1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’ve created a tg channel with trading calls (signals) on: July 23, 2023, 02:45:56 AM
Imo, what is… is fine. Clicking telegram link won't do anything, you can view content without actually following, signals are posted, results are also.
Because he will control the content, he can prepare 100 predictions per day and at the end of the day he will delete the wrong predictions, and so on. If he continues to do so for a month, then most of the readings will be 99% correct.

You will need to track the channel on a daily basis, which is difficult. It would be easier than that if he used third-party services such as the forum, since every modification is viewed.
1222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Ripple #Xrp airdrop website is available online. on: July 23, 2023, 02:32:30 AM
What I meant is that wallet services like Metamask or any wallet that allows web3 interactions (which usually called connectwallet), should establish an automatic security system capable of identifying unaudited and insecure smart contracts. These contracts are mostly exploited by scam web3 apps to steal all assets, token and nfts in the same way as a drainer.

It is like being closed and you do not know where the blows come from. If they do that, the whole system will be centralized, and then there must be a central authority that allows and prevents smart contracts, which is very harmful to technology.

The easiest solution, if you are greedy, is to create a new wallet in a computer that you do not use for cryptocurrencies or that does not contain any important data. In the end, if the wallet is empty, they will not be able to steal anything, and all your loss will be gas fees.
1223  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is It Normal For A Site To Ask For Your Wallet Address? on: July 22, 2023, 09:11:10 AM
you should do is stop using this wallet, it is not completely safe and many people report that it has been hacked. A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised
There are some alternatives such as buying hardware wallets or using an unstoppable wallet:

Links:

It is open source, supports many alt-currency pairs, and is safer.

USDCoins can be found on several blockchains, the safest of which is Ethereum, but the fees are slightly higher and its name is ERC20 or on polygon, which is cheaper in terms of fees and faster, and it can be close to ERC20 security, so it is the best option.
1224  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ZAN supports node services for 9 public chains, including BTC! on: July 22, 2023, 09:02:12 AM
you need to create ANN page and update it from time to time, create a topic here Service Announcements, add some pictures and designs to make it attractive and easy to read
Is this a service to monitor and track these blockchains, or is it a multi-bridge cross-chain for exchange between these cryptocurrency pairs?

https://zan.top/home/node-service/

I tried to understand the nature of the service but could not. Is it a third party service that runs a full node and why is there a pricing policy?
1225  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone is still using Paxful? on: July 22, 2023, 08:42:08 AM
This makes deals always questionable, and despite that, Paxful has maintained a high activity rate, especially in the field of gift cards. The reason is simply that the platform supports almost all countries, including countries that are not supported by some gift cards themselves. Freelancers in many countries can only get paid for their services through gift cards, which they can only sell and get their local currency on Paxful.
For gift card, it is normal on gift card exchanges that a card has been used which will lead to something like scam or not scam. One thing I have hate to do online is to sell gift card. I sell only bitcoin and stable coin like USDT.
I used to think that these sellers are agents of these companies or they sell physical cards, as the possibility of scam is less, but relying on ratings and trust makes some trusted accounts make selective scamming If account known that the other party has released the escrow or has not implemented the conditions correctly.

Freelancers keep using the same service if it is profitable so they will return to Paxful quickly.

1226  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which app would you recommend for crypto news? on: July 22, 2023, 08:11:57 AM
I use Telegram to get news updates and then use https://coinscalendar.com/ to customize it as it focuses me on the circle of news that I want to limit and thus the notifications I get are reduced.I can find breaking news or trends on Twitter, as following some accounts gives you knowledge in several areas, but Telegram channels are my favorite place. I do not remember that there was an app dedicated to that, but rather all sites or bots.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost access to my bitcoin wallet... on: July 22, 2023, 07:42:41 AM
so a few years back i had a few bitcoin on a hard drive but today i tried to access the harddrive and i ended up spilling a glass full of water all over it and now it wont boot up.

what are my options?
1) Stop using that harddrive or try to connect it to any power source, put it under the sun to dry and make sure all the water has dried up.
2) go to the nearest specialized store and ask them to help you make this disk work.

If it was just water spilled on it and you have the wallet file or seed or you remember your password, there is a great chance of getting your coins back.

If the damage is significant, some specialists can help you, but in any case, stop using it or connect it to any power source.
1228  Other / Meta / Re: How Can We Identify Someone Who Uses AI? on: July 22, 2023, 07:14:30 AM
You can determine this by comparing the quality of the English language between the posts. If there is a big difference between each post, it is most likely that the user is not the one who makes these posts, and then you can use the free AI tools to confirm your suspicions.

