781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This "strange transaction" happened now on blockchain on: February 08, 2016, 11:28:25 PM
This is Block #397447, an empty block mined by F2Pool. Tx is https://blockchain.info/tx/2ab722f923681ddfb00bfffa81bf9cdba9164ea1f6bc58bc64bb54488332712b. Nothing strange about it.

Many super riches are searching decentralized VC scheme at this moment Wink
783  Local / India / Re: Stay away from Unocoin.com !! slowest and poorest service on bitcoin network on: January 30, 2016, 12:53:49 PM
PS:
Unocoin: I'd like to know what's your daily volume.
~250 BTC/day AFAIK.
Is this true?
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is hyping about bitcoin price in 2016 on: January 27, 2016, 09:59:03 PM
You can buy now, and it's 99.99% guaranteed that a year from now the price will be higher.
Very naive comment about investing.
I wish no one take investment advice from BitcoinTalk. Cheesy
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be Satoshi's opinion on blocksize debate ? on: January 25, 2016, 09:01:49 PM
I was wondering what would be Satoshi's opinion on the blocksize debate. I mean : would he be pro-Classic or pro-Core, a.k.a. 2 MB or 1 MB blocks ? Maybe someone has a quote from him that show what he would think about it.

It can be phased in, like:

if (blocknumber > 115000)
    maxblocksize = largerlimit

It can start being in versions way ahead, so by the time it reaches that block number and goes into effect, the older versions that don't have it are already obsolete.

When we're near the cutoff block number, I can put an alert to old versions to make sure they know they have to upgrade.

786  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why all blocksize propositions are round numbers ? on: January 24, 2016, 12:35:38 AM
Actually the blocksize is 1 MB, and Bitcoin classic propose to increase it to 2 MB, Bitcoin XT to 8 MB. Why no one actually proposed 1,25 MB or 1,5 MB blocks ? Is it "allowed" by Bitcoin's code ? Is there any other reason that make that no proposition like this exist ? 1,25 MB or 1,5 blocks would be a softer transition than going directly to 2 MB.
To the best of my understanding, neither BIP 103 nor BIP 106 Proposal 2 will yield round number as block size max cap.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core will be abandoned by miners on: January 23, 2016, 01:16:40 PM
Stop the FUD! Core wins or Classic, end users will remain unaffected. Because user's coins will be spendable on both chain. In fact, if both chain can hold the price for some time, users can get double value of their coins.
788  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Browser as a node - Technically Possible ? on: January 22, 2016, 02:23:03 PM
I would like to know is it possible to transform an open source web browser, say Firefox, to act as a node ? May be not for bitcoin, but for some alt coin. How feasible this idea is ?
May not be as a node, but ofcourse as a wallet. In fact, the founder of JavaScript aka co-founder of Mozilla is working on that...

In short, if you are thinking about building something, you are probably in the right direction...

The correct word is not catched. It is caught.
790  Other / Meta / Re: What happens to bitcointalk if classic is adopted? on: January 21, 2016, 06:10:13 PM
I'm confused about this Classic shit. People are saying we'll fork, others are saying 100% not going to happen.

What's the deal?
Stick to core and keep pushing them to raise the limit to 2mb, implement SegWit and having LN ready. That'd be enough to deal with scalability till 2020.
791  Economy / Exchanges / Re: itBit and Xapo on: January 21, 2016, 06:07:29 PM
What about itBit?
They're probably the only bitcoin exchange having banking license in USA.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Jamie, you are right... on: January 21, 2016, 04:20:34 PM
Who's Jamie and why Bitcoin will eat his lunch? I don't get the joke and I don't know Jamie. You should be more explanatory when you open threads. Is he another "Bitcoin will fail" fudder? We have a lot of them here.

It'll be a PoS coin in my opinion.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People's Bank of China digital currency Seminar Held in Beijing on: January 20, 2016, 06:12:29 PM
I can confirm this from PBOC official website. It put more emphasis on a Cash-Less/Internet-base system. Blockchain was mentioned, and sure it will be digital currency. However I doubt that the issuing will be free to the Internet. They will have the right on hand.
It'll be a PoS coin in my opinion.
