741  Economy / Reputation / Re: Light_warrior / Memorial thread ... 🕯️ on: December 21, 2023, 11:11:52 PM
It seems light_warrior was given a memorial title.
So I noticed on his profile he is true a Hero and we'll forever missed him
I also saw it on his profile, well deserved to be recognized and appreciated with that title. Anyway for those that haven't seen it yet, Gazeta made a thread[1] about btc price prediction in memoriam LW. Just read the conditions if you are eligible to participate or not.

[1] [In Memoriam] Guess BTC price contest
742  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis everywhere it's time to come together and unite on: December 21, 2023, 09:34:00 PM
Unite for something that many will not agree? You want people to unite and make a new currency? I'm out!
I don't want to let the FEDs put their eyes on me and you'll never know with such if someone's gonna knock outside your door trying to silence you. But I guess that you may think that I am too much with what I am saying and that is because you've said you want to make a currency and not cryptocurrency. If so, there's no sense on it anymore as we've got large choices already in the market and there's no need for us to see another new shitcoin to come.
743  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [In Memoriam] Guess BTC price contest on: December 21, 2023, 08:09:05 PM
That's touching honestly and thanks to all of the folks involved on this contest, lw's family, gazeta and icopress.

We've just broken the walls of $44k but then the market corrected so I think with few days remaining, this is possible to happen that we may see this price prediction that I've got. So, it's like a slow motion but possibly that it's gonna move to the next barrier of $45k, more FOMO gonna happen as January comes because of the close door meeting of BlackRock and SEC.

My price prediction:
Code:
$44,400
744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you still appreciates the price of Bitcoin if it hasn't be your history price on: December 20, 2023, 11:18:44 PM
This thought can also be seen and asked on 2018 about how Bitcoin and the entire market plummeted a lot. There were those that have bought at the peak of $19k-$20k and then many have doubted Bitcoin will recover back to its former ATH. So, the same sentiment has been told like they just have to hold and believe the market that it will be back and more than it was before. Did those people that suggested to hold were wrong? No, they're right and suggested the right thing to do. It wasn't just all about giving them the spirit to accept their paper loss because as long as they get to hold it, they can still recover when the market recovers as well. And those that have managed to held until 2021 probably were in profit already and even we can say that the price currently is low compared to 2021, those who got into the peak of 2017 were happy now. But I don't know if how many does that still held until they can. Investing requires a lot lot lot of patience, if you're not for it, you're out already long time ago. I may not be the right person to answer it because I've bought at the lowest but seeing those highs and lows, they've all given me an emotional impact and fortunately, survived all of them. Someone who's in the situation of both in the peak of 2021 can just do the same and have that same patience like what we us did applied.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Whole Concept of Bitcoin is Failing! on: December 20, 2023, 09:32:37 PM
I thought that 2017 was the toughest but it's also nice because we're in the bull run by that time. Toughest as the fees was terrible back then but no it's not the worst but we've got this time more expensive fees. But it still varies and changing from time to time and I'm still in the hope that even with these ordis, sats and other brc20 tokens, we'll still see some light soon. It's not just the right time because they're in demand. What I am thinking right now, we deal with inflation in the real world whilst Bitcoin is a deflationary asset, the inflation that we deal IRL is the fees that we deal here for Bitcoin and transactions that we do. Well, I'm just looking at the brighter side of it that we'll see a new ATH as this could be the indication of it although we didn't experienced this a lot on 2021 bull run.

The year 2017 was biggest remarkable one, during that time the bitcoin had achieved the biggest target of 19k dollars.Which was the highest price of the bitcoin over a decade from the beginning of bitcoin origin. Many new people also get into the forum from 2017-2019 and made the Bitcoin community a wide range community.
Don't forget about the fees were also high during that time IIRC. And not just for Bitcoin but also for altcoins like Ethereum, those days were like the first time in history to experience those dramatic fees gone up. Although we've felt that already before, this time is way too different from that because this way is worse than the past.

Nobody ever said that bitcoins greatest feature is cheap form of transactions.
While that's true but it was like one of the attributes of Bitcoin before when fees like a few centavos. And I've witnessed those days before when they're totally cheap then comes next the boasting of altcoins having cheap fees. But it's true that's not the case better as soon as there's a clog on their networks, they can't skip to have these horrible increase in fees.

747  Economy / Economics / Re: Used cars and real estate market very volatile and a lot people will fomo in on: December 20, 2023, 05:44:30 PM
I don't know which side the used cars and the real estate became volatile.
Housing market certainly is at high and there is a possibility that we see a crash from there. There are houses that are priced at high but if the owners of it want to sell it quicker, they have to decrease from the asking price. That's common but that's how the market in real estate nowadays. People wouldn't think of buying real estate now because they're so expensive.

