1181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do exchanges impact the performance of newly listed token? on: July 30, 2023, 12:15:26 AM
It depends on the project. If he spent a lot of currencies in the first stage and sold them to promote the project before listing, the price of listing would definitely be very high because everyone would start selling.
If the developer team owns a large amount of currencies, they will definitely try to sell them because they do not believe that there is a future for the project. If there is an increase in the price after listing, everyone will inevitably try to sell, hoping to make a profit and buy again at a lower price.
Therefore, the post-listing period is a period to avoid buying, no matter how high the currency price is or kept rising, because a strong correction often occurs. if you had a currency before listing, it is better to sell it immediately after listing, and vice versa, which is to avoid buying any currency immediately after listing it.
1182  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 29, 2023, 11:49:37 PM
Well, at least reply for what people has asked to offer you some help.

After searching the address in google, i found this reddit thread[1], OP is much more active there responding every reply, only if the OP here is the same person on that reddit thread.

[1] https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/15cc1la/lost_165k_in_eth_straight_talk_about_crypto_safety/
He have another topic in which he talks about the same story here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461357.msg62616437#msg62616437 And really,
The date shown on Reddit is 29 and here is 28, so I don't know if the problem is in formatting the dates, or is it the same user.

I don't know what the details of the story are, but with the loss of such an amount and without disclosing legal data, no one will be able to help him, whatever it is. Details we give him here.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else uses move to earn apps for the same reasons I do? on: July 29, 2023, 11:35:41 PM
The idea of the project is very suspicious, and Bitget has a long history of closing accounts and supporting payment for investors under any pretext, so what you are talking about is scam.
If you have heard of it late, this does not negate that it exists and continues, and I do not know if you are sincere in this proposition, especially since there are several beginner accounts that have become promoting the same idea, so if this was motivated by coincidence, I advise you all to stay away from any investment related to Bitget.
1184  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 29, 2023, 02:02:58 PM
People in an online forum can't help you recover millions of dollars because all the information we have is available to everyone. you have to start by filling out papers at the nearest police station, enclosing your data, source of income, and details of what happened.
And if you have little money or acquaintances, you can ask a specialized company to track those currencies with the issuance of personal data and statements that you will get from the police.

If you are lucky, the money will be frozen through a judicial order from the court, but it depends on the source of income and on the state whether it is friendly to cryptocurrencies and whether they cooperate or not.
1185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here on Bitcointalk because Bitcointalk is important for Bitcoin on: July 29, 2023, 01:47:25 PM
Satoshi build Bitcoin and as a coder, he really listened to community feedback and tried to explained it because Bitcoin was (and is) still very technical. Bitcoin is a great technological piece because Bitcoin needs to be safe from hacker. Much money is stored in Bitcoin network and if it's not safe, we are screwed, everyone.
Bitcoin was not hacked, not because it is safe or because Satoshi developed it securely, and if this is true, it is because of its nature. Bitcoin, by its central nature, cannot be hacked because it is not the servers of a central company or service, but only paired spending is possible if the hackers have the longest chain starting from 51% from the network to launch a successful attack. learn a lot in a short time by reading some books or watching YouTube videos.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest Some Underrated potential altcoins for next bull run on: July 29, 2023, 01:35:36 PM
Stay away from currencies that have unlimited supply or have reached ATH in previous times and you were not even able to reach 50% of this price now, as all of them indicate a dead currency that will not rise in the future.
When you invest, always make sure of the quantity offered and whether there is growth in demand or not. Sometimes the price is a direct reflection of these variables, but often these currencies manipulate the market capacity, and the price through the quantity offered, so be careful.
xrp, Ethereum classic, Solana are examples of coins you should avoid investing in.You can invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and this is not investment advice.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Vs legit Altcoins in 2023 on: July 29, 2023, 10:53:21 AM
8 projects are memecoin out of 10 projects.
It seems, this year will be full of memecoins. What do you think? Why memecoin launching is increasing so much in this year?
memecoin is the fastest way to profit now, all you need is diligence in promotion, you do not need to have a white paper, you do not need to have a project, idea or development team, you need promotion, money to pump the currency and promises that you will become rich from investment and then you will achieve success.
These projects are becoming more like a new Ponzi scheme.

