781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: May 02, 2020, 05:07:16 AM
It has been more than 40 days now I am under lockdown and I have not gambled yet. I did not feel like gambling in this period of uncertainty. No clue as to when things might get normal or I will have my job, too many things in my mind at the moment. Therefore did not have the urge to gamble at all.
We're same mate. I also did not feel to gamble simply because my savings are now draining Sad. I'm getting more tensed every single day because I'm worrying that time will come when I no longer capable of sustaining even the most basic needs ( I hope this is just a product of overthinking). Fortunately we received relief goods this day so our food for the next upcoming week will not be a problem anymore. D*mn! I hope this suffering will end ASAP. It's killing us particularly the less fortunate
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could, would you delete every altcoin? on: May 02, 2020, 03:05:01 AM
Hey chill dude Grin. I don't like most of the alts but I don't hate them either. It seems you got a bad past with altcoins huh. But kidding aside, if I have a power like that I will not delete all of them. I am not that so so rude. Good and reputable coins such as eth, ltc, xrp etc. will remain; but for the rest of sh*tcoins in the market, bye bye for them lol. They are actually useless since they are left behind after the pump and dump season.

Hard to replace Castro, he is very smart and if necessary he can take over.
A clutch guy as well with a very good dribbling skills and high IQ on the floor, with castro in the floor, the plays are properly manage, that's what I observed of watching him played in a lot of international games.
Indeed but I think it's okay for him to retire now. Yeah we're sad for his exit but he already served our country for quite a long time. I guess this is the right time for him to rest Smiley. Maybe he already realized that he is getting older and/or no longer confident that he still deserve a slot on our national team because of being less competitive.
[snip]

CJ Perez as well. Both Bolick and Perez did really well the last time.
Yeah! Those young rising stars got a big heart. I saw how they push hard last FIBA. Their fighting spirits are burning!
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Suddenly price Change after Bitcoin Halving on: May 01, 2020, 02:42:22 PM
Indeed, there is no significant change in the price, but something else may happen.

Are you high?
We rallied to a 30% rise in one week. We were also at $3800 when the corona virus caused a panic dump. The halving always brings a big price rise due to the reduction of coins available on the market.
I am not sure if he is really serious about what he said but mate that's not true definitely. I know that we are currently experiencing a hard crisis but I think it is too much to say that this year's having won't make the price incline at all. Maybe it will be just less prosperous this year but still it can cause good trend. This Covid 19 pandemic is a big threat which brings a lot of uncertainties but let's not forget to believe in it Smiley.
785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie where do you see yourself in 5years? on: May 01, 2020, 09:16:19 AM
Actually, I also asked myself the same question 6 years ago however it has no relation with crypto. Maybe that's because I don't take my crypto journey too serious like some of you guys. I mean, I am already contented that I earn few bitcoins, wait for it to accumulate and then sell when the right time comes Cheesy. As simple as that! Even though trying new things such as alt investing and daytrading come into my mind sometimes, I still never push myself so hard to attain those stuff. I don't know, I just let the universe lead me to the path it wants for me naturally lol. Staying here in the crypto sphere is just a minor part of my life, I choose to focus more on my life outside.

Nevertheless, you are right. Having an introspection is a good habit. This is an effective way of not only knowing your own purpose but finding actions on how will you achieve it as well. I hope this quote motivates all of the newbies out there, "Don't give up on your dreams,. Keep sleeping." Smiley
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: May 01, 2020, 05:34:00 AM
[snip]
But it is impossible, finding an airdrop which paid in bitcoin. In my life since I know cryptocurrency I haven't found there is a project which held an airdrop and they paid in bitcoin as a reward.
I know dude, I'm just kidding around. I just use btc for a more interesting comparison Cheesy. I know that it will be impossible especially that it was now very valuable. That's why I feel jelous for those people who already discovered it during its beginning days. I actually saw a pic before that you can really claim 5 btc on faucets Shocked. Imagine that, just wow! What more if you joined their airdrop way back then (if there was).
787  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: May 01, 2020, 03:45:05 AM
Hmm, let me presume that the epidemia here in our country end (or at least can be isolated) the moment that the Enhanced Community Quarantine will finally uplifted. The ECQ here in our country will probably end by May 15 as what president announced. After that I don't think everything will go to normal like nothing happened. I mean the stigma was already there. Not only our economy will be greatly affected but all of us. People for sure will be more health conscious due to the presence of anxiety dealt by the virus. I foresee that most of us still wear mask for the rest of our day when we are outside, you can smell scent of alcohol/disinfectant everywhere you go, bondings and gatherings will not become tight and enjoyable unlike before, transportation fees will be affected due to social distancing, a single cough might lead you to discrimination and many more. *sigh But despite all of these, we are all alive and that's enough to show our deepest gratitude to Him. We, mankind, will rise Smiley.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time on: April 30, 2020, 03:25:41 PM
There's no problem with regards to Time because all of us got plenty of it on our own hands so we can really review projects and invest on it if we want to. But I don't think this is the right moment for developers to release their project because most of us got no Capital to grab the opportunity they offer since we are all in the middle of crisis. I'm pretty sure they got think of that tendency.

