861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Store your bitcoin on: March 20, 2020, 10:14:47 AM
The crypto markets will rise again after several months says who? Your crystal ball?

He's not wrong though, the market did rise today, though not the original price 1 month ago. The price is now currently at $6,700 as of writing this.

Though we can't really predict the future, all we could do is speculate and invest what we can afford to lose. Just like he said, holding is one of the best strategy right now (at least for me) because it's not like Bitcoin isn't growing. Bitcoin is bit by bit growing with adoption and with that, the users, and the price correlates with it. Dumps are just temporary, we've already seen Bitcoin rose many times whenever a dump happen.
862  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Akyat nanaman sa $6,000 ang Bitcoin! on: March 20, 2020, 04:12:08 AM
The total market cap just around the other day was below $100b pero ngayon halos umabot na Naman sa $200b. Talagang it's pure speculation and napaka volatile ng crypto market, I don't want to link it with the ongoing pandemic that's slowly decreasing especially in China but I have a hunch that may koneksyon nga ito.

It's all speculation and we might see reds again if this is just a bull trap. It may be a bull trap, a bear trap no one really knows.

864  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for posting in BitcoinBangladesh.org forum on: March 19, 2020, 08:04:30 AM
Jeez, it looks like the old cryptotalk forum. Where are you getting this templates for this forums anyway? looks so generic.

2. We really need people who are motivated to contribute for bitcoin not with the motivation of getting paid, very honestly speaking. We know we have to deal with spammers but I can assure you that we will do everything we can, to prevent spamming. We need exposure, so we came up with this idea and through this process hopefully we will find some good knowledgeable users to work with us to spread the culture of Bitcoin in Bangladesh.

You won't find any of that here because why would people go to your site when Bitcointalk is enough? getting paid is the only motivation to go to your site to be honest, it's not even in english so I doubt you'll get any significant traffic at all.
865  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Gaano ba kahalaga? on: March 19, 2020, 05:33:04 AM

As much as possible, gusto kong I-hold ang mga assets ko lalo't sobrang cheap ngayon.

To be honest, hindi naman magiging problema ang pagkain kahit na may virus na pandemic pa.

866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Theft on: March 19, 2020, 04:33:56 AM
i think the person got scammed were amazed by this persons offer, well i can't blame him/her if this two promised is  an eye opener, but this should be a lesson for those who will try to do this kind of scheme, find a job or be in jail for this kind of mess, for those who will be a next victim or if you feel that the offer or promised is too good to be true , stay away , or just don't trust people who you don't know personally, but hey sometimes personally know person are scammers too , beware and keep safe

Dude, did you even read the whole news? this scam isn't about victims getting an offer, it is about 2 scammers pretending to be a tech support for HitBTC. The victims aren't offered anything but instead got fooled to the point where they gave out their personal information to the fake support team.

I think it is some how funny how some people fall for some of these scammers. if I have an issue with an exchange they do have customer support, why not contact them, when someone from an exchange contact you asking for your coin, then you should run from that exchange, because something doesn't add up

It's 2 years ago, they probably didn't know that anyone asking for personal information is not a member of the real team since they are probably new to cryptocurrency at the time when Bitcoin was still booming. Maybe it was recommended to them by someone? maybe they googled HitBTC customer support and the first to came up with is that twitter account? because sometimes SEO is a really good help with this kind of things. Though it's 2 years after, at least justice is served.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV Supporters! Let's all Unite! Let's all educate newbies. on: March 18, 2020, 08:56:27 AM
But BSV is not the only coin losing here, what about BCH? What about Bitcoin? What makes you think that once Bitcoin recovers back to 9k BSV will still be lagging behind and not reclaim it's glory state? Let's not judge any project for now because crypto market is not in a happy mood

Okay first of all, this thread was made JANUARY 16, 2020, that was the time Bitcoin was still holding up $8,500+. This proves that you are one of those BSV zombie fanboys.

glory state? more like scamming state. The only reason why it rose up to $400 was because of the news that he had a secret "courier" that will prove that he owns the wallet in FEBRUARY, where is it now? He doesn't have any shit to give anymore, what makes you think it will raise again? lol. Oh wait, if he can forge documents, maybe he'll forge another just to make you fanboys shill his scam coin again? maybe.

