801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How TryNinja's Notifier Bot Can Make your life easier on: November 05, 2023, 04:23:17 AM
This feature can help everyone as well. You don't want to miss any signature campaigns or threads from Hhampuz, Royse777 or Little Mouse. You can add them to your tracked users list to get notified every time they create new threads. Bounty Hunters can add bounty managers to your tracked users list.

Are you serious, adding campaign managers to your tracking list? It's too much focus on the forum which can be harmful sometimes.
I have not used any bot before. The forum seems nice at the moment, and if someone wants to ask you something, he will definitely send you a private message, but some members may need this bot, and it may be useful to the majority, especially if you spend a lot of time or have an activity in one of long threads.

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open source multi crypto wallets! on: November 05, 2023, 03:59:41 AM
Being open source does not necessarily mean that you are safe, as you must ensure that the code that you install on your device is the same as the open source code and that there are enough reviews to say that this open source code is safe.
You can verify that you are installing the same code by verifying the signature, but there must be enough reviews, otherwise there is no difference between closed source and open source code.

A while ago, there was a scammer who put open source code for a wallet, but when you installed the wallet, the code was completely different and he stole the money.
I have never heard of https://github.com/crypto-com/chain-desktop-wallet and I don't want to know if it is safe, but I created a topic about user experiences regarding Unstoppable wallet and this is the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5436273.0
804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First buy Bitcoin as a newbie, good way to start. on: November 05, 2023, 03:36:58 AM
Other than the basics of learning Bitcoin, such as how to set up a wallet, store seeds, how to send a transaction, and basics about the economy and Bitcoin, you do not need in-depth technical knowledge to buy Bitcoin, and since the price of Bitcoin continues to rise, after obtaining the basic knowledge, it is better to buy Bitcoin until you learn more, such as how to allocate fees. Broadcast the transaction to be confirmed in the shortest possible time and prepare a multi-signature wallet. Buying first and learning later is a good strategy.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining with the use of Natural Gas on: November 05, 2023, 03:10:23 AM
What happens is that he thinks that the most immediate solution to Argentina's currency problem is to dollarise the economy, but in principle he is in favour of bitcoin.

I think that discussing the issue of the economy in Argentina is sensitive because of the country’s status with the International Monetary Fund and how the economy is being developed. it is natural for the commentators’ discussions to be about the issue of the economy and its details, but it will not go far in accepting Bitcoin as a legal currency or even for daily use, as happened in El Salvador.

I have heard many alternatives in which Bitcoin can contribute to improving the economy, and I hope that some of them will be implemented.
806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your take on CEX platforms integrating DEX capabilities like swapping? on: November 04, 2023, 08:35:10 AM
We cannot say that DEX capabilities are DEX unless the code is open source and you can host the service yourself or it is a type of P2P where you can access the private key and send money to guarantee it. It is a multi-signature wallet with 3 or more keys and one of these keys is for guarantee.
What is happening is that some CEX platforms are trying to attract some customers by adding features that do not require KYC or tokens that do not need to be listed, meaning that some CEX platforms are managing a smart contract and allowing others to use it.
807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any companys offering insurance policys for crypto exchanges ? on: November 04, 2023, 08:09:26 AM
If you are in some countries that require cryptocurrency exchanges to make an emergency fund in the event of bankruptcy, you may be able to recover part of your money, but this process is slow and may take several months, if not years. So why do you need to secure your money with a third party instead of using a multi-signature wallet in the bank vault or in the bank, where you can place wallet seed in safe place or using services that encrypt part of the private key and enable you to recover your money even if you do not remember the seed, are all safer solutions than leaving your money in an exchange and waiting for compensation to occur if the exchange goes bankrupt or is hacked.
808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips to Follow traders/scalpers (who use Stop Loss) on: November 04, 2023, 08:04:04 AM
If you want to trade using the copytrading method, you must follow the person you trust. Otherwise, with the first loss, you will try to modify the strategy, and thus you may achieve losses. Therefore, if you are using copytrading as a basic strategy, it is better to adhere to it, even if it is without a Stop Loss.
There are some educational videos called Copy Stop Loss (CSL) that can be used if you want to enhance your strategy.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining with the use of Natural Gas on: November 04, 2023, 07:46:44 AM
The candidate's statements before the elections do not necessarily mean that he will adhere to them, especially on marginal issues such as Bitcoin mining, which may need legal amendments in some countries, and may not require more than one company that wants to enter the field in other countries due to the ease of legal legislation. Bitcoin mining using surplus natural gas from oil production fields may lead to an economic benefit as it reduces waste, provides job opportunities, increases taxes, with the possibility that the state will use the Bitcoin that was generated as a reserve in the central bank or in an investment fund, but it is nothing more than part of the ideas to improve GDP is not something the presidential candidate will defend if he wins the election.
810  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will it affect you in any way if Binance completely shuts down ? on: November 04, 2023, 07:00:27 AM
The Binance completely shuts down method is what will determine its effect, but in any case the price will be affected. These are examples of how it is affected.