Altcoins their basic philosophy is that they give you projects that perform better than Bitcoin in the short term and therefore they sell those cryptocurrencies to you and buy Bitcoin from you in return, and you believe that the performance of these currencies against Bitcoin in the short term is better and then you buy them, but in fact the performance in the long term is very bad.
1188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: July 29, 2023, 10:33:28 AM
Every day, thousands of memecoins are launched, and unfortunately, around 95% of them turn out to be scams. This scam epidemic is affecting many people, especially newcomers who lack experience and are more vulnerable to such scams.
People are seeing the Dogecoin market as a success for memecoins, and in fact the price of Dogecoin has increased due to the increased demand for it due to Elon Musk's tweets.
All memecoins that succeeded were not the criterion for success being memes, but rather because of the demand, which will lead to a rise in the price of any currency, regardless of its nature. What is happening in memecoins is scam, as they promise the user quick profits and false promises, and the problem is not in the memecoins, but in the people who believe this propaganda without any analysis or thinking.
1189  Other / Meta / Re: Are these flaws of SMF forum software? on: July 29, 2023, 10:27:48 AM
You can block a user in PM and in topics, you can ignore that user with Ignore option, not perfectly but somewhat working.
As far as I know, there is no block feature in the forum. When you block a person, you will not be able to see the user's posts, and will not be able to send you a message or merits. you can only ignore the user by hiding his posts or preventing a certain rank from sending you messages.
1190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im trader Economist and reasearcher this i got news for traders on: July 29, 2023, 07:59:21 AM
In the next few days we gona have a lot volatility and a lot liqutations of high leverage positions.
But also If you know what you are doing then volatile fast moving market big swings can make for you very nice profit.
What is the point you are trying to make here, you are speaking so generally that you did not even explain the direction of the price, the nature of the fluctuations, the amount of the fluctuations, or even how we are going to make a profit from these fluctuations, it is like saying that the price of Bitcoin is very volatile and you can make a profit from this fluctuation while Sometimes the price of Bitcoin is not volatile, but within a certain range.

the analysis of Bitcoin in a narrow range such as some days is almost impossible.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why this Altcoin called Worldcoin could have a huge potential? on: July 29, 2023, 07:33:47 AM
Worldcoin has a massive budget behind it and has been all over the news recently so it wouldn’t surprise me to see its valuation grow for a period of time. The project is pretty creepy though. The way they seem to be going after regular people to get lots of folks on board with small investments reminds me of the approach of Safemoon. I expect a similar result.
It is likely that this will not happen until they have achieved sufficient profits. They have spent a lot of investments in advertising, so it is an opportunity for short-term investment. As soon as you achieve a profit, withdraw and do not let greed attract you because the end of these projects is the bursting of the bubble.

everyone becomes optimistic about the project, not knowing its insides. That's why it was effective when it was first launched and despite its short stay in the market, people are already voicing and determining that it has got the future.
The internal idea of the project is that they are a low-cost bridge on Ethereum, which is not attractive and will not last for a long time, but the promotion and public relations they have are better than most projects. It is a high high risk  investment.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find new meme coins early? on: July 28, 2023, 11:07:28 AM
It does not lie in the meme coin, but it has become an old investment, and the noise around it is pump and dump, so it is difficult to know when its price will rise. One million dollars may lead to significant changes in the currency's price.

It is true that Twitter is your favorite place, but Reddit is a good platform to learn about coins, and searching for new coins that are listed in CoinMarketCap will give you more details.

I'm a certified meme coin hunter, and my radar is always on the lookout for those hidden gems that might become the next Pepe. Speaking of which, I remember stumbling upon Pepe on Twitter when the buzz and sentiment were off the charts, and I just couldn't resist aping in, and it paid off!
By "certified" what do you mean, is there any certification for meme hunters now?
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Mobile App for Bitcointalk forum??? on: July 28, 2023, 10:52:17 AM
It has been discussed several times, and in the end, the forum was not designed with responsive UI design, and therefore you need more effort in zoom in-out, which makes access to the forum difficult if you are not used to the current design.
There is a new version of the forum  - EpochTalk https://github.com/epochtalk - , but no one knows when it will finally change to it, so if you do not like current UI, you can scrape the data and then request a developer to develop your own interface, or design an application that transforms the current forum data to be more responsive.

