Ok... you've made me think. I'll look into the possibilities of porting my code to XE5 and switching to standard and open source components only. I'll also evaluate FireMonkey instead of VCL which would mean I could compile to OSX and Windows 32/64 bit.

With a block time of 1 min give or take 10 seconds, transactions would have to happen offline, right? I think this is possible due to proof of stake. But if this is the method behind 1,000 TPS there should be no limit to the amount of transactions per second aside from the maximum size of a block.
Theoretically, would 60k tps be possible if in the other 59 seconds 0 transactions occurred?
I don't think that there will be empty blocks in the future. it took 2 months almost to get to 100,000 transaction....with 1000 TPS it would take less than 2 minutes theoretically...I don't see what will generate so many transactions that their won't be some empty blocks. by the way one of the goals at Nxt Mobile App. Co. is to be doing 1-2 million transactions (Messages) per. day by the end of our 1st year.

@ CfB....i;ve been thinking and it seems that if you issued a token in the Asset exchange lets say in the amount of 1,000,000,000 for a price of 1 Nxt it would equal 1,000,000,000 nxt market cap.
If the price on the 1 billion tokens increased to 1.01 Nxt then the market cap of the issued tokens would be more than the current Nxt coinbase.
So this asset would be larger than the currency in which it is priced....this would be similar to derivatives in the real world....so to conclude the Nxt Asset exchange is really a decentralized derivatives marketplace.

I just want to say a big thank you to everybody who is involved in this great project and puts their valueable time in this (especially the core developers) so the rest of us can have one awesome crypto currency to rule them all! I've been kind of silently following the progress of Nxt since January 9th and already I'm VERY excited about the coming months! Needless to say I could hit myself for missing out on the IPO! Now I'm thinking about converting all of my BTC into NXT. On the one hand this would be very high risk, on the other hand I could miss out on skyrocketing prices in the next couple of months. Don't know what to do

Just to let everyone here know: someone on nextcoin.org asked me to open a discussion topic per day for the summaries. I will be trying this out on nextcoin.org and nxtcrypto, which means people on the forums will be more in touch (hopefully) with what is happening in here. It might be interesting to check the topics out from time to time to see what other parts of the community are thinking. First topics are here and here

Don't know what to do Convert what you feel comfortable with. Don't bet everything on one horse, even if that horse looks to be a dead cert. Do risk management. You are still early enough to make a big gain once Nxt takes off. People who get in at 1 Nxt = 0.001 BTC will already envy you, so don't worry

Rep Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=381041If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?
