881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin creator part of the government of China? on: April 15, 2023, 07:08:34 AM
Thoughts on that Bitcoin was created by a member of China. And that once there is over 60 % adoption in the world. Someone will push a button and it will ignite to something much more powerful and controlling>? more centralized?
Does it matter these days? And what's with 60% adoption thing, I don't know if we can hit that goal I think not in the years to come, right now the estimate is that we are lower at 10% worldwide though I think there might come a surge of adoption but we don't know when, people just flock when crypto is in hype. Well, they can't centralized Bitcoin, likely those huge market cap shitcoins out there.
882  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: April 14, 2023, 09:59:42 PM
I have been reading other similar cases on different casinos, and the response from the customer support is usually the same. What I find that is common in all the cases is that the users were not aware of the Tos, they assumed everything would be fine since the casino is legitimate. With the everyday changes in policy regarding cryptocurrency, it is important to carefully read the TOs and watch for new information concerning any changes they may have made regarding kyc and withdrawal.
This is bad for users if he is not aware of the TOS and just assume based on their knowledge of KYC from the other casinos that they played, casinos' TOS differ from one casino to the other.
You just cannot rely on the casino's reputation this is part of being an irresponsible gambler not aware of the TOS but still proceeding to play, we have a long list of accusations and players banned because of violation of the TOS, and many of them fail to follow and breaking the casinos' TOS.
I think OP was aware considering the title, it's just there has been malicious activity with the account I guess that's why he has been asked for a KYC. Casinos update their TOS from time to time so as a player that has money on a casino you better be updated with these kind of changes, it's a must for an online gambler.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it necessary to mix Bitcoin that you bought from an exchange? on: April 14, 2023, 09:14:37 PM
Do you think it is a necessity to use a Bitcoin mixer to mix your bought Bitcoin before finally depositing them in your own wallet?

What is the risk associated with Bitcoin trading most especially when the source of the Bitcoin is unknown since you using it as an exchange?
If you're concern that someone may know your identity even if you bought it on an exchange then it's fine but if you just sent it on your own wallet that's known publicly then there's no reason to use any mixer, you better use a new one. If you're not someone targeted by AML authorities you don't have to worry about your funds tbh, exchanges wouldn't care on what source you get it.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to backtrace my ADA purchase(need to pay taxes)? on: April 14, 2023, 04:25:18 PM
If you can access your account in bittrex, you can obtain your exact history, and if you do not know how to extract your trading list, contact the support team (some platforms have limits of six months to a year, after which you will not be able to see the past)

If you can't log in, type an estimate and tick that when you want to calculate taxes.

This is not tax advice, and may vary by country.
I have access to my bittrex account. but what do you mean by "exact history"? you mean my order history? if yes, I have access to that too. but what I want to know is, how can I backtrace my deposits to my bittrex account? example: I deposited 1 ETH to bittrex but I dont know to which price I bought that 1ETH before depositing.
Yes, your order history. For deposits you can check your wallet address on when you've deposited it but to know exactly on which price you bought it, it should have to be on your order history as well.

I think there might have been some discrepancies if your asking on which price you bought those ADA token before depositing to your Bittrex account since that wouldn't be available on your order history but you can have an estimate if you know the timestamp before depositing it. You can check tradingview (or other price chart tools) or use Google to check on what was the price on the said date.

You can use this historical price data for ADA: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ADA-USD/history?period1=1528588800&period2=1681430400&interval=1d&filter=history&frequency=1d&includeAdjustedClose=true
885  Local / Pilipinas / Re: {Babala}: Mag-ingat sa P2P trading on: April 14, 2023, 02:24:43 PM
May feedback/reputation feature rin ba ang P2P sa ByBit? Sa Binance P2P kasi pinipili ko ung talagang mataas ang reputation kahit mas pangit ung price dahil praning lang talaga ako at ayoko ng hassle lol.
Ganoon din ako at yung trade percentage for the last 30 days lalo na kung 100% - 98%. So far, sa Binance ako pa ata tumatagal mag release kesa sa ka-transaction one time basta ang pipiliin lang talaga ang reputed na. Never ever used Bybit pero wala naman ata ganoong pagkakaiba sa lahat ng CExs maliban sa ibang mga feature na wala o meron sa Binance.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 14, 2023, 07:55:57 AM
And it will be fitting that he is going to face his former team as a assistant coach under Steve Kerr. So he might have the advantage because he should know the rotation and their defensive movement.
I don't see the advantage here because if he just copies the system, I think the Warriors have the better advantage in terms of players' skills. Also, take note that the Warriors are the defending champions, yet they haven't gained respect due to their bad regular season record, especially their road record.

