1401  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Coinbase 06.06.2023 on: June 15, 2023, 03:39:22 AM
https://news.yahoo.com/binance-us-hires-former-sec-181258086.html
"Binance.US added four lawyers from Milbank LLP, including a former co-director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s enforcement division, George Canellos, as the beleaguered crypto platform prepares its defense against US allegations of operating an illegal securities exchange."

It is a matter of time before Binance leaves the US market. Litigation procedures take a long time, and customers will not be able to wait until the procedures are over, they will be allowed to withdraw their money in exchange for stopping work.

I think this article is different from the title of the thread (SEC vs Coinbase.) If you are excited about the SEC news, you can quote my topic and I will lock it and you update it with all SEC updates. I just don't have the time to track and analyze that news.

List: Crypto exchanges under SEC’s Radar!

You can change the title from list to discussion.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blur token unlock on: June 15, 2023, 03:28:59 AM
Blur still dumping and another thing it's the wrong timing, the entire market is also dumping.
Buying Blur right now it seems you are catching falling knives which is very risky. Bottom after bottom, this unlocked seems got bad effects to the Blur token.

If you trust the project, then buying now is an excellent option, because the price will rebound to the nearest point, which is at half a dollar, and then it is a good gain for the short term, otherwise consider it a loss and that the value of that token is zero, and something may happen in the future.

unlocked is the false price tax which was about 0.8.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blur token unlock on: June 14, 2023, 02:21:46 AM
The markets always calculate the negative news the moment the news spreads, and therefore if a drop in the price occurred before the unlocking, it is a good sign because the worst has already happened.

When unlocking is opened, all that will happen is a rebound that may be negative for some time and may extend for several months, according to the received FOMO, but definitely, as long as there is demand on the platform, the price will return again.
If there is no decrease in the price, this means that either not many people know about this news, or that the worst will happen soon, so sell now if you have that token.
1404  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exploring Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Advantages and Challenges on: June 14, 2023, 02:00:23 AM
Smart Contract Risks: DEXs rely on smart contracts for executing trades, and vulnerabilities in smart contracts can be exploited by attackers. DEX platforms must conduct rigorous audits and implement robust security measures to mitigate these risks.
I think you are talking about bridges here, as bridges use smart contracts to exchange between cryptocurrencies on different blockchains, which is different from decentralized platforms.

Liquidity: One of the primary challenges for DEXs is liquidity. As trading volumes are fragmented across different platforms, achieving the same liquidity levels as centralized exchanges can be difficult. However, innovative solutions like liquidity pools and automated market makers (AMMs) are addressing this challenge
I do not like solutions to provide liquidity such as pools or automated market makers (AMMs) because they are all based on making a profit from user deposits. The best is to give them profits such as transaction fees and focus on promoting to attract many new users.

All the advantages that you mentioned require that decentralized be real it has to be open source and you need to manage it yourself and not a central site that claims to be a decentralized platform just because it does not require users to KYC.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: June 14, 2023, 01:30:32 AM
At the present time, investing in bitcoin is the best option. There is not enough liquidity in the markets to make speculations in any new currencies, so you rarely find a digital currency that rises with excellent trading volumes in the short or medium term at the present time.

But if I were you, I would invest in:

  • Ethereum.
  • Dogecoin.
  • AI-related coins with real use, especially those that have links to projects in the medical fields.
  • Any investment that you think will achieve a return of about 10% during the next 3 months and can be quickly liquidated.

1406  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [warning] Fake Private-note -- pirvnota.com on: June 14, 2023, 01:10:39 AM
the surprise was that they changed my BTC address to theirs as in the following image:
It seems that the fraudster saves important data such as seeds, passwords, or email, and changes some other data such as your Bitcoin address.
Did that address have a balance or does it not have any balance? I am sure that if someone deposits, they will move that coin to a centralized exchange, and then it will be easy to track them.
Their choice of the word "private" to motivate you to submit sensitive data using their service.
1407  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Post your local news outlet, exchange, marketplace that support Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 12:47:52 AM
crypto exchanges are not an indication of increased adoption in your country or in any country where there could be growth and the government opposes that growth and therefore will not allow registering a platform or opening bank accounts for it.

Peer-to-peer and decentralized platforms allow you to conduct transactions with reasonable trading volumes and can even be a measure of adoption if we want to talk about adoption in this direction.

The real measure and people's acceptance of bitcoin as a currency in buying and selling commodities is to consider it an acceptable financial intermediary where you can buy several things in your country without the need to convert bitcoin to cash or there is an option to pay in bitcoin.
1408  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Coinbase 06.06.2023 on: June 14, 2023, 12:17:01 AM
Yes Binance does all this already, Coinbase too, almost all exchanges do it, but the question is why now? I mean, the SEC knew that from the beginning, but they turned a blind eye, but they have moved now, what is the reason?
Everyone sympathizes with Binance because it seems that the US government does not want to protect users, it just wants to destroy Crypto.

