741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer on: December 30, 2013, 07:53:15 PM
Hi
Anyone heard about speed up CPUminer by recode? Huh
FUD?!
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptoSwitcher - Automatically mine the best coin. on: December 30, 2013, 07:52:41 PM
Which pools do you use for SHA-256 ASICs with crypto switcher?

eligius                  for   btc
p2pool.org            for   uno, tgc, bet, bte, xjo
multipool.us          for   trc, zet, frc
dem.ispace.co.uk   for   dem

using all them, with coinwarz as profit calculator, cryptoswitcher as switching script and cryptsy as exchenger, I reached around 130 as profitabiliy in the last 2 days (respect to exclusive btc mining).

Anyway, I had this night a problem on one of my sha-256 devices, so for some hours the whole system mined at 50% capacity...  so probably profitabiliy should be higher then 130...   anyway, more accurate statistics will come in the following days...
shame on u supporting the p2pool.org scam... run your own node
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 29, 2013, 09:40:09 PM
i just want to point out the ignore feature again!
for example, i put people which only talk (nonsense/FUD/PR) instead of doing something, instantly on my ignore list.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 28, 2013, 11:57:40 AM
no because i live in AUSTRALIA!!~!!! i only know what the media allows and i have seen nothing like that anywhere on the net so i would like some proof send me a link and prove it, so your telling me putin is executing millions just like Stalin??
if you think australia is bad, go watch some documentations about north korea, after this you wont say anything again!
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 28, 2013, 10:08:36 AM

746  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 28, 2013, 01:28:53 AM
aasl: There isn't really a feature supporting this use case right now.

coraz and K1773R: I agree we could make the coin control UI a little friendlier.
i dont want it to be more friendly (as it currently is), i want more power to choose which txout to be used. after all thats what an expert mode is for Wink
check cozz's patches for coin control, its well done.
747  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 27, 2013, 05:03:01 PM
Feature request: it would be great if it were possible to sort addresses in the Coin Control window by balance or label (similar to how it's done in the Wallet Properties window)

RE the new OS X testing version: still getting intermittent "Segmentation fault: 11" errors. The worst part is that Armory needs transaction history rescan after that, which takes 20-25 minutes.
on top of that, if possible dont just make a checkbox for txouts of a given address, let the user select each TXOUT (grouped by address of course) to be used for coin selection Smiley
ie, just like cozz's patch

749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Securecoin / Quark CPU miner by Spoetnik on: December 25, 2013, 08:38:27 PM
I have been doing more testing and I'm telling you this is not faster!!  Angry I paid good quarks and securecoins for this and its actually slower. It reports higher hash rates yet submits less shares. Help me get this working like you said it did or give me back my quarks, you can keep the securecoins.  QgqQYdTk68kMCpz4HSojAwN1riKvTLB7na
funny to see ppl get scammed by prop. software...
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Securecoin / Quark CPU miner by Spoetnik on: December 25, 2013, 08:35:09 PM
I have been meaning to post this publicly for a while but.. lol

This is a release of my CPU miner mod for SRC / QRK.

Windows x64 SSE4 only so far.. so have been too busy to worry about Linux support so far Sad
It was coded in notepad and Visual Studio 2010 and compiled with MingW x64

It comes with a variety of bug fixes and new features and speed enhancements.
Please read included documentation ..I'll update this post with more info later.

Where is the source code?
If this is a modification of the previous CPU miner, you are required by the GPL to release the full source for your version.

(Plus, anyone who downloads and runs prebuilt binaries from this forum with no source available is a bit dim, IMHO)
scamers dont care about licenses
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 25, 2013, 06:28:44 PM
if i have the file on my pc, i dont need datacoin to store it.

i mean about permanent storage without any responsibility from me, thats why i would pay in the first place.
can you think of something which makes everyone drop datacoin? if not, this wont happen. the more leave this coin, the easier to mine which attracts new ppls
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 25, 2013, 05:45:16 PM
still looking for a trade @ forum
753  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 25, 2013, 04:34:55 PM
I know you considered adding option to transfer the unsigned file to offline computer using sound (sound card) and back. Any progress in this ?

That's my responsibility. However it isn't at the top of my priority list just yet. Busy with a wallet recovery tool and Trezor integration for now.

754  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [117 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: December 25, 2013, 02:46:27 PM
look at the bootom of p2pol.ORG and you will see "P2Pool.org is not affiliated with P2Pool or ForrestV"

so p2pool.ORG is not p2pool and has no attention to this topic

If you want to mine on p2pool than go to p2pool.in
so i assume his post which i cant read (due to ignore) is a rant, well seems ppl are still resistant wrt learning new things Tongue
anyway, this is OT

756  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [117 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: December 24, 2013, 09:51:39 PM
I'm trying to mine GDC with the following line:
C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 14336 --auto-gpu --auto-fan --gpu-reorder --gpu-fan 20-100 -o http://p2pool.org:9876 -u gMngTWRPr5pDcsnyL19b2KBXrgTvGdkEYr -p password

but cgminer just sits there and hangs (it says started cgminer on a single line before going to an all black screen). When I press c I get a glimpse of URL not found and some other information but it vanishes before I can read it fully. Any ideas? Thank you!

[edit] with some quick print screening it definitely does say no servers found, most likely the wrong URL.
dont use p2pool.org scam, dont use winblows.
757  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin client with I2P patch on: December 24, 2013, 09:50:44 PM
You do not need to run patched bitcoind before bitcoin-qt. Bitcoin-qt should work immediately, if it doesn't then probably there is a bug. Under which OS do you have this problem?

Xubuntu, it does work maybe I didn't follow the OP's instructions correctly?
did you enable the SAM bridge in i2p? if not, you have to!
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 21, 2013, 10:29:18 PM
is datacoin working with cpu? i want to try if its okey cpu. ty.
Yes, it's cpu-only coin.
Pool with instructions on its main page: http://dtc.gpool.net/

thank you max, i have added to my list, what about you another cpu's mining without xpm and pts. which one is okey in your oppion and alternative

As far as I know, there are now no more CPU-mined coins except mentioned. Maybe I'm wrong, correct me in such case.
Ah, maybe coins like securecoin are also CPU-only, but you need to look up the forum.
there are xpm gpu miners, but none of them are worth it
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: December 20, 2013, 07:35:35 PM
Been watching these for a while.  I don't understand how you could force it to only mine ltc.  So many clones that are remarkably similar would make it nearly impossible.. I wouldn't want to mine ltc anyways.. More profitable coins out there by a long shot atm.  Alphatech if you're reading this, if you limit us to purchasing only through bitcoins or even litecoins, you're potentially alienating many potential customers.  Include eskrow, paypay, or a bank transfer combination will cement yourself as a company to emulate.
it will be a scrypt miner so if you point it to the right pool, it will of course mine the coin you want. an ASIC itself dosnt know what coin it is (tough this could be possible but a waste for an ASIC, a CPU/FPGA on the board would/should be doing such things). they just picked "Litecoin" because it was the first coin with it.
also if they are able to produce such a scrypt miner, they cant be stupid enough to limit it to litecoin only Wink
