Only scam coins in the list?

I agree.

Where is the option for None?

 Cheesy

Why scam? Because you bought too high?  Cheesy  Cheesy

All DEVs are still operational Smiley Maybe MARYJ not, but other DEVs are still active, so there is no scam in any of those coins.

Do you actually think I would buy any of these worthless PND coins?  Too many other legitimate coins with a possible future to waste time with these fad weed coins that will never be used for anything other than buying a bong on some crappy website.

Hmm, I can't see what this user posted.  Nice.

It goes against my beliefs to ignore people but the personal attacks were too much.  I could go back and post many of them but I don't feel the need to rehash old nonsense.

844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: November 26, 2014, 04:27:16 PM
I've never put a user on ignore in my life and I don't take this lightly.  I believe that all views and opinions should be heard regardless of whether I agree or not.  Unfortunately this user is not voicing any opinion, they are just spamming the thread with things from the past and personal attacks against me.  Wishing people dead has no place anywhere in a civilized society.  Since I am tempted to respond to this child and continue this nonsense I have decided to just get it out of my sight.

Hopefully that will put an end to this spammer and it's personal attacks against me that are cluttering this DarkCoin thread.  At least I won't see them.  Lifes too short to be bothered with foolish nonsense.

When one pool has a majority (or even very large plurality) of the network hashrate, it changes the currency from decentralized and trustless to centralized and trusting

Aren't you confusing a pooled mining effort with an individual mining effort ?

I wouldn't regard "pooled" mining as the same as centralised mining because you don't have control over the mining effort. It goes up and down outwith your control.

Not at all. The pool owner has total control over what to do with solved blocks (withhold them to launch an attack, mine on an alternate chain, etc.). It's sort of like a corporation that has 1000 voters, but 510 voters give one person their proxy. Even though the process is nominally decentralized, in reality the person who holds the proxy of 51% of the voters is going to have unprecedented power.

And it's not even about the pool owners. They could be the best guys/girls in the world, but they can still get hacked just as easily as anybody else.

In a perfect world mining pools wouldn't exist.  Everyone would solo mine.  Unfortunately that's not going to happen.  Mining pools have to much invested and too much income to go away.  In fact I'm sure that many of the new crap coins being launched are all part of the same group running pools, small exchanges, and launching coins.  They launch the coin, host a pool, and list it on their own exchange.  They have hundreds of screen names.  It's well organized and highly profitable since there is never a shortage of fools mining and buying worthless coins with no features strictly based on the logo and name.

Is there a way to make Monero botnet proof?

Yes, by making computers botnet proof

I don't think botnets are that big of an issue.

Alright, this hands down made me laugh out loud. I feel like if this isn't from a movie, it damn well should be.

I laugh at all of his posts too.  Clowns are funny.

Smic, cant connect again Angry , even after download scratchpad
please reconnect
pools works i have tested now

Code:
minerd.exe -a wildkeccak_ocl -o stratum+tcp://dnc.8pool.dtdns.net:3555 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x -k http://dnc.8pool.dtdns.net/scratchpad.bin -l scratchpad.bin

No, I cant connect too... I tried hour ago and now again, deleted and  downloaded  scratchpad.bin
Still: stratum_recv_line failed
       ...retry after 10 seconds

i verify.
do you have used a new string ?
minerd.exe -a wildkeccak_ocl -o stratum+tcp://dnc.8pool.dtdns.net:3555 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x -k http://66.175.220.129/scratchpad.bin -l scratchpad.bin

Yes, tried just now, but still no connection..

scratchpad.bin is stored in the folder where is your miner software AND in c:/user/name/ appdata /Local /boolberry. Del *.* for new scratchpad.bin when connect to pool

So what actual changes other than emission rate to the original Boolberry code that this was cloned from have been made?  Not even changing the paths from Boolberry to DarkNetCoin?  Roll Eyes

Like when people say that it is a Scam, just all want to buy and saw the chance, when Whale dropped the price below 5K. Everyone understands that will soon pump, only a complete moron can now sell, unless of course it is not the manipulation of a Whale.  Roll Eyes

Only a moron would buy this shitcoin.  You say whale dropped the price to 5k.  That was the dev dumping his coins you fool.

