This reminds me of when PirateAt40 said he would get funds to his customers the following Monday after announcing his business BTCS&T was shutting down.
This whole "update you on Monday" thing seems fishy. So they straggle to get things done for at least two weeks. Now it is the weekend and they are just going to go silent for two more days and claim Monday will have more information.
Don't hold your breath. Remember what happened when they first stopped USD wires in June 2013....
All the signs are there people.
Remember what happened when they first stopped USD wires in June 2013....
What happened?

Can anyone explain how i send nxt to solaris wallet??
You cant use the Solaris client to send or receive right now, its still in beta. As of now, you can't send NXT, register aliases or anything else that requires your account secret. As such, you will currently not be asked for your secret in the NXT Solaris client https://nextcoin.org/index.php?topic=2793.0http://nxtsolaris.wordpress.com/works perfect for me sending, receiving. This client is so cool and has so much functionalities. There are only 2 problems with it: closed source and 132MB. Regarding closed source: Look at the roadmap. Regarding size: I wanted to do it hassle-free to make it easy for new users, so both, the NXT core and the jre are included. Once my release cycle slows down, I'll offer client-only downloads (without core and jre). Very nice work. I love it!

Hi guys, Just saw this one the nextcoin forums. Has this been seen yet? Can anyone give him an answer? Seems like a "hidden" cost for most users. https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,3755.0.htmlIs there any way to reduce or outright throttle bandwidth usage of the NXT client?
I've been running NXT client on Windows since mid Dec, upgrading to newest version when new ones are out. The client uses between 150KB/s to 500KB/s. This works out to 390GB to 1.2TB(!) per month. My ISP charges dearly for exceeding 300GB/mo. I first found this out because in Jan I unexpectedly hit 500GB of usage - thanks largely to NXT client. In the first 10 hours of the new month, NXT client (now version 0.5.11) has already racked up 18GB of transfers.
I have high confidence in this next-gen currency, and want to participate in the network. And I don't want to lose NXT due to transparent forging penalties if I don't participate. But I can't pay Comcast another $50-200+ a month to be able to run such a bandwidth hungry app.
Please let me know any way to reduce the NXT client bandwidth consumption, and/or to set explicit throttle limits on it. My apologies if this should be common knowledge, but I've already searched these forums and general internet for throttling or bandwidth related docs or posts and found nothing. Thanks. silence.... were is the great messias now? BTW coudnt you wait to expose this till I was done selling, now everyone will start selling damn and there is more... just wait... ? Let sum up what we have finished here: - Decentralized Alias System / DNS: yes but not Complete- Basic DDoS Protection: Complete? - Decentralized Asset Exchange / Colored Coins: NO- Transparent Mining: NO- Arbitrary Messaging: Complete but absolete- Instant Transactions: NO- Decentralized Marketplace / Auction: NO- Distributed Storage: NO- Multi-signatures: NO- Blockchain Shrinking: NO- Two-phase Payments: NO- Voting System: NO- Reputation System: NO- Decentralized Mixing Service: NO- Distributed Computing: NO- Smart Contracts: NO- Hardware Wallets: NO- Advanced DDoS Protection Project Kharo: NO- white paper: NO- Client: NOWhat do we have: bloated Blockchain that uses GB's of traffic that no one can afford! hot air unclaimed coins 12 laughing rich initial founders. rats leaving the sinking ship already + an idiot spreading fud

But why does one of the developers sell all of his stash in the project he is currently working on..? :-/
V V V I'm selling 1'366'334 NXT for 100 BTC. Anyone?
I should have added that it's the price with 10% discount to market price. Why are you selling so much? It's all I have left. I'm going to fund a project but I recalled how easy my last donation was deanonymized. Now buying bitcoins, mixing and buying nxts back is the only reliable way to break links between accounts. Send it to dgex and let it send you back to a new account?

Anyone wants to buy 1'366'334 NXT for 100 BTC in one big chunk? It's ~10% off the market price.
you are like a community leader here and you sell almost half of your stash(or something like it, you have mentioned in the past) before all the features are implemented? doesn't sound too good. It's all my stash. I have less than 1.5M left. But why does one of the developers sell all of his stash in the project he is currently working on..? :-/

Come on people:
Someone must feel responsible and competent enough? (besides optical who apparently can't make it?)
There's many names floating around here.
Not-attending is sending a message...
I am asking this with a lot of respect: why is optical such a good candidate to attend a q&a session regarding the code? Is he a member of the dev team? Did I miss something? (absolutely no offense, just want to understand)

We are so freakin' decentralized, we even don't get one guy on a plane. But we have great motherf**king developing going on! I like it Well.. Decentralized shouldn't mean unorganized. But I am affraight that is the negative part of decentralization. Noone is responsible..

Sorry for posting this here, but it realtes to Nxt, too.
Is there a remote desktop application for android available? I would like to access my Cubietruck (with android on it) and see the "desktop" like I am used to it with Teamviewer. Is it possible? Or should I install linux? Is it possible with linux? What sw to use? I would like to use my Cubietruck as an Nxt node AND as a media box.

@NxtChoice: Better remove the protective screen from the case plates, so it actually becomes transparent No, seriously, what kind of output such a tiny solar panel has? Especially on a cloudy day like in the picture.
What are you using it for?
It's a high-weight hallmark NXT node (raspnxt.hopto.org). The panel has an output of 3-4W in direct sunlight. That'd be more than enough to run the cubie at full load with full core clock. However, below the panel (in the badass cardboard case I made ) is a 2Ah LiPoly that acts as a buffer. I also use external power from a USB hub now that it's winter, but in summer this should be capable of running autonomously with some more tweaks and lower clocks. What do you think about running android on it? Which Linux would be the best to run on a cubietruck? (I have absolutely no experience with linux at all)
|
|
|
Is there a manual somewhere how to set up Nxt on a cubietruck?
RaspNXT runs "out of box" on the cubie. Just install and update with latest NXT version. (I haven't come around to have it auto-update itself yet) BTW, behold here a quick shot of my solar cubie (picture) OMG, are those VIDEO TAPES!? lol Thanks