My understanding and knowledge is that if the value of a brand new car decreases over time, what about used cars, they are even lower and we do not yet know how many problems there are with secondhand cars.
It differs where you're located. There are cars that are appreciating but they're like rare cars and limited edition, the collectibles. I'm not into the 2nd hand cars but that's what at least I know of.

But it's the opposite of real estate, where as time passes, its value increases. So, it means that it is better to use investment in real estate at any time and depending on the place you will buy real estate.
While that is true but this differs from the location. No doubt about real estates that are found in good locations.
748  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fast-fashion shopping apps hurting local economy? on: December 20, 2023, 11:24:17 AM
Do you believe that their ridiculously low prices could be hurting the local economy, and why? Have you purchased from them?
I believe that it does. I've seen an ad from temu before and that promising discount first purchase of a mechanical keyboard is what made me interested. But after downloading the app, it was too hectic as there's a lot of information that needed to be filled so I just quit it and it made me uncomfortable. Whilst for Shein, I've been seeing them lately that there are a lot of supply of their tees in the local market. But regardless of these apps, I still buy in the local market, no brand, not fake but just plain tees and plain colors. I just like wearing those and I always get to check if it fits me and as well as the fabric if it's cotton or comfortable for me. I have never bought from any of those apps but with aliexpress, I used to see ecom people that gets their supplies there together with alibaba.
749  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Frozen withdrawals at AutoHashMining.com on: December 20, 2023, 05:06:38 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if they will show you more balance projecting on your account trying to pursue you to pay whatever they demand from you for that taxes/deposit they're asking you to pay. Anyway, whoising them won't show that much information as they've hidden their details for "privacy". Of course scammers don't want people to know to trace them.

We're making a reality TV comedy show about the people involved in this site. Unbeknownst to them.
What's the name of your show? I guess that this thread served its purpose already as you know that they're a scam and majority of the people here are aware that cloud mining are likely scams.
750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get 1 eth or 1 btc on: December 19, 2023, 11:50:36 PM
Do you have a truck? Sell that and you'll get 1 ETH or even more but lesser Bitcoin. We're no trolls here unless someone is willing to trade a thing for you and they'll give you out their ETHs or BTCs. It's still trading or selling when you does it. I don't understand what it has to be other ways aside from the conditions that you've said. Take it like, whatever you exchange with your effort, time and money, that's how you'll get things and the same goes for acquiring eth/btc.
751  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Funds withdrawn from Stake without 2FA. on: December 19, 2023, 10:35:34 PM
If the 2FA method is through email then it's possible that it's your email that has been cracked by the hacker. Do you remember all of the websites that you've signed up for and did you use the same emails and passwords from all of those? Because I've read somewhere that there hackers actually goes through all of the credentials to the websites that they're in like finances, exchanges, casinos, etc. That's what I am thinking on your case. But if they're not telling you any reason or how did it happened, it actually go through the process and the money's gone so sorry about your losses OP. Remember which website you probably think the leak has happened and you're right that they should flag an account if ever some unfamiliar IP gets access and goes on withdrawal asap.
752  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 19, 2023, 09:07:31 PM
It's good to know withdrawals are instant, as on other sites. I'm not a fan of waiting forever, well who is.  Grin
I'm about to try their withdrawal soon so, I'll also have my own experience to tell about their instant withdrawals.

All my deposits & withdrawals were instant on BC.Games. So I guess that you don't have to worry about this.
That's good to know, I'll do that later but the fees are quite high and not sure if it's going to be worth it with the amount that I'm about to withdraw but I guess that's what I'll do then.

Do you have to KYC on BC.game now? I saw lots of stuff a few months ago and reluctant to sign up if i have to jump through hoops to get any money out
Expect that most casinos do ask that whenever they have to. So, even if you haven't asked yet, if the time comes that you're about to withdraw such amounts. There is a chance that you'll be asked for it so, that's better to expect than to get frustrated because you have never expected that before.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: December 19, 2023, 07:57:33 PM
Before investing we need to think whether we are going to invest in bitcoin or invest in sheet coins.
Not sheet coins mate. And if it's about the choices, never go wrong with choosing Bitcoin.

