7741  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Can I hire blockchain tech consultant for a project here? on: September 27, 2017, 10:33:41 PM
I am sorry to say but you are not in the right place I doubt you will find someone serious here. You will have more chance to deal with a scammer, pseudo expert... Better to look at LinkedIn

I can recommend you to talk with Bjørn Bjercke who has an extensive experience as you can see from his Linkedin page below
https://linkedin.com/in/bbjercke

You may also reach him on Twitter https://twitter.com/bamsebk?lang=en
and maybe find an email on his website http://rettit.no/mrbitcoin/index.php?title=Main_Page

For sure he will able to point you on a better road than here
7742  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Virtual Debit Card Without The Low Load Limit on: September 27, 2017, 09:28:24 PM
Hey,

I am currently in search for a new provider (Virtual Debit Cards with can be loaded with bitcoins) which does not have that ridiculously low load limitation ($250) and which can be bought without any identification. I am using the card a lot for online purchases, so I can indirectly pay with bitcoins.

Anyone?

Yeah, the new regulations in Europe is pretty frustrating for anonymous bitcoin card users.

All the virtual debit card providers that support bitcoin seem to be adopting this new regulation because most is based in Europe where the new regulation takes place. I would strongly suggest getting verified with just one of them, i would recommend wirex/bitwala, they are the simplest ones to use. However, if you are willing to take the risk there are still a few that will give you nice limits without ID.

Bitplastic.com is one of the oldest out there but is extremely dodgy. As you can see the UI is outdated af. Only use this as your last refuge, if everything else fails. What I would recommend though is go to advcash, register an account, go to changer.com, exchange your bitcoin into advcash, and get a virtual debit card that has like $3000 per day limits i believe. However, you are trusting a company in Belize...

Obviously, you don't know about the site, you surely searched in hurry to have something to post. This website is a scam since years and redirecting to Dell remote access controller since a long time now
It could be good if you search before telling wrong advice to people, especially when it's about money

@AppleKuchenX8
They all have this ridiculously low amount unless you are planning to be verified with one of them I don't think you will find higher
7743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Opinions and suggestions on exchanges on: September 27, 2017, 08:48:52 PM
I use kraken, Bittrex and Cryptopia mainly. I stick with them as I don't like to have to create an account in several exchanges. I think 2-3 are enough as long they give you what you're looking.

What I like at Cryptopia are the pairs alt/alt. I think Kraken is the one I prefer but it's because it's the one feeding my bank account and I like how fast the process is. Bittrex is good since they have a nice volume and a huge list of coins to trade.
7744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Reaction on: September 27, 2017, 07:53:59 PM
Ask around you if they heard recently about this reptilian telling Bitcoin is shit. And people from the Bitcoin community are now used to read this kind of thing

Bad publicity is still free advertising and good to take

7745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is PayPal now feeling the pressure from Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2017, 05:43:31 PM
This has been the Paypal ideology for years. Paypal is not interested to just provide a payment processor to people. Paypal has always made dream to be the major bank using their unique banking system. If you visit the Paypal labs in USA you will see some crazy things that they are working on.  Remember the ideology of the Elites? One bank for all. This is what Paypal is building about.
7746  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex or Poloniex. which one do you like to trade? on: September 27, 2017, 05:28:07 PM
I hate Poloniex, I don't know exactly why. I find the UI is irritating me. I logged 2-3 times and it's enough for me. Add the stories here and there with people having problems with them....
Bittrex is a good one, everything is ok, the only thing is I don't like the black color and my account has been compromised one-time several months back
7747  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is crytopia a reliable trading exchange? on: September 27, 2017, 05:06:35 PM
It's a good site. I am using it since several months now and never have any problem. In fact, I got 1 had say the truth, I had a problem while registering but they have been very helpful to help me with my issue. Since then everything is going smooth. One of the advantages with Cryptopia is as they are not big as some others you get a better support from them, and not some copy pasted replies
7748  Other / Meta / Re: This section is a mess. on: September 27, 2017, 04:47:05 PM
I also agree this section is weird. A lot of stupid questions asked again and again for the 18th time. In 99% fo the time, it is already explained somewhere (in  a previous topic, sticky thread..)

To fix this, I'd firstly suggest a new sub-board for those with hacked/locked accounts to post in. It's obvious that this is a fairly large problem as of late, and having a single sub-board for it would make life easier for those needing to find these topics in addition to making the Meta section much more interesting to read and take part in.

What about to find why those accounts are suddenly compromised. And give rights to a Mod to unlock them.
7749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So the China Bitcoin ban is because NORTH KOREA on: September 26, 2017, 11:47:10 PM
Don't take this article seriously.  I am surprised such a looooong and deep article has been published by the NYP
John Crudele is anti Bitcoin and says it's bullshit. If you read random articles from him you will see he usually write a decent length article but when it's about Bitcoin, he writes 3-4 sentences only and brings nothing journalistic, only seeking attention on him.
Here is another example with an article from him related to Bitcoin

7750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Price Is Behaving Sticky on: September 26, 2017, 11:31:17 PM
Traders are just watching the price without knowing what to with it. Most are balancing between to wait to see if the price will decrease again or to think "I should buy but but but....I don't know, why not wait..."
Everyone is watching other to see what they do, but nobody does something, so they keep watching each other...
7751  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken's response today on: September 26, 2017, 10:29:17 PM
Since when the status is showing "success"?
It showed that immediately when I did the transaction.

