881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 02, 2024, 06:45:30 PM
Back then I was just a student and had a small savings and when I got home there is no food for our family, and I decided to make more money by risking it so that I could buy decent meal for all of us, and it end with me losing, and decided to stop when I only have an exact amount to buy snack for all of my family member that day.
I was trying to remember if there was really one point of my life that I have hated myself for losing and for gambling. But since you've mentioned when you were still a student.

I think that I've got one before when I was already gambling and still a student back then. No job but just getting full support from my parents and it's not that big at all.

Like using my money to bet on some games, like in a physical unusual casino and as it should be for my budget, I've spent it there and kaboom I've got nothing left. So, we've got the same experience on how we've blamed ourselves for gambling and having that expected loss.
882  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skill key to success! on: February 02, 2024, 06:14:46 PM
Skills and success complement each other. Although the opposite situation can be observed in the case of somewhere. Skill is the undoubtedly crucial component to success. It enables individual to perform tasks effectively. However success often required a combination of various factors like determination, perseverance, opportunity, and somewhere luck. Skill lays the foundation. it's not always the sole determinant of success.

Most of the person getting unskilled but they are staying better position in a society or organization. By using muscle power, money and corruption, many people have settled in the important position of the country.

I think it is also a skill what do you call it ? It's a combination of various attributes that often leads to success. Maybe its depend on their faith. But you have to keep trying for success.
That's like being charismatic and if you think that's a skill, maybe or it's not really a skill but on how people look at you. Maybe it's a charm that's natural and not everyone can have it.

But let's have it with every individual, being skilled is a key to success. Look at the corporate world, they're hiring skillful people and those that are into business, they've got business skills.

And that's why every person that's skillful has their own way to achieve success based on how they work on it.
883  Other / Off-topic / Re: The use of mobile phones and a computer for forum discussions. on: February 02, 2024, 05:47:14 PM
Just use whatever is comfortable to you, when you're at home then use PC/desktop or laptops but you're also free to use your smartphones.

And when you're on the road then obviously you'll use your smartphones just to check discussions or topics that you're following.

Not really a problem on what you use as long as you're understood and you're not going off topic if ever you're going to join discussions.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: February 02, 2024, 10:58:50 AM
Go to social media and you'll see bunch of crypto influencers flaunting their profits in trading and in altcoins holding.

That's good for them but many of them don't hold Bitcoin and so, they influence the other folks that are new on this space not to hold Bitcoin.

They follow the wrong crowd, the wrong folks but soon they'll get to learn it with themselves that even if they're staying for too long, the market's sentiment is always with Bitcoin.
885  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: February 02, 2024, 04:48:48 AM
It would be great to hear most of those refund receivers to testify if they've really received a penny or none. If that was the plan to refund, it should take time but it's like past already to the deadline and now they're coming up with some new plans but not for their refund receivers.

I thought that everyone has been cheered up with this refund plan but I guess many have hoped falsely with it.
886  Other / Off-topic / Re: What conspiracy theory turned out to be true? on: February 02, 2024, 03:14:17 AM
I am not sure if this is going to count but I have been seeing contents lately about The Simpsons and all of those episodes that have similarity that happened in real life.

People tell that Matt is a time travellers, I've seen people say that it's all well planned and many says that they're conspiracy theories that tend to be true.

I dunno about them but they're pretty interesting and crazy.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 01, 2024, 11:43:29 PM
BetBoom Dacha Dubai begins in 3 days and Aurora Gaming ( ex talon players ) are already having problems with Jabz as he couldn't get his visa on time and that means , Aurora needs an offlaner asap and to be honest , I really don't know who they can take in this moment. Also , Jabz is the brain behind their strategies and calls during the game but the most important one , he is the drafter for Aurora and 23Savage needs someone who can trust with his crazy game-play style.  Grin
I saw that post of theirs but eventually they're going to see him there as the post said once the visa is done. I think that 1-2 days of delay will be fine but if it goes more than that then they'll ask someone from MENA region to play for them.

If the problem is really there and he won't be able to play, the sub might be players that they approach like mind control. He's from MENA but if not allowed by his team.