If the posts are paid, you can report it to the campaign manager or board mods and this spam posts will be deleted, but if all his posts seem suspicious, then create a topic about it in reputation board. Continuing this behavior after deleting your posts may lead to a ban.
1229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Ripple #Xrp airdrop website is available online. on: July 22, 2023, 06:47:52 AM
I don't think it's just Fake Ripple, but hackers and spreading malicious software. From the screenshot, there is an option to link the wallet, and thus, once your wallet is linked, the hacker can empty all the tokens in it.
These scammers are fast, no more than two weeks have passed since the news of the rise in the XRP value, and all these scam sites appeared, and therefore prevention is better than cure and avoiding these sites is better due to the slowness in the deletion process.

This scammer may be sending you free tokens but they are worthless and can only be sold on a site owned by him, and then he may ask you to send money or verify identity.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your watch list on: July 22, 2023, 06:27:29 AM
Litecoin (LTC) is my watch altcoin list right now because two weeks later halving time and I am excited with LTC back to higher price, halving waiting every four years and I don't miss with bigger opportunity after investing in Litecoin almost one month when price still dropping under $70. I don't think with short term trade because Litecoin left few days only with halving and waiting when halving time near for selling Litecoin above $200. I believe with LTC can break out almost $300 before halving time although current price today under $100 and keep holding as potential altcoin due close with halving.

I hope that you will make a profit and that you will not have any loss, but halving time is not a time when the price can double during the short term.
It is true that the supply is decreasing and the demand is at the peak, but some mining devices will exit the market and the last parity will be achieved within a period of one to two months, during which if the demand increases, the price will increase, otherwise there will be no change.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the project that you noticed OP, but I have noticed DOT before, and I also still have it in my portfolio, but today I didn't pay attention to it and just let it go, I consider it forgotten because today has a loss. Grin
New projects are less interested in this blockchain, so I do not recommend it.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moonbeam - good investment? on: July 21, 2023, 09:25:19 AM
I don’t hold Polkadot but it is top 20 crypto so how is it dying? Looking at the chart it looks like any other chart during a bear market and with the bull run only months away now should be getting back to all time high and beyond no problem?
Its presence in the top 20 cryptocurrencies in terms of market capacity does not mean that it does not die, but rather in the speed of new projects moving to it. Most projects prefer the Ethereum and polygon network due to high efficiency and cheap costs. However, Polkadot did not develop to meet the needs of new projects, so it is described as a dead blockchain. We can describe tron as a dead blockchain because if we delete USDT, the liquidity will almost disappear from it. Transaction speed, fees are competitive advantages between these two blockchains.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your watch list on: July 21, 2023, 09:03:53 AM
XRP, LTC, BTC

Those are my top coins to watch for, as they are waiting for the big news, and with XRP we already saw a green candle after the good news.
LTC and BTC will both have their halving that can result into a big pump sooner or later, you have to maximize this opportunity or else you might regret it later on.
The bull market will happen and no one can stop that, its only a matter of time before we finally enter such phase, I'm bullish with these list it will be worth it.
Isn't putting a cryptocurrency on my watch list to anticipate things that didn't happen or that not everyone knows about will happen? XRP had a good week, so if you were watching it before the court ruling, you would get some green candles.
LTC, BTC are all of them. The effect of halving is long-term and you will not hear a big change in the price in less than 90 days.
I put cryptocurrencies that can change in the short term on my watch list, while trading in the long term is limited to Bitcoin and sometimes Ethereum.

MATIC,Sui (SUI), Uni is a good altcoins.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’ve created a tg channel with trading calls (signals) on: July 21, 2023, 08:49:35 AM
I have created a telegram channel providing trading signals. Its free) the name is 5min calls.
Link to join https://t.me/fivemincalls
Why not share the content with us here, as it is free there is no difference between creating threads here or in Telegram, and then you leave the choice to the user either by clicking on the link and joining your group or ignoring it.
It is true that now you will get some followers, but they will soon leave, paste some of these signals here and leave some additional features for the Telegram channel.
Trading calls (signals) is a high-risk investment and you should not trust any data without doing your own research.
1234  Other / Meta / Re: Is it okay to create an off-topic discussion thread? on: July 21, 2023, 08:30:44 AM
If your topic is too off-topic or it have a zero value it will be deleted or closed.
off-topic does not mean spam, but an important topic and not directly related to bitcoin or altcoin, such as cyber security.

