761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Ethereum transaction has been pending for over a month on: August 23, 2020, 10:30:52 AM
Same problem here, been pending for 10 days now, after sending some token to an exchange.

There's a lot of us who are experiencing these issues, especially when you paid a low fee, just like I did.

You really can't expect me to pay a higher fee than the transaction fee I pay to my regular bank (which by the way never remains pending for 10 days). Roll Eyes So if this problem with Ethereum doesn't get solved soon, its future doesn't look too bright...
that is why Ethereum is a very risky coin now. People stop to believe in the company and do not like the technical development of this blockchain

I wouldn't state it as radically as you do, but it's about time things get moving.

Mine's pending for 14 days now. In the meantime my token is far from the price I wanted to sell it for, so it all doesn't matter much right now, and I'll just leave it pending for fun. Let's see if this will take forever or not.
762  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is there a mobile Tor browser? on: August 23, 2020, 10:21:19 AM
Yes there is. AFAIK, you can simply download Tor Browser from the Play Store (or any apk server). I haven't used it for a while, but if a remember well, you also have to download the proxy app Orbot in order to use Tor on your phone.

You can find the whole bunch here on apkpure: https://apkpure.com/search?q=tor+browser
763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Cryptocurrency on: August 23, 2020, 10:14:28 AM
The first mistake OP makes, is writing "Earn" in the title and "for free" in the body of the message. It's one thing or the other.

One doesn't earn for free.

The best way is to get a job and buy cryptocurrency with your salary, instead of spending your time on these boards.

I'd invite all beginners to have a look at OP's post history. All the time he spends on twitter, telegram and whatnot, is time lost forever. He could have used that time to work and have an income to buy crypto.
764  Other / Meta / Re: Report Text Spinners here on: August 23, 2020, 10:05:14 AM
Gut feeling might also be enough. And to be honest, the replies you've quoted clearly make no sense.

Question is: is gut feeling enough to get someone banned? If so, why hasn't this guy been banned a long time ago?

Looks like he simply continues to post, even still today.
765  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: BTC Direct + Coinomi on: August 22, 2020, 11:33:43 PM

766  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Cryptopia Judge: "1. Crypto is property 2. Even w/o keys, crypto remains yours" on: August 22, 2020, 11:31:00 PM
the money in the bank is not yours. its the banks.

So you're saying that, even though the judgment says that the coins on the exchange (we're not even talking about banks) are yours, this means that the coins on the exchange are NOT yours.

That's a very interesting interpretation.
767  Other / Meta / Report Text Spinners here on: August 22, 2020, 07:02:14 PM
A few days ago, I was cleaning up some posts by this guy Subbir, which is a superstar on the Wall of Shame and indeed a reputed spammer.

I noticed immediately that, although these are in quite acceptable English and even on-topic, there's something quite strange about them. There's hardly any punctuation marks, some of the sentences are pasted together, and even though you can vaguely get an idea of what the guy is trying to say, the whole text is actually a bit... absurd?

After searching for some of the keywords and phrases to Google, as I thought this was written by a bot, I did not find any proof of plagiarism.

I missed it too but repeatedly it depends on luck albeit you've got a thought about bettingit is easy to form a profit without doing anything. the ultimate round looks tons of funfar better at raising funds we've to maneuver forward consistent with the old trick if you hold on you'll make a profit.

After the coronavirus epidemic sports were stopped altogether other countries of the planet but the ministry of youth and sports said it had decided to introduce limited-scale sports and training activities however covid-19 is more susceptible to start playing football. Before starting playgrounds and training centers infection prevention and control work plans got to be developed by storing epidemic-resistant equipment like masks gloves disinfectants and non-contact infrared thermometers.

Conclusion can only be that this has been written with a text spinner, f.i. like best-spinner . com (for which some members of these boards are making publicity). Only question is: how to proof this...

Since I do not want to make a new Meta thread for every single (spin) spammer out there, I've made this thread not only to report this guy, but also as a friendly suggestion to use this thread to report other spinners, and of course with a wink to LoyceV's thread about plagiarism.

Might also be interesting as a discussion thread about how we could proof that these guys are using text spinners. Imho, since these posts are written by software/apps, I see very few - if any - differences with bot spammers...

Special thx to LoyceV for his help on this subject (and in general for his spambusting activity Cool).
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 900,000 illegal bitcoins. on: August 22, 2020, 11:46:13 AM
Not quite sure what these figures are based on. I suppose these criminals didn't PM the writer of the article to let them know how much they have in their bags. The probable conclusion is therefore that these charts are based on stats, which I personally believe is crap.