So, let's talk about the road game. Based on record, Sacramento should have the advantage. However, this is playoffs, and there is a different atmosphere for sure.
It's 0-0 so there's no advantage even if Brown was used to be the assistant coach. Maybe the Warriors have different system now, and if I'm not mistaken, he is the defensive coach of the Warriors back then so if there is something that he is familiar then it will be how the Warriors play defense. On the other hand, they have new set of players and maybe they got a new defensive coach that have negated what Brown used to employ in the Warriors.

But as you have said, the Warriors has a bad record in the road, could be a factor. However, this is going to be a series so there's a lot of momentum changes, last year they were down against the Boston Celtics but they overcome them and win the NBA trophy.
I believe Kerr would have new set of strategies and would use those new players as well just to make Mike Brown wouldn't know what set of plays and defense they'll gonna make. Yeah Kings has a good record and kudos to Brown for making it on playoffs but I think Warriors has the experience when it comes to this kind of atmosphere.
887  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: April 14, 2023, 03:43:50 AM
We are expecting the bullish price to pump 60k straight up even against all odds.
This is why most people fails especially on trading thinking it's just an elevator up. I'd say we can see some chops along the road to 60k, it will not be just an easy way up. I wouldn't doubt if we could see a retracement again at $28k or $25k before hitting all time highs this year or the coming years. Again, it will have some rocky roads just like what Bitcoin did in the pasts.
888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership on: April 13, 2023, 09:53:39 PM
I wonder what comes next, is it Doge to be use a mode of payment to tip users for making some great thread? I wonder as well if it will be available to all users or just for those who pays the verified accounts, because if it's like that then it's not a great feature tbh.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout money on: April 13, 2023, 09:20:16 PM
hello is it possible to cashout money  without being the owner  without having documents to proof you are the owner  and when the account is frozen?

only thing i have is that payment method that was used  was mine and the cashout would go towards that account
If you have full control over the account then yes but if the account is frozen then that is totally impossible feat. Even if the payment method was yours that wouldn't mean much to consider a cash out since you state that the account is frozen.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 13, 2023, 08:06:21 PM
Quote

The Premier League have confirmed clubs have voluntarily agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of their matchday shirts from the start of the 2025/26 season.

This is a move to try to reduce promotion of gambling in the premier league with it's increasing audience, do you think it can successfully reduce the number of people who gamble? What do you think? Will these gambling platforms not just move to other sports, do you think other sports that wear their sponsors name in England will adopt this new development in the premier league?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/premier-league-clubs-to-remove-gambling-sponsors-from-front-of-shirts/ar-AA19Ogeu
I think not, they're just removing the sponsorship on their t-shirt but gamblers know that gambling will still exist even if they removed it. I think it has possible effects on other sports too. This might have an effect on the short term but not likely to reduce some good amount of gamblers.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 13, 2023, 12:37:50 PM
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!
The usual advice to be honest. I do think luck was the main thing in here and that's the thing for you to win ok slots or any other luck-based gambling. Even bots can lose on slots so it doesn't matter if you lose too, it's normal just minimize that you wouldn't get poor out of it or get addicted.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 12, 2023, 09:58:55 PM
LeBron has already aged, and he is not the same player he was during his championship years. Although he still has a decent game, he is getting older. In the last game, the Lakers were a bit lucky, and as we witnessed, LeBron made a lot of mistakes. If they play against a better team, they will not be able to win with that performance.
He might have aged but he can play decently as you said that matters. He can still be their leader that could make some advices especially to the young ones. This year doesn't seem to be their great and we know how bad they are with their performances and I think Memphis isn't their feat tbh.