BSV only lose 26% so what's big deal about this? Bitcoin loses 30% and it's same thing for NEO, EOS BCH and others too so what's the big deal? If Bitcoin starts growing once again these coins will bring back what they've lost easily, they are top altcoins damn it

26%? that was JANUARY 16, 2020 after he finish dumping his coins to those newbies like you. Look at the price, I dare you to say it's still 26% down since all-time high which was Jan 14, 2020 (2 months ago).
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen tomorrow when the stock markets worldwide crash again? on: March 18, 2020, 05:22:09 AM
What do you think will happen tomorrow with the BTC (up or down?) if the stock markets worldwide crash again?

I am afraid that the BTC will then go towards 3k or even less. The altcoins will hit it even harder.

I dont know what i should do today, sell all my altcoins?

To be honest if you have that mentality, you shouldn't have invested in the first place when know that Bitcoin is this volatile and risky. What I suggest to you is to relax for a minute, don't involve yourself with cryptocurrency for a month, and just HOLD. Why are you rushing? 2008 stock market and 2018 cryptocurrency have seen worst and we still rose from the bottom.
869  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Brighter sides ng events due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on: March 18, 2020, 04:28:03 AM
In an investing perspective: Down ang bitcoin, down ang S&P500, down ang PSEi index. Kung may isang potential good time man magpasok ng pera sa investments for the long term, baka ngayon un. Peso/dollar-cost average as prices go lower.

“Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.” - Warren Buffett

Pero sakin good news, tuwang-tuwa talaga ako kasi investmenting time nanaman.

870  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Brighter sides ng events due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on: March 17, 2020, 10:46:56 AM
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 17, 2020, 04:38:13 AM
This may feel as though the end has come for btc but if you already familiar with btc as a dapp developer you should be aware of this occasional drops,
This drop is not as bad as that of 2018 when most people already conclude the end has come but somehow btc still survive that heavy crash, those who had the guts to buy at 3500k made good profit when btc hit 9k and above,
So, I will advice if you don't have the stomach for this, take a break from crypto and come back a year later, maybe things must have cool off by then. Good luck.

That is what I was thinking. I don't know why people are so fixated on this dips when crashes like this proves to be a beneficial opportunity to those who can hold long. The only thing I could think of is because most people are looking for a short term profit. They think that Bitcoin is a get rich scheme and dips like this proves to be a disaster for them.

2018 was the worst crash in the history, yet we rose $10,000. How can small crashes like this be the end of Bitcoin?
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It´s not about IF but WHEN - don't panic on: March 17, 2020, 04:25:55 AM
Just don't forget that that past performance doesn't guarantee future results. Don't buy like a maniac and neglect risk management when there's a lot of blood in the street.

That's why you only invest what you can afford to lose. You are right that past performance doesn't guarantee future results but most of the time, Bitcoin rose from dips like this. Checking the history wouldn't really consume your time that much.

The risk is always there, you just have to calculate it to yield a better result and there's no better time to invest than a risky dip when you are thinking long-term.
873  Local / Pilipinas / Re: COVID-19 at ang market. on: March 16, 2020, 12:00:42 PM

874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden is bullish, BTFD on: March 16, 2020, 11:48:16 AM
It's a cycle that will never end. Those who negatively comment about the condition of Bitcoin right now instead of investing are just too afraid to lose money but too regretful when opportunities like this arrive. It's always like this, when Bitcoin dump so hard like this, they wouldn't even bat an eye but when Bitcoin starts reaching beyond $8,000 again, they'll immediately invest in it even though they have the opportunity to do so in the past.

