881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are your assets safe on Kraken?? on: March 17, 2024, 06:33:43 AM
Updates are normal for the apps to get the latest security protection for their users. But even if they will keep on updated, the best security is that you hold your own crypto but not through Kraken or any exchanges.

You have to practice your own security by handling your seeds and deposits. This is why we are our own bank in here because we handle our own funds and assets.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Bank on: March 16, 2024, 10:47:25 PM
Anyone who is familiar with digital bank?  All I know is that, unlike traditional bank, they do not have the bank building hence saving them from all costs related to it.  In my country, they are offering higher interest rates returns compare to their traditional bank counterpart.  Anyone knows the reason why they can do that?
They offer higher interest rates because their cost of operation is lower than the typical bank. That means that those rental expenses and other expenses from the branch is easily diverted to the depositors interest and that's why they can afford to pay depositrs higher interest rates.

Also, what is the pros and cons of using digital bank instead of traditional bank?
Pros: convenient

Cons: you as a depositor, you don't feel that you've deposited in the bank because their operations are digital and you have no physical location to complain with if ever you are in trouble.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stay off any missed opportunity on: March 16, 2024, 09:46:06 PM
I don't know if here is the right place for this post,  but if it's not, please redirect it,.
For the short time I have been into this crypto industry, I have observed and experience many things, especially when trading the spot market, it's very important that you stay off any missed opportunity,  like if a coin has already rise to a very high figure, don't just try to look if you can salvage something out from that particular market, because the price of that particular asset  might collapse on you, you will be used to clear liquidity, so it's best you look for another opportunity, in another asset, than to try try to salvage something from the missed opportunity.

I know that most of us here might have experience such before, and have been used to clear liquidity in the past, but it's very important we learn from them, opportunities are countless in the crypto industry, what is required is just patience, just wait for another opportunity than to do anything that will make you lose money.
As they say, "don't catch the falling knives".

I've done that before and thought that it's a good idea but in the end, I'm always getting stuck when I have to cut loss or else I have to go with the further losses because of the wrong entry and buying at the top.

Many investors and traders does this and for this reason, many are discouraged to go on with the newer projects. Unlike if we just DCA our favorite crypto to HODL, we don't have any problems from doing so and we'd be happy to keep as much as we can.

I feel bad for kuku. I think this is the 2nd time that his stack didn't qualify. Despite their good efforts on the playoffs and their journey at the upper bracket, they still fallen shortly when they've been beaten yesterday and this few moments ago.

There's a problem with his picking and he should have picked much better easy heroes and comfort heroes of his teammates. The last game that they have against Talon, it's a complete disaster and totally outplayed. How they can face these strength and tough heroes when their heroes were squishy and can't even deal damage against them.  Undecided

I am not a muslim but I have much respect for our muslim brothers and sisters and that's why I am greeting all of you Ramadan Mubarak.

Regardless of the religion or community that we are in, all of us have one goal in life and that's to live our lives peacefully.

And may you be blessed more with all of your sacrifices and fastings.
886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My opion and btc outlook for the next 2 years. on: March 16, 2024, 10:58:21 AM
So 60k-68k is good buying price then from here we go 110k then let's what happens.
But after 110k the next btc lowest support price will be around 90k.
So the main numbers for next 2 years 60k base level then 110-120k and then support 90k-100k.
That will be a fine support if we go ahead to $90k after hitting $110k but we have to see it actually first. Two years is going to be long because that's likely the bear market so up to 1 year, we have to see it go $100k.

Today Im loading up my bags Solana doge xrp xlm ada and eth Tron mostly for up coming alt season.
Good luck, sol is doing a great job and it's on the trend and many other projects especially the meme coins are operating there.
887  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 16, 2024, 09:58:10 AM
This is a hot topic on every community even in the working folks community. It's not that urgen that we give loan to anybody.

We shouldn't be forced and sacrifice our needs if ever someone is going to loan money from us. Just tell them that we're no bank and we have our own needs to cater.