This is a scam.  The only purpose for this coin is for the dev to make some btc.  This coin has no future just like every one of the other shitcoins launched by veteran scammer carsen klock.

So how did this work out?

what's up with heavy fluctuation today ? It seems like a failed pump.

It's not a failure when the pumpers dump for more than what they paid.

And yet this crap site has DRK listed as losing value in the last 24 hours.  This is neither true against BTC nor the dollar.

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/filter-non-mineable-and-premined/

Crap site?  That's pretty harsh isn't it?  Coinmarketcap just takes the averages from all the exchanges DRK is listed on.  The price it lists is in line with the price on Cryptsy which has the largest volume of trades.  If you look at that chart that was posted you'll see that the 17.4% increase is for 30 days.  Coinmarketcap uses 24hrs.  If you look at the thirty day chart for DRK at coinmarketcap you can see that increase.  Instead of calling coinmarketcap a crap site maybe you should make sure that it's showing the same data as the other site.  In this case it isn't.

If you go to the currencies tab at coinmarketcap and select "all currencies" it will show the last 7 days change percent.

Maybe you should send a request to coinmarketcap to include a 30 day change percent instead of attacking them because the way they display data doesn't show the 30 day change percent.  I'm sure it would be easy for them to implement and it's something I would like to see as well.

I did check.  It was incorrect over 24 hours. I also checked its last update timestamp just to make sure it wasn't just missing this morning's minipump. The 24 hour data was not even close when I made that post and probably isn't now.

Isn't their 24 hours literally a rolling 24 hour period?

I think  it does.

It was showing ~5% loss for the rolling 24hr period against BTC at 1143 GMT.

Hey, looking at my initial post I came off as somewhat harsh and abrasive.  That wasn't my intention.  Sorry for that.

Yes it is.

Edit:

I stated in a previous post that I didn't know how they averaged.  Upon further inspection I determined that they use a 24 hour rolling period.

Hmm, it can't be off by that much.  I don't know how they average but they are pretty accurate considering the way the price is all over the map depending on exchange.  For instance, someone bought DRK for  0.0129 at SwissCex.

0.01299996   18.38808537   0.23904437   BUY   2014-11-25 06:38:12.968

Would it be better if they used that price?  It wouldn't be accurate but would look good on a chart.

Overall coinmarketcap does a pretty good job.  It may not be perfect but what is?  Besides, 24 hours is meaningless for long term investments.  However, 24 hours is very important if you're a daytrader.  I don't know what you are and it's none of my business.  But if you're holding then there is no need to worry about a 24 hour chart.  With the pnd groups working coins for a few hours before moving to something else 24 hours isn't an accurate representation.  And yes even DRK gets PND'ed from time to time.  Nothing you can do about that though.

It's still a good idea to request the 30 change percent from coinmarketcap if you use that site.  The 30 day is more informative than a 24 hour chart when evaluating trends.

Edit:

There's a request form link at the bottom of the coinmarketcap page and  I just submitted a request to add a 30 day change percent.  You should do the same.

Sure are a lot of DarkCoin people posting in the first couple pages of this thread.  Not that it means anything.  Just kind of odd.

Bracing for the imminent "your spreading fud" attack.

Gonna have to check this out..........

Best of luck - still reading :-)

Haha, excellent stuff mate! Smiley

Not sure how many Indians will be running rigs, even with X11, but that's what cloud mining is for eh?

I'll be chucking some hash at this, it has serious potential!  Cool

Great sounding project.

What a slam dunk it is to directly target an audience without access to banking but *with* access to internet services. This could be huge.

Good luck with the launch !

I am curious how far it will go.
Bookmarking and wish you all guys luck.

What wasted vote? Sad Sad Sad
 Appears on the exchange?

they don't have cryptonote coins in there

where else to vote?

These exchanges have already added cryptonote coins.  It's doubtful that any will list this coin since there is no dev or activity though.  Good luck.  Can't hurt to ask.
