761  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-04-19] A Basic Bitch's Guide to Bitcoin on: April 20, 2016, 04:14:00 AM
I wonder what the author wanted to achieve with this article. Attracting girls to bitcoin? Surely not. Except the word bitch somehow turned to somewhat cool.

Might be the words meaning changed but I think the author needs to learn a bit about advertising. Or does he await girls say "Hey let's use bitcoin and be a bitch...".

Dunno...
762  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: MISSING INVESTMENT on: April 20, 2016, 04:11:59 AM
I have deposited an amount of P25 but it doent appear in the investment section in dobtc.win...  please help !!

Nothing can be done here. Why did you invest in a scam site? Or did you await there are people out there that somehow are able to double up your money? If they were able to then they would do it with their own money and would be unbelievably rich in a very short timeframe.

Wrong decision on your side. Your coins are gone.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling ~2747 Lisk at .002. Details on how escrow will work in OP on: April 20, 2016, 03:53:22 AM
We can handle it the way you suggested.

Be cautious of posting more than one post after another while wearing a signature. You can get banned for it.
764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim "refugee" welfare parasites - 91.4% on food stamps, 68.3% on cash welfare on: April 20, 2016, 03:43:53 AM
Welfare parasites? I like the idea but I don't see how anyone on welfare isn't a parasite. We shall put an end to all welfare programs, then we'll see if there will as many refugees coming. Borders would suddenly become useless. Only the adventurous would move abroad, and those people (yes, I'm one of them) have never needed welfare.

yeah....without welfare, borders would suddenly become useless...a true nugget of wisdom....

How about you tell that to all the tax dodgers uncovered by the Panama papers, they're the true welfare parasites.

Hey, think that if there were no welfare, they would be much, much less tax. So there would no need to to put your money abroad. Tax dodgers? They are heroes trying to save some money from the oppressive hands of Big Brother regimes like there is in the UK or Russia.

Less social assistance means more crime as people look for ways to survive. You seem to think there is a tax free way to go about life where every one flourishes. Its just not that simple to turn your back on people in need and quite often those that are in need are people you would not suspect around you. Unless you live behind a gated fence, that would explain the thinking.

I certainly don't live in a gated fence. Quite the contrary, and I'm very familiar with people in need, as I've spent many years in third world countries. That taught me it's possible to live with $100 a month. You don't live the way Americans or people from Western people are used to, but it's possible, and without turning to crime.

You don't mean living with that amount in a western country, right? If you do then you only can mean living on the streets or taking the help of shelters and other organizations and places, right?
765  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: April 20, 2016, 03:41:08 AM
Thanks again for all the reviews. Appreciate them. Smiley

Let me know when you need an escrow again. Smiley
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: April 19, 2016, 09:05:23 PM
Sorry for the typo... 0.63b was the amount I wanted to mention. Tongue

By the way... those wanting a refund please send your received coins to the burn address

Code:
LemonBurnXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXVVjjm8

and I will refund you.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling ~2747 Lisk at .002. Details on how escrow will work in OP on: April 19, 2016, 08:45:56 PM
I can provide escrow though in order to understand it fully I have some questions and some concerns.

I think I had to deal with a similar ico from a coin that gave out passphrases. Maybe it was lisk, I forgot. The problem is, a seller can hedge with selling. Like you say ThePatient, the seller is in a favorite position. He could potentially back out, sell to another user when the worth of the lisks rise very high. Or force the buyer to buy when the worth drops.

Well, you have an account that is worth a bit but enough to back the lisks worth?

Anyway... I would prefer not to install another wallet in order to prevent risks of malware and such. So When I received the coins and the passkey... on real ico I could directly use the lisk address of the buyer that he told me and ThePatient in a group pm, right? Or is there a problem with that?

