761  Other / Meta / Re: Large number of face mask selling threads in marketplace board on: May 07, 2020, 11:59:38 AM
To be honest I dont see a problem here if the masks are legit!
They are sellers looking to make a few bucks and they were/are selling when there was a shortage of masks.

Supply and Demand makes the price, if you need a mask right now and can't find them anywhere you're willing to pay more...

The problem is that most of these threads don't even have contact information so it is impossible to verify whether they are legit or not.
Well I guess the only way left for us to know whether they are scam or not is if someone raise a complaint. For now, let's give the benefit of the doubt.

But honestly, I think chances for them to get customers is small especially that washable face masks can already do the job of protecting you from the virus unless you are a frontliner who are having a direct contact with the patient.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 07, 2020, 10:27:43 AM
That's the media, they always report something that is negative because it catches the eyes of the many, we already know that Jordan is great both as a player and a dad, so it's not new anymore but they report that Jordan is gambling or has a gambling addiction, people will begin to speculate and that makes the story very interesting.
Yeah sounds interesting for the ears of the many but how about the condition of the person they are intriguing? Do you think did they care about it? Maybe not. *sigh How sad that such unpleasant way of getting the attention of the mass is now a norm Sad. Some news agencies would do everything just to make a "catchy" headline or ready to become biased for exchange of something.

Like here in our country, one of the leading TV networks here is ordered to shut down by the government which happened last Tuesday because of many anomalies and being biased/doing a black propaganda is one of them. Those are still unproven accusations but who knows Roll Eyes. Maybe they are just covering their own mistakes. (Filipinos out there can relate)
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your favorite gambling game? on: May 07, 2020, 05:17:01 AM
I played Keno, Bingo and Lottery before but it's so boring. The hype it can bring doesn't satisfy me plus the odds of winning is small. On the other hand, Texas Holdem Poker caught my interest however I realized that I'm bad in this card game (losing is more often than winning lol) so I stop as well. That's why the gambling game I considered my favorite today is sportsbetting. Just how unfortunate that it was not on the list Grin.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a beginner look up more boards as much as you can on: May 07, 2020, 02:50:02 AM
For me, I would suggest a beginner should visit and look all boards in this forum. Even if he doesn't like it, he should know what each boards discuss about. After he look all the boards, I think he can choose what boards fit to him.

It's doesn't matter if you want to be an active gambler ( gambling section ), a bitcoin enthusiast ( Bitcoin discussion ), or an economist ( Economics ). But don't forget to look up Meta, Scam accusations, Beginner & Help and Reputation board frequently.
I can relate unto this actually (I am not as experienced as you think lol). I am not only going to Gambling Discussion but also to other boards like you mentioned. Just a clarification, I visit those boards not because its mandatory for every member here. I do it for the sake of learning Cheesy. I mean, as long as you are willing to learn new things you will definitely find a way to get out of the isolation.

So for the newbies out there. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zones. I'll guarantee you that you can adapt, just be courageous. Besides, it's fun to explore so I suggest you to visit Serious Discussion as well because that's the place where most of the topics are deep. You'll enjoy Wink.
765  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining: Halving will destroy the half of us. on: May 07, 2020, 12:38:37 AM
I don't think the halving event is the end of the small miner.
But of course you cannot disregard the other factors need to consider most especially the electric consumption. Because I saw posts of selling Antminers and GPUs sometimes on crypto groups I joined on Fb. Take note, they are on a fresh condition. Thus we can conclude that small scale mining is not worthy (or at least less profitable) anymore. Well, maybe only here in our country tho since its hotter here and have more expensive electricity Grin.
If after the halving event, the price of btc exceeds the $ 20k ,
Really? Are you a fortune teller lol? We are not sure of that dude. I hope it will happen but I'm not relying on that expectation Smiley.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you newbie looking for perceive income? Just be careful of AIRDROP on: May 06, 2020, 10:10:16 AM
Indeed, forget about it once and for all. Don't get trapped on such false hopes. Instead of paying attention on "easy money" schemes, choose to study on how to trade. Whether it is daytrading or hodling, it will be all worth of your time because you know that it was a legit way of earning Smiley.

And I hope the bounty or campaign now doesn't end up like the airdrop trend that used to be a lot of scams
Not good either dude. Though I haven't experienced being a bounty hunter, I might say that they are also no longer profitable according to the bad comments from the audiences. Everything change after the ATH. Hmm, what remains the same I think is the sig campaigns (aside from merit requirements) Cheesy.