Another important question, and people stated this before, is how you define "illegal". I think we all know the definition of "crime" but "illegal" as a concept is a lot larger than "crime".

This is however, in spite of the shortcomings of the original article, a very interesting discussion. (which I am not used to in the General Discussion Boards Grin )

What about coins that were bought with legal money but not declared to the IRS? Are these coins illegal?

What about coins that were bought with money from gambling or prostitution in a country were gambling or prostitution are legal, but by someone who lives in a country were it is illegal? Are these coins illegal?

As you see, this deserves an in-depth discussion, which is way too large to be simply captured within the limitations of a simple chart.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒ Syscoin -Blockchain Scalability, Trustless Interoperability for ERC20 projects on: August 22, 2020, 09:29:52 AM
The big news was, of course, about the collaboration between Binance and Syscoin / Blockchain Foundry for the development of a bridge between SYS and ETH while moving BUSD.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-to-transfer-busd-across-blockchains-on-syscoin-ethereum-bridge

SYS prices jumped up and in a way it's quite ironic how Syscoin lost a lot of its value after the rumored Binance "hack" about 2 years ago, and now in a way gets rehabilitated on the exact same exchange.
771  Other / Meta / Re: The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days on: August 22, 2020, 09:17:06 AM
How could I discover this thread only now? Great work LoyceV - and kudos to the new not-spamming members. I've left 1 Merit to you for your OP, and I hope you won't mind if I spend the rest to the new contributors here. Wink

edit: sadly, also a lot of spammers in this list... meaning there's still a lot of Meriting for crap.

775  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: August 20, 2020, 08:37:42 AM
Another Einstein here, who refers with one account to "his" message, which he actually wrote with his alt account.

The truth about crypto currency is that it is more about hodling, technically, crypto is hodling.
Most people that has been able to take profit from crypto currency trade or investment are those that have mastered the act of hodling.

Knowing when to hodl, when not to hodl is an important skill you need.

Next, with an account that has the same sig, and only 46 seconds after OP, which means this must be copy-paste (I could not even read OP in 46 seconds, let alone, write a reply):

If you want to make a good profit with out any hesitation then holding is the proper way because it is very easy. On the other hand trading is not easier than holding. Before holding one should be more calculative and experienced. Without experience trader will not make profit. I think trading is more risky then holding.

And then the grand finale, referring to "my" message with an other account:

I think you do not understand the context of my message, I reiterate once again that crypto currency is all about hodling. What matters is when you hodl, and when you trade which is equilvalent to the potentials you stated.

We are on the same lane.

Managing more than one account at the same time, most be a real pain in the ass and 24/7 job! Cool Roll Eyes

I am however not sure how to report this, except for shit posting (because indeed, his accounts post a lot of words, but they don't mean sh*t).

(...)

It is difficult for theymos to accept your invitation and be online on the forum to answers all the questions. Perhaps we can compile all the questions and ask him to reply once he get the time. A similar initiative was also started here [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members but that's also offline interview.

Read the whole thread, mate. I said A dev:

If I understood well, OP only used theymos as an example.
778  Other / Meta / Re: "Forum User's Day" on: August 15, 2020, 11:44:54 AM
As they say, "no guts no glory". We can talk about this for ages, but I gave it a shot and sent a message to a dev, proposing him to do a one-time one-hour Q&A on these boards.

Expecting nothing, but hoping for a positive reaction, I'll keep you posted.

Fingers crossed!
779  Economy / Services / Re: NATIVE TRANSLATION Team(Chinese-Korean-Japanese-Spanish-Turkish-French-and more) on: August 15, 2020, 11:03:00 AM
Translated Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Turkish,Thai and Hindi pages on my site, qualitative, fair prices, pretty easy to deal with thank you for your service.

Hey kriptohaberweb,

Thank you very much for your message,it was our pleasure to work with you.

You'd better post a link to that website you translated for this dude in 6 languages and even got quality controlled and paid already, and all this in hardly more than 48 hours.

Otherwise some people might believe this is a SCAM.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵🔵🔵 [ANN] S E C U R Y P T O [ANN] 🔵🔵🔵 on: August 15, 2020, 10:02:28 AM
I've tried to reach out and contact the devs via PM, but they haven't been online for a very long time, so sadly no reaction yet.

Still, some good news for those who are still interested in this project: I can confirm that the devs are still active in the Telegram channel and that, only a few days ago, they confirmed that development is still on-going.
