I'm averaging 5017GH/s after 3 hours at 625MHz. Very solid product, great work bitmain!
I'll be setting up my 240 power meter setup next to get some readings. I may be getting close to this PSU's limit at 625MHz, so I'll continue testing after i can monitor everything properly. Going to keep upping the OC until I find it's limit.

If you decide to part it out at some point I'd take 1 cube with fully functioning dies (at 325MHz).

Just got mine, looks like it's a good one. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FToq9Izf.png&t=663&c=M_6B2L8dDrUenw) Going to test 625MHz now.

So I got my shipping notification from bitmain via email this morning. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FwfuiBDM.png&t=663&c=0WT_RVYae_n-Dw) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fsft22SL.png&t=663&c=YUcsJGb3MY-yDA) Interesting that bitmain claims that it was supposed to be shipped on the 28th of September but it only went out on the 8th of October. Guess they decided to stress test it for another 12 days to make sure I got a good unit! ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Heh, good luck ever getting this "compensation". It took me 6 months of fighting tooth and nail to get my promised batch 1 S4 PSU failure compensation. In the end, it wasn't even bitmain who compensated me, it was Yoshi who did paying me directly out of his own pocket. Really sad stuff. Bitmain totally reneged on their promise. I guarantee most of us won't see any comps, not that they're even worth fighting for. I wish bitmain would just go back to be the honorable and reputable company they once were. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Hopefully (very unlikely, unfortunately) this is only a speed bump. Yoshi is a great guy. He and his team are great to deal with. I truly wish the company was a little more on his level with customers. I still remember a conference where S3 was new and Yoshi took a decent amount of time to talk specs, and talk S3 mining with me. He made it very enjoyable. I vote to promote Yoshi in the company to running more then some of the support. He knows how to treat customers. Yes, he's definitely better than average over there. He's too busy to deal with individual customers, though. End up having to repeat answers 5 times before actions happen. Not his fault I imagine, he's simply too busy to keep track of everything.

Regarding the Neptunes
Is there anyway to undervolt/underclock these so they don't pull close to 400Watt from one cube? The cables get very very warm.
Anyway to make it pull around 200Watts?
It's as simple as lowering the clock speed and voltage in the advanced page. Setting each die to 250MHz and lowering the voltages should get your close to 200w. Verify with a DC AMP clamp.

Still no word on my 4 units...
Ordered 8/30 @16:47, payment confirmed 9/1 @ 10:54.
Will be asking for a full refund and to send the power supplies back, If I get refunded but hung with the power supplies I will call it a win.
:/
I ordered and paid on Sept. 2nd with BTC. My account on bitmaintech.com still shows the order as unshipped, but it is definitely shipped out. The only reason I know this, is that UPS called me to set up brokerage to import into Canada. They provided me with the tracking number at the same time. It's very possible that your order is already shipped also, especially since yours was paid a day before mine.

Anyone else with a recently shipped order following their tracking info? Usually when I order from bitmain packages go from China to Alaska. Seems like this time they're making a pit stop in Osaka, Japan. First time I've seen that with UPS and bitmain.

Where are you guys getting that there will be compensation for orders shipped after the 10th? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Okay so has anyone had a shipping notice for today oct 8th?
Has anyone had a shipping notice for yesterday oct 7th?
anyone had a shipping notice for tues oct 6th?
lastly anyone had a shipping notice for mon oct 5th?
There's some movement in the shipping department. My account still shows unshipped, but UPS just called me to set up brokerage on the delivery. Apparently I'll be receiving my first S7 which I ordered on the 2nd of September on the 13th of October.

Still no shipping movement
im sure they were testing the product thoroughly to ensure best experiencefor the customer. LOL Ha Exactly Nice that batch 2/3 is +-5% So your batch 3 4800ghs can run 4560ghs and STILL BE IN SPEC And your batch 2 4600ghs can run 4370ghs and STILL BE IN SPEC If I can get around the speed of four s5's I'm happy. We don't have to worry about any of the units being +5% faster. We'll only get a bunch on 5% slower units if they don't run at advertised speeds.

Well, after all discussions here, are the S7 is good thing to enforce the mining farm with? Sure, their efficiency is good (and it's definetely the best available for upper-home level miner for now), but what about their reliability? ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I don't know, seem pretty hit and miss again. And the price is pretty hefty too. I think people that have acceptable electricity costs should stick with S5's and just let the S7 decrepit in price and prove itself first. Unless your electricity cost is too high, then you could get a S7 but at that electricity cost i'm not even sure you can ROI the S7 before the halving with such electricity cost. At which point i doubt they will be worth more in 6 months than what a S5 is worth now. An S5 is worth ~ $300 now. Your way off thinking an S7 will be worth $300 in 6 months. I am? Then how much do you think a S7 will be worth with the halving? The S7 will suddenly less efficient then than the S5 is efficient now. So how am i way off? The S7 is not only very overpriced right now, it is also not that efficient. Competitors have 0.15 and 0.06 efficiency chips. I don't see the S7 being worth much at all then, just nope. Don't worry, I'm sure bitmain has 0.06 and 0.15 chips too. We'll get those in a few months when they're done selling their old S7s.

My A2s all have ~19/17W fans (12V/1.6A or even 12V/1.4A). May I ask what kind of fans you are using now?
Honestly, I put some slower fans in there since the stock Nidec BETAV TA450DC seemed to be pretty overkill. I replaced the 3 front fans with Yate Loon D12SH-12 fans (~2200rpm) and added two 140mm fans to the back (Yate Loon D14SM-12). My temps seem to be pretty close to what they were with the stock fans (maybe 2-3 degree difference at their hottest point), but the A2 is a lot quieter and uses about 50 watts less at the wall. I'm sure if you had a bunch of them in a data center it wouldn't really matter and you'd want the extra airflow with the stock fans, but in a residential setting with just a few units these replacement fans seem to be pretty suitable. Yeah, if I were running them in my house instead of my garage I might care about the noise. My A2s are at a disadvantage, though. My 60MH only has 2 fans pushing air through in the back, and the 88mh only has 3 fans in back pushing air through.

What is the highest clock speed available with the ANX firmware? Can someone share some screenshots of it?
The highest clock rate on mine is stock (1200) - I don't support any overclocking, only underclocking, as I don't have the source to cgminer so can't modify it in the same way Emdje does on his. So for right now you've got a choice between functionality and working on all (my latest A2's didn't work with his firmware) terminators on mine, and overclocking on most terminators on his... I see, thanks. Being able to run at 1300MHz is the most important factor for me, unfortunately. I'll keep an eye on your thread with my fingers crossed!
