Got a new laptop finally!

Need to be refreshed on how to put my back up .dat file in the correct place.....

I've downloaded the Digibyte wallet but can't find the .dat file to delete in contents... any help??

P.S looking at the price.... looks like I'm up for getting a couple more million at these ridiculous prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Mars Digibyte!

Which operating system are you on?

Windows: users/yourusrname/appdata/roaming/DigiByte/
Mac: yourusername/library/application support/DigiByte/

The wallet.dat will not be there until you open your wallet for the first time.

hello guys!
i am new with all this crypto world.i only know how to buy and sell.
what do i need to mine digibyte and is it profitable?
is it good time to buy at 15?
thnx and good luck to everyone!

Hi Perrie454
On the Digibyte website you can find some thing about mining. http://www.digibyte.co/content/digiknow-digibyte-guides
I'ts really depending of what hardware/operating system youre using or willing to use.
http://digihash.co/getting_started (Digibyte official mining pool)

15 is a great price to buy right now.
At the moment we are waiting for a update by Digibyte.

thank you.
i will check that out.

Perrie,

Welcome to the DigiByte community!

We have not yet finished those guides on the website, but they will be up shortly (the next few days). Until then what hardware will you be mining on? A CPU or GPU's?

If you have an ATI GPU your best bet is to mine groestlymyriad or skien and potentially Qubit at the moment. Feel free to ask more questions on here as there are many great community members willing to help out.  Cheers!

Does anyone know a good starting open source codebase to do this for a Windows Wallet?

With the announcement Windows is open-sourcing most of .Net this could lead to more mobile phone development in the future.

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/somasegar/archive/2014/11/12/opening-up-visual-studio-and-net-to-every-developer-any-application-net-server-core-open-source-and-cross-platform-visual-studio-community-2013-and-preview-of-visual-studio-2015-and-net-2015.aspx

Hi again,

I have found this link : https://github.com/y2bd/openwp

=> And the first open-source listed is... TADAM... the DOGE wallet for Windows Phone 8.1 ;-) I hope this is what you want.

[EDIT] You can maybe take a look here too, some contents seems interesting in this article (even if it's not directly related to the creation of a mobile wallet) : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dn520253.aspx or http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/dogemuch/81e2503a-567b-4a27-9c18-f6ba614096b7

[EDIT 2] I found this Windows Phone App too, Bitcoin Can (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/bitcoin-can/57fcf4d6-497a-4663-8da3-93cb26c83b11). The app is free, but not sure it's opensource. Maybe you can try to contact them here :
- Support@BitcoinCan.com
- or here : https://www.facebook.com/bitcoincan
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Help us test on the DigiByte Android Wallet!

We have tested several transactions to different wallets & we could use help testing a bit more before we release the wallet to the Play store. Download the APK here:

http://www.digibyte.co/sites/digibyte.co/files/dgb-multialgo-test-signed_0.apk

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42300902/DigiByte_Wallets_Current/dgb-multialgo-test-signed.apk

Remember to always back up your private keys before upgrading.

Testing right now.

Do you need some dutch translations for the app?

Sure, we would love one!

And what about a Windows Phone wallet? I know there are a bit less usual than android... but this will be a bit innovative Wink

Greetings Everyone,

First off, we understand the frustration some people are feeling as we ourselves are a bit frustrated. However, some things are outside of our control and that is the reality of the situation. Nothing bad has happened, just a slight delay in the overall big picture. Rome was not built in a day. Smiley

We will not be giving any specific announcement dates in the future as that tends to cause problems when an unforseen delay is encountered. We also want to avoid any major pump and dumps. Our goal is to achieve a steady consistant rise.

We have several irons in the fire right now and there are some very exciting things in the works. We have never been more confident for DigiBytes future!

As stated before, we are in this for the long haul and we are working hard each and every day to make DigiBye better.

Feel free to let us know any questions or concerns you may have. We are here and we are listening. Thank you all for supporting DigiByte! Cheers!

By the way, where  working block explorer for dgb ?

DigiExplorer.info

http://digiexplorer.info/

Doesn't work for me:

502 Bad Gateway

nginx/1.6.2

We have had a couple issues with the block explorer needing to be restarted every 24 hrs or so. We are working to get it functioning as expected.