  • If they close for any reason and return customers’ money or liquidate all the balance at intervals, the impact will be limited for Bitcoin and more impact for altcoins.
  • They suddenly closed and sold everything they had: Bitcoin will be affected more as there is liquidity of more than 200,000 that will be sold.
  • They were hacked and the amount was stolen: It is difficult to sell 200,000 without tracking your trace, so the possibility is less that they will be refunded.
  • They stole customers’ money: This is the worst scenario, especially for altcoins, and Bitcoin will be affected by at least 50% drop in price.
811  Other / Archival / Re: Account Birthday on: November 04, 2023, 06:39:31 AM
Congratulations 🎉👏 @hZti 10 years is a long time, but I wonder why the majority registered an account in 2013 more than in 2012 and 2014, and what is the story of how you found the forum? Was it a coincidence, or did you search for Bitcoin and the forum suddenly appeared to you?
You've been active in your local board, and it's great to see that the forum was able to include users in different languages.
812  Other / Meta / Re: A small merit-sending UI tweak on: November 04, 2023, 06:32:46 AM
I prefer the approach A, adding the number one instead of leaving the field empty, in addition to a group of buttons next to send that contain 2, 4, 5, 7, 10. if you click on send, you will send one Merit, if you click on the buttons next to it, you will send 2, 4, 5,7,10, and if you want to send more, you must change the number from 1.

813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto security tools you need before farming airdrops on: November 03, 2023, 12:38:40 PM
Most of the time this would really be talking about testnets which it would really be still needing some bucks for you to pay up with the fees, or else you wont really be that eligible for the airdrop. The only thing i could say that would really be the best security is having your own "COMMON SENSE" on which you could really be able to assess on which things that are obviously scams or hacking attempts and its not really that hard to point or notice it out if you do have that common sense.
This is also logical, but it requires more investment and experience from you, and this means that you may be exposed to losses, so it is not an easy and profitable way to achieve profits as many people think it is. Perhaps instead of spending more time before developing “COMMON SENSE”, developing skills such as trading, Learning a programming language or another will bring you higher profits.
814  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Help us to remove Freewallet scam wallets from AppStore on: November 03, 2023, 12:18:26 PM
Do they have any KYC problem or country restrictions? Honestly I have not used this wallet so far and didn't know much about it. We agree to report scam wallet but first we have to confirmed wheather Users claiming the wallet is scam is telling truth or just spreading false information.

When you create an account it will pass normally, but when you want to withdraw or after confirming the transaction, the account will be frozen, it will be claimed that your currencies came from suspicious sources, and you may be asked for a blood test or any data that you are unable to provide.
it is not only "KYC problem" or country restrictions but scamming.

Then what will be the proper step to report them? should we follow the OP or consider alternative method which stops this wallet to scam users ?
Some scam accusations were solved after creating a topic here, but why you put yourself in a situation where you need to provide data to those who do not deserve it and you may lose your money, do not use them.

freewallet was criticized by Elon Musk https://cointelegraph.com/news/this-crypto-wallet-was-criticized-by-elon-musk-but-turned-this-into-an-opportunity

Quote
It all began back in February 2021, when Elon Musk was continually tweeting about Dogecoin as it enjoyed the unlikeliest of surges from $0.005 to $0.74.