It's simple as that and with that reason, that person won't ever approached you whether they'll take a loan or not and that's fine.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest in BTC or MicroStrategy MSTR? on: March 16, 2024, 08:56:50 AM
You're in a Bitcoin forum and everyone will say that they'll invest on BTC obviously. But those that are from outside and are fans of traditional investments, they'd choose MSTR or if they're looking at the market, they'd choose BTC too.

Most of us here are more familiar with the move of BTC and that's why it's an easy answer that everyone is going to buy that rather than going with MSTR.

But if you're a diversified investor and you're also optimistic with MSTR, then you choose what you think is right for you as an investor and as part of diversification.
889  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto excites everyone on: March 15, 2024, 11:24:47 PM
One of the positives of  digital currencies is that it provides an investment opportunity for everyone
Everyone is jumping to invest in crypto, young and old, , celebrities, businessmens, and even governments.

What if all countries in the world relied on crypto  in the future, what would happen?
It is a utopia that the world will rely on crypto in the future. While we're all optimistic that it might happen in the future but we're starting to see the reality that most countries won't allow it to happen because they have their own monetary system and as well as their currencies.

They can't be dependent to a market that's highly volatile that's being influenced by the people that are part of that community and market.

I'm totally if this happens in the future but I am already good that we get no ban from them and they're just so supportive to see the crypto market's progress without having that involvement of negativity from them.
890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HELP! ANY OF THESE TRADING PLATFORM ARE LEGIT? on: March 15, 2024, 10:52:05 PM
It's okay to be asking questions at all times when you're unsure of what you've found. But obviously, when you have the idea and guts about those platforms, don't force yourself and your curiosity into knowing them more.

I see that you've got the idea about the legitimate platforms and centralized exchanges. This is the reason why many are choosing them over unknown platforms is because of their reputation and they're unlikely to scam you with your money because they're all registered.

Avoid those platforms that you're asking and stick to the ones with reputations and known by the community despite them being a cex.
891  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did the beginning of 2024 surprise you? on: March 15, 2024, 10:19:50 PM
Surprise is about how the price of Bitcoin coped up and went into ATH without the halving effect yet.

So far, this year has been so good to me and I hope that it will always be like this at the end of the year and for every upcoming years to come. I am wishing for everyone's good start of the year as well.

Let's just all attract the positive vibes for our lives and families for this year until it ends and for the next years.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 15, 2024, 09:47:53 PM
If it's like a reality show, then we can think of almost every angle that we want to think about it.
Yeah, and it's like glorifying this gamblers, as they have been followed, then recorded and show to the world that maybe, just maybe if you bet your life saving, you can be this guy and win and double your money in a casino. But it's very wrong.
It's totally wrong but regardless of that whether it's for the show, there are real life gamblers that can do this easy.

But never in my whole life that I am going to bet to something that will change my life forever negatively with my life savings. If it's the opposite then that I'd bet for it if the conditions are favorable to me and if they're going to give me that benefit.

Lucky for the guy that made it and I don't think that there's another story behind the reel but I'd lean on the story about it being a "reality" show.

We will not do that if we are in the right frame of mind. Yes, most of the time we take big risk, but I don't think that I can take the risk what this man this, his whole life savings. Nah, I will think of my family first before I can do that. And 100% the answer will be is that my family is more important I wouldn't go that far because once the result is not in my favor, not only me, but my wife, kids will also suffer and I don't want that to happen.
I know right, we won't be betting all of our life savings just for a spin of roulette or even a dice or even with the favorite clubs and teams that we're following in sports.

That's just the craziest thing that I might do but never in my entire life and in second life will do it.
893  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 15, 2024, 09:19:04 PM
Well I think having savings saved up is more important then a investment. There is times is our life when we need money to have basic things like food, clothing, and shelter.
That's true but I disagree about it being more important than investment. We can compare a situation like we've been holding bitcoin as this is considered as an investment than we choose to save money in the banks or wherever you are saving your fiat.

It is only a good idea to invest if we can afford to lose those funds. There is no way to make sure we get good profits from a investment. But having a savings we know our funds are safe and we can use them when we have to.
This is also true.

