Hey, can you help me please?

One simple question, where did you get the wallet file originally from? If you bought it from someone, you've been scammed!
Second, do you have a backup seed phrase for that wallet?
822  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Waste of money can be utilise in another source on: September 10, 2023, 09:55:32 PM
If you think about it that way, you could say the same thing about any kind of fun stuf f, right? But then, what's the point of life? Just piling up money without enjoying it a bit? Nah, I don't think so.
823  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Software, Which You Use Everyday- Especially For Your Wallet Security on: September 10, 2023, 09:31:23 PM
Nowadays, there are a lot of malware/antiviruses trying to steal your crypto from wallets, see Atomic wallet being compromised thread here
<...>

How did you connect malware and viruses to the Atomic wallet incident?

So please share which Windows software you use daily and especially antivirus, antimalware for wallet safety.

Linux!  Cheesy

I use CCleaner software for computer cleaning together with CCEnchancer, which improve CCleaner cleaning.

CCleaner is useful for system optimization and maintenance that removes junk files from your PC. It doesn't work as an antivirus or antimalware tool, so it won't improve your wallet's security at all.

To pass a decision at least 50% of DT1 member's vote should be mandatory. This can reduce potential bias as well.

50% of all DT1 members? That will almost never happen.

my scam accusations are legit and i assume there is no coincidence that others are also claiming rollbit scammed them. i just made sports bets and thats it. they are accusing me of multi accounting and not telling me which other accs.

When it comes to your case, proving it's a scam on their part isn't exactly straightforward. Rollbit claims they have substantial proof of your multi-accounting, while you deny it. So, it appears you have two choices here. You can either consider Rollbit Razer's offer or take this complaint to their licensor, who will ultimately determine the validity of the evidence against you.

rollbit is holding my winnings and even my deposits and not answering in chat. it is 3 months i cannot withdraw and just being completely ignored.

That's not the case – they did respond to you in the chat and here. Now it's up to you to decide whether you want to go along with their request or consider other options.

Also, a signature campaign does not mean a site will not scam. If you believe that, you might be slow in the head.
I may not be entirely correct but this is how I do it. I like to see gambling sites with signature campaign. It makes me think that the gambling site still have money and advertising makes it more possible for the gambling site not to scam if more people can register and start to gamble. Unlike a gambling site that do not advertise. Advertisement is very important in a business.

Yes, advertising is important from a business perspective to attract new customers (gamblers). But, just to provide a few examples off the top of my head:

1xBit had several sig campaigns over the years.
Betnomi had a sig campaign and even sponsored some forum contests.
BitLucy had a sig campaign from the beginning until the very end.
Adkinsbet, KawBet, AceDBets ... They all turned out to be scams in the end.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate when a casino invests in forum promotion, but that alone doesn't guarantee its reliability.
827  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us build the greatest crypto casino on: September 09, 2023, 05:37:54 PM
Instead, why not consider a phased approach? Start by developing a minimal viable product (MVP) for your casino. This way, you can have a working version with essential features, launch it, and get real user feedback. As you gather data and user insights, you can gradually enhance your casino, adding new features and improvements based on actual player experiences.
This is exactly same thing I pointed out in my previous comment after stating how first developing a test casino will not be so cost friendly cost especially if op has a limited budget for the project ..

Yeah, I missed your post earlier because it was on the previous page. My bad!

Several other platform I know(not necessary to start mentioning names), started their journey with an MVP, and as time goes on , they were improving it, adding new features, adjusting already existing features to make them work better and more effectively.

And within just a few years , or less for some, a company that started with an MVP become a very big robust platform with several features and everything that makes a platform robust.

I don't see any issue with dropping a few casino names here, and I would love to read more about such cases. Usually, in the ANN threads of other casinos, we avoid promoting competing sites, but this is a general topic and not directly linked to a specific casino platform.
828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 09, 2023, 02:29:55 PM
Hello dear Rollbit.

May I ask why got so many Scam Accusations against you?

In the Scam Accusations topic only on the first page you got 3 I can only guess, but it's many more, other pages, and people that don't sign up on this forum.

Have you had a chance to look into any of those accusations? I just did a quick check. In one case, the accuser eventually got their money back, but they never returned to the forum to confirm or dispute it. In the second case, it's about a user who was blocked after withdrawing $68k, supposedly through arbitrages and market manipulation on Rollbit crypto exchange. As for the third case involving live blackjack, it's still a bit murky, and I don't see enough evidence to definitively conclude that the casino cheated the player.

This is really worrying. Please don't scam your customers.

What led you to that conclusion? You didn't point to any particular case; you simply brought up three accusations you observed without verifying their validity. In the online casino industry, it's rare to find a casino with a long history that hasn't faced complaints from unhappy players. Many of these complaints turn out to be baseless.

And before you jump to any conclusions, no, I don't work for the casino and have no incentive to defend them, even though I wear their signature. I'm just sharing my honest perspective without any prejudice.

