they woke up and got banned.

Will theymos revert those Merits of Xal0lex? Tongue if not congrats for achieving a RECORD! almost 2k Merits in just a few HOURS Cheesy
Sure, he will.
Backward merit reversion tomorrow.
Because, Xal0lex massive earned  merits in minutes or hours with the topic somehow beaten @DdmrDdmr in pace of merit earning.

By the way, a little bit out of context, I would like to say congratulations for @DdmrDdmr, who moved to the club of 2000 merits-earned, since today.

I don't have enough merits to buy condom and don't have a girlfriend to use it.
I don't want to have condom, what I need is merit condom.
Will the bitcointalk's souvenir shop add the merit condom in next hours?
Moreover, I wish that merit condom is much cheaper than condom.  Roll Eyes

Such condom is relevant for such coming campaigns managed by Hhampuz.  Wink
Community Opinion - Signature Campaigns
In days to come, in order to be qualifying to join such pornsite campaigns, applicants have to prove that they own forum's condom or merit condom to join.
7799  Other / Meta / Re: Tip to the posters: You don't need to purposely make your replies longer on: April 01, 2019, 03:41:56 AM
Two things:
(1) Shit campaigns usually don't require such post-length criterion. And if they require it, it is mostly pseudo-requirement because they don't care and don't spend time to check post length in reality. They require it as pseudo-initiative to give feelings that their campaigns are high quality, and reliable;
(2) Good managers often spend their time to check both post-length, post meanings, and post contribution in context of dicussions it published.
Many campaigns place some restrictions on the minimum number of characters per paid post, so many tend to create longer posts to avoid the unpaid situation and show that they do a good job at posting. "Merits are not always the goal."

Short or long, it does not matter. The matter is contributions of posts for discussion that they joined. If posts don't contribute anything valuable to discussions, they are shit posts, no matter how long they are.
Everyone has different style of posting.
As long as they can say their thought or opinion on the subject, I don't see a problem with that.
But of course, shorter is better, less time to type. LOL
7800  Other / Meta / Re: KYC now required on: April 01, 2019, 03:31:34 AM
My ID got wetted and destroyed two weeks ago, then now I can not do KYC to keep using my account.
So, what should I do next, all my friends?
I need you recomendations now, because I can not figure out ways to get out of it.
I actually thought that I have to leave the forum forever in the next several days.  Undecided