Otherwise, let me know. If the lisks worth is more than $1000 I can offer multisig escrow 2 of 3 too. It's a bit more complicated for all parties but it's easy enough with electrum.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [LEMON] [ICO] LemonCoin ICO starting! on: April 17, 2016, 10:39:02 PM
I post this as the escrow of this ICO. In the other thread some doubts came up. It seems it is not a clear thing so a decision had to be made by me how to protect everyone the best way.

Check out this post of mine and my post before that. Please let me know if you want me to release your coins to the issuer or if you want to get your bitcoins refunded.

You should also ask for their Lemon coins so that those will be destroyed, else everybody will say, i want a refund but keeping his coins, so they have free lemon coins.

That's correct. I thought about what should happen with the coins. Sending them to the burn address that was used for burning the other coins or sending them back to lemons?

with the lemons!

So far I received 3 requests for refund for a total of 6.3bitcoins so it does not look like too many stopped believing in the coin. Though I did not get a request for releasing an investors coins to you. Might be that some investors do not care about anymore. So I think a deadline should be made that gives everyone a to refund and after that all remaining funds will be seen as in consent with releasing them to you.

I think a week might sound fair for you and for investors. If someone bought then he should care at least so far as to check the threads of this coin.

I might make a post in the ICO thread though so more investors can make their decision.

So I take it you see it as the correct way to burn their lemons? I guess using the burn address you used should not be a problem, is it?
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: April 16, 2016, 02:29:49 PM
@All

Ok guys... I have read this thread and checked back with some altcoin seniors to ask them for their opinion. It's a pity that things are not confirmable anymore when servers were taken down so it was hard to say something about it for them.

The posts on here look like one could become cautious though.

Since I can't really decide I can offer the following: Every investor can contact me and proof his investment. Then he tells me if I should refund him or if I should forward his investment to the issuer.

Spacecreditcoin

The coins I hold in escrow still belong to the investors so I can't embezzle those funds by arbitrarely deciding to send it to some exchange. The more with the doubts that came up.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: April 15, 2016, 01:00:48 AM
So far I still hold the bitcoins from investors and have not the intention of releasing them as long as the situation does not clear.

I will wait if lemon can come up with a good response and consult some altcoin ico scambusters for their opinion.

So far investors funds will be kept in safety...
772  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 280 BTC , prefer one buyer on: April 14, 2016, 09:26:13 PM
I was told that there are bitcoin services that provide you with a signed message of your choice from an address that holds the amount you specify.

Just saying...

Holy cow ! Isn't this the signed message thingy they all talk about ?  Cheesy

Yeah, if OP could sign a message from the address holding the coins, it would be even better !

Signing messages proofs that you control a certain address. No one other can do that except he knows the private key of that address.

Though it's not really helpful as proof that someone owns a certain amount of coins since it can be faked when some other persons that actually holds such amount, gets paid and provides a signed message. The scammer could then "proof" that he owns that amount even though he doesn't. So it's not a very safe proof in that case.
773  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon Accounts with giftcard balance on: April 14, 2016, 09:22:35 PM
In usual case no one will ever demand it back if you use it, but the risk it that you wont be able to use the balance, Amazon will almost immediately block your account after you place the order.

A better way of buying that balance would be to ask the seller to send you an eBook as a gift and then once you receive it you can ask the customer support chat to exchange that eBook for GC balance.

Well, I had it happen once that police asked me to come to them and speak with them. At least the service I used was helpfull and helped me explaining that I was another culprit of that case even though I received an item.

I'm not so sure about your second paragraph. If it would be that easy then hackers would do it on their own with multiple accounts.
774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Senate bill draft would prohibit unbreakable encryption on: April 14, 2016, 09:16:21 PM
It's even worse in the US. Companies can be threatened to help the police and such and are forced to not reveal anything. Otherwise they are sued and company will die. Only some owners will decide to close their company like that guy with that anonymous remailer or was it was. Most will fear losing their million dollar business.