Help is needed

We see these kinds of posts a lot in the Beginners & Help section. They can be boiled down to this:

  • Newbie looking to make money online.
  • Introduced to Bitcointalk forum by a friend or relative.
  • Interested in learning about various cryptocurrencies.
  • Curious about ways to earn from the platform.
  • Seeking guidance.

Now, the real question is, what sort of guidance are you looking for from fellow forum members? You've already made your way here, and you're obviously able to read and write, so what's holding you back? Why not continue exploring and learning about what interests you? And, what happened to your friend? Why can't he help?

Oh, and by the way, welcome to the forum!  Wink

Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?

I didn't fully understand. Do you want to create a Bitcoin forum app and distribute it through the app store? Or do you want to develop an app store exclusively for Bitcoin forum apps? If it's the former, what are your plans for the app? What will be its purpose and functionality?
831  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: September 09, 2023, 12:07:14 PM
<...>
I am not doing any investigation, just wondering why did he disappear, is he really afraid that his connection with owners may cause him trouble? Because this definitely is not a rest. Hope everything is alright.

We can only speculate, but it looks like he's doing fine. We can see recent activity on his account and some blockchain transactions in wallets he's used before. So my guess is that he just wants to keep a low profile and distance himself from his forum account. I'd probably do the same if I were in his shoes, after the whole ChipMixer situation. Regarding his role in the CM campaign, I think you'd have similar questions if it were any other campaign manager. I can't say who the most popular manager was back then, but I can see that DarkStar was quite active and had a good reputation even before the CM campaign.

Besides, it's not uncommon for active members to eventually step back from the forum. Real life keeps us all busy. If we look at how he's been using the forum over the last few years compared to before, it's clear that he's been slowing down his activity. Based on ninjastic.space, he only posted around 250 times last year, which is way less than what he used to post in previous years. Plus, who's to say that DarkStar is his only account here? He could still be around incognito, and we wouldn't even know it.  Wink
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: September 09, 2023, 11:12:14 AM
How crédible the platform is and how much it's trusted doesn't matter. What matter is the house edge. If I'm supposed to choose between two casinos then I'll choose the one which hes the lowest house edge.
This is something I've learnt across the years.

Can you please elaborate more on what you mean by house edge as regarding to this your comment? I have rack my brain a little bit and couldn't grab the meaning. Trust and credibility has a role to play as far as I am concern despite the fact I am yet to know what house edge means. Numerous gambling sites out there and one needs to be careful and chose the trusted ones to play with. In this forum, we have read a case of gambling site confiscating user's funds without any reason or explanation, while some processes transaction at a very pace. Gambling on such sites is inimical and should be discouraged unless they improve.

You can see how 1xbit has earned a bad reputation for itself and it promoter in the forum for their dishonesty and how people are warned to stay away from their site at all cost. Credibility and trust really matters.

You're absolutely right. I don't understand his logic either! Comparing the 'house edge' with the credibility of a casino doesn't make much sense. What good is a low house edge if the casino is scamming its players? Even with a 0% house edge, depositing money at such a casino would be foolish. If I had to choose between two casinos, I would first look at the reputation of both companies, only then would I compare the house edge and other perks.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: September 09, 2023, 10:48:35 AM
do anyone withdrawn successfully the winning amount and if yes what was the process, it was seamless or you need to pass a hard kyc?
I think it is very rare to deposit a small amount and withdraw a winning jackpot. I once got such a jackpot in a casino in our country. I won 200,000 in local currency but after withdrawing only 40000 my account got banned.
Why was your account banned? Even if you are requesting a high withdrawal, the platform should only ask you for KYC or whatever they require from their players when they ask for big withdrawals but banning the account is in no way the right thing to do, it means that the platform that you were using was not trusted since they couldn't even let you withdraw the money that you have won through a jackpot that they offered themselves, doesn't sound normal to me.

If they didn't have enough money to pay the jackpot then they should have reduced the jackpot amount so that even if a user manages to hit the jackpot, they wouldn't need to ruin their reputation by banning their accounts instead of asking for KYC and then letting them withdraw the money.
They will not allow me to withdraw my winning money that's why my account has been banned. I tried to contact them in various ways but got no response. I can't get any legal help because casino is banned here. So submitting kyc document is also risky here.

That's not why, but the result. What was their reasoning for your ban? They had to give you at least some kind of explanation, right?

Moreover, you previously mentioned winning a jackpot at a casino in your country, and now you're claiming that they're banned there. What's the real story here?
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 09, 2023, 09:31:22 AM
Any casino, even those that have been around for a while, can potentially scam at some point. However, reputable casinos are generally less likely to do so because they have a lot more at stake in terms of their reputation, unlike new platforms that don't have as much to lose.

I do not think it is necessary that a gambling website has a forum presence before we patronize them. There are a thousand other forums and social platforms with a huge casino players presence on it, they can be on any of the other ones or use popular social apps for promotion.

If the website accepts crypto then it is a positive if they are aware of bitcointalk, but still not a necessity.

Yes, but we are now in this social community. There is no point in discussing other social platforms in this context. Also, we have a trust and flag system to alert members, which other platforms may not have. That is why I think it is important that the casino has an official representative and ANN topic here.