Freewallet quote-tweeted Tesla's Technoking as he sang the words "Who let the DOGE out" — adding that "DOGE doesn't stop."

But he replied: "Your app sucks."

In an example of customer service done right, Freewallet's support team replied minutes later — and said they were on hand to help if he needed anything.

"Please unlock my account," Musk wrote.

Freewallet did exactly that — springing to action in the blink of an eye — and it's clearly something he appreciated.

"Thanks for fixing," he later told them.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum Computers Can Not Defeat Bitcoin, not even The Bitcoin Network on: November 03, 2023, 12:05:02 PM
I partially disagree with this argument. Since Bitcoin preserve backward compatibility, that means people need to move their coin to address which use better cryptography. There's also consideration new technology (such as SegWit and Taproot) took many years before it's activated on Bitcoin network. Although for now, there are definitely other higher priority than choose and implement QC-resistant cryptography.

We do not know the capabilities of quantum computers or what may happen in the future, but Bitcoin has the ability to keep pace with variables and is not a rigid technology in a specific thing.

Old addresses (Which was not sent from) can be considered safe, even if quantum computers has developed. Therefore, if you buy Bitcoin, move it to a new address and don't reuse address, then you are safe.
816  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is This sites Legit?? on: November 03, 2023, 11:47:39 AM
My friend suggested me one site some days ago. It is investment site and minimum purchase is 100$. You have to purchase shop and then you will receive offer with high price of 110$ or 120$ and then buy another shop and sell high.

What would make someone want to buy that store at 110? Inevitably, the reason will be that you were told that you will buy at a price of 110 and you will get a profit at a price of 120, and so on. In short, you are buying at a price that another party wants to sell. Since there is no project that generates income, this is more like pyramid marketing, where money is generated from the profits of other people  in the end the project disappears and runs away with the money.

In an ideal case, the loss probability for these charts is 87% loss rate, but in the above case it is 100%.

817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on TRON's impact on the payment landscape? on: November 03, 2023, 11:25:45 AM
TRON exists because of USDT and its fees were low but I think people's mood will change over time as more will prefer to buy USDT on other blockchains like MATIC which has instant confirmations and fees so low that one dollar could lead you to make hundreds of transactions instead of one transaction.
If USDT decides to stop using the TRON blockchain, I imagine that the blockchain will be less used and will quickly turn into a dead blockchain.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive rise on bitcoin price, Is this a bullish Sign or ETF hype? on: November 03, 2023, 09:57:29 AM
ON-CHAIN analysis on the series shows that there are attempts to take profits, which makes the price try to reach the $40,000 psychological level, but the continuation of the upward trend is what will achieve this, but it is not linked to the ETF, otherwise there would have been a continuation of pumping the price after $31,400, which would have easily brought us to 52,000.

What is happening now is that the price was lower than its value, so breaking the support level led speculators to consider it an opportunity to speculate on the rise and that it is time to take profits.

It does not indicate or will indicate acceptance or rejection of the ETF.
819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2023, 09:52:21 AM
The fact that the price rose but stopped at the $34,000 region is an indication of a potential sell-off, so the price madness will be lower until January when the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve ETF products.
Indicators indicating a decline:

  • Momentum Reversal Index (MRI)
  • The Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows that we are on the verge of an upcoming correction.

Waiting a little will give you the ideal price for the coming period and may be for the coming years.
820  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Help us to remove Freewallet scam wallets from AppStore on: November 03, 2023, 09:00:11 AM
OP you have any strong proof that This wallet did any scam with you or your relatives?
It is not a wallet where you cannot reach the private key and spend money on your own, as it is closer to CEX, but they call you to deposit even if they know that you will not be able to withdraw and when you want to withdraw the problems appear and tell you that you agreed to this in the terms of use. Sometimes they return funds to some users and sometimes they keep it, so even if you say that they are scammers, they may return your money to prove that they are not scammers.