How do you think the game 2048 is suitable for gambling in casinos? Before I started playing in casinos, in my free time I played 2048, I somehow think that in casinos this game will be a success, the game should be with a cashout.  What do you think about it? Huh
I don't think so, maybe the casino will just milk the players out of it or no one will play consider it will be easy to bored with and few players are into this game. So, no. It would have been good if there's a tournament on who will remain until the round is finish or how many points have been collected by the players for specific amount of time.
It's not about getting bored on this game, it's the question whether casino can make money out of it. But based on the responses, the game is beatable and there are cheat codes on it in the internet.

And with that, obviously casinos doesn't want to be in the losing end, they have what we call house edge, if they can't have it, then this kind of games are not going to be listed by them. There should be something here that the casino will have that will make it suitable, otherwise, No to OP's suggestion.
Well, casinos won't make money out of it. The game isn't too complex and yeah there are some cheats to make your game better. They can implement house edge easy on any games but the main problem with this kind of game is that it doesn't seem to be played by anyone.

895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 11, 2023, 09:59:39 PM
I find it funny that everyone just thinks the Lakers are gonna roll.  They had a must win game the last one of the year and could barely hold off the Jazz who were basically throwing their g league team at a full strength Lakers.  The Lakers stink.  They aren't a good team, I just think it's funny everyone thinks they would just roll Memphis (if they win tonight).  Memphis will run circles around the Lakers.  And honestly I'd be surprised if they actually win tonight even without gobert on the floor.
Well, we can't control their thoughts but maybe they're correct or they're not, we don't really know until we see the outcome. If you think they won't win then that's best if you bet it on sportsbook then that would mean much if you get money out of it.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are lotteries really a good way to engage with gamblers? on: April 11, 2023, 09:34:10 PM
Would you guys mind sharing you vision on the following:
-Do you personally take part in lotteries by online casinos?
-Do you track the progress and results of such campaigns?
-If so, are there any changes you would offer to make lotteries more exciting?
- As far as I can tell I do but not in online casinos rather some raffle draws for a cause on some forums and groups across social media.
- No, I don't.
- I'd say put it as lottery for a cause too especially the taxes you get from every draw, that would really mean to the charity and I think to the gamblers as well.
897  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30k Bitch!!! on: April 11, 2023, 05:38:59 PM
While it definitely makes sense seeing as Bitcoin was artificially hindered by the Terra and FTX debacles last year, it's unclear whether this is the big green candle or if it is a 2019-like run that will have its correction in the lead up to a later bull run.
That's what I am thinking about considering the run and I'm not doubting that scenario and let's see in the coming days on how it will play out. Furthermore, this is really a good start and yeah this indicates that the bulls are back. I'm thinking a mini alt season run but if Bitcoin starts to correct then alts will totally bleed back.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 08, 2023, 04:39:32 PM
It's hard to think how the Mavs lost that one against the Bulls. They still had a good lead in the early fourth quarter but they can't protect it which was a shame. It's hard to close out games when majority of the team's efforts are spent on offense I guess?

Warriors already had a sizeable lead against the Kings. A good statement or impression to make ahead of the playoffs.
I was not expecting the Dallas to make it to the play-in after the series of losses they had from the last 10 games. They just lost momentum and enthusiasm pursuing a playoff spot. Not sure what happened with their roster (not a fan of the team though), but I guess they'll be rebuilding again next season. Also not sure if we see Kyrie in the same uniform next year.
Not good to see any team with Kyrie on is always struggling lol.
The narrative that he'll get traded is too great and I think he'll not be wearing that uniform again but Cuban states that he wanted to keep him considering how hefty they paid for him. They should have just keep their role players instead of Kyrie, that way Luka has more playing time with the ball, it was likely they're not in good chemistry.

I would say there are lot of good entries this time also not choosing any specific one as the last decision will come out once the team go through all of them and then @Hhampuz announce the winners. We all have our personal favourite art so you all can choose according to what you like as for me digital art is more impressive as I am close to that one but respect and appreciate the efforts for all participants.
Exactly, we may see some excellent pieces but the last resort will be of that from the team, if public is the one to make decision of course there will be biases, it's best if it's them considering they are the one who organized the contest. I haven't been able to make my piece, still learning digital art and it's really not that easy making one. I guess I can make a hand drawn but with lot of other things to do first, I haven't been able to do so.