Why now is a question that does not make sense, the regulatory authorities can move whenever they want, but clearly, the bankruptcy of FTX and the large losses that accompanied that with the apparent mismanagement of that platform is the reason behind this strictness in these legal activity.

Everyone sympathizes with Binance because it seems that the US government does not want to protect users, it just wants to destroy Crypto.

It is not a war, the office has allocated resources to look into the legal compliance of cryptocurrency exchanges and it is doing its job, I agree with some of the decisions especially related to Proof of Stake coins, it does not work in the same way as FUD want and interest on assets and therefore they have the right to regulate it.

No one sympathizes with Binance that they claim to be legally compliant even though they do a lot of incomprehensible things.

Is it possible that Gensler feels cheated by the indoustry?
He's going too far with this litigation, that I'm sure of.

Not him, but the deep view of this industry, as these exchanges are scam. They do not work according to legal licenses, and yet they are not decentralized. The war will be if decisions are taken against the true decentralized platforms or Bitcoin directly, which is not what happened.
1409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 12:03:40 AM
I would have accumulated so much bitcoin by now but someone who introduced me to cryptocurrency back then before covid-19 advised me not to buy bitcoin, that bitcoin was expensive (This was when bitcoin was not upto 10k). He rather introduced me to so many shitcoins that I held which never made moves and I lost them all.

Bitcoin is an excellent investment if you intend to invest in the long term, but this does not mean that there are other investments that are just as good as bitcoin, especially when we are talking about investment. When Bitcoin is in an upward cycle, choosing it is not wise, but you can invest in several alternatives and wait for the price to collapse, which will be the best opportunity to buy and invest in Bitcoin, just as it happened last year when the price was around $15,600.
Instead of just thinking about bitcoin which is perfect for long term investment. There are some good alternatives at certain times, all of this depends on your investment background, information and some other factors. If you do not want to conduct your own research, then DCA is the best strategy for those who do not want to search and take risks.
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 11, 2023, 01:21:04 AM
I checked the Bitcoin price and did not find a decrease. What is happening is a natural price movement, perhaps due to panic or panic, but the price is in its normal place.
The value of BNB decreased by more than 22%, which is a large percentage, but its price is in the hands of binance, they can burn a lot of it and the price will return again. the reaction of binance and the subsequent steps that it will take are what will determine the future of this currency.
I advise you to stay away from it for the time being and see how the company will act.
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin must surpass gold on: June 11, 2023, 01:10:33 AM
Bitcoin against gold is one of the topics that have been analytically discussed for several years, and perhaps the topic that is being discussed has been repeated here since 2013, so if so, you will find more details instead of guesses like 10 times better.

What makes Bitcoin and gold valuable is that most of the supply is available in distributors that have the right to add it to the market or withdraw it. all the gold in the hands of people and central banks is greater than the gold that is produced, and therefore the user is the one who controls the price of the currency. The same applies to Bitcoin. The number of bitcoin that will be mined is less than the bitcoin currently in existence, and then it is the users who will give the price a value if the demand increases. Increased demand is what will determine the future direction of Bitcoin just as it did for gold.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im coutious about xrp warning on: June 11, 2023, 12:59:31 AM
I don't know why people wanna risking their money to buy this coin that may not have future. XRP could just pay fine to end the case but XRP was refusing it.
ranking site like coinmarketcap appears it as the top 10 cryptocurrencies, and the local channels, when the news of cryptocurrencies blooms, will notice that the price of Ripple is always mentioned, so investors think that it is one of the best 10 cryptocurrencies.
Its price is cheap and you feel that you have a lot of money when, in fact, this currency is not worth the value of investing in it. It indicates that the person did not conduct an in-depth analysis of the market, but rather relied on the emotion that it is one of the best currencies according to its market cap.

they did not strive to keep pace with the changes in the market. They did not care about NFT or DeFi, yet they maintained their position.
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 11, 2023, 12:52:18 AM
One major difference between the two is their underlying blockchain technology. The Binance Smart Chain is a newer blockchain network that was created by Binance, while Ethereum has been around since 2015 and is widely considered to be the first blockchain network to support smart contracts. The choice would depends on your specific needs and use.
The history of the creation of the blockchain does not change anything in the use of the blockchain.we have some blockchain since 2011 and no one knows them and its value is low. which is considered a criterion for the decentralization of the network and the number of miners or validators within the network. Ethereum has a large number of validators and increases according to the decentralization of the network while in BSC the number is fixed, which is 21 validators chooses by Binance which make it central.
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Algorand dead or can it recover? on: June 10, 2023, 03:01:56 AM
The SEC labelling it a security has put a lot of fear into everyone.

What is the reason for your investment first, if the same reasons are available, then buy more, otherwise do not sell and sell when a profit occurs, bearing in mind that such currencies may die.
SEC labeling will have an impact in the medium term, but if its work is good, the price will increase in the future, and we can infer what happened with Ripple. After the lawsuit from the SEC, the price decreased by 30% and returned again after several months.