I am not aware if mods still delete replies on self moded threads that contradicts the local rules the OP stated.
It is Self-moderated, the management and deletion of any reply that does not violate Bitcointalk rules is up to you, and you can delete any comment.
Anywhere, if the reply violates the terms of the forum, mods can delete it. Therefore, if you put a local rule that says plagiarism is allowed, mods will ignore it, as there is a rule in the forum that prevents it.
1235  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone is still using Paxful? on: July 21, 2023, 07:37:50 AM
For gift card, it is normal on gift card exchanges that a card has been used which will lead to something like scam or not scam. One thing I have hate to do online is to sell gift card. I sell only bitcoin and stable coin like USDT.
How does Paxful provide a gift card escrow service, where you cannot redeem thses cadrs more than once, so how escrow know who this scamming, as I can withdraw the balance of the gift card and claim that it was used or could be stolen, hacked, or with an incorrect balance, how does Paxful escrow work here. Binance P2P is currently the best as Binance can freeze, delay and control trading with the possibility of spot and staking and other features of binance which not only P2P.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 21, 2023, 07:09:11 AM
If you were in the woman's shoe, what would you do? Or if you see such amount as bitcoin in your working place with the seed phrase in aseed plate, what will you do? And probably you know the person and there is no way to locate the person.
There is a big difference between hardware wallets, in which the average person cannot access your money by owning the device only, as he needs to know the PIN or seek the help of professional hackers that may not be able to recover your coins, while in seeds, you have access to those coins, and they become yours if the user does not withdraw his money quickly.

The problem lies in how to determine the person's ownership of those coins, often people do not keep records of their purchase of their coins or they will need some time to verify them.

If the opposite happens, the best advice is to keep the seeds nearby so that you can send coins quickly.
1237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to hack a blockchain? on: July 21, 2023, 06:50:21 AM
t depends on the blockchain, and in our case it depends on how the cryptocurrency deals with the blockchain. Some cryptocurrencies are very centralized, but they deceive investors with the word blockchain, so they think that it is decentralized because of blockchain.

Here is an example, which is BSC, it contains 21 validators and they can stop the network, reverse transactions, freeze the coins inside the wallet or consider them invalid, here if these validators or Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) are hacked, literally the blockchain has been hacked. USDT is another example where the company can freeze and withdraw funds as it wants. Here, if the company is hacked, the blockchain will be managed as the hackers want. Bitcoin is the unique model of the blockchain that has decentralized properties that have been tested and succeeded so far.
1238  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every Bitcoin holder Should Take a Cybersecurity course on: July 21, 2023, 06:28:37 AM
Cyber security is a term that carries a lot of sub-sciences within it, and it is too big to be taught in the form of simple lectures for people who do not have a technical background, but what is better than that is simple advice that everyone can follow and easily avoid most attacks.

Tips could be:

  • Do not click or download an application that you do not know or trust in the developer.
  • Learn how to properly set up cold storage wallets.
  • Make a watchonly wallet on a clean device.
  • Check the sending address several times.
  • Avoid overinvesting in altcoins
  • Do not rely on security or anti-virus software. Assume that your device is not safe and take precautions based on this assumption.
  • Read and follow news and updates.

It is as simple as this.
1239  Economy / Economics / Re: AI, Robotics ETFs Are More Popular Than Crypto in 2023 - Bloomberg on: July 20, 2023, 11:09:44 AM
We must differentiate between the artificial intelligence market, which is represented by companies that give a final product, which is products of better quality than traditional methods and can have multiple uses, and between cryptocurrency AI tokens, these tokens are a pumpdumpcoin, which moves according to news, not good products. High-quality or professional Photoshop services. All the company needs is to create premium accounts, and you pay to get these services. There is no need for cryptocurrency here. Robotics is an expanding field, and artificial intelligence adds additional value to it. It is a model for companies that offer useful robots to the industry because it gives high efficiency and without a human or mechanical element, which reduces costs and thus a good opportunity for the rest of the industrial sectors. Again, these companies do not need to create tokens or blockchain because they sign annual contracts.

All end products of artificial intelligence companies do not need to create tokens, so buying these tokens is nothing more than a blind investment without thinking.
1240  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ Binance warns users about using Binance Exchange on: July 20, 2023, 10:52:42 AM
beware of platforms that offer High APYs
fast forward to today and the headlines are about Binance laying off 1000+ employees.
As much as this information seems wrong or misleading, as much as we cannot verify its authenticity from an independent third party, no one knows how many employees are working in the Binance Exchange to believe that more than 1000+ employees have been fired, and we can suddenly wake up to discover that Binance has turned into FTX Nothing but we know nothing about them except CZ.

However, the advice remains true, even if it was not said by CZ, any platform that grants high APYs is questionable, as they may rely on hot money to manage their profits and attract investors, which means you may suddenly lose all your deposits.