Then they don't have a problem with funding only but with withdrawals too. When you request a transfer to your bank account the status shows "initiated" then "sending" (once you see this you're sure to receive the next day when you wake up) and finally "success"( is showing at the end of the day you got your payment)

Hope you get your problem fixed asap. :/
7752  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC purchase with prepaid card ? on: September 26, 2017, 12:12:03 PM
Purse equals a 15%-30% fee. It would be my last resort
Bitit requires 3D secure
Paymium only accepts cards registered in France which is not my case (Malta)
Purchasing my quest  Huh

Purchasing Bitcoin with a card is usually charged higher, (~10%). So between a 10% fee to buy with your card and a 15% fee from Purse.io, there is only a 5% difference. Sometimes there are items listed for less than 15% also.
There are still LocalBitcoin where I have seen some sellers accepting cards (usually with an app) but still a higher fees.
7753  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [EU] reputable t-shirt printing service on: September 25, 2017, 11:41:29 PM
I used vistaprint.fr to buy some t-shirts and mug with crypto stuff. They deliver items worldwide. Tshirts are "fruit of the loom" quality. Can't complain about it. It's not Louis Vuitton quality but it's not Lidl as well. The color and size don't change after washing it.
The only thing is they don't accept Bitcoin
7754  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC purchase with prepaid card ? on: September 25, 2017, 08:32:45 PM
You may try https://bitit.io/ but the thing is that after  25$ you will need to be a verified member by providing ID documents. Another solution is Paymium, it won't ask any document below a $1000 limit. I think with Bitwala, as you can buy Bitcoin theren, you can use a card only (they have a partnership with another company) may be good to try also. Which ones have you tried till now? It's quite hard to deal with cryptos and cards.
7755  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Physical bitcoin debitcard? on: September 25, 2017, 07:42:44 PM
Yes there are many, I don't know much about them because it's not something I personally would use but a quick google search throws out plenty to look in to.

Do you have any rekommendations?

Bitwala, Advcash, Cryptopay, Xapo, Coinbank, Spectrocoin, BitPay, Wirex... If you are a European citizen. All of them provide the same card issued by MyChoice (a Visa intl company) So you will find the fees quite similar.

If you are not from Europe then the only choice you have is Wagecan

Hi,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, due to a temporary technical difficulty with USD funding for US residents, we will be unable to address your issue for an undetermined period of time. All other site functions are working as intended. Please let me know if there is any other assistance you need. We will update you as soon as this current issue is resolved.

Warm Regards,

I checked my withdrawal status at https://www.kraken.com/u/funding/withdraw , and it's said "success" for weeks…

Try to reply again because the staff support is making confusion between funding and withdrawal. The reply says they have a technical difficulty with USD funding for US citizens but your problem is about withdrawal. Sometimes they reply in hurry and give an unrelated answer.
Since when the status is showing "success"? Usually it shows "success" after you received the transfer (like the next day)

but in credit card and debit card the transaction can be tracked but in bitcoin it can not be tracked

that was my indirect point...

Come on! The thieves don't use the stolen cards to shop online or to buy cigarettes. They go to the first ATM machine they find and get as much money as they can. How do you trach this money so? Who is damn stupid to steal a card and shop with it.... and why not get delivered at home

There iq no diference if you go out with a card or with a BTC wallet on your smartphone with some bucks into
7758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxless and free society? on: September 24, 2017, 07:13:09 PM
You can not run a country without taxes. Who is going to pay to build hospitals, schools, road, educational program or whatever? The government? But from where the money will come from? Not the sky, can't rely on loans forever. A govt. can't ake full income by trading cryptos.
Taxes are needed to improve and sustain a country
7759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the week we see the $4500? on: September 24, 2017, 07:01:20 PM
We won't see the value coming back to $4500 before December or 2018. Be happy the price has not gone below 3500$. Add the fact that all those people who used Bitcoin as an investment will start to say here and there how they lose money and how Bitcoin is useless to them. You can also add the fact about the fork soon which will increase the volatility and decrease the value as well. Nothing much good in perspective for the next weeks
7760  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [ASK BITCOINTALK] How many of you would use this service? on: September 24, 2017, 03:49:04 PM
Both are already implemented as you can see in the screenshots. You can even invalidade a post manually if the quality isn't good enought.
BitMixer? The campaign stopped because they closed their services.
Already answered:

The bot will even remove Quoted text from post count length calculations when checking if it meets minimum requirements.

Yes, I saw the different screenshot posted, my point is, it it's still needed to check the panel to filter poor quality post then better to do it from the forum directly. Managers can't read the full dissucussion within the panel. So let say you repeat for the 15th the same thing he won't be able to see it

As I said "they stopped after some days" So no, not Bitmixer, as this campaign was running for months (I know they closed the service btw) It was another I just don't remember the name.

Spammers are more smarts than that and don't use a quote tag to make it looking like an original post. I saw it many times

Yes I understand that some manual parts will remain but it would mean that campaign managers won't be able to justify charging $5-10k for managing a campaign. Especially since we're going to open this service up for free.

Eventually I can hook it into an AI or spam filter for better results but that would cost some money. For now I'll just keep improving the post detection algorithm but as mentioned before, you can invalidate posts manually in two clicks.

For sure $5-10k is not justified at all