So you will not know if such thing will happen. That's why I would not trust a software the US government has control about indirectly.
775  Economy / Auctions / Re: nitrogensports.eu account with lowest number ever seen #101 on: April 14, 2016, 04:15:05 PM
okay let me know the details of what the bidders need to do
all the details will be provided by SebastianJu to the winner as he is well trusted escrow provider and i am not sure how he is going to handle this trade but i am sure he knows how to do that at his best.

bidding is on!

next bid : 0.11 or more!

I can do that, yes. Though I can only ensure the trade, not checking the account or so since I don't know if the account has the risk of being able to claim back.

If bidders informed themselfes and still want to proceed then they can go on.
776  Other / Meta / Re: Automatically exchange words on the forum? on: April 13, 2016, 08:47:15 PM
Never heard of an account reinstated only because of a previous email address.

Account could have changed ownership maybe and the new user changed the email. And did not know or care about getting a signature as proof of a non hacked account.

Most probably the account was sold already. Should be seen in seclog.

It makes sense when experienced users can see the blocked url...
The problem is that with the trend of selling accounts, rank is no longer correspondent to how experienced the user is. This is proven by the amount of Senior-Hero members that don't understand something simple such as the Activity system.

Exactly... sometimes it looks like users on here tell their mom and their uncle about how to earn big money on a forum. They might even earn more than they could earn working in their country fulltime. Or at least it's a great addition.

Now I can't get to my account "losmilos" anymore, they changed my password and email address.

You are lucky they only did that. And it's a pity that this same url still is in bad use. I had a lot of conversation with the scammer that owns that website from the time where a user lost 260$ because of him stealing the account and then starting a trade... stealing funds that way. So you are lucky he only changed pass.

Thanks for your reply.

I never posted a message which an address to my bitcoin wallet. But can't an admin see which email adres was originally used to create my losmilos account? It was losmilos@hotmail.com. Isn't that sufficient to get my account back?

After they got my Bitcointalk account, I also received a phishing mail to verify my account at Hotmail and one to verify my Poloniex account. But those were very poor phishing sites using a hacked website. I'm very glad to use different passwords for all my logins, otherwise my Poloniex account would have been emptied too...
777  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 280 BTC , prefer one buyer on: April 13, 2016, 08:43:39 PM
Can you send the 280BTC to an address and share it with us ?

If you prove ownership of those coins, the deal will be easier to settle.

I was told that there are bitcoin services that provide you with a signed message of your choice from an address that holds the amount you specify.

Just saying...
778  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon Accounts with giftcard balance on: April 13, 2016, 08:39:45 PM
TheVariable

You sell for 50 to 24% of the giftcard balances worth? That doesn't sound like these balances can be legit. If they would be legit then you could get way more for it and the amount of work would be similar.

You carded the amounts I guess?

its 100% legit money. the money will be shown in gift card balance in the account.

Of course it will be there. The question is if someone will demand it back at one time.

You would want to explain your high discount I guess.

jonatucz

Escrow can't help since the balance will be there for sure. Mostly carding victims don't find out instantly but after weeks or months. Escrow can't protect that long.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: April 13, 2016, 08:23:28 PM
Withthelemons... it would be good when you could post something regarding the nodes topic.

Just as information for shareholders, I still hold the bitcoins from lemoncoins investment in escrow.
780  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please. Under any circumstances, do not ever hit your children. on: April 13, 2016, 01:33:26 PM
This has been debated to death and many psychiatrists or psychologists will tell you that hitting children is a bad idea, I'm glad to see you've actually thought about it because parents are never people that children should fear, I do feel that the ones who try and justify this kind of behaviour are sociopaths who just want to control their children through fear and quite often they'll even admit it to your face.

Nope... you don't know that some hardcore christians believe on the word from the bible "Whoever loves his child will beat him." As in... "If you want a good future for your kid you have to lead him the right way."

There are people that believe in such old rules and of course they might feel pain by doing so but it's the word of god... it's a good thing... you know? Roll Eyes