There are some open source applications, but they are unofficial and may lead to the loss of your account.
1194  Other / Archival / Re: FedNow - Instant payment service developed by the Federal Reserve on: July 28, 2023, 10:41:09 AM

Why people always see threats, enemies but I see bank transfers, CBDC transfer, Bitcoin transactions will be used in a society. Bitcoin is not a threat for fiat currencies, CBDCs or bank system. Banks, CBDCs are not threats of Bitcoin.

When they see others as threats, enemies, they will have bad responses with each other.
Because both are fully digital with the possibility of the database being managed by the blockchain and therefore just as we hear that Ethereum is a killer of Bitcoin or Aitcoin is better than Bitcoin, all models based on the Blockchain are considered by some to be a threat to Bitcoin.

They try to link all the events that might happen to the regulatory restrictions as they fear that Bitcoin will be a competitor to CBDCs which is a misconception of many traders.
1195  Other / Off-topic / Re: elon musk changed twitter Logo and he want to buy a twitter account for $69.42M on: July 28, 2023, 09:52:37 AM
I don't think Elon Musk's Twitter account is https://twitter.com/ElonMuskAOC but rather https://twitter.com/ElonMusk so the account below that made the $69.42M bid is not Elon Musk's, even the account name is a little different.

The ease of accounts getting the blue mark made fraud much easier, which is one of the disastrous decisions taken by Eon Musk.

Changing the platform to X is a direction for Twitter to be bigger than a platform for personal blogs, but I wish I had launched the X service and integrated Twitter with it instead of changing the name of the service just as Facebook did with Instagram and threads.
1196  Other / Archival / Re: FedNow - Instant payment service developed by the Federal Reserve on: July 28, 2023, 09:01:05 AM
CBDCs are not a threat to Bitcoin because it still has the same characteristics as cash, which is peer-to-peer payment, but in a digital form with complete centralization, the possibility of knowing your balance, the possibility of freezing your funds and a lot of things that may make a pass to become an alternative to cash very difficult in democratic countries. if there is success in launching such currencies, there will be a logical reason for using Bitcoin, but I do not expect that to happen during the next few years.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Analyzing XRP's Potential: Can It Reach $1? on: July 28, 2023, 08:40:44 AM
It's just matter of time till this coin can reclaim $1 back again. XRP hype is quite big right now after the court was just ruling SEC as non security coin. I think that another problem gonna come soon as SEC is not stopping yet in battling against XRP.

The only problem is how long this case gonna happen with XRP? $1 can be reached again by XRP soon.
As long as it did not reach $1 after the SEC news, it is likely that the price will prevail in a corrective wave before returning to $0.5 levels, which may represent a fair price. Therefore, it is likely that we will have to wait until Bitcoin rises to raise its price above $1, so it will not be the best asset as The rise from 0.7 to 1 dollar does not represent a big change compared to Bitcoin if it rose from 30k to 100k.

XRP is not Dogecoin and it does not get hype monthly but only once in a while.
1198  Other / Meta / Re: Are these flaws of SMF forum software? on: July 28, 2023, 08:19:17 AM
You are looking for the feature to block users, which is not supported in the forum, you can ignore users, which is closer to mute feature in many social networking applications. You can customize your experience using the userscript, where you can hide the avatar or even remove posts from a specific member instead of hiding them, but I don't know if there is a userscript with these properties, so you might to pay a developer.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free badge on Debank (Potential airdrop) on: July 28, 2023, 07:48:25 AM
Where can I find out the news about Potential airdrop, and will it be of value, meaning a profit of $ 100 to $ 500, or will I get low-liquidity tokens that are difficult to sell? I do not have information and did not participate in any badge airdrop, so what are the risks that may arise if I link my wallet to debank.com/badge and do I need to have a balance or not?

Thank you for sharing this information and i will google it.
1200  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bundle exchange announces their cease of operation on: July 27, 2023, 03:02:59 PM
The deadline for sweeping balances is still around 35 days which I think is long enough for all potential customers to be aware of this news. And I see this has been shared everywhere including Nigerian board, quite surprised that this platform isn't popular enough. I think I know the reason why they stopped.
There are some exchanges that give 6 months to withdraw, however, some account holders complained that there was not enough time to withdraw. I hope this time based on an examination of the average activity of most accounts, otherwise it would be considered a gentle exit scam.

The reason for the closure is due to the competition, the large exchanges have become offering many options such as spot trading, features, staking, p2p, Dex, ...etc all in one place so there is no need to create several accounts in several CEXs.
