781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 02, 2023, 11:55:50 PM
i have the feeling that donaire wants to hang his gloves from a winning streak. he's already in the retirement age but he's still doing good. maybe, this will be the last fight of donaire. let's see. retiring from a sports as a winner would be a good legacy to live by.

The way I see it though, it's the other way around. Donaire will still continue to fight, for let's say, he is able to get again another title. Losing is the only thing that I'm seeing as a reason that will put Donaire in a state where retirement should be considered.

I was able to say that because when he loses to Inoue during their first meetup, there's hesitation and doubt if he feels he can still fight.

And what happened next is history. Getting a title at the age of 38, 2 wins were made then losing to Inoue in a rematch.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 02, 2023, 11:52:04 PM
1) An early start. LeBron came out of high school so it will be somewhat difficult for a player with a couple years of college under their belt to ever catch him.

As long though that those players, even not came out of high school, last long for at least 20 seasons, then it's possible for them to catch up.

The question though is, who probably has the high chance to break that record since if we just refer to the most players with currently high PPG today, it's easy to make a guess but the consistency is another question.

For now, just enjoy the show that someone is breaking a record that is tough to beat and it happened on this generation.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 02, 2023, 11:46:10 PM
He didn't look good during his comeback fight against Josesito Lopez, already won that fight, he took a lot of damage, then Manny beat him, didn't impressed us against Mario Barrios. And with this version of Spence Jr, really hard for Thurman to deliver an upset win.

Keith Thurman after being defeated by Manny Pacquiao seems like the end of the world to him. After being defeated, don't know why he shows inactivity in boxing (honestly even in training). Yes, he did a comeback fight though but even winning at those, that's not the prime Keith Thurman on his usual.

Regardless though of his current status, I'm not closing the door for the possibility that he might give Spence a problem - fingers crossed.

If end up on Decision, the bad news is waiting for Thurman even though he performed well in this fight. The reason is obvious.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 02, 2023, 11:42:45 PM
I don't like the idea of him picking the same race like having a fight against another Filipino who's also aiming for the belt. But who knows, this is boxing and the position is vacated so, they can have each others hand on line and pull it.

If that's how it will go, then no choice but to face each other. Besides, it's not really in Donaire's camp to decide who will be his next opponent.

For now, who's gonna be the one that will be put as a mandatory fighter to challenge the WBC Bantamweight is still in question.

Let's follow the progress of that story.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 10:53:01 PM
I just hate to think about some negativities as there could be some problems along the way, knowing that Fulton's promoter, Al Haymon is unpredictable.

Actually, both promoters are unpredictable and can ruin the possibility of this to happened. For now, it's good that it's almost a done deal.

I hope though that no such thing as sudden bad news will happen on the way or else, we won't witness one of the best fights this year. Just recently, Moloney vs Donaire failed to materialize even though the probability for that to happen is almost at 100%.

I hope this fight won't end up like that.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 30, 2023, 11:53:13 PM
Did Moloney already agreed to this match?

I think it's not making sense if he will disagree. There's no other way to acquire the vacant WBC Bantamweight title if he won't fight for it.

It's also an order from the WBC and they should follow it.

Moloney wants this match as he will get the chance to get a title, now that Inoue leaves the Bantamweight.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 30, 2023, 11:48:36 PM
I'm hoping that one day we will have a thread about Bivol and Beterbiev, that they finally going to meet in the ring with a date of the course, and a contract, there are so many speculations when it comes to two fighters I hope between these two fighters we will not see issues like what we have seen between Spence and Crawford they just want to make people hoping when we have the date and the contract we'll then have a healthy discussion between these two fighters.

Maybe a Beterbiev-Bivol unification fight is more possible to happen than a Spence-Crawford fight.

It's clear that Beterbiev is eager to fight Bivol to fully unified all the belts in the Light Heavyweight.

For now, according to Top Rank, there hasn't been any talk started right now but one thing is for sure, Bivol might be the next in line if no things will spoil it.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: January 30, 2023, 11:39:13 PM
I ask, you as a gambler are there gambling games or sports that you think that such gambling games or sports are supposed to be mostly engaged in by a particular gender (as it suits such gender more),  and why?

There is no such thing as gender suiting referring to specific gambling. Gamble as they want regardless of gender.

Seems unusual to see women in gambling? Not even can consider as a reason to think that gambling has a particular gender.