SEC vs. Ripple - Cryptocurrency
Algorand was a promising project, but I believe that many competitors have pulled the rug from it, so I do not expect it to give a positive return in the future.
1415  Economy / Services / Re: Launch of crypto-token, search for an investor partner on: June 10, 2023, 02:43:05 AM
How many threads do you think are enough for your project? You have created more than 4 topics with the same content, and if you think that creating more topics will help you in promoting your topic, then you are wrong. This is spam, against the forum rules, and you may end up being banned, lock all the last topics and answer the questions in the one where you got the most responses enough.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 10, 2023, 02:20:28 AM
ERC20 is the best and optimal for managing smart contracts on Ethereum blockchain, and the reason for you is that Ethereum originally works on accounts based system, smart contract management is deeply embedded in this blockchain with decentralized ownership, which comes at the expense of paying higher fees. Bep-20 is based on the same system as ERC20 with the replacement of the decentralization with 21 validators all connected to Binance and thus they can freeze or stop the blockchain in exchange for giving you a cheap fee.

I believe using of Bep-20 reduces the risk of scam from the network or in bridges, but you may lose your money if a hacker steals it.
1417  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Coinbase 06.06.2023 on: June 10, 2023, 02:02:34 AM
Then you can say goodbye to all POS cryptocurrencies in the USA, although no, there are always exceptions, for example, Ethereum
I expect that, POS currencies are centralized and removing them from the centralized exchanges means their end/

Since this is a civil lawsuit, such courts can take a long time until the exchanges agree with the CEC on the rules for the crypto market.
This depends on how Binance clean. I believe that they do some illegal behavior, such as manipulating the prices of altcoins through listing and delisting, some manipulation in the futures market, using customer deposits through that I do not expect that Binance will go far in judicial investigations because this means that more eyes will monitor its activity. They will abandon the US market, but they will try to make as much money as possible, and they may prefer to pay a settlement rather than go to court or try to give SEC what they want by sharing more data with them.
1418  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Protecting User Identities: The Importance of Digital Identity in Cryptocurrency on: June 10, 2023, 01:44:50 AM
The difference comes from the relationship of users of cryptocurrency exchanges, as its role is limited to buying and trading, and it is not like the banks that you mainly plan to keep your money in. the data requirements must be at their minimum level to verify that you comply with the anti-money laundering laws, and therefore the claim for this data must be at the minimum level that It is permitted by law without being shared with other parties and disposed of after identity verification.

Digital identity solutions come to respond to the requirements of continuous verification of the individual who wants to use his account, thereby tracking his activities and imposing restrictions when a change occurs in it. it extends to vital indicators and more ways to verify the identity of the user, which is not necessary in cryptocurrency exchanges because its role is limited and it is better to avoid sharing your identity in it as much as possible.

Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless

Quote
The official purpose of KYC should be to prevent money laundering (known as AML, anti-money laundering) and terrorist financing. Strict KYC and AML were mainly introduced by the US after 9/11 and many countries are guided by the SEC in setting KYC as a requirement. AML existed before but only for institutions and big amounts of money. Average customers were affected only after restrictions introduced by the SEC.
At first glance, KYC sounds good for shutting down criminal activities. Unfortunately, this looks very different in reality. KYC in crypto doesn’t necessarily help to stop money laundering or reduce criminal activity; nor does it help to prevent terrorist financing. On the contrary - KYC endangers our privacy and encourages criminal activities (via KYC scams, identity theft and other means).
1419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 01:08:48 AM
I like that the support comes from research and knowledge and not repeating some sentences without delving into their meaning. Bitcoin is good as a medium for trading, but its value is greater than just being an investment or advising others to buy it without knowing the risks surrounding it.

Bitcoin is fast and easy to use
Bitcoin provides anonymity

Not all Bitcoin transactions are fast. Sending money to the frozen continent is fast, but it is slow to pay for a cup of coffee, so solutions such as the Lightning Network have been implemented.
Bitcoin is a pseudonymity. It is true that you can generate addresses without revealing your identity, but it is easy to track these addresses.
1420  Economy / Economics / Re: US Advisory on Payment App Risks and Bitcoin’s Position as a Secure Alternative on: June 10, 2023, 12:54:29 AM

This right here is part of the problem. A lot of people are just lazy and do not want to take their own security up by themselves. They don't trust themselves enough. So they rather keep it with a centralized company that can keep it safe for the.

You can't teach your old dog a new trick.
We all get lazy doing simple things, but the experiences that happen around you are supposed to be a sign for you to stop being lazy and make some decisions. The bankruptcy of some banks requires you to think about what might happen in advance, or at least distribute your money or try to take any reaction instead of waiting until it becomes Your fears are real, and you will find the accompanying line for that bank very long and you may try to withdraw your money for nothing but that others do withdraw their money as well.

I'm going to guess that although some people have lost their money in the Atomic Wallet, some are still using it.