835  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feature idea: give DT1 the ability to remove specific feedbacks from DT on: September 08, 2023, 09:53:47 PM
Rather than not displaying the feedback, it would work better (IMO) if each feedback simply displayed a kind of "legitimacy score" next to it based on the strength of DT upvotes versus downvotes.

I just had a similar thought that I shared in another thread. What if we had a voting system, similar to the one used for flags, where a certain number of DTs could collectively override the initial trust rating and move it from negative to neutral status? It seems that we're generally in agreement that neutral trust has been somewhat underutilized on the forum, and most of the issues tend to stem from the improper use of negative trust. This change could potentially mitigate the ongoing dramas that we've been witnessing in the Reputation Board for quite some time.
836  Economy / Reputation / Re: If someone is a proven liar, do they deserve to be given negative trust? on: September 08, 2023, 09:05:57 PM
If someone got negative trust for lying, the trust rating of the majority of this forum would be in the red. It's not correct to use the trust system in situations unrelated to trading in this way.
It has become annoying that the trust system has been used for personal ambitions rather than trading in this forum for a long time.
Which is why i've said many times that we need a reputation trust system and a trade trust system. At least if we had 2 different systems we would have more things to complain about as people would misuse 2 systems instead of 1.

You bet! The current trust system already leaves some folks scratching their heads. Can you imagine the chaos if we introduced another layer of complexity with a second one?  Grin

But I agree, the current system has its flaws and definitely leaves plenty of space for drama. In my opinion, it should be fixed. Introducing some form of voting for negative trust ratings, similar to what we have for flags, might help improve things, even if only to some extent.

For instance, in cases like this one, where BenCodie made a somewhat bad judgment call resulting in an undeserved negative rating, DTs should have the power to overvote the OP and change the rating from negative to neutral.
837  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 08, 2023, 06:09:28 PM
I have wise up and checking every link I click on.
Hope this post can help next person looking for answer who gets phished on stake because stake is too busy to explain all this.

It's good that you want to warn people about such attacks, and hopefully, you've become more cautious moving forward. But, I'm not entirely sure what you expect Stake platform to do in this situation. Phishing attacks are incredibly common, possibly one of the most common online threats. I receive phishing emails almost daily, targeting services I've never even used. Given that Stake is a highly popular online gambling platform, it's only logical that it's a prime target for phishing attacks.

Nevertheless, the primary responsibility for protecting yourself falls on you. You mentioned using 2FA, which is good. However, even with 2FA, you should never enter your login credentials on fake websites. My recommendation is to consider using a password manager; It can greatly reduce the risk of falling victim to such situations in the future.
838  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔴Your Guide to Registering at ⚡ Vave.com ⚡ Crypto Casino 🔴 Free Spins*🔴 on: September 08, 2023, 05:46:52 PM
Dude, you're quite the detective.))
According to your logic all who recently registered - all fakes.

I didn't mention anything about people who registered recently. Where did you get that idea?

The player used a proxy and did not follow the rules.
And the rules should be read carefully, sometimes in the details hides the truth.

I can see that you might not have all the details on this, so let me explain it in a more personal way: Imagine you're the player in this scenario. You've been playing by the rules, making deposits and withdrawals without any trouble. Then, you have a big win, and out of nowhere, the casino changes the rules, preventing you from cashing out your rightfully earned winnings and taking away your money. Now, does that sound fair or logical to you?

This forum is not very friendly. you write a comment, and you will be completely scolded.

I disagree. This forum is indeed very friendly, just not towards scammers like your boss and his minions.
839  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us build the greatest crypto casino on: September 08, 2023, 04:21:36 PM
I agree, creating a test casino can indeed be a good step in the development process, allowing the developer to experiment with various features and gather initial feedback. It's like building a prototype to understand what works and what doesn't before committing to a full-scale casino. However, as some have rightly pointed out, it might not be the most cost-effective approach, especially if resources are limited.

I have the feeling that you care more about this situation than the author himself. Besides, all your posts are just a non-stop stream of hatred with no real basis. Be honest, do you get paid for this trash talk?)
This is more than just the "author", it is a cause for concern when a casino suddenly and suspiciously implements a new rule out of nowhere and conveniently prohibits a gambler from withdrawing his money. also, it is quite ironic to say "Do you get paid for this trash-talk" when your first post after registering on this forum is to shill for this gambling site, Be honest, are you a shill account for vave.com?

Yeah, It's quite the coincidence that his post popped up just as TwitchySeal shouted, "Time to call in the shills!"  Cheesy

For those who might not know, Mayyyy is one of the characters in that spammer/shill squad who tried that stupid stunt to boost Vave casino. They flooded this thread with a bunch of newbie accounts and faking all that engagement a couple of months ago.

Let's not forget the rest of the accounts from that very same litter:

I've been playing on Vave for 2 months now and I can say that the platform has implemented the interface, deposit and withdrawal procedures quite well. It is nice to see that companies are developing in the right direction and not just connecting a million poorly performing payment systems.