767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2020, 05:52:20 AM
Francis Ngannou form is scary. He seems to have lost some weight, gained speed, but his strikes are as deadly as always. True machine, I dont know what Rozenstruik could show against him, as he seems slower. I predict a KO in first round.
The physique of a fighter can intimidate his opponent but this is not scale of higher winning rate. MMA is not a body building contest after all Cheesy. I give you few examples. Frank Mir defeted Lesnar by submission, Dc knocked out Miocic and many more. See? Fighting IQ can beat Muscles.

For me both Predator and Rozenstruik are considerably slow and that's normal in the HW division Grin. What matters the most here is the cardio and punching power. Ngannou is definitely strong, no questions about it. However I cannot underestimate the underdog since he made Overeem's lips tear apart lol. That was insane!
768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best YouTube channel about cryptocurrency. on: May 05, 2020, 10:52:07 AM
Wow Shocked I'm not expecting that you got so many channel on the list. I solely subscribed to The Crypto Lark and just choose in random recommendations if I feel the need to watch other contents so this list can absolutely help me. Also, this could help the newbies here because its easier to learn through infographic animations Cheesy. Maybe I'll visit them one by one later, thanks.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: May 05, 2020, 03:34:23 AM
Scientist are trying hard for alternative energy sources and solar energy might be the alternative everyone will be using because it is environment friendly without any pollution, yet we are not in a situation to say that fossil fuel will not be used in the next decade.
It can actually. Solar power got a lot of potential however there are hindrances for us to widely use it all over the world. From issues about the climate up to business companies wanting this into halt Sad. These video might lead you to many realizations. Please watch:

https://youtu.be/CS3bBO05fpU
https://youtu.be/Uw_bweN_90E

If the countries competing get together and cut the production then the price will recover.
You are not glad that there's a mass price rollback? Why seems you want oil prices to recover? Hmm, I think it is better to remain this way especially that we face financial crisis. Such decline on the price of this commodity absolutely lessens our burden Smiley.
770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Airdrops are real ? on: May 04, 2020, 12:56:52 PM
I browse the Internet to make sure of what I've known but I found nothing (maybe because I dig a little). Thus I'm skeptical if BTC really got an airdrop back on its beginning days. But one thing is for sure, if you saw that there's a btc airdrop in the present tumes then better for you to avoid it. It sounds good but most probably it was a scam because it's illogical to think of some company out there willing to give a valuable asset for free Roll Eyes.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: May 04, 2020, 09:19:43 AM
I know the right answer is to HODL and just let the sit back and relax but it wont grow my Bitcoins amount.
Yeah! With the remaining amount of coins you had since 2012 (I presume you did not invest it all on 2019), I'm sure you can able to make profits with thr current price of btc. Today is could be a good exit for you but it would be much better if you continue to wait until halving was done Smiley. But aside from that, the best way I coud only imagine for you to earn more is through daytrading. But I'm just curious that you don't know about it despite of being old in the crypto world, well I guess you are just not into it Cheesy. Hmm, have you tried establishing your own business? That's a nice way too.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: May 04, 2020, 05:49:24 AM

1. Just because a golden year occurred in the past doesn't mean we will witness such again, yes it's possible but better adapt to present condition.
What matters the most in every project, whether this year is a prosperous season or not, is the legitimacy. For sure that most bounty hunters were still okay if there are only few projects around or even small rewards are given as long as they will receive at the end of it. Unfortunately, this is not what supposed to happen all the time, scams and/or unprofessional managers continue to rise. So I can't blame if some of hunters lose hope and already got a bad impression on bounties as a whole. Even me can't adopt on such environment Grin.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: May 04, 2020, 02:14:07 AM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.
No.. It is unfair to use "only" because crypto (bitcoin in this case) really offers faster transaction and other practical features for us. I think the word "mainly" is more appropriate Cheesy. Well, I am not a hypocrite do deny that lol. I also harness btc's volatile price to earn money. But even though we are a little bit shifting into main vision of btc, for me there's still nothing wrong about it because the opportunity of earning was already there so tendency everyone will definitely take advantage of it. Plus, there's no rule saying that we cannot use it for trading thus no need to feel guilty at all.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: How can the corona virus end Faster and economy reopen on: May 04, 2020, 12:43:06 AM
There is a good update coming from Israel on search for for the vaccine which can beat Covid 19. I heard about this news (just only the headline) yesterday. According to the news, 6 out of 6 illed patients are all treated after undergoing a placenta based treatment Shocked. This is a great breakthrough as it could be the long awaited cure for the virus. My hope is rising that the pandemic will finally end soon.