I didn't receive any payouts from digihash.co for 3 days. Does someone have any infos about that  Huh
Which algorithm were you mining on? So far Scrypt & Sha256 are the only algos to discover blocks on DigiHash.

We just restarted the DigiHash pool and it appears there was some pending Scrypt pay outs that just were pushed out.

Digibyte-Groestl Mining Pool Hub
http://digibyte-groestl.miningpoolhub.com/

One of our pool's miner requested and we just opened groestl pool.

By looking at the mining & profits page
http://miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=miningandprofits
Digibyte-groestl is quite profitable than other coins currently.

Thank you for letting us know! We will add you to the list.

We possibly may have to make another delay on this. Still outside of our control Sad

does the official Digibyte groestl pool work ?  I am mining there but my hashrat isn`t showing ( I get valid shares )
We are troubleshooting this as we speak. We are seeing the same issues, valid shares, but no hash rate registration. We have had to tweak NOMP to get it to submit valid myriadgroestl shares.

If anyone has suggestions we are more than open to hear them Smiley

Also we keep getting the low difficulty rejection error with Qubit. Does anyone have any suggestions here?

Where does Digibyte core store the wallet.dat file. I can back up the data but I cannot find where the original file is the program uses.

It varies as it can be defined upon installation (for example mine is D:\Coin Core\DGB) but typically:-

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Digibyte

I believe

The "AppData" folder is a hidden one. You have, if this is not the case, to allow Windows to show hidden files and folders.
On OSX this is in the Libaray/ Application Support / DigiByte folder

HR,

How are you coming up with that analysis? Seems like certain buyers are not affected by the decline in BTC / DGB and are holding long term.

YC

Observations based on years of experience, and if I were to give you an idea as to how many years, I'd just tell you that I've been around the block a time or two . . . to get around saying that I'm getting on in years. Wink

Everyone see that 22 got hit? A 20 million plus buying spree that launched from 17. Then 10 million more went off between 20 and 22 an hour and 15 minutes later. Since the lows, we're seeing very nice expanding volume on buying, and rapidly declining volume on the pullbacks. That's an important bullish technical sign. We're also solidly above the very important short to intermediate term 16 support/resistance level. Finally, the intermediate term downtrend has been broken, and backtested, and now we only need any price above 22 to confirm a trend change. From a technical analysis standpoint, things are looking good. It's very possible that the breakdown of the descending triangle (that began forming in mid-August) to short lived minimal new lows will turn out to be a bear trap (the final capitulation of weak hands) before ultimately establishing a new trend higher.

Everything's in place, not only on a technical level, but also on a fundamental level - from a fundamental standpoint, that is to say when seen from the point of view of REAL VALUE and long term investment potential, DGB is bargain basement priced. Anyone looking for a good investment, and I use that term in company with the most serious of investments that you can think of, will be very hard pressed to come up with something better. That being said, it is speculative, of course, and should only represent that small part of your diversified portfolio that you consider speculative, but it's right there on the same playing field with the best of speculative investments which means that DGB is also for real investors, and real investment portfolios (and one thing that won't do is drive price lower).

Edit: I was just looking at Crypsty's sell stack on DGB, almost 4 BTC worth from 22 to 24 and then another 2 BTC worth of offers up to 29. That's not much, and it wouldn't take a whole lot to eat it up . . . and there might even be a lot less than that to eat up as those offers get canceled once 23 trades. Keep an eye on 23, and watch to see if all the offers up to the low 30's disappear on a break.

In fact, when looking at the "tape", market participants' behavior is indicating that there's a high probability of a quick revaluation (I'm careful to not use the word "run" as that would imply pump and dump) to 50 satoshi in short order.

HR,

Very insightful technical analysis. Thank you for sharing! These are all very good signs. We have a lot going on right now! To the DigiMoon! Smiley

FYI: more efficient Qubit kernels have been available for months, I'd say 50% more hashrate/watt (compared to sph-sgminer) and still to be optimized, this is GCN specific.

New grs-myr kernel passed first validity tests today. I estimate hashrate to be ~double but I have no consumption measurements. As I never used the specific groestl miners, I have no idea how it relates. This will hopefully be compatible with all AMD devices but since I cannot test devices I don't have those are not supported.

Do you have a link to any of these newer kernels?

Also we have myriadgroestl working at digihash.co We could use all the testers we can get! Things finally appear to be working as expected!