I always prefer bitcoin investment over sheet coins. Because bitcoin investment is always a long term investment. Because if we patiently plan long term investment then we will get success with bitcoin investment.
Bitcoin is here to stay so it's just wise to get on it for the long term. And that's why most of us who invests on it are also long term and holding, there's no way that you'll be wrong on this choice. And with the ones with bad experiences before with altcoins, you need to do better and don't need to be great in analysis, just sit and stack some sats and you'll be fine on the next bll run
754  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dappradar.cash is scam copy of dappradar.com on: December 18, 2023, 11:42:24 PM
It seems that it's just made to scam people that are too hype with airdrops craze nowadays. Thank you Op for sharing and to those that are into airdrops and likes to connect their wallets to any random website without checking the authenticity of it and even the spelling of its domain name. Do yourself a favor that you have to take extra care with yourselves and if an airdrop project requires you to connect. Just give it up and don't get too greedy with those unknown tokens and unsure if they'd be valuable. But if you insist, don't use your hot wallets from connecting into these contracts.
755  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 18, 2023, 10:09:04 PM
it seems like I once played on this site but after that I never used it again, I'm happy to get the answer, I will try to participate in filling out the survey and see what's interesting and newest about this site because it's been a long time since I've used it to access this site, I hope it's not too late to get a small prize so I can try the games there and play some games just for entertainment and to make money.
As long as there's no announcement yet that they've fulfilled the promised 100 users then you're still good to join. Mentioned on that thread that it's a limited participation only so, as long as it's still active and didn't announced that it's already close, join before you ran out of any slot because of its limitation.

It's good to know withdrawals are instant, as on other sites. I'm not a fan of waiting forever, well who is.  Grin
I'm about to try their withdrawal soon so, I'll also have my own experience to tell about their instant withdrawals.

Once you get used to fast withdrawals you can't go back to waiting for sometimes days as it was in the past with fiat sites.
You said it right, although there can be times that there could be a slight delay but I'll get to see that soon.
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc dump to 39600 on: December 18, 2023, 03:36:51 PM
Is that your target for you to buy? With the small corrections that come, you can notice that there's not that much drop at all and this is a good sign. You see those reds but in actuality, we don't see a huge less from the price of Bitcoin. These dumps aren't huge dumps to say.
So, if you're planning to buy when there's a little push back then take that chance and moment to buy before it finally skyrockets again and it's only a matter of time that we won't see these lows again. This is the great thing on these cycles, people are excited for the ATHs but also you have to consider the newer and higher lows.

758  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance alternatives on: December 17, 2023, 10:07:42 PM
Send your funds from them to your wallets first. Because it's likely that other exchanges that are not established locally might also be flagged just as Binance. And if you're into storing your crypto, exchanges aren't the way to go because you're not going to do well with them and there can be a much worse situation than them closing down the users from specific areas. As we used to say, they're not providing you with your private keys so that's a no-no if they're going to be used as storage just as you have described it. What's even alarming is that you said that you've been doing this for a long time, don't wait until an unfortunate thing happens to the new exchange where you're planning to deposit and keep it.
759  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My Dad got Crypto scammed (UFJPRO) on: December 17, 2023, 08:05:22 PM
Yeah i knew it was a romance scam, and we told him like 1000 times.
I told him to not pay those 10k because i will not get the money for sure!
Just tell him that he'll never get back the $100k even if you pay a ransom of $10k. That's how it is and let it alone accept that he's got scammed. It's gonna be a hard pill to swallow what just happened to him but that's the reality.

What would you guys recommend?
i found some lawyer sides, who take care of thoses cases. Is there a slim chance to get back the money?
Sadly, the chance is from small to zero. This is crypto and that person your dad might have talked to wasn't even a real person with that name and picture whatsoever. It's an outright scammer that has been doing this thing for so long. Maybe coming from that app itself, if there will be some in-depth analysis and track, it's possible who is behind it but it will cost you a lot of money I guess. Sorry OP and to your dad, that's like a money gone forever and you're unlikely to see the person behind that scam app. An expensive lesson and tell your dad to never talk again with any strangers online. It's a red flag when a stranger offers financial tips or apps specifically wanting you to download and deposit money because it's likely 100% they're the owner of that fake/scam app.
760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction is pending because fee was too low, now what on: December 17, 2023, 06:44:29 PM
But if the transaction is left unconfirmed for a maximum of about 2 weeks the Bitcoins will return back to your wallet
Based on my experience, it can go more than 2 weeks and even can go as long as a month or so. That happened to me before and I thought that was the first time to saw the fees pump again. But while waiting with that, he can do the tips of the other members telling him to rebroadcast his transaction but based on my experience again, that didn't do much when fees are this high.

Thanks for the answers. Waiting sounds like the best option for now Smiley
Aside from viabtc, you can contact some miners if you know someone to do the confirmation for you but the cons of this is that you're going to pay a fee. If the amount you transferred isn't worth it, yeah it's just best to wait it until it gets confirmed.