There are a lot of players there for sure that they'll ask to play if they have a coach on this BB dacha, he'd play for it but I see no information on who it is.
888  Other / Off-topic / Re: Developing a growth mindsets on: February 01, 2024, 05:58:25 PM
I believe we all as humans needs a developing mindsets.our mindsets determine the way we deal with thoughts, decisions making and situations and setbacks.i think also our willingness to grow and improve ourself helps in grabbing and seeing opportunity to grow.               Than having a fixed mindset that posses a later look at failure as an opportunity to grow, instead of seeing it as a limit of our capabilities.
It is the tip of the rich people. If you want to be successful, you have to change your mindset first. And all of those factors that you've said are connected to each other.

From decision making, to having to extract the situation based on how you're taking it whether they're good or bad. It's all about your mindset and how you see and think outside the box.

Mistakes, failures and disappointments, you have to change your mindset against them and take them as part of your growing process.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: February 01, 2024, 05:16:57 PM
I still think and believe that holding is much better than trading.
It really is.

I feel less pressure in holding than trading. But holding is also not an easy task as it requires a lot of patience. There are many investors especially those who are new but can't invest or trade or holding patiently.
There are many who hold a coin and check the price of that coin repeatedly and even get impatient when the price of the coin goes down. When the price of a coin falls, many impatiently sell the coin and those who plan to hold it for the long term wait patiently.
While it seems effortless and easier than trading. You can hope for the best when you hold because the risk is also there and you can also be active just as the traders when the market seems to be failing.

You have to make decisions whether you'd cut loss, do nothing or add more.

It is not an easy strategy opposite to what people or no coiners believe but it's a task and very rewarding work of patience.
890  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 01, 2024, 04:37:16 PM
being too self-confident might be bad, you should be more careful, even if you already have a steady income so as not to ignore the dangers of gambling, maybe now we are comfortable gambling with discipline, sometimes the temptation to gamble cannot be avoided when we are emotional, stay careful
Some slips that you've mentioned can happen to a gambler but as a responsible one, you will remember that times like those might come to you. And if you're caught off guard with that, you know the consequences that you're going to face.

But the point of importance having a regular income is to help yourself recover easy. Because times like you've lost money and you can't just help yourself recovering it by gambling again, you can just simply step out and recover through your steady income.
891  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto Free Stuff - Too Good to Be True? on: February 01, 2024, 03:44:00 PM
I am not into much with it. I remember the glory days of the faucets and they're for free and I think that there are still in existence as of today.

That's a real free satoshis there but it is not a lot and most of the airdrops now are even giving a lot of money when they become successful.

But for someone who has no idea on what he's up to, he can try to spend spare time on those faucets just to feel how it works and then when you realize that it's just a waste of time, you stop.  Grin
892  Other / Off-topic / Re: COVID-19 has changed the world dramatically. on: January 31, 2024, 11:58:08 PM
Life changed because of pandemic , We will never forget this record all our life and the  next and next generations .
Too many lives have changed because of the pandemic and that will remain in our minds on how this virus have dramatically changed everyone's lives.

I feel like this post has been stuck in your outbox for 2-3 years. All countries are open to some degree, except maybe those that were never really open in the first place
Majority of the countries have reopened their borders and many have even removed those restrictions. Vaccinated or not, you're allowed to enter as long as you're documented.

While most economies are still trying to recover for every industry that they've been. It's just sad to see that there's still a lot of layoffs that are happening until now for it had started during the pandemic but this time, for a very different reason.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 31, 2024, 11:27:49 PM
Going with the other regions, they're done except with South America as they're starting out as of typing this and the grand finals is with Heroic and Boom Esports. I just noticed that the beastcoast we used to know have already changed their roster.

Western Europe's representative for this qualifier is Tundra Esports, they've ended the match against OG with a class.  Grin
Yup, beastcoast isn't the same anymore and they ran out of options now that the other orgs like Heroic and Boom got the better players.
I think that it's cheaper to operate there than any other regions so these orgs choose to be there and try some of these rosters if they'll work out.

As for SA, their representative is Heroic. What a fresh start for a new org on this game although technically they're not new to esports.

That WEU final was unexpected, I thought it would be another tournament secured for OG, but they got outdrafted in the first two games and lost the fourth game with one bad team fight.
It would be better if the ESL had given two slots for WEU so we get two good teams there. But still congrats to Tundra.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At a range of 2years, can a Bitcoin literate invest with a borrowed fund in BTC? on: January 31, 2024, 10:56:54 PM
Too much confidence will harm you.