What others can do is to invest to bitcoin if they are brave enough especially that it is now increasing further Cheesy.
789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The halving Gusto on: April 30, 2020, 12:57:57 PM
Don't tell people not to invest because they are new to this. Tell them to be smart, careful and to invest only the money that they don't need so if they lose it, they won't be broke.
You have a good point dude. That's right however I think this is not really the right time for them to invest since the market is now booming. I can foresee that if they insist it, they might be late for earning. If an expereienced like me don't yet invest then what more for them Cheesy (actually I just miss the boat that's why, my bad *facepalm). Maybe I will wait a little bit longer hoping the price decline.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2020, 07:38:37 AM
“How confident are you that Khabib and Tony will fight at some point this year?” White was asked by a commenter.

“Not very.” White said, following up with, “I’m afraid of what will happen next if we try to make that happen again.”
[/i]
Oh my god! It already came from Dana's mouth. I lose now the slightest hope I had. It seems that Khabib vs Ferguson fight will just be buried and forgotten for a very long time Cry. But well, there is next year, maybe 2021 is the right year for this match up to happen.
Alvarez spoke to James Lynch of theScore MMA and explained why he feels McGregor would best Ferguson if the two ever share the Octagon (h/t BJPenn.com).

“I think Conor would put Tony away. I’d like to see him fight Gaethje, but I’m off the belief he beats Gaethje, but I would like to see the fight. I’d still like to see it. I don’t like the style matchup for him with Khabib. I don’t think he has enough experience in that realm to overcome Khabib at any point.”

Hahaha, so Eddie also believe that Tony can't beat Khabib Grin. Anyway, I think Tony vs Conor would be a great battle as well. They got the same fighting style (though Tony knows more on the ground) so we could expect a bloody combat between them. Nonetheless, Khabib is the goat ~ change my mind lol.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2020, 04:31:48 AM
Whether Gold or Bitcoin, they both posses risks. Their prices are both volatile so there's no guarantee that you will not lose money when you choose either of the two. However, I admit that gold is much safer than crypto at least for now. I mean, it is safer in a sense that it was widely recognized across the globe. Unlike btc, it was banned on other countries because government treat them as enemy. People are still not aware of this new technology thus got less adoptions.

Nevertheless, if you asked me, I still prefer bitcoin because of its decentralization and easy accessibility Cheesy. Plus, it was less hassle since you can buy/sell it even while you are home Smiley.

@SatsLife ~ You should merge your two posts into one dude. That would be much better.
792  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: April 30, 2020, 02:38:06 AM

From my private inbox.
Imagine if your relationship depended on bitcointalk merits
That's what you call Relationship Goals Cheesy. Anyway, though it was a little bit weird that he take earning merit so seriously but still there's nothing wrong it. What ever you did to him, be glad that he sincerely appreciated your good deed. Shaming him this way is not what he deserve.
I'm not the first one and not the last one. This is why we also get tinder screens of private messages etc. If you took this serious and not for fun then go away, we don't need "the politically correct police" here.
I can post all my PMs if I want.
I can't say anything but 'God bless'.
793  Economy / Economics / Re: The true value of money, is it always just a number? on: April 30, 2020, 12:46:47 AM
But from what I've noticed, most people don't keep track of how much money they have, how much they're spending and how much they need...
For a person who earns monthly wage, it could be a yes. Yeah! They wrote their weekly budget but do you think it will be done according to the plan? I don't think so. Simply because that person is confident already that he will earn again so overspending won't matter for him as long as he is not exceeding his limits. This is where being irresponsible begins Sad.

