741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 11:07:23 AM
Will you still participate if money is not involved? Many people will easily quit if all casinos are to be turned into no-money games, isn't it?

Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.

You make a good point that money is a big reason people gamble.  But I also think a lotta folks just like playing the games cause they're exciting, not because of winning cash. The excitement of games can be fun even if you ain't betting. If casinos went to no-money games, I bet some people would still show up to play just for fun. So I'd say for some it's about money, but for others it's about enjoyment.  Casinos would still have players if they dropped cash from the mix.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 10:51:44 AM
but I still don't understand it myself, I'm not used to poker.
I'll give you a tip, watch those poker tournaments and that will give you an idea on how to play this game. It's not going to be easy in the beginning but it's enjoyable to watch until you learn from them. Also, if you've got your own smartphone or desktop or laptop, try to play those poker games online that are for free. From doing that, you'll understand the basics of it and how the game is being played on. And when you think that you're ready to play, try to get into poker tables online in casinos that you want to do it and try it out for your personal experience.

There is a big difference between live poker matches and online poker.  When you're at a real table in a casino or cardroom, you get the whole experience - checking out people's body language, hearing the chips clinking taking in the environment.  It's kinda like a social thing. Youre face-to-face with real opponents.  But online, it's just you staring at a screen with cartoon avatars and screennames.  The gameplay might be the same, but it lacks that human element and  some folks dig the convenience and faster pace of Internet poker but others miss that personal interaction.  Both have their advantages and disadvantages, so it comes down to personal preference. There's no right or wrong answer - just different strokes for different folks. But the thing is, if you're good at live poker, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be good at online poker, and vice versa.
743  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment 🎰📈🏀⚾🏈⚽ on: October 07, 2023, 09:35:43 AM
Hi admin, is there an alternative link to access your site because it is blocked in my country, I don't want to use VPN!

According to the Nitrobetting Terms of Use:
Quote
You agree to not use our services while located in any jurisdiction that prohibits the use of cryptocurrency, or prohibits placing bets online. You warrant that you are permitted in the jurisdiction in which you are located to use online sports betting services.
https://nitrobetting.eu/terms-conditions/

Therefore, I don't believe it is allowed to bypass country-specific restrictions when using their sports betting services.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 07, 2023, 09:08:42 AM
Women are considered to be more emotionally weak compared to men when it comes to gambling, most of them can’t take the pain of losing, they even go further of blaming the other party that got them involve in it in the first place.
<...>

I don't really agree with that take.  Saying someone's more emotionally resilient just cause of their gender seems pretty messed up to me.  People can react real differently to losing money gambling and  how you respond comes down to all kinds of stuff about who you are, not if you're a guy or girl.

Sure, some folks might freak out more when they lose big.  But thats got nothing to do with being a man or woman specifically.  It depends on the person's own experiences, personality where they grew up, all that jazz.  So yeah, making blanket assumptions that dudes handle losses better is straight up wrong in my book.  Folks are too complicated for easy stereotypes like that.
745  Economy / Reputation / Re: Possible/Trying to Abusing - MoneyPot.com - 20k satoshi giveaway / alt account on: October 06, 2023, 07:09:02 PM
<...>
Also someone already posted his about fake translation service here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045868.msg46637880#msg46637880

I view it as a separate issue. Whether he's Greek or not and whether he cheated with those translations, that still doesn't make him anyone's alt account. If we are discussing a possible alt account and cheating/abuse in the giveaway, I don't think we have sufficient evidence to confirm it. It would be helpful if there were at least some other evidence linking the two, such as blockchain transactions, because, for now, this appears to be a simple copying mistake.
746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin social communication on: October 06, 2023, 06:56:56 PM
Can you read all of the other fucking comments? Clearly everyone on this site fucking hates science and is fucked up. They are all a bunch of fucked up pieces of shit. I do not have people in real life who I am comfortable talking to about this stuff. Sorry. I guess that I am stuck talking to you guys. Sorry.

It looks like there's room for improvement in terms of communication skills here. OP, is this your typical mode of communication in real life? If so, it's no wonder you don't have anyone to talk to; people are probably avoiding you.

Nonetheless, it's a positive step that you've started this discussion. However, this platform might not be the ideal place to learn those skills. Typically, communication skills are something one learns in elementary school or within their family. Anyway.. Let's work with where we are at the moment. I've heard there are communication skills courses designed for adults; perhaps you might consider exploring those. Although, it seems like you might have some other areas to work on as well... So, good luck!
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MultiversX (EGLD) is the next Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 05:37:29 PM
That's a Bitcoin pizza moment. Bookmark this topic because it's a historical one.

I can tell you're new around here and apparently very inexperienced, but that's fine! We all start somewhere. Just a friendly advice: it's worth looking back in history. Every coin that's been hyped as "the next Bitcoin" or a "Bitcoin killer" has eventually turned out to be a scam or a dead project. So, be careful with your money and avoid spending it recklessly. Once it's gone, it's gone, and there's no way to get it back. Stay smart and safe!

I also wish it dropped further so I could buy few thousands more...

Give it time. It most definitely will! Cheesy
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How can I retrieve private keys from a phone with faulty panel. on: October 06, 2023, 05:12:20 PM
It is definitely possible to recover files from a broken phone if the storage chip is still intact, but the exact procedures depend on many factors. That's why there are professionals who deal with such things. It will cost you money, so you have to consider whether it's worth it.