Is he an expert and literate? it doesn't matter. While he do know the volatility of Bitcoin is there, he should be aware that he's like getting a rock to hit himself with it.

If he's literate to Bitcoin, what he needs to do is to get a source of income and spend his own money on it. The interest rates might even get his profits when he can sustain it.

Tell him that it's never been a good idea to invest in Bitcoin with a loan.
895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: January 31, 2024, 10:25:47 PM
I will not encourage newbies to get close to any signals trader or with those groups that promote it. You'll learn the hard way with them and you'll be complete dependent on it and at the same time, you're unsure whether it's going to help you or not.

If they're for free, as long as you won't spend any penny on them I guess it's fine. But when they start to ask you certain amount of money for their signals then you should run away from them.

It takes time to learn trading and to determine whether you're okay to stay on it for so long or you're going to choose other ways of remaining in the market such as holding.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 09:56:56 PM
I don't agree if gambling is equated with altcoin investment. because altcoins still have clear programs and good management. different from gambling which only relies on the luck factor.
Or is it possible that the altcoin investment you mean here is investing in memecoin?
It's about the risk I guess that when you investi n altcoins then you're taking risk and most likely defined as gambling by people.

if there's actually a way to gamble without investing anything/ or maybe a way to invalidate the payment-on-winning option, I think that would prove better to us why people decide to invest in the first place.. meanwhile, don't always forget to recall in a hurry that GAMBLING IS A GAME OF LUCK.
That's the definition that we hear a lot that gambling is a game of luck and even there are games that you can analyze and do a research, that's still not going to be gone as something that people have to remember that when you gamble, you're also playing with your own luck.

As you have fun, you think of the possible profit that you are about to get if lucky for that day.
897  Other / Off-topic / Re: In money making! Like father like son? What do you think on: January 31, 2024, 09:24:13 PM
It varies as per experience of everyone. It can be a reality to most but a myth to some. You'd see that many will say that it is the reality for them and that's why they're treating their fathers as their heroes and I am one of them.

But those that don't have a good childhood and experience with their fathers, they don't want to be like that have bad experiences and left them hanging with their families.

So, it varies but we know the answer of most.
898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always Make use of notepad app before posting on: January 31, 2024, 12:17:54 AM
This is very important and should be use first before making any post or commenting this help a lot in editing your post and replies.
Where and when did theymos make the law that everyone must first use a notepad to edit their posts before publishing in BTT?
It was just his personal opinion and probably he's applying that to himself.

Well, the writing pad itself as we reply is enough but if you want to be formal and perfect with your grammar then use all of those grammar check that have been mentioned.

And before you publish any post, make sure to check and re-read them. We're in an online forum so whether you're formal with your words or not, the thought and understanding are that counts.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 30, 2024, 11:30:02 PM
It is coming, the Golden State Warriors are looking for trades or any offers for Wiggins, CP3 and even Klay.

The first two are fine since Wiggins are really looking for a transfer and CP3 didn't stayed there for long. But for Klay? Okay, there is nothing he can do with it as it's always been Steph that they're eyeing for.

But we've seen some comments when Steph said if he's gonna be transferred, he'd like to do it with the Hornets.

Anyone could be traded, only Steph is safe with the Warriors. Wiggins name have been popping up in the last couple of months, Klay was reported didn't sign for the extension when he was offered so he might want to test the trade. Even Draymond is also being considered to be traded as well.

And we are nearing the trade deadline this February, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of those name are not going to be a Warrior mid February. If it involved their big 3 then the Golden State Warriors era are over and they will have to rebuilt around Curry next season, but it's going to be very tough.
Yeah, Steph will stay with the Warriors and he's got locked in contract IIRC. So, with the trades going on soon, we may see some familiar names going out of the Dub nation.

I can't imagine anyone wanting out for Charlotte.  They are continually a terrible franchise and can't seem to figure out.  Not that I'm for guys front running but why would you want the other side of your career be with a team that can't stay out of the lottery.  That's gotta be a lie.
Probably he's lying with that and even if I am at the peak of my career, I'd still want rings and will consider teammates that will help me out to get that and not with that team.

What other places can we use our bitcoin?
Bitrefill is what I can think of but you can't buy directly with Bitcoin through amazon and that's how this service is like.

You purchase gift cards that are available on your country as they detect you automatically what are the available goods and services to your geographical location.

Don't forget about the forum too, we've got goods section where you can buy everything there with btc.
