Du hast von vielen Einzahlungen gesprochen. Kann es sein, dass es sich hierbei um sehr viele (einige Hundert) handelt?
Es kann nämlich sein, dass der Electrum Server deine Anfragen (also die Aktualisierung deines Guthabens z.B.) nach deinen ersten X Anfragen nicht mehr beantwortet (DoS Schutz). 16 bzw. 24 Mb klingen nach sehr vielen Transaktionen/Adressen.


P.s. Wenn du sicher bist, dass der Mnemonic Code stimmt, dann sind deine BTC sicher, kein Grund zur Unruhe.

It the folder (E:\Bitcoin Core\blocks) has 300+ GB in it and core starts fine and is synced, i unfortunately don't know what the problem might be.

Das schlimme ist, dass diese "Paranoia" im Prinzip gar nicht so übertrieben ist, wenn man eben weiß was alles schief gehen kann.

Coinomi had a really severe vulnerability where they sent the mnemonic code to the google server to check the spelling of the words.
While mistakes can happen, the developer claimed that this isn't as sever since google employees stealing funds would be unlikely. They completely ignored any other attack surface coming from that vulnerability.

The really important thing is not that the vulnerability existed, but the missing competence from the developer to acknowledge it. There are better wallets with more competent developers available.




There is no central authority who gives out a prize for the "best wallet".
People might choose them as the best wallets for random reasons (e.g. good UI and easy to use), they don't necessary have the technical knowledge to question it form a technical perspective.

Ein kompromittierter Webserver bei Electrum zum Beispiel kann einfach erkannt werden.
Die Signatur der Datei wird überprüft (nicht änderbar, so wie du es beschrieben hast) und man kann sich sicher sein, dass man die originale Version hat die vom Entwickler signiert wurde. Egal ob kompromittierter Webserver oder nicht. Bei bitaddress oder ähnlichen Seiten hast du ein Problem wenn der Webserver kompromittiert ist.

Ich sagte nie, dass der einzig richtige Weg über Electrum sei.
Komplett ohne Software außer den eingebauten Linux Tools funktioniert auch.
Genauso gut funktionieren andere Wallets.

Aber Webseiten zu verwenden ist ein schlechter Weg der viel mehr Angriffspunkte liefert als die von mir genannten Möglichkeiten.

Genau desswegen sollte der Zeitpunkt der Kontrolle und der Zeitpunkt der Ausführung auch so nahe wie möglich zusammen sein.

Es ist auch möglich all seine BTC auf einem Online Rechner aufzubewahren. Es ist auch möglich das ziemlich sicher zu gestalten. Aber dennoch ist es für den Großteil der Nutzer nicht möglich das sicher zu gestalten und ebenfalls Bad Practice.




Darum geht es ja eben. Probleme um die man sich kümmern muss/sollte obwohl der eigene Rechner integer ist.