There is no guaranteed cash back in investments and it's like a gamble but once you're able to see that there's an opportunity within, you're going to get as much as you can and will get addicted to it than saving.

895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've projected my holding after this bull run. what's yours? on: March 15, 2024, 08:20:09 PM
Everyone has the same plans as we invest in Bitcoin. We buy BTC, hold and then sell if you need that in fiat.

But what I can say is that the majority of us don't have plans yet and we don't know what to do if we ever get into that point of our lives that we've been in crazy profit.

Those that don't have plans yet, they'd just wait because this is a long game and you'll definitely change your life upon looking at that point of your life when you held Bitcoin while the others don't.
896  Other / Off-topic / Re: Taking profits vs bitcoin value on: March 15, 2024, 07:48:27 PM
Hello. Let's say that I own .25 bitcoin (1/4 slice). I bought it at a low price US$16,000. The price rises to US$64,000. I want to take a portion of my profit, say US$100.00 for example. Question: Does my slice reduce after taking the US$100.00 profit or does it remain at .25 ?
You have to sell a portion of it and that's why it's going to lessen the 0.25 BTC that you're holding.

But don't mind about the slice that you're going to get from it because you're in profit already.

at current preev rate
OMG, I didn't realized they're back.

Those are the works of a philanthropists.

I can do whatever I want with that much money and that's for sure, to give back to the community to the best that I can and in the capacity that I can.
that is a good attitude mate , you are so kind that you wanted to extend hand for the community instead of just spending the coins yon your own.
Because I've been there in the lowest and that's why if I've got some extra, I would give back if I can but of course. I have my own standards too on who are those that I'll be giving mine.

Quote
But if someone is wealthy, they're the ones to take care of their wealth and can decide whether to give back or not. They're not obliged at all but they're free to do it if ever they want.
this is the difference between those riches that comes from poor family than those who are born with silverspoon , because we wanted to help the community .
Yes, giving back to the community is what it is because they've experienced the toughness of where they've been before.

It's part of my plan but it's better to just keep it to yourself whenever you do a good thing whether soon or in the near future.
being a silent helper will bring you blessings in the future than those who are helping in front of camera .
I agree, sadly, many content creators have been doing poverty porn and they make money out of it. That's why if I'll be giving back to anyone, it's best to just stay silent and let the Creator return the favor to me.  Smiley
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 14, 2024, 10:56:28 PM
I’m always betting on NBA without watching it. I’m just relying on the stats on the team prior to their upcoming matches to have a better understanding on how they can perform against their current opponent. I only watch NBA occasionally since it’s not available on free tv channels in my country so I’m just relying on highlights on the internet to easily catch up to the team performance.

I occasionally bet too on baseball and cricket even though I never watch any of this game before. This is part of having fun when I have extra dollars remaining after placing my main bet.
I do this as well.

Although I have my knowledge about basketball and the league itself, it doesn't mean that someone who doesn't watch the game don't have fully knowledge about it.

But because of hectic schedules and unforeseen timings, we don't have to watch the game but we like placing some bets when we know who's likely to win the game and if the odds are good.

Hello Alec, welcome to this great community.

If you can start out some discussions that you think that you can share, it's better to share knowledge to everyone that might be interested into the same tech that you're enthusiasts of (outside crypto/blockchain).

To the other newbies that have joined the forum recently, I do hope that all of you enjoy your stay and we're all on this bull run together although it won't be that long as it will be followed by you know what's next but that's a different thing to discuss.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 14, 2024, 09:22:22 PM
In early days of Covid I wrote this: Everyone laughed at me  Btc was 3k$.
There is no covid yet on 2018 when that's the lowest price of BTC after hitting its former ATH of $19k-$20k.

But this is not something we need to debate because 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
I agree but people like him will like to boast again when BTC gets to $100k and more. That's like a revenge again to him if ever he's really an enthusiast and have told people to buy when it was so cheap.

But to be honest, there's no need to be like and just mind your own holdings and get rich when you're able to sell at the right time. As most of us here don't have exit plans and unlikely to sell all of our holdings.