I understand that in order to save money, it is better for me to shop with my wife, who knows all the prices of the products that interest her.
What!? How on earth? What I thought is that women are shopaholics in nature (just in different levels lol). That's why I hate my girlfriend to go with her in the mall unless I'm prepared for squezzing my pocket Grin. You've got a practical partner dude.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 29, 2020, 04:09:03 PM
To be honest, it is not that easy. I've been through a lot and with years and years of trying, I am still not that perfectly cured of addiction. I am still gambling and even though I have those times that I can still control myself, there are still those times that I can't. My will is not that strong, luckily this ECQ held myself from gambling continuously as I can understand myself much more.
Well, I guess that's the life of a gambler. We nonlonger eradicate it within ourselves totally because it is already flowing into our veins. There's no turning back for us since the first time we got the sweet taste of winning. I believe that our body will com to the point that it will seek the rush and excitement we feel there. I guess the least thing we can do is to minimize it (salute to you mate Smiley) as much as we could.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: April 28, 2020, 08:51:29 AM
for me personally, the gift of airdrops is not worth the time. on the one hand when we have completed airdrop work, sometimes it is not always paid for with their tokens. I don't see the same airdrop as it did in 2017, airdrops are a waste of time and completely unprofitable.
I agree no more Grin. Airdrops are not as profitable as it seems. It just sounds good to our ears because you can get coins for free but in reality you are like receiving sh*t which came from heaven lol. Airdrop itself is not the problem, it was a good way of advertising to be fair. The problem is the product (coin) — it is not unique thus lose its demand. It would be more interesting if there is a BTC airdrop Smiley.
796  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your thought during ECQ on: April 28, 2020, 06:30:17 AM
For me,I thought this covid19 pandemic is a wake up call for all of us,not only in the Philippines but all over the world, what if the Corona virus is a man made?and of course the vaccine is also a man made,,and the vaccine contain the chips, that called we save from the covid if we take a vaccine.. but...I read the article before, the article saying we need to wear a chips as our personal identy,we don't have any access like a bank, stores and etc..if we don't have a chips in our body,,,this quarantine think me a lot, what is the meaning of life if this chips happen...should you take the vaccine??
Kabayan, if I were you I'll stop overthinking because your happiness and positivity can be killed. Another advice is that stop relating the reality into the sci fi or conspiracy articles you've read Grin (your story sounds like the New World Order, am I right?). I am not saying those stuff are impossible to happen but please remain calm in these times. Overthinking won't help you at all.

Okay going back to the topic. I don't think it will happen unless the doctors will have our consent or take an implant unto us while we are unconscious (I doubt about it as well). But as far as I remember, most of the vaccines are injectibles. So kabayan, chill and stay at home, wash your hands always Smiley.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 28, 2020, 03:23:09 AM
Khabib and Tony is a wet dream for all the MMA fans for years and yet we are not able to watch the fight for some reason or the other, fifth time the fighters were ready but the virus was not ready to accommodate the fight  Roll Eyes.
we are used to this and if we would see another Tony and Khabib fight many would just say "HERE WE GO AGAIN!"
In simple words, Khabib vs Ferguson is soooo cursed Grin (like what Cormier stated lol). It seems that the universe don't want them to fight inside the octagon. But despite of those annoying cancellations, I'm still hoping to watch them battling for glory. Yeah! This is a wet dream for all of us and it really s*cks but I wish Dana could do something in the near future. He must try and try until he succeed.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: April 28, 2020, 01:38:34 AM
Because bitcoin is a future currency and also has sophisticated technology
I alsoe believe that it was a sophisticated topic thus need to be studied. However, I disagree on the suggestion of making it as a subject in highschool because it was not essential for the youngsters. Don't get me wrong, I am not against this. What I'm just telling is that there's no need to change the curriculum significantly before learning this. Besides, we all don't need to become bitcoin analysts in the future; as long as we know its basic concept then we can already adopt it for good Smiley.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 27, 2020, 06:02:33 AM
@Toptort777 the event is confirmed and will be taking place in Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, and is closed to the public as per their official announcement.
At last it was official! I can now watch fresh MMA fights once again Cheesy. It's been a while since the last time I watched, I missed it a lot lol. I just hope there will be no future problems encountered thus resulting for another postponement because I don't know what to feel already just in case it may not happen. Props to Dana fot pursuing all the stuff.

The old saying is right, "If there's a will then there's a way". Look, meanwhile in Cambodia (I am not sure if it's legit tho).
800  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: April 27, 2020, 03:09:47 AM
Several people panic selling their assets because of the continuos price fall of their coin. I think it is better than to lose big in the long run. Some may still hodl their coins hoping for a  comeback in its price in the future market. But neither ways are better if you have the risk.
besides, there may be other reasons why they can panic selling the coins they have held so far, that is because most of them need money in the current economic situation, because as we know the world economy has largely been weakened and some of them certainly many need money to meet their daily needs

Indeed. I understand the some people who panic sell at this moment because we are all in the same situation. However, I really resist the temptation of selling as much as possible because I know to myself that I might regret if there's a sudden skyrocket happen especially that we are heading in this year's halving. Actually, I am now a little nervous, excited and a little bit skeptical Grin. But whatever happens, I remain hodling and sell based om my nexact necessities only.