775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: May 03, 2020, 11:01:27 AM
So, get back to your time of present, you must need some limiting feature in terms of hours. It can be from a mobile alarm or a friendly warning from family members but a perfectly working one should be what that casino itself not letting you to continue, agree?
A casino which prohibits you from gambling? Why would they do that? It's all a matter of business for them. They don't care how addicted you are because the more the money you spend, the happier they are. Maybe the casino itself will only interfere the moment you create some commotion.

With regards about the physical limitong feature, it can be an effective one. However, we had saying that "If there's a will, there's a way" Grin. Even how many phone calls came from your friend or even how many alarms you set, they will be all pointless if you are really eager to gamble. So for me what is more important for limiting yourself  is self discipline. Because if you are disciplined enough, such simple temptation can't defeat you Smiley
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin can no longer be mined on: May 03, 2020, 07:23:28 AM
It would not be possible that all the 21 million bitcoin will be mined, imagine a 1 BTC is really hard to have how about 21 million and as of now bitcoin or other cruptocurrency is not well known to all countries in this world.
It's not actually impossible, it only takes a very long time for us to do so. Twenty one million bitcoins could be all mined by the end of 2140 (just an estimated timeline tho). Anyway, there's no need for us to think of btc's depeletion simply because we surely not reach that far lol Grin.

But going back to the topic, I only think of two possibilities when bitcoin's supply depleted:
1) It's price will soar even higher. Remember, the Law of Supply and Demand.
2) People will lose interest to it and switch to alt, most probably eth or bch (just my own opinion tho). And that lucky alt would be the new king Smiley.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best platform to practice poker on: May 03, 2020, 04:24:04 AM
I learned playing it with the use of my smartphone. I just download apks (you can also directly download on Play Store) of poker games from the Internet. These are my recommendations:
1. Governor of Poker
2. Zynga Poker - this is better since you can play ot online.
3. Chinese Poker Online - if you want to try aside from Texas Holdem.

I also watch poker matches in Facbook and Youtube to get few tips particularly on how to bluff lol Cheesy.
778  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: May 03, 2020, 02:44:23 AM

Agree! After the crisis we need to focus more on preserving the environment, health, economy, and we need to be more sustainable.
Yup! We ought to take care of our environment even more because you know what, I sometimes think that this Covid 19 pandemic is just Mother Nature's revenge to us. Now, good things are happening during the quarantine across the globe. Dolphins are going back to Italy, we can heard news of baby turtles found on the shore, air pollution decline significantly and one of the biggest holes on our ozone layer in the Arcticel is now healing. See? Searching for another habitable planet is not necessary since it is really possible to cure our own Smiley. I thought at first that it is not possible, but it really was. What we need to do after this pandemic is to minimize the harm we generate and learn from our lessons. This is a second chance for all of us Smiley
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 02, 2020, 02:11:47 PM
he will not retire but he will not play in the internal games anymore, just my guess.
castro wants to end his career in a high note, so he is wanting a championship before he will retire.
I know, what I mean is on his FIBA career Cheesy. He's not that too old, I believe that he can do more. For me his athleticism is still present and I can't feel that his speed diminished to be honest. Anyway about getting a championship before ending his career? Hmm I am not sure about it. The competition is on a whole new level now. TNT should make their line up more solid especially that superteams are now existing Grin.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: May 02, 2020, 09:45:08 AM
Air drop made a profit when I started, in 2016. Now airdrop is 95% cheating. So I do not spend time on them. And the bounty of good projects is less. But they are, so people who wrote that most of the coins die. This is normal, you just need to select projects better.
Indeed, that's why my mentor was able to earn money for buying a motorcycle. Actually, it was an accumulated savings both from bounty projects and airdrops Cheesy. Even though I never experienced those things, I can say that they are good ways of earning couple of years ago. Unlike now, whether in airdrops or bounty, scams are chronic. Only few good projects exist nowadays and how sad that even some of them got a fair future.
