yea, if i wasn't desperately trying to get together money to fix my car, i'd be buying some BAY at this point.

thats really interesting. all sounds like a well thought out plan. execution sounds like a bitch though. really complex. i am not saying i doubt you can do it or anything, just noting that to do it will be hard.

so, to be clear, is the goal decentralized digital markets/exchanges for coins, or are we talking physical goods? if the latter, which i think is what ya mean, then it seems the only remaining problem for users would be keeping shipping and delivery addresses anonymous from one another. not that the market should solve that, of course. what i'm trying to say is it sounds like you've covered everything a market could cover.

impressive.

haven't had time to read the whole thread, but the initial post does look ...interesting. an actual decentralized market could be huge. complex though, to say the least. i'm gonna read up on this.

Did you see the flow chart i posted a few pages back? Please read up on bitmessage channels and whitelists. Then realize im adding a burn layer to bitmessage(but the first version of markets will not have the burn layer because I want the nodes)

i looked for, but did not find the flowchart.

been glancing through this thread. i'd read previously about bitmessage. i kinda feel like i did when i first heard about bitcoin. which is best summed up by the following:

Mark Karpeles - “each time you want to check the balance of a cold wallet, you’re making it less cold.”

HA, I still can't believe this dimwit somehow ran the largest bitcoin exchange (into the ground).

you're... making it... wait, what? the fuck is he talking about? i want to check a cold wallet, i enter the address into blockchain.info or such... there's no involvement from anything compromising.
747  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 15% interest. multiple small loans OK! on: November 11, 2014, 11:31:08 PM

as i said there, i haven't. but i can, and will try tomorrow.
748  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: seeking $1500 at 15% interest on: November 11, 2014, 11:04:05 PM
i'm pretty desperate here guys. i use the car for work. with the damage, i can't work.

If you are truly desperate, post in a religious forum.  You'll get your money there.

Or partner with a local garage to fix now, pay later.  They will love the 15% interest!

...man, a religious forum? i... yea, ok, not that desperate. *shudder*
749  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: seeking $1500 at 15% interest on: November 11, 2014, 09:38:58 PM
I'm not sure if anyone has asked yet: have you tried getting a loan from a bank in fiat?

i don't even have a bank account... i doubt i could get one. but no, i haven't tried.
750  Economy / Long-term offers / seeking $1500 at 15% interest on: November 11, 2014, 05:46:28 PM
original thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=851003.0

this is kinda a cross post, but i want'ed to be sure the longterm guys saw it too, since that is more fitting.

in short, i need $1000 usd for a car insurance deductible to get my car fixed after an accident. the other guy ran...
and about 500 or so (this part is negotiable) to cover living expenses such as food, insurance and car payments, etc.

offering 15% interest and $200 worth of btc repaid monthly (or $50 weekly if you prefer.)

i'm pretty desperate here guys. i use the car for work. with the damage, i can't work.
751  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 15% interest. multiple small loans OK! on: November 11, 2014, 05:41:47 PM
uhm... guys? anyone?
752  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: original batch USB block erupters - collector item only, 330 megahash - sale? on: November 10, 2014, 10:21:34 PM
as i said, not yet. they're in a seperate location from where i am. gimmie a bit.
753  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: original batch USB block erupters - collector item only, 330 megahash - sale? on: November 10, 2014, 09:49:04 PM
im interested in the later batch cant offer you alot but somethings better than nothing, whats you location?

i'm in dallas, tx, usa.
754  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: original batch USB block erupters - collector item only, 330 megahash - sale? on: November 10, 2014, 09:41:20 PM
wow. so this got a lot more interest then anticipated. (aka, any.)

i'll add pics later. they're at home and i'm at the GF's.

i hadn't considered a price, as i honestly didn't expect any response. to be clear, i'm trying to come up with as much as possible because i need to meet $1000 insurance deductible and currently have... $1.75. so anything under 5 is probably not something i can consider.
755  Economy / Computer hardware / original batch USB block erupters - collector item only, 330 megahash - sale? on: November 10, 2014, 07:11:53 PM
so i'm strapped for cash something hard core, and need money to get my car fixed. see loan request thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=851003.0

the only asset i have that might be worth something to someone is the original batch of block erupter USB miners i have. these were the first every sold, first ever used to mine outside of test units.

i have around 20 i think, plus 30 ish from a later batch.=. each mines at 330 megahash. obviously worthless as functional miners (though they DO function!)

speaking strictly as a collectors item, anyone interested? at all?

post in wrong section? where should i move it?
756  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 12.5% interest on: November 10, 2014, 04:09:49 PM
well, got the email from the insurance adjuster with the estimate... 4200 USD in repair costs. yeesh. and i thought the deductible at $1000 was a bad.

at this point i'm just waiting on the check to arrive so i can go start repairs.

and i still (kinda desperately) need the money. i'm increasing the interest rate offered to 15% and the repayment to BTC equivalent of $200 usd monthly (well, $50 weekly, honestly.) unless uber drops it's fares again that's well within my means.

i've also signed up with a couple other "service on demand" companes (postmates and taskrabbit) that i shouldn't have any trouble getting started with. that means more money, which means more repaid.

also, as of now marcotheminer hasn't decided if he's gonna loan me the 1 btc talked about a few posts ago.

please guys. i'm really up a creek if i can't get this fixed.
757  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 12.5% interest on: November 09, 2014, 05:48:36 PM
sure. send to the old one.
758  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 12.5% interest on: November 09, 2014, 05:43:39 PM
Could you please proof you really are arklan? Sign the address where you want loans to go towards with one or a few of your oldest (obviously yours) address(s)

Thanks

address: 1F4j4Lha8BjL4wxwFVbGaQwMJ4Kd1brfXb used in old loan thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=441074.20 and many... many other places previously. used to be in my signature.

signed message between, but not including, qoutes. "i verify i'm arklan."

sig is HAcgVmQ3rXrSPqzHHdrhPwqZPT9IrbC4a8daWBSdQ/ZNJdQOSTjrCBlnxTTQDCpY1g6qm6+w7IAst9z1n6Dk2B8=

oh, i goofed... you wanted this:

signed address 1uMhxXdjDp5xUY4CGx4e7YgRP9qoebXhh where loaned money goes.

signed message: "old address: 1F4j4Lha8BjL4wxwFVbGaQwMJ4Kd1brfXb"

signature: H3Vp2BB/8fh1UHWv2yzu++NIs1+JMRMPhGTURZ1pYOiCqoQu+9WXj9+xrteTvQfcVgJPUXGkfXkhIOfqtMMSeSE=

I wouldn't lend Bitcoin in this case since you need USD. Conversion into fiat (and then back again once you repay) just adds to your overall cost.

well sure, it adds to the cost. but i don't exactly have many other options. i mean, unless someone here wants to loan USD, which i doubt.

759  Economy / Lending / Re: need $1500 for car insurance deductible 12.5% interest on: November 09, 2014, 04:46:58 PM
friendly bump.

anyone? bueller? bueller? anyone?

Molecular hasn't started buying yet, yet he is a donator. Weird.

holding bitcoins and thus being able to donate them doesn't require buying. probably an old miner.
