you could perhaps export the private key which contains the tiny amount.

then after you've created a fresh wallet, import that key into your new wallet.

882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin clock on: August 08, 2012, 12:02:24 AM
i've just now printed a "Reward-Drop ETA" on the site.

it uses a fairly simple formula:

time() + ( (210000 - current_block_count) * 600 )

edit: just for the sake of documenting it here, it is currently estimating 2012-12-05 11:30:22

I like the withdrawal queue so we can see when withdrawals are being processed.

thanks. you still need to refresh the page to see it update... i think i'll try rewriting it using ajax like i do with the personal requests table.
884  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 06, 2012, 10:21:44 PM
Withdrawal request filled within hours and interest payment paid. Smiley

I was also one of those saved from double click withdrawal mistake and really appreciate the new implementation.

Thanks for the wonderfully quick service Paybtc!

no problem... maybe i should just fix the double-click thing Cheesy

Your site is great and really it's my trigger finger that is to blame. Cheesy

I'm sure won't be my last time as I made a similar mistake with a deposit at Hashking's.

I felt terrible creating more busy work for him and sending a pm, so the canceling worked out really well.

If you don't have a unique request token, how do you protect from csrf attacks?

no time for a detailed reply just yet, so i'll just leave this link here: http://codeigniter.com

hmmm i got intrest in my earnings report but it doesnt show up in my  balance :x

edit : nvm its fixed now ! thanks <3

there's a small delay between when you view things at 21:00 and when the script reaches your account for processing (in looping through all the members). usually takes about 10 minutes because i also force a small delay (a 'sleep' command) within the script between members, so as not to hammer blockchain.info with the api requests.

all are processed now and paid out, and all withdrawals cleared.

on the withdrawal page, members will now be able to see the site-wide withdrawal queue (with usernames other than your own being hidden).

this will help show the lender where they are in the queue, and help them to estimate how long until they get their request filled.
888  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 06, 2012, 06:11:01 AM
I suggest that you audit your business, since we apparently know more about what you are making than you do.

why bother when there are apparently no shortage of 'experts' willing to do that for me? Cheesy

i'm just today discovering all kinds of new and interesting things about bitcoin max.

going back to your original point, i don't think people are saying "payb.tc is poverty-stricken, so i'll donate"... i think they are saying "payb.tc is providing a great service, so i'll donate". it's not like i encourage it... you can't really even find my address anywhere unless you know of the old donate link on payb.tc website.

he's using vandroiy logic:

(interest + withdrawals) > 8000

withdrawals = ??

therefore interest > 8000
890  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox announces its new Withdraw Center on: August 06, 2012, 04:53:58 AM
when adding a withdraw method (wire) it asks for MY name and address, but doesn't ask for the beneficiary account name (company).

i hope mtgox has thought about the fact that these are sometimes different.

Actually we can only send funds to the user of the MtGox account. If the MtGox account is opened for a company, then "Your name" is, from a company's point of view, the company's name.

Without this kind of wording, some people think that they can actually send funds to whoever they want (which would be no longer a "withdraw" but a "transfer").

I was wondering about that.  It would be an AML compliance nightmare if people could add whatever accounts they felt like to their withdraw centre.  I know that some of the online poker sites would only let you withdraw to accounts you'd previously used to make deposits, for that very reason.

i agree, however i'd also think that previously-verified and accepted accounts (as shown in my withdrawal history) would have been okay.

I don't know, but I guess the calculation goes something like this:

Quote
bitcoin max gets about 9000 BTC per week in interest.

i high-lighted the key word here.

please point out any week, any evidence at all showing i get about 9000 BTC per week in interest Roll Eyes

the guesses keep getting stranger by the minute.
892  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox announces its new Withdraw Center on: August 04, 2012, 06:08:21 AM
question:

since i added my bank account twice, (once with my name, and once with the company name), only 1 has been verified and made it into the list... however i can't see which one has, because all it says is my bank name, with no way to edit it or view details before hitting submit.

so i wonder, how can i tell which one was actually verified... how can i tell what bank details that item in the drop-down box actually has recorded against it?

to see if it would take me to a further page with details on it, i entered a small amount ($2) and hit submit, but nope it's just immediately sending me $2 by international wire now apparently. i wonder where to.

members can now cancel their own withdrawal requests from within the login area, if they change their mind or circumstances change. no need to PM me anymore to cancel a withdrawal request.

thanks very much, that's very generous of you.

tbh i'm just glad you're happy with the service.

hi, but i've already been through all this almost a year ago, and have successfully sent ID documents, been verified, and have sent money to this company bank account before... so now i'm confused as to what i need to input on this more 'convenient' withdrawal centre.

i think i'll just have to send a detailed email to support i guess.

The popular geek comic xkcd, navigable through a unix-like prompt. It was an April-fool's joke a few years back.

haha: time travel mode not enabled. (shown when typing "next" on today's comic).

on the new brainwallet tab, i updated my local copy to say input type="password". perhaps you could think about this for the next revision.

people probably aren't using this in public, but might still feel better not having their phrase shown on the screen.

I had the same issue, where it says 'Your Name' you fill in your company name and not your personal name

-Charlie

well that's what i would have thought, but then, i take things too literally and obey the request to fill YOUR NAME: YOUR ADDRESS.

so i guess i'll go back and use fuzzy logic instead.

I literally did the same thing, and my wire was in limbo for like 2 weeks.

Your the smart one and actually asked lol

edited the above post... perhaps i should 'ask' if it's okay to chop of the end of your company name, before sending a wire.

it's too tempting not to say:

Mt.Gox makes your withdrawals less convenient by updating its Withdraw Center

edit: deeerrrp! the name field is too long... i hope mtgox realise that company names can be waaaaay longer than personal names :/

New customer here. Site looks awesome!

So does a DOS prompt

hmmm. i wonder if anyone has ever done that... have a website that basically just shows a command prompt, and accepts a very limited set of commands.

eg.
> login username password
> withdraw 25.4
> logout

geeky but fun.