Go to an authorized phone service center. They will give you the most accurate information about your options. If you do not know which authorized service centers are, ask the authorized distributor for your phone brand.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery with a twist on: October 06, 2023, 03:48:48 PM
I don't like to sound pessimistic, but I don't believe there will be enough incentive for gamblers to buy tickets for such a lottery. There are just too many unknown factors. It might be more interesting if it were some sort of player-versus-player (PvP) game, where competitors battle each other. Just my thought.
750  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have solved the problem of complexity in provably fair games on: October 05, 2023, 10:32:06 PM
On the contrary, time is the most valuable resource of all. Every second you spend on useless things you can never get back. Businesses and business owners know how to value their time and will not waste it.

So you’re not a business owner I understand  Grin

Exactly, that's correct. I used to be, but I've since passed the torch to my successors. That's why now I have the freedom to spend my free time however I please.

This topic has led someone to direct message me some valuable contact information with some valuable advice. I personally didn’t waste my time. As for those asking that I publish my CV here they’re the ones wasting their time lol.

Good for you! Can we finally expect to see your provably fair implementation in action soon?
751  Other / Meta / Re: Come on, why remove a whole topic from politics board? on: October 02, 2023, 09:43:00 PM
And again my post was on topic. But nvm,  good luck with others posting in S&S board, watch out for "off topic" excuse for your posts.

What does it matter that your post was on-topic if the whole topic is for trash? Anyway, since you said that you are getting warm for discussion on a few subjects, why not start new topics?
752  Economy / Reputation / Re: I do not understand the purpose of the board Reputation. on: October 02, 2023, 09:18:58 PM
The entire cryptocurrency community has failed to understand that Bitcoin has a mining algorithm that was never designed to advance science and that that is a bad thing.

Says who?

This means that the entire cryptocurrency community cannot be trusted with anything because they reject science and reasoning.

I don't reject science and reasoning, which proves that your reasoning is flawed.

I have had enough of this madness.

Great! Now, what more could you possibly be searching for on the Bitcointalk forum?
753  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need Escrow Explanation on: October 02, 2023, 09:03:23 PM
Hi.  I'm new here, and want to sell stuff, but I hear it's recommended that someone new like me should use escrow for such a service.  I know what the term means, but I don't quite understand the concept.  Could someone please give me an example?  Thanks.

Let's say that you are seller and that you have agreed on the terms of sale with the buyer. Once you've both agreed to use a third-party escrow for your transactio, the buyer sends an agreed amount to the escrow. After escrow confirms receipt, you ship the goods to the buyer. After the buyer confirms receipt of the goods, the escrow releases the coins to you.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any Dice sites have something similar to GigaBets Lightning bet feature? on: October 01, 2023, 09:34:10 PM
Generally pointless. At warp speed tho? Unbeatable

I've been down that road before. Trust me, there's no unbeatable martingale strategy out there. You'll always run into that unbelievably long red streak sooner or later. It's just the nature of the game.
755  Economy / Gambling / Re: Restricted on casino bonuses on: October 01, 2023, 08:30:04 PM
I'm expecting this restriction to happened to me since casino will surely doesn't allowed anyone consistently winning. I view this punishment as compliment since it's very rare to defeat a casino.

In my opinion, casinos offer bonuses to attract new players and keep old ones engaged. They probably do not anticipate someone consistently winning, which is why they might restrict or change the terms for bonuses. It's a balance between offering incentives and managing their own financial interests. Have you perhaps used some gambling techniques to maximize the use of the bonus to your advantage?

Sharing this experience to be an eye opener that we can't have a consistent profit on a casino without being restricted. Just enjoy the game and don't focus much on profit. In the end, I decided to just focus on trading and rest on gambling.

Your choice to dive into trading instead sounds like a solid move. It's a different kind of risk-taking, but I think it's a smarter path to potentially grow your wealth without going all-in like in gambling. By the way, have you found trading to be more profitable and enjoyable compared to casino gambling in the long run?
756  Other / Archival / Re: Electrum download link on: October 01, 2023, 08:11:10 PM
Is this a scam website?

This is not the official Electrum site. Someone is most likely trying to trick you into downloading a fake wallet app.

Always download files or software from trusted sources and websites. If you are not sure which is the official source, ask on multiple online communities, such as this one. In addition, it is worth learning how to verify the PGP signature of downloaded software.
757  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Public Blockchain Analysis Sites (to check transaction history) on: October 01, 2023, 07:52:25 PM
If you know some sites, we would be happy if you can link it below.  Smiley

I sometimes like to check on Glasschain (https://glasschain.org/) for this purpose. Also, WalletExplorer.com might give you some information as well.
These websites can be handy for your research and data analysis needs.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi: Falling Far Deeper Into Irrelevance on: September 30, 2023, 03:21:41 PM
It is confirmed. Christen Ager-Hanssen announces his departure as nChain CEO and expressed his conviction that Craig Wright is NOT Satoshi and predicts that he will lose all his legal battles.

I wonder what made him change his mind?
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: September 30, 2023, 02:53:17 PM
But for me I think gambling is the one that done people more harm than bitcoins investment, because almost every day people gamble with different platforms but its few of people that invest in a day or weekly, I will like us to discuss these.

How did you decide that only a few individuals invest in Bitcoin daily? Remember, there are around 8.1 billion people on Earth, so it's a big world out there. I'm curious about the sources of your information.

Investing and gambling are incomparably different things, and we had discussions about this on the forum many times before.
760  Economy / Gambling / Re: Plinko Simulation – BitcoinPlinko.com (Medium/Low Volatility) on: September 30, 2023, 02:28:20 PM
And I don't like simulators, so why would we play Plinko for free? Where is the excitement?

I agree! Not worth the time.

OP, you've got a cool domain there. Ever thought about turning it into a real gambling site with functional deposits and withdrawals? You might even consider enabling the Lightning Network to make it attractive for budget-conscious gamblers. Just a thought!
