803  Economy / Auctions / Re: 30GH/s Chili Miners - Fast Auction (50 Available) on: December 20, 2013, 03:05:30 AM

I won one? Cool, I was thinking "should I bid .75"? :-)

Now what do I do with the thing? Take the chips off and put them on Jallies! :-)

C

Or you could plug it in and mine with it
804  Economy / Auctions / Re: 30GH/s Chili Miners - Fast Auction (50 Available) on: December 20, 2013, 01:22:05 AM
Can anyone point me to some good Coolers for these? The ones in the original thread are discontinued.

808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit 40 GH/s HEX16B(Bitfury ) 462.00 EUR now shipping on: December 19, 2013, 02:33:20 PM
After your post here I do not want to ship to you and I'm ready to send your money back .
So, please, please give me your order ref.

Where have I seen this type of behavior before...

Glad I didn't order any of these, and even more glad that Marto never responded to a PM of mine inquiring about these.

It's sickening how the Bitcoin mining hardware scene corrupts so absolutely.
I think you did not understand
He is just trolling here .
If his order is late and he do not want to wait for me anymore, then I'll refund him .
I honestly do not have time to answer question and I'm sorry but you have to understand , that we are small business of 2-3 people that rose too fast.
We switched from just making assembly of small batch K16 to designing our own board , then another , then production under licence.
We switched from sourcing 300+ sets of components to 1000+ and we have some failures and delays.
But we are not going to scam anybody.
I understand everybody's anger and eagerness to get his miner board faster, but We are doing our best and obviously it is not enough.
And as far We did not met somebody's expectation we are ready to refund immediately, except the cases when there is danger for stolen account .
UBAUBA do not want refund or do not have an order with us.
So why so hard word, how is this helping us and the other customers.
If he believes he got scammed let us do a refund, that's all.

Best Martin

He is not trolling, he is speaking the truth.
The number of people like myself who you have screwed is growing daily.
You are a liar and a thief. You stole BTC1.43 from me, claimed you shipped me chips 2+ months ago that never arrived.
It's time for you to be done!

No one wants to hear your bullshit anymore.

Your trust on this forum is there because of what you have done not because of Trolls.

GO AWAY!
809  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: December 19, 2013, 03:02:08 AM
I second that.  I'm getting between 575 and 625 on my day 1 shipment miner (which arrived on day 5) .  The Beaglebone board went south on mine the second week I had it and I lost 2 weeks due to incompetence by KNC.  This is truly amazing and I thank you so very much for sharing the info.  Still wish I had my 2 weeks back when the difficulty was still 86,933,018, but this takes a little pain away from the wound and I salute you for it.  Curious if any of you guys bit on the new miner?  If so I look forward to seeing what you can accomplish.  I didn't bite on that one myself after getting burned the first time... but will be watching.  Many thanks!

- .m.w. -

and all you did was issue this:

sed sBD1BF1B </etc/init.d/cgminer.sh >/config/zzz.sh ; /config/zzz.sh restart

??

The sed command changes one register and gives you a mild 7% boost in speed. In order to see the fastest speeds you need to read though the hieroglyphics on this thread and figure out what they are saying. when I figured it out, I am getting almost 15% over factory speeds.

The main thing you need to do is ssh into your miner and use a text editor to edit /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh

try:
vi /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh

Use the cursor keys on your keyboard to scroll down till you see this code, the important parts you will change are in bold:

Quote

                                if [ $p -eq 2 ]
                                then
                                        cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x01,0xF1" $c)
                                        if [ $c -eq 1 ]
                                        then
                                                cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x03,0xE2" $c)
                                        fi

When you see someone say "Try 201" (which gives about 12% speed increase) you would edit the code to look like:

Quote

                                if [ $p -eq 2 ]
                                then
                                        cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x02,0x01" $c)
                                        if [ $c -eq 1 ]
                                        then
                                                cmd=$(printf "0x86,0x%02X,0x03,0xE2" $c)
                                        fi

Hit escape when finished. Then hit the : key, then x to save.

relaunch cgminer with the command line:
/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart

Don't blame me if shit blows up. I'm just one newbie helping another.

I personally use 211, but have extra fans inside the case for extra cooling, just to be safe. A list of codes and corresponding speeds are listed several times in this thread, I suggest trying several until you find one that gives you a good boost in speed without going over 40-42watts per die, since they are rated at 40W per VRM.

Good luck.

My problem is I cant find that exact code in my file

1 @ .6

Just skipping the 35 @ .55 then?

Just don't want to have to bid every 10 minutes ;-)

Why not? that's how we all lose and the seller wins.

the frenzy is underway

812  Economy / Auctions / Re: 30GH/s Chili Miners - Fast Auction (50 Available) on: December 18, 2013, 05:25:55 PM
20 @ .51

Bidding Format
Minimum Bid is 0.5BTC, all bids must be a multiple of 0.05

So you are bidding .50 or .55

Why are you people bashing technobit?
Even my second order went perfect, maby a bit late but then again it's better than pre-order!
In total i have ordered more than 10 miners, in the end the only thing that counts is that it works.

So keep in mind, this is still better than pre-order. And for all the other people who are not sure what they are ordering, just ask it before you buy... seems a logic thing to do right?

Not everyone is as lucky as you!
816  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase utterly useless during major market swings on: December 17, 2013, 02:36:20 AM
Coinbase is consistently going offline whenever there is a massive market swing.

Before you decide to use them, know that in the event of a massive sell off or a massive upswing Coinbase will not be there for you.

Been my experience every time.

sent email no word must be dead business or their just too bust to answer or their doing a BFL
Marto has mentioned that he's working flat-out to get everyone's orders dispatched before Xmas. Be patient man. Comparisons to BFL would just be insulting to those who were REALLY shafted by the BFL scenario.

I at least got my stuff from BFL Marto walked off with 1.4 BTC on me, claimed he shipped and never did.

Make sure you make an entry in his trust.

Dear MELvyn.B
Your first order with us was delivered, second one is now refunded.
We are not going to accept any orders from you in the future. Your account with us is disabled.

Best Martin

Martin many thanks for your refund (proof you lied to me that it was dispatched when it clearly was not) - I make no apology for my words and opinions and if you seriously value being in business you would not treat customers in this way - have no fear my friend I shall not be placing any more orders from Technobit - account disabled or not.

Good luck

Melb

I know how you feel he screwed me too!!!