Maybe it's not the usual scene there in your place but from now on, let's normalize that gambling is applicable to any gender.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2023, 11:55:27 PM
Is this a good move from Crawford himself? Will Oscar Dela Hoya will able to work with PBC and Al Haymon to bring the biggest fight that we all have been waiting for?

For me, yes that's a move. In the world of the boxing industry, a legacy alone can't be built by a boxer himself. They really need the assistance of big and top promoters in order to secure a good fight with the best opponents and of course, that said promoter should always consider their boxer's preference.

When the supposed Crawford-Spence fight failed last year even though it was almost expected to happen, Bob Arum pointed out that if only Crawford was being handled by a well-known promoter, that fight might be pushed. His statement doesn't make sense but if Arum makes it possible during the time he handled Crawford, the boxing fans should already witness by now who was the winner between Crawford and Spence.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 29, 2023, 11:48:28 PM

"Can The House Be Beaten This way?"

The mentioned scenarios in the OP are not ways of beating the house, well obviously. Generally, some random hash favor that user to win on that particular session. Those scenarios mentioned instead by the OP are, a good approach when we hit a good winning amount and that should be practiced by almost gamblers every time they winning amount.

Hit and Run is a strategy to take advantage of our winnings in the casino, not a strategy to beat the house.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to bet on Billiards sports? on: January 29, 2023, 11:44:08 PM
Do you know where to bet on this sports? Btw anyone here watching this tournament? Efren is already 68 years but he is dominating even young prodigy and still undefeated. Watching him on this level gives me a goosebumps.

I think the tournament is already done, please correct me here.

The reason why you saw Efren on the news is that he finished 3rd at that tournament even at the age of 68 and his opponent was not a joke when he entered the semi-finals, the fellow Filipino and really a Pro during his prime, Alex Pagulayan that is playing under the Canadian flag.

And it's not hype but rather just surprising news here since Efren proves that he can still finish at the top of international competition.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 28, 2023, 06:38:28 PM
I hope to see Spence being penalized in this action and stripped him of the belt if possible.  This is one aspect of not showing respect to the governing body.

That won't happen. Spence Jr. is truly loved by the WBC. They are the ones controlling the game and not Spence's camp alone.

After this fight though, Spence should stick with his current stand to fight at 154 lbs from now on even if that's a clear ducking to Terence Crawford.

The turnaround of event would be, if Keith Thurman will able to upset Spence but honestly I don't see it from happening.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 28, 2023, 06:33:09 PM
Can't really make sure about that as we know that Fulton got some pride as well because he managed to possess two of the 4 belts, WBC and WBO. Besides, I'm more than inclined that he is quite confident enough to fight with Inoue without any worries because he hasn't yet fought someone or any boxer that comes near with Inoue's league. So, this time, it's his turn to taste a punch from a true monster and it will surely be fun watching these two clashing.

Even prior to Naoya Inoue becoming the undisputed bantamweight champion, Stephen Fulton already express his interest that once Inoue finally moved up, he wants a clash against being called the Japanese monster. Actually, Fulton is set to move up at 126 lbs but maybe wants to taste how's the feeling of fighting against the hype Inoue and how strong he really is.

About the odds discussion, oddsmakers favor Inoue as the Favorite to win this match.

This is the first time that Fulton is being an underdog in his professional match.

794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 28, 2023, 06:22:47 PM
Why people are really that making it as a big issue about exposing off their identities which considering that we've been long time submitting our info into those services and other things dealing in real life?
It doesnt really make sense though, myself wont really be bothered on submitting info as long i would be seeing that it would be something you could really trust on.KYC is getting stricter and
becomes wider on which even crypto related services and platforms is no really exception into that which we should really gradually expecting the reality that we are dealing
of with.

It's because, for the majority of crypto-gamblers, crypto-gambling is not supposed to be that way. We can't blame these people as they are not really comfortable providing KYC that's why they consider gambling in crypto.

However, these people should at least accept the fact that crypto-casinos will eventually face full regulation as part of being a legal business.

I'm always vocal about accepting KYC-related terms and I'm fine at complying with KYC in crypto-gambling. But with the rise of new crypto-gambling sites that we just want to test the waters, do you consider complying with KYC at those right away?
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 28, 2023, 06:16:46 PM
I think everyone has a different environment and not all cousins or friends will betray you all the times. Sometime your mom, dad, brother , sisters or even close relatives can be helpful to you and they never have any intention to get your money.

If you ask from me, i trust my family a lot and i don't think they can ever think bad of me. Generally speaking you have to trust some people in life and usually the blood relation are the best whom we can trust more often.