Just remember what happened in the past years especially 2018, from almost $3,000 to $10,000 in just 2 years. It's a good thing that people like him reminds us how cheap Bitcoin is.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PlusToken exit scam moved 22,923 BTC on: March 15, 2020, 05:15:53 AM
-snip

Wow, didn't see this thread last year . I was also surprise to think that this was taken into an account by OP and no one bats an eye to it. Even a legendary member wasn't worried last year. Apparently the moment they started moving their funds, they started selling bit by bit in august too until the massive dump of -+13,000 BTC. Bitcoin market really didn't took a hit this time like 2018.

876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be a good idea to gift bitcoin? on: March 15, 2020, 05:05:29 AM
To be honest it's he is new, I'd refrain from telling anyone that I'm involved in cryptocurrency because who knows who might be listening. All those criminals or government out there waiting for their preys (not saying it's your friend, I'm referring to those who have eyes and ears that might hear or take notice of you) especially that Bitcoin is illegal in your country. Let's just say that your friend already know what cryptocurrency is then Bitcoin is a pretty cool gift especially it's cheap right now.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 14, 2020, 04:10:30 AM
What are you saying? if you believe that coronavirus is the cause of all this events, then why you are asking if it's permanent? is virus crisis permanent? let me ask you that. As a long-term holder, always think of a dip as a positive news because that's the only time that you could buy more at a low price. Wait for the pandemic to stop and you'll be rewarded by not panic selling.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset? on: March 14, 2020, 04:05:33 AM
To be honest, it depends on the current situation. In the event that a certain fiat currency is to go down, then yeah Bitcoin would be a safe place to invest your money in. But when this kind of event where food, medicine, and necessary supplies are more important then money, then fiat money would be your best bet. The decline of Bitcoin might be because of the current event where supplies and medicine are more important so it is pretty logical that everything is going down this month.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY THE BLAME ON BOUNTY HUNTERS FOR SHITCOINS? on: March 13, 2020, 12:15:43 PM
I think bounty Hunter is not to blame, even most bounty hunters are victims for now, there are many who are not paid after working for several months, some are paid but altcoin has never been listed on the exchange.
so there is no reason for Bounty Hunter to be blamed.

No reason? Bounty hunters are the main source of the advertisement for the project to go across the world so I think bounty hunters have a sin on its own. But let's not call all bounty hunters, only those bounty hunters who shamelessly shitpost everywhere, those who promote in an absurd way, and those who doesn't even do a little google of the project. Even a single glance of the campaign manager would mean a lot.
they are only advertising the ICO and they dont force any one to invest this is a own decision so need to blame them. Since its your money its your job to check legitimacy of a project before investing even it will advertise with one of the popular crypto influencer you need  to review it ,dont rely in other idea its your choice once you invest its your lost if its failed.

I barely understand what you are saying because your English is broken. Saying investors is at fault too is correct. Let's just say that bounty hunters and investors alike are at fault because bounty hunters are the ones who is advertising a scam project and the investors made the choice to purchase some. Still, saying bounty hunters are blameless is just wrong because I could say the same thing too just like you did.
Quote
Bounty hunters have a choice to advertise a project. They can research or rely on the others and investing their time to advertise it then failing at the end is their lost. See? investors and bounty hunters are the same. It's not like bounty hunters are being force to advertise a project. They have the ability to review it. Investors is just investing, it's their thing while bounty hunters are advertising because it's their thing. Much like bounty hunters see projects from campaign managers, investors see projects from bounty hunters.

The thing here is that, we all makes mistakes. No one will actually know if a project will scam or not, we can only make predictions and analysis by researching while waiting for the truth.
880  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Patulong naman dito guys. on: March 13, 2020, 12:00:03 PM
Since cryptocurrency naman ang pinag-uusapan, mag invest nalang sila sa mga altcoins or Bitcoin mismo tutal mura naman lahat ngayon.

Quote
DEFINITION of Rio Trade
Rio Trade is slang for a transaction in a financial market made in a desperate attempt to recover previous losses. Rio Trade as a term was coined with the idea that if a trader fails in his or her attempt to recover previous losses, he or she would have to hop on a plane to Rio de Janeiro in order to escape from creditors, regulators or legal authorities. Since it is executed under dire circumstances, a Rio Trade might be a higher-risk trade than a trader would otherwise consider.