Agree with you. Unfortunately, the said winner on this topic does have a sh*tty relative where in fact, it's clear that the winner really trusts this relative but still do some sh*t. It's not that we should generalize that the same thing might happen to others but it's a case-to-case basis.

If that story leads others not to trust their relatives in big money, so be it and they can freely do it as part of security. After all, only we can know if one of our relatives can be trusted or not, especially related to money, big or small.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 28, 2023, 06:09:06 PM
If I'm Bollick, I might try my luck overseas and play in the B-league. I mean B-league already gave sign to him that they will get him if he will play there. More money, more experience, more challenging.

Agree with you, Bollick would make a lot of money compared to the amount he would receive even if he will get a max contract. The love of basketball and money should go together because even if you are too loyal in your team in the PBA, you will still be traded when you are less effective.

That's not new already, we've seen plenty of players who are already traded and eventually lose their career.

Robert Bolick is already aware of how big the difference is in terms of salary between playing locally and as an import overseas. However, it's not just the salary but the obligation and responsibility in order to maintain that big contract on foreign teams that are highly expected.

Once a local player considers playing outside the country, there's a low chance for that player to return to the PBA that's why it's not easy for long-time PBA players already to just accept the offer from other countries since there are lots of "what if" here.

What if got injured? What if not playing well? What if the expectations of the scout didn't meet? - might be some thoughts of those PBA players.

Well then, there's a rumor that Bolick is now in Taiwan but Pido Jarencio himself clarifies that it's not true. Who knows though?

2 days to go and Bolick's contract will expire and yet nothing hear from his side. Why it takes too long to decide? Hmmmm...
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 28, 2023, 05:59:06 PM
But the thing is that he is not getting any younger and it might take a minimum of two years before he will get the recognition that he needs before breaking again in the rankings and fight for the belt. And by that time, how old is he?

He will turn 34 years old next month. They really need to secure a deal this year and try to have at least up to 2 fights to somehow have a chance to move up in the rankings. And for let's say they can secure a fight this year, a mandatory win is necessary as losing one more time will just put him on scratch.

Since the goal is to make some noise, any opponent around his current rank under WBC will do.

As currently rank 8th by WBC, he can take those ranked 5th to 7th. The best option for me is to try securing a deal with Naoya Inoue's younger brother, Takuma Inoue who defeated 5 PH boxers already in his career. Of course, the fight should be held at 122 lbs.

If this will happen, offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension...

Quote
Thave offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension but the versatile forward is yet to accept the deal, reports Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer. Grant became eligible for the deal earlier this month.

Do you think he is deserving of this huge contract? or will help accept it or decline it?

The final decision should have a very serious approach.

Expecting a much higher contract extension in the free agency is a good option but how sure he was that it will be offered by the Blazers? The original offer was already good and I can't blame him expecting for more but that was a risky move. Surely, he was thinking that overnight.

I hope Jerami Grant, if ever really pushes to decline the 4-year $112M contract extension but is, unfortunately, unable to get what he's expected in the free agency in the postseason, won't turn into a Dennis Schroder 2.0.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 28, 2023, 12:33:26 PM
I think that there will be enough time for Donaire if him and his team chooses to weigh down. But if Moloney is already good with the said bout then it's okay for Donaire to take a stop over first and have this match.

And whether he wins or losses then he can proceed to the weighing down and another division that he may want to dominate before he entirely retires for it.

The reason why Donaire considers moving down weight is that no chance at all to take a title shot at the Bantamweight as Inoue is really a monster.

Since Inoue moved up, Donaire shifted gears and accept the mandatory bout for the vacant WBC Bantamweight title as a Rank 2 contender.

Donaire doesn't experience much big trouble in keeping up with the required weight in his entire boxing career. Regardless if he will fight on Super Lightweight or stay in Bantamweight, no problem at all regarding weight.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 28, 2023, 12:27:13 PM
I'm not interested into betting on sports and events in which physical harming is done. Recently saw a video in which two players slapped, and I got shocked to see a player get hurt. In specific the player's mandible got dislocated. I don't think most of the cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms will add it to avail for betting.

Is boxing, MMA, or any other form of physical fight also included in those sports you are lacking interest in betting with?

Regardless, bookies don't see yet the market potential of that sport, and besides, that competition is relatively new in the industry.

Bookies won't look on how's the fight is perform to consider that sport to be added as a betting choice in the future.
